Having said that, todays media makes their money on tragedy and controversy. Just watch the View for 2 minutes and hear the audience applaud when they say outlandish things about certain people and events.
I wish this kinda stuff didn’t sell, but people tune in and the purveyors get wealthy. Not many people want to hear THE TRUTH they want to hear their truth and create problems for non supporters.

So look over here at the big bad number, lol. Can someone please explain to me how we got here? This was a damages hearing, all well and good. But what process that brought us to this phase? What I know is they started with the discovery phase and the court demanded evidence that Defense said didn’t exist. I know more documents were turned over during discovery, by the Defense, then any other normal american has ever turned over, by a lot. I know the judge defaulted the Defense on its “refusal to turn over” evidence. I am pretty sure there were motions to got to trial by the defense as well. How do they skip the trial phase? Or how did it move past that? I have seen Alex all over tv saying he was denied that but nobody makes that the question to be answered? Everyone wants to talk about free speech and make that the story when to me it looks like our right to trial by jury was stripped away. This is where im lost and need some explaining if anyone can. In a civil trial, both sides exchange discovery, and it is generally a self-governing process. If one side is withholding evidence or abusing the discovery process (e.g. harassing a witness at a depo), the other side motions the court and the judge will step in and stop the abuse.
If the abuse continues, the court will sanction the abuser. e.g. If a defendant withholds emails, fines assessed for wasted time and the emails must be turned over.
But courts should not impose excessive sanctions. See Cire v Cummings, TX Supreme Court (2004) “In other words, “[t]he punishment should fit the crime . . . courts must consider the availability of less stringent sanctions and whether such lesser sanctions would fully promote compliance.” Id. (emphasis added). Jones claims to have turned over all the discovery requested, so I am confused as to why sanctions were even necessary, let alone the most extreme of sanctions, the default judgment. What could Jones possibly have been withholding? The case is a ridiculous claim of defamation: that Jones somehow defamed the plaintiffs by saying that Sandy Hook was a Hoax. Okay, that means that Jones made public statements about the plaintiffs that were not true and caused them damage. Since Jones is a Media personality, the standard is “malice”, which means that Jones had to have known his statements were false when he made them, or that he made them in reckless disregard to their truthfulness.
So in discovery, the Plaintiffs will ask for Jones statements concerning Sandy Hook: emails and recordings of shows, hoping that one email says, “I know Sandy Hook really happened, but I’m going to lie about it in order to hurt innocent people and make money.”
The shows are all public, so recordings can’t be withheld. Jones turned over emails. Jones sat for depositions. So what is missing? Where is the abuse?
I find it curious that all the courts are defaulting against Jones. Why aren’t these cases allowed to proceed to trial?
Well, at trial, Jones would be permitted to show why he was not reckless in saying that Sandy Hook was a Hoax. e.g. Jones could show that birth certificates and death certificates did not exist for the deceased; or that ballistic evidence proved that Lanza was not the shooter; or that the Sandy Hook school was not in operation; or that there was a FEMA drill in operation.
All of that could be presented to a jury, and the jury would say, “That doesn’t sound reckless. It sounds very reasonable to believe that Sandy Hook was a Hoax.”
So really, the only way Jones could lose, was to have a default judgment against him. In 3 different courts. And get assessed A BILLION DOLLARS in damages.

Jones + his guest + once lawyer, Barnes, said they demanded to see his marketing documents + google analytics that would prove he’d held meetings + strategized to take advantage of the interest in SH across the country by sensationalizing it so his audience would grow + he’d get more traffic to his store.
Both people said Jones doesn’t use google analytics + there was no documentation on plans to use SH because —- it didn’t happen. They couldn’t give him documents that were never written.
So the Judge said — AH!!!!! — and defaulted him for withholding evidence.
Doug Hagman said the default was (in part) that they demanded video archives related to SH.
But most of those years were on youtube + youtube refused to provide the data for the Court + IW had no backup system before they got deplatformed.

