Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Good morning Dan. Believe, indeed. All we need do is look around us to see and feel he is real.
God morning, Dan.
After I typed that greeting to you, I reread it and found I had mistyped… I’m leaving it.
A powerful instruction from Dr Surgeon for Monday.
Forgiven…🙏
Spurgeon…of course😉
Good morning Bet and Levi! Forgiven indeed 🙌🙌🙌.
Good morning, G💖 Onward!!
Good afternoon Gramps!
.
.
.
See? Feral is going to turn the lens on alllll of you!!!! Evil laugh😹 my turn now….
Morning, Cat💓
In case you were unaware, the word “homeowner” has the word “meow” in it.
Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again😁
Morning Betsy!! ❤️
I like it!!!!! 😘
Knew you would🤗
Good morning Cat! Don’t push that button, yet. Let me comb my hair and my beard. Looking a little shaggy after watering the garden. 😂❤️
Hey grandpa!!! Good second Sunday to you!!! ❤️ you and mrs look fantastic el naturaleell…. 😘
😂😻
I’m going to do that in a few. Thankfully I don’t have a beard to worry about.
😍
One more . . .
These songs always remind me of one of my earliest memories. Our neighbor was a former navy chief who had fought in WWII. One day he was visiting with my dad and described his experiences in the Battle Of Gaudalcanal. I was probably about 4 or 5. Sitting under the kitchen table listening to his stories.
I distinctly remember him talling my dad about how his PT boat squadron was all the “navy” we had to confront the Japanese who were sending destroyers with 5in guns down the “slot” every night. Those destroyers were about as fast as our worn-out wooden hulled PT boats. Nonetheless our PTs went out to fight every night. Not all came back. Young as I was, I never forgot his story.
It’s weird. I didn’t live in this time. I was born in 1978, so I didn’t experience the “world” as it was when you were a little guy. But I lived in military bases, starting in Yokosuka, Japan. And Armed Forces Radio network was pretty much our entertainment in my very early years. Fibber McGee and Molly, Gunsmoke, Jack Benny, Life of Riley, etc might have been voices from the past, but for me as a little guy, they were the voices I heard every night. Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney and the big band with Phil Harris…who apparently didn’t actually lead any band I found out later… were the voices that lulled me to sleep as a babe and I have since gravitated towards all of that old sound.
There’s something comforting and “easy” about hearing these old songs. I can’t really put my finger on it, but I know that other kids my age never got the same out of them in the 80s. It was “old people music” to them. Van Halen and the like was the sound they were into. I retrogressed even further eventually, after my “punk rock” phase as a teenager and am still fully entrenched in Bluegrass music, even learning to play the banjo. But These old songs still fill me with a sense of comfort I have a hard time describing. In particular, Stardust by Keely Smith or pretty much anything by Ella Fitzgerald or the king of blow himself Louis Armstong just takes me back to a time I never lived in.
To me that old music is the ultimate comfort. I refuse to believe any of you are really old enough for some of this (I know Keely was more current to some of you) to be a go-to, but I can’t help but just love it when you guys post it. I dunno, music just use to be simpler and more beautiful than it became. Maybe that is why I gravitated towards old Appalachian music and the banjo. I can’t think of anything contemporary that is more beautiful than modern bluegrass.
I listen to all old radio stuff to turn my mind off at night; they are my “white noise ”. Great old stuff both the music and the detective (etc) programs.
Technically the old detective programs turn my mind on, but man I still listen to them.
Wait…is this the Keon from the old days? If so…HI Keln. Great to see you again!!!!! 😘
Keln not Keon. Betsy where’s the welsh translator? Mumble….tossing off stuff of shelves…. 😂
lol……………
Good morning feisty❣
There is the Book of Kells but that won’t help .
Think it was Klein way back in another world
By gove…I think the girl’s got it!!!
Good Morning patience ❤️
That’s with a capital P….we’re going to need it!!!! 😝 😉
😍
~🎯
Thanks for your kind words. Growing up in the 50’s I was surrounded by this music. Loved rock-n-roll but this music never really went away. For good reason. When I was in HS I used to listen to Music ’til Dawn on KRLD (50k watts) which played lots of old standards. Wonderful radio back then.
My father in law served on one of the Navy ships in the Pacific. While I can’t be more specific, it was apparently the one which intercepted and broke the Japanese code which then allowed our forces to remove their most powerful general.
My FIL died before knowing my son, his grandson, also served. The Navy hymn always affects me deeply, thinking of those who never returned.
Hiya, Bet. Linda Ronstadt was friends with Rosemary. Listening to these late-in-life performances I can easily understand why. Hadn’t listened to her in awhile but then last night I came across these Concord recordings and was reminded of just how good they are.
Oh yeah!! It’s always a revelation to return to an artist’s performance after an absence. So many times when I’ve done that, it’s as if hearing for the first time, and the magic starts all over again😍
Thanks –again, Garrison.
