DeSantis will lose. His personal wealth is listed at 350K the last time I checked. That’s not enough to pay for a house.
So, he will have to go begging for money, and those are generally the same people who really support the one world agenda either overtly or covertly. And they’ll require some form of proof from him that he will deliver for their agenda. My guess would be the equivalent of a filmed trip to whatever has replaced epstein island. People don’t give away millions and millions of dollars ’cause they like your haircut. They want something in return.
President Trump, on the other hand, has independent resources and knows the billionaires.
Also – according to the Electoral College rules, two candidates cannot live in the same state so either Trump would have to leave Florida (unlikely) or DeSantis would which be moving the big fish out of the small pond. Also – Trump has far more recognition in global community and has earned respect with many global leaders. As a proven businessman and avid supporter of the common man, Trump has earned has earned their respect and support as well. 100 million Americans all agree that they were far better off under the Trump administration than under the current gang of thieves and criminals.
But DeSantis is certainly the perfect roadmap for how a governor should behave and stands for the people of Florida. Other governors should follow his lead. Let’s hope they do.
thanks, nope, he can’t win
Stuff and nonsense. Have you any idea how much DeSantis has raised for his Florida re-election? A record amount
That is for a State campaign, Global takes 50x that and more.
When President Trump formally announces that he is running for President in 2024, the best thing Governor DeSantis can do for the America-First Movement is stand on the same stage and announce that he is not running, and will campaign for President Trump all over America.
At the same time, Gov DeSantis should announce that he will remain as Governor of Florida, and not join the new Trump administration. We need him as a continuing example of how the States should be governed. In 2028, he will inherit President Trump’s legacy, and deservedly so.
What about Trump’s VP? Don’t you think he or she will have something to say about that inheritance?
He doesn’t have a Florida successor. He hasn’t built a coalition or a cohesive agenda for other’s to build on.
There are a list of about 5 Demorest, that would win over any Republican in Florida politics right now. There isn’t one single super star that has the recognition as DeSantis that could even be considered in the same league as Ron. Except for maybe Sheriff Grady Judd.
If Ron left Florida in 2024 to run for President. Florida would elect the most Commie Governor in America. The first thing they would do is undo everything Ron DeStantis has done, then they would install vote by mail, and rank choice primaries. It would be the end of Red Florida for years to come. The Red counties wouldn’t have any say in Florida.
I think you have that about right. He needs to start pulling in someone to follow him and keep the Florida GOPe in line.
The big issue is getting the GOPE in line Nationwide . I mean look at Rinos like Mitch McConnell or Romney ? My God they are so dead set against blue collar America it is a joke.
No doubt. But I’m assuming that if Gov DeSantis can continue to grow in America-First and Constitutional policy-leading, his star will continue ascending, and he will be the natural successor. The Vice-Presidency is not always (or even often) a position in which one can shine.
Then, too, regarding 20204: The President and Vice-President cannot be from the same State. Conceivably President Trump could switch his residence, but I’ll like it better if he doesn’t, and Governor DeSantis stays in Florida.
What’s the rush to get a 43 year young governor, who seems to be doing a good job, out of Florida?
He’s not needed on the ticket to bring in votes nor is he needed in DC once President Trump wins, so the push to get him out of Florida just as the kid is starting to be successful seems odd and unwise; except from a malevolents perspective. Then it makes alot of sense.
Dr. Carson is the perfect place holder.
I LIKE the way your thinking !!!!! Anybody else that you can think of for places in the executive staff ?
I cannot claim to know for sure what is happening in the head of Ron DeSantis or Trump in this regard.
However, there are some things we should watch out for, based on what has happened publicly.
Much of the admiration for DeSantis that we see is nothing more than that and is absolutely fine.
But the way we see this reported even in Fox, is as though this were a race of one of them against the other. And the one thing that truly can be held against DeSantis, maybe, is that he has made little or no effort to shut down such talk.
On the other hand, I take seriously the opinion of Dan Bongino, who speaks with both men, that DeSantis will absolutely not run if Donald Trump does. I remember too, that good men also conspire sometimes, and there could be an agreement between djt, and DeSantis to hold out a false flag of a DeSantis run to keep the field relatively clear.
That is possible, and wouldn’t be a bad idea. But we must remember the great temptation the presidency inspires in anyone with a smidgen of lust for power, including those who believe themselves that they only want it for good, and that much of the publicity from third parties on this question has been to appeal to that kind of instinct in Ron Desantis, if he has any vulnerability at all. I agree with those who say that DeSantis has been an ideal governor for Florida, and has said the right things about the larger struggle in this country, for the most part at least.
The only thing I can add to that is that there is one thing Ron DeSantis has not done, and that is to pass purified Through The Crucible that Donald Trump has, along with at least one other person, Devin Nunes.
