So, we’re learning that there has been all sorts of governmental violation of the First Amendment, for a long time and continuing today.
Like many other rights we have always taken for granted, we assumed the government would stay in its lane and respect “the people.”

The ones at stores and shopping centers are usually not free. You have to download an app and pay through it. If you park in that space without an EV, it earns you a ticket similar to illegal parking in a disabled spot.
The free chargers are normally at real estate and tourist info offices. Towns pay for the charge to attract those who might want to consider moving there.
Look at it this way, gas which is cheap relatively speaking works in much cheaper gas cars. Which lower income people can afford.
Not only are we all subsidizing the green-electric mandates coming, we pay more to have an independent means of transportation. If you can’t afford your own car, gas or electric, no big deal as the government and greenies feel because you should be using public transit anyway. I don’t think the gove likes people voting with their feet anyway with cheap transportation.
A brand-new Chevy Bolt or Nissan Leaf sells for $26-28k. Last year’s models sell used for half that. No more expensive to buy than gas-powered cars. (Most people want commuter cars, not a Tesla.)
I’m sure you are right about subsidizing the grid expansion through our taxes and fees, but the prices to own have roughly equalized between the old and new technologies. GM offers perks like helping to pay for a 240v home charger. Some states provide rebates, depending on purchasing qualifying makes/models.
I do wish we had better public transportation in US cities, because things like commuter light rail are much safer than driving on freeways. Very few bother to own cars in European and Scandinavian cities. They don’t need to.

Ed, I use the Brave browser on a desktop as my primary method of accessing the site. It blocks pop-ups and ads, based on Chromium so the “controls” are all just like Google Chrome, easy to use.
I don’t do anything on my cell phone but I realize I’m in an increasingly small minority.
I believe Brave makes app versions of the browser for iPhones and Androids… but I have never tried either.
I tried Brave and all it did was remove all my contact e-mails and favorites. I left it behind and started over..Oh, that was with a lap top. can’t afford the cost of a iPone, and never did trust Apple anyhow.

I was against the flawed candidacy of Kent in the primary but I just donated to his partial recount effort. The ballot counts for all the offices in WA don’t correlate well, for example you would expect many more straight Pub-only ballots to reflect a different count.
I received an email from his people in which I was able to donate to this specific fund via Paypal into Anedot. I did not have to log in to Anedot to get it to work, but anyone not getting the email may have to, I don’t know.
I do not know if you can just contribute to his regular campaign site instead and have the same effect.
I call him flawed because I did not care for the carpet bagging in from Oregon as an, apparently, ex-Sanders democrat. I also did not appreciate his deception against the best America First candidate Heidi St John regarding P Trump’s endorsement challenge which Kent already knew he had before challenging St. John.
However, the McFails spent money against Kent in the general and that’s virtually an endorsement for him for me.

To claim the curfew is needed to “protect the citizens and businesses”because 38000 people lost their power is complete NONSENSE. Repeatedly the last few years in California, several MILLION people have had power shut off by PG&E and told not to expect it back on for several days. They didn’t declare a curfew to protect them … in a state full of potential looters.
My take? This is a test to see if people will go along with such an infringement on their freedom?

1) The latest squeals about “Trump & Muh Constitution” are a classic example of what the great Rush Limbaugh used to say of Trump:
Liberals take him literally but not seriously, conservatives take him seriously but not literally.
Trump very clearly made the point that . . .
2) ALREADY the Rutabaga’s evil occupancy of the White House is quasi-Constitutional; that it was obtained by force and fraud; that the Department of INJustice operates as a fascist storm-trooper SS wing of the White House . . .
3) and that virtually NOTHING the evil Rutabaga does is Constitutional, let alone in the best interests of the American people.

Literally or not, Trump’s statements bring up a very good point.
The Founders were not perfect; there are scenarios that they failed to address when drafting the Constitution. This means it is up to us to make up for it. The question is, how do we do it?
