I remember how long it took for many of us to realize Sessions was a snake, or at least to realize he was a weak link in the chain.
Some saw the red flags in DeSantos for a while, but post-raid his actions spoke loud and clear. For others, it will take longer.

The case for and/or against Desantis as MAGA is still in deliberation for myself.
I still have a gut feel that President Trump is hedging bets and working with Desantis as his replacement.
That only works if Desantis is disassociated from a rampaging king-maker President Trump. Desantis risks much more than the other politicians directly supporting him, who get to stand for election or re-election IN MAGA AREAS of the US. His stage is national in context, as in he needs State Electoral Votes. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem may be in the same situation, and as there is still 6 months to primary season I will give her some latitude as well.
The Governor of Oklahoma would also be an interesting person to watch as well., as far as Presidential or VP considerations. I base this on watching his actions and traveling through OK during the sham-demic.

Hey all. We don’t have to decide this today. I am a big DeSantis fan. I live in Florida. Count my blessings everyday that he is in charge. I don’t know if Sundance is right about Ron DeSantis. But I’m willing to consider it. And I will certainly add that lens to my viewing of every move he makes. And we’ll see what happens. It certainly would make sense that the GOPe would try to construct an America First candidate that would keep the border open and free trade. There are trillions at stake. All their retreads were exposed and killed off by Trump in 2016. The bench is empty. So it would make sense that they would try to build another. A few million people without ties to government that have had successful lives, careers, and managed it all in a budget without stolen tax dollars. The offices of the federal government are not supposed to be what they are today. The offices of the federal government are meant to be held by SIMPLE PEOPLE who have real jobs and work and know their neighbors.
Most every capable person is NOT psychologically unsound and thereby just want to live their lives outside of politics without the need for power to control their fellow neighbors..

Did you design this event in AZ to warn all of us? DeSantis jumped the gun, which I believe he will later regret, since this could mean the end of his political ambitions. MAGA is not going to forgive him trying to split the party like this if he is aligning with the treacherous TDS element in the GOP and is coming out as a competitor to Trump in 2024. ESPECIALLY since the dirty work to try to take down Trump happened under his nose in Florida. Where’s the news conference where he takes questions on whether he knew about the raid ahead of time? How is LE in Florida obligated to cooperate with Biden’s FBI Gestapo? Where is the Affidavit that started the process of the search warrant? Why are people saying no one will EVER see this? What are these criminal rats trying to hide? This stinks to HIGH HEAVEN.

At this point, Kari Lake is a rising star. She has won a primary and not the Governor’s race. Ron DeSantis is the Governor of the 3rd most populous state. Kari Lake is still a candidate. You’d think some here would understand billing.