We may still have time to see whether Ron DeSantis continues to inspire our confidence. But for the formation of a ticket at this time, I see only one, perhaps two people, who are certain to be trustworthy faced with the greatest Temptations we know of. Devin Nunes lost his job on the intelligence committee and in the gang of eight for a while, because of charges made against him by those who wanted to get him out of the way, so that they could get Trump out of the way. Nunez was able to come back from that and regain his status in the Intel committee and gang of eight, and then, simply did not run again for Congress. I don’t know if redistricting had been gerrymandered against him, but in lieu of running for congress, he has gone to work directly for Donald J Trump. I think Nunes is also the one person on our side, and proven to be on our side, who knows enough about the swamp from years in the intelligence committee and on the gang of eight, to overthrow it. But even now, he cannot speak of most of that, certainly not publicly, because the pledge to secrecy of those institutions is Ironclad and famously strict.
But I remember that there are two qualities we need in a vice president these days. One is the ability to take over as president, and I think we can see that Devin Nunes would be well prepared for the greatest fight our president will face, but there is a second quality that comes to count while still in the office of Vice President. And that is the quality of scaring the beeJesus out of the opposition, and making them think that maybe the president in office is not the worst enemy they could face. In other words, it is a defense against impeachment or assassination. Devin Nunez has that quality more than anyone else in public life possibly could. It is a quality Mike Pence either never had, or gave up voluntarily in secret.
The only other Republican that would scare the Democrats in that sense to a similar degree would be Sarah Palin, and I regret that she does not have the needed inside knowledge of Washington, yet, that I think she will a few years from now. And sadly, neither does Ron DeSantis.
So, I think Ron DeSantis stands best remaining governor of Florida for a while, and then being seriously considered as our next presidential candidate. I don’t think he is our best choice for vice president. And I cannot be certain that Donald Trump will be able to actually destroy the swamp in a single term. So we may be well advised to decide that Devin Nunes should in fact be the next president after Trump. Only Time Will tell.
Fortunately, President Trump will listen to EVERYONE but ultimately, ONLY President Trump will decide who his VP will be.
Additionally, President Trump will troll for reactions by putting out names while keeping his TRUE thoughts SCIF tier secret.
Only at the last possible moment will he let his choice be known.
“If defeated, he’d go peacefully.” Yep. That is just what this country needs: McCain / Romney redux. Gadzooks, these GOPe fossils are idiots! They have learned nothing from what has happened during the last 10 years.
It would be a good political move for DeSantis to distance himself from the Frum endorsement immediately.
Agree !!!! What a moronic statement right up their with Liz C. AND HER “ELECTION DENIER” LINE OF CRAP.
David Frum endorsement is as good as a Mike Pence endorsement.
lol !!!!
I don’t respect the analytical opinion of anyone calling for Ron DeSantis to run in 2024. And not just because I would rather Donald Trump run in 2024.
They are either politically ignorant to the subtle hard realities of Politics, and are just want Ron to run because it makes them feel good. Or they are smart enough to realize if that Ron DeSantis resigned from running a second term in Florida, without laying down a foundation and a coalition to follow up and carry on the keep Florida free agenda and policies. Then someone like Charlie Christ or Andrew Gallium would get in there and undo everything he did. Pass rank choice primaries, and make sure a Ron DeSantis would never happen ever again. In the meantime, Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump would cancel out each other’s base by splitting both of their movements in two. That primary would be so tumultuous the rift it would create, would be a chasm that would would only deepen by the November election. Half the base would sit home butt hurt sulking their guy didn’t win.
This Bozo even knows as much, he even concludes that Ron would lose with grace and go quietly. I don’t know how true that is to Ron’s character, but it shows, Frum has selfish reasons for Ron to run, because he thinks he would lose.
Ron needs to stay in Florida and be a beacon of freedom, and lead the Red States in breaking away from D.C.s influence and asserting the State’s rights on every front. In the event that the 2022 and 2024 national elections are rigged.
Ron needs to stay here to ensure that the future elections in Florida through 2028 anyway, are free and clear.
Frump
And after the liberal media got done with he and his candidacy he would be unrecognizable from Trump…except Trump fights back.
Huh? Have you not seen DeSantis fight back? He just does it with more finesse and skill than Trump. And he’s not thin-skinned like Trump
Silence TROLL!
Frum is an open NeverTrumper who endorsed both Hillary and Biden.
That tweet doesn’t necessarily means he supports DeSantis outright, at face value it only means he would prefer him over Trump. But if he DOES support DeSantis outright, that is a very serious problem.
Love Ron DESantis. Not thin-skinned with the press as Trump is; quicker on his feet- and he’s not in his late 70s.
LMAO go away libtard Troll.
Anyone who will go peacefully when defeated — especially when cheated out of what is rightfully theirs — should just go now.
We don’t need losers hanging around waiting to eat the big-boy’s table scraps any longer.
Mike Pence, if you’re reading, this includes you.
LOL!!! Well, if Frum’s endorsement doesn’t shine a bright light on DeSantis, I suppose nothing will. To me, at least, this is the death knell of any DeSantis acceptance from the MAGA portion of the population.
And now, here is my ‘suspicious cat’: Could the David Frum endorsement actually have been purposeful? MAGA understands David Frum and his politics. Why would he endorse DeSantis….other than to inject negativity into any interest in DeSantis? Is this being done to ensure that people lose interest in him, or question his motives? (Yes, I have read the Sundance article questioning DeSantis, as well….but I do find Frum’s endorsement HIGHLY suspicious, where such motives may be well beneath the surface……)