I’m surprised there is, as far as a I can tell, no pointing out in this post of the utter absurdity of this lawsuit. I read CTH first, most everyday, to get thoughtful deep dives into the big picture of current events. Seems to be missing here.
It makes me wonder if CTH even has topics in which they are afraid to honestly respond. Out in the ‘regular world’, most are afraid to ever say anything supportive of Trump, for fear of the mob or alienating friends, supporters, and colleagues.
I may be wrong, but with the magnitude of this case and what it’s implications are especially given the political timing, I find it odd there wasn’t a more thorough review.
Rush Limbaugh used to say one has to listen for six weeks before making a judgement. It took me a long time to understand Alex Jones, but in my opinion, he dives deeper and is correct more often than most.
Like Trump, or Palin, and many others, people often can’t get past the personality or style of speech to comprehend the message.

This too is what I would like to have said about CTH. A few months back when the Texas suit ended, CTH posted a photo and said here look at the number and nothing about how it got there. “We didn’t pay attention to the trial”. There was no trial and a deep dive into what has happened here is very important. But then maybe you are right. There are subjects that even CTH cant get into.

Your question was answered. The crooked judge declared a default judgement of guilty because she claimed that Jones was withholding evidence during the discovery phase of the trial. It’s as simple as that. All it takes is one crooked judge and a lapdog media.

The leftwing judge sitting on his trial actually did not allow a trial to go forward because, in the discovery phase, she ruled that the Alex Jones team had defaulted on their discovery even though they had given the court everything they had asked for.
She then went straight to the Penalty phase and instructed the jury that Jones was Guilty (bypassing the trial!) and all they were allowed to decide was the amount of the penalty.
Then the government lawyers grossly misrepresented Jones’s assets and when the jury was polled afterwards, they said they weren’t planning to destroy the man but thought that each complainant should get about 10% of his wealth. They didn’t realize that he didn’t have nearly that much money.
So the whole problem is that the court and the leftwing judge trashed his due process rights, Set Fire to the bill of rights, and burned down the Constitution. As they do.
Let’s not forget the Vegas shooting.

Couple good documentaries out there you can find on rumble. From my memory it was that 1) the creepy corner that was laughing at his press conference and claimed he completed 21 autopsies in less than 24 hrs and said one type of gun was responsible only for the police to claim it was a different gun. 2) The parents going on Good Morning America about 48 hrs after the event and the very strange Robby Parker press conference. 3) There was some evidence that the school had actually been shut down years earlier due to mold and federal dollars had built a brand new school that the other area children were at that day. Photos of Sandy Hook from the week of the event shows mold and disrepair. It really doesn’t look like there SHOULD have been young children there. 4) The immediate area around the school was completely clogged with cars. No ambulances could actually get up to the school. No one was seen going in to help or rescue any victims that were laying there bleeding out (like Uvalde). 5) Weird things like a huge sign in the background telling everyone to “sign in” and an order for port a potties delivered to the scene. Why at a crime scene do you need port a potties delivered? There was a lot of other stuff that never made sense to me but these always bothered me.
You should listen to him at the Steven Crowder show link. He says on there that he had had some guests that had the theory that it was a hoax — and then he realized that some of these people were kooks and he publicly, years ago, on his show, said that he No Longer believed that it was a hoax.

Apparently the same Law Firm has been pursuing similar cases around the country and stuffing their faces with all the money.
I followed the Sandy Hook event early on and there were very ODD things about it. Very odd. I’ve never been a fan of AJ. The way the whole event was handled was bizarre and most of the “evidence” was never seen. Even the MSM picture of Adam Lanza was suspect of being photoshopped. I did see pictures of him they found from his home and he looked pretty normal. Folks can can me a a conspiracy nut, but there were questions to be asked and a LOT of odd things about the whole event. Including early reports of a person leaving in the woods, etc. I know that early reports are usually incomplete or erroneous, but there were so many odd things about the event. Even the fact that the coroner did not allow the parents to see their children (which should be their own choice). Pretty much all evidence was hidden away, which I thought odd.
Pretty much all the video and sites that had questions about SH have been purged from the internet. There were some site that brought forward info as they found it, but they all seem to be gone now. There was a lot of footage, both on the ground and aerial footage of the school after. All seems to have evaporated. Probably means nothing, but just that time has a way of doing that. Truth is, I see why folks questioned what the heck was happening. Robbie Parker was one of the oddest. He literally went from laughing to working up to crying, while on camera just like an actor. It was bizarre.
