Joe Biden officially declared that Donald J Trump is “the Great MAGA King,” during a speech last month.
Well, according to the latest polling results from the Turning Point USA, Student Action Summit, a new generation would agree with Biden. Donald Trump wins the 2024 straw poll with 79% support. The next closest candidate was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 19%, and all other candidates are asterisks.
(Via Fox News) – Tampa, Fla.– Former President Donald Trump dominated the 2024 GOP presidential nomination straw poll at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit Sunday, Fox News has learned.
TPUSA polled conference attendees—youth activists from around the country—who they would vote for in 2024 if Trump decided to launch another White House run. The straw poll was sponsored by Turning Point Action, the affiliated 501(c)(4) of TPUSA. 78.7% attendees said they would vote for Trump.
19% said they would vote for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, 1% said they’d vote for South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, 0.5% said they’d vote for former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo; 0.3% said they would vote for Sen. Ted Cruz, 0.3% said they’d vote for former Amb. Nikki Haley; and 0.3% said they’d vote for former Vice President Mike Pence.
Trump spoke at the conference Saturday night, hinting at a 2024 run. His speech was the keynote on the second day of the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit. Trump’s speech followed one Friday night by DeSantis, who’s considered along with Trump one of the foremost potential GOP 2024 contenders. (read more)
Assuming Trump wins, how much of the federal bureaucracy could Trump fire without getting impeached and removed from office? In a second term, Trump has no “stick” to keep the bureaucracy in line. He’d have to fire at least 25% to put fear in them.
I will say it again and keep saying it. He needs to go all out to cut 1/3 of all Fed agencies, cut 25% from remaining agencies, and reduce remaining admin personnel salaries by 25%.
I’d go 50% cut back.
75%.
Declare a national budget emergency. Give the rats a severance and send em home.
Just read this. Sounds like a plan to me! https://www.axios.com/2022/07/22/trump-2025-radical-plan-second-term
This is an amazingly detailed and well-done article. It’s from Axios, so where they have a sense of alarm, I have a sense of hope. Thank you for sharing. I have spread it around myself.
Everyone, please read the article SupY’all has linked.
If I could upvote you a hundred times, I would!!
An interesting out take from the article is this: Schedule F would eliminate the “power of checks and balances over the executive branch” .
Huh? They are the executive branch!!! Shows very clearly how they feel the President should just be a figurehead, and that they (bureaucrats) are the real power.
Thank you!
I feel some hope now.
Do some research. He signed an Executive order in his last term, which Biden promptly rescinded, and which PDJT can sign again.
Understanding a POTUS doesn’t sign an Executive order, until the lawyers have vetted it to insure its legal,…
It gave the POTUS authority to declare up to 70,000 (IIRC) Civil service jobs in a new category;
If there job duties impacted the implementation of Public policy, either in whole or in part, they can be terminated by the POTUS.
Obama embedded a great many political appointees into the swamp, by having them move from a recognised politucal appointee job, into a civil service job, which insulated them from being fired, this approach of PDJT is a way to address that.
He KNOWS he needs to address this, and he is ready.
And no, Impeachment has become an empty threat, they have “shot both barrels”, and have no more ammunition.
See SupY’all’s link above. It talks about this among many other things the Trump organization is doing.
Make sure the GOP has the House and Senate majorities. The GOP will not impeach him (as much as some of them would want to). Some of the key RINOs are gone already, some are on their way out.
One of my new favorite lines;
There are no RINOS, there are only Democrats, currently in control of both parties.
If we had retained GOP majority in the House in 2018, Trump would never have been impeached. Likewise 2020 and the second impeachment. And if there were a J6 commission they would have looked at actual evidence.
Impeached by whom? The GOP should hold the house and senate.
Seriously? The majority of the GOP in the swamp despise President Trump and us and would definitely impeach if they thought they could get away with it.
They would not have impeached him. They would also not try to pass legislation to legalize abortion nationwide, or clamp down tighter on gun ownership. Some of them go along with what the Dems do, but they would not initiate it themselves.
And look, the GOP in the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh and Barrett. That never would have happened with a Dem majority.
STOP LETTING DEMS HAVE THE MAJORITIES.
He needs to go full steam ahead.
If the UniParty starts down the road of impeachment for his acting on the will of the people, then… it’s time.
DeSantis is owned by Deep State. Notice how they allowed him to do all of the good for Florida without much intervention? The Deep State is counting on DeSantis to beat Trump with a steal. DeSantis is in on it as well. He plans to run. I have been seeing him in interviews and they are feeding him kudos and questions that make him look good. They can manipulate DeSantis just like they manipulate all of the RINO’s in Congress and Senate. He is owned and don’t forget it!
I want a president that Deep State try to impeach multiple times and investigate for his entire presidency. You know that you have the right man when the Establishment go nutso!
I think you are wrong about DeSantis, the MSM lies and bashes him every chance they get. The MSM does what they are told.
Totally agree. Ask Floridans…THEY LOVE DeSantis. I’d take DeSantis…..
I don’t doubt that DeSantis plans to run in 2024, but only if Trump doesn’t run.
I cannot even imagine where we would be if Trump had just stayed home.
Amen! Well stated!
I have no doubt a part of him very much WANTED to.
GOD wouldn’t let him.
Noah wasn’t initially very enthusiastic about building an ark, and moses was dragged, kicking and screaming,…lol.
I have no doubt a part of him very much WANTED to.
When you go back and watch old vids of DJT talking about running for President it is clear to me he knew the day for him was coming yet he was hoping it would not.
He KNEW how bad it was going to be. How could he not? As a business man in NYC he dealt with the demoncrats daily for over half a century !
I don’t think it can be cured in a civil manner…
Who else could have shut out both Bush and Clinton??? lol
We would be looking at the Beast in a tablecloth instead of shuffling dementia patient.
G.L.O.R.I.O.U.S. !!!
Sadly, most GOP Congress Critters are going to vote for Franks roommate.
Love the term ‘Great MAGA King’ captures how foolish Biden really is and how people wish the years of Trump would be here for a lifetime. Cheers to Truth, Courage, and Victory over these Communists
Trump will be well schooled this time. No longer green he will use his instincts to select patriots and not be talked into Rino’s. The positive that has come out of this is the evil has been exposed darkness has been exposed for all to see. We will get though this it’s going to take awhile but America will be returned to the people God Bless America and God bless the real POTUS.
that’s very bad news
That poll is absolutely no slam on DeSantis. I think Conservative America loves the guy, but this is Trumps fight to win. There needs to be retribution system for Leftist malfeasance in government, or something to that effect. Only Trump has the fire to do that.
I agree, it’s not bad for DeSantis. If Trump had said he wasn’t running the percentage for DeSantis would have been much higher.
The poll with Trump in it is overwhelmingly for Trump over all others.
The poll without Trump falls back to be overwhelmingly DeSantis.

2024 TPUSA GOP Primary Straw Poll
w/o Trump:
Ron DeSantis – 87%
Donald Trump Jr – 6%
Ted Cruz – 2%
Kristi Noem – 1.5%
Mike Pompeo – 1%
Glen Youngkin – 1%
Mike Pence – 0.5%
Don Jr probably shouldn’t be President but he would make a really fun VP. 🙂 Or handle HHS or something.
No one can beat Trump in Primary if he runs. It’s why DOJ is going to take action.
But Adam Kinzinger says hard core MAGA can’t stand Trump.
Every day, we see why it was imperative to get Trump out of office. And I think that in the interim, Trump has learned a LOT about who he can trust, and who he can’t. Sadly, during his first foray into politics, he surrounded himself with others that were ‘recommended’ to him by the political machine. I don’t think he’ll make the same mistake again. The only difficulty I have with Trump is his continued insistence that the vaccine is legitimate.
Well, data shows that the jab is good at mitigating the worst COVID symptoms. So there are reasons to promote it.
But keep in mind that Trump has always allowed people to make up their own minds. It’s Biden and the Dems who forced it on people, threatened to fire or did fire people if they weren’t jabbed. I will NEVER forget that they were planning to fire all US employees who were not jabbed. Trump would never do that.
Two questions, please:
1. Why does Donald Trump get a pass for the events of the last year of his presidency?
2. Isn’t a CEO, head coach, or elected official always professionally responsible for the success or failure of his tenure?
Please be thoughtful and mature in your responses. I am a longtime conservative who voted for and followed President Trump avidly but is now torn by the dilemma of him running again.
.
1. The last year of his presidency has not happened yet.
2. A head coach who loses in a season that was fraught by referee interference, multiple interceptions, and having the goal posts moved, comes back the next season far more prepared for those contingencies.
Trump had no idea what he was doing when he found himself in D.C. yet he joked (great rallies!), was cocky, and got his a– handed to him. Sadly, good people suffered on J6 and continue to for the past-two plus years. COVID, Fauci, Russia, J6, the Vaccine, his ridiculous appointments . . . it is due to the American infatuation with celebrity that people are still promoting a showman to lead them out of the Godless hellhole they allowed their country and culture to fall into. Pelosi and McConnel and the U.S. military play with him as do many others. He’s the de facto U.S. opposition leader and a wimpy one at that. A nice guy, though. Heart of gold (bathroom faucets as well). Name me one success brought about by Trump as president that the Leftists couldn’t and didn’t reverse almost overnight. This is a war and, it is obvious, Donald Trump is NOT thirsty for blood.
You’re a longtime conservative? I’m the Queen of England!
Here’s some stuff that Trump did that hasn’t been reversed, and these are all just off the top of my head:
— he lowered income taxes for lower and middle classes
— he greatly reduced the SALT deduction
— he built many miles of border wall
— he got rid of the Obamacare penalty
— he strengthened our military
— he got rid of NAFTA and put the much more fair USMCA in its place
— he got the US to finally officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
OK that’s enough for now because you’re actually wasting my time but I decided to respond anyway.
And don’t forget we enjoyed several years of near-zero inflation and low gas prices while Trump was President. And blacks and hispanics had record low unemployment during the Trump presidency. You can’t just throw those things away because Biden and the Dems have screwed everything up.
It was a great speech, and Trump is funny at certain times, and refreshingly honest. He broke the mold; amazing man, it is what it is, and all the jealous little boys in congress need to just shut it and just accept it.
Funny, nobody mentioned Liz Cheney.
Oh, except Liz Cheney.