~Thinking well of & for you and your Love.
Thank you, Patience. Kind words are always appreciated. 🙂
Good WWII pro-USA movie about PT boats in the Pacific war is “They Were Expendable”(1945), with John Wayne & Robert Montgomery. But the action against the Japanese Navy in The Slot was the focus of “PT 109”, the 1963 movie depicting JFK’s reported “heroic exploits” as a PT boat commander in that area.
A devotion for today
It’s a blance among the ever-shifting ocean of language. Everything today is awesome, wonderful, great, best, incredible…etc. I sat through a sermon once where a pastor seemed quite upset at the word “awesome” being used overly too much by the congregation. I couldn’t help but think at the time “It isn’t you my dear pastor, and it certainly isn’t God, just that language drifts over time”. I wonder what words a thousand years ago people might have used for what “Awesome” is supposed to mean, and what words become common and lost their power back then.
Words and language are arbitrary. They change by the century, sometimes even the decade. What was totally tubular and radical during my childhood are now either silly or non-intelligible. What doesn’t change, cannot change, is the awesomeness of God and what he does. We may have to come up with new words every generation or so to describe it, but we know it when we see it.
Some say there is an original language of God and his angels. I have no idea if that is true. But what I do know is that God gave us the special gift, among all creation, to understand and experience, and if there isn’t a word to use to describe Him and His will, the ability to create a new one if needed.
To the pastors who worry about the use of words I say: God created the Words. And those Words are in our minds and our hearts, not composed of arbitrary characters and not written down in a dictionary. As long as there is one person on this Earth that believes in our God, his Words will always be available to a willing heart.
I don’t know about a thousand years ago but we can reflect back on the changes just in our lifetime. From swell to groovy to far out to cool (which had the most staying power) and beyond. A little off track but it’s no different in the business world where word jargon is in constant motion. In some ways interesting and in some ways maddening and pretentious.
Morning Keln, enjoyed your input on the Abe thread. My personal preference is to reserve the use of “awesome” for God. But that’s just 65 yo me. 🙂
“If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me.”
~Psalm 139~
Good and glorious morning, Betsy. 🍺 (The tea pot is missing. Cat tossed it off the shelf. ~?)
Perhaps when a soul is born into its earthly life what is to be lived; thought, felt and done, by the human person is already known. However, learning to live in the bodily form is one continuous interruption; distraction from God’s plan for that soul, in order for the soul to discover, learn and choose…. know.
~It is all here to find.
I think you added cat mint to that tea you’re brewing patience 😂
Seriously, a great ponder 😘
Thanks ❤️
Glad you noticed
…. an extra cup awaits you 😊
Good morning Patience! Maybe this earthly life is the furnace that removes the dross from our eternal selves.
There’s a thought!
-I like that.
Good and glorious day to you, Grandpa.
Off the shelf??? Well, what else can you expect from a moggy! There are “seconds” shops online which may be able to help with a replacement. I am sorry about that because I did love that teapot.💖😉
How lovely is your thought, Patience. God is omniscient. This we know, and it is an intellectual exercise to consider our lives knowing it. He knows all before we experience… and His plan is Holy and set. I’ve always wondered if the miracles we see and receive are simply parts of His plan already in place.
So much to contemplate, so much only He knows. How thought provoking for this Monday…or anytime.🙏😘
Endless possibilities … anything is possible
-with and by God.
Geese…, Must a moved it when dusting. 🫖
When all else fails blame Russia or our Cat. 🤣
Anything….except, I believe, coincidence.
He is omnipresent….
That as well. The world is full of Him, GB. So true😊

NOPE…..
Morning Majic, before our now 19 yo grandson was born I had a dream that they named him Ramon. They weren’t amused but I thought it was very funny 😆.
Good morning Magic. That Ramones/Addams family play is priceless. Can’t say I’ve ever come across it before. Terrific. Have a great day. Cheers!
Anti-Vaxxer Novak Djokovich wins Wimbledon.
Earlier in the year, a visa was issued to Djokovich by the Australian govt., he arrived on the AU govt. issued visa but was not allowed to play. Then, not only was he detained in quarantine, visa canceled, but was then “deported” after his appeals to play in the Australian Open did not succeed.
Because he was deported, he is barred from Australia for 3 years. He has natural immunity from having already had COVID and recovered.
Filed for an exemption for the US Open in New York, but he said he doesn’t expect it to happen, all foreign arrivals must be fully vaxxed, UNLESS you cross the Southern Border where you are warmly received and rewarded with lush accomodations in NC and other places, most of which are unknown.
@#$%, at this point, you don’t even need id or papers, coyotes pass the trafficked humans off to the govt. and they then complete the human trafficking cycle.
Just by existing in perfect health, he makes those who ban and shun him look like the fools they are.
🤔 😎 ❤️
Bet and Cat, good morning again! Just letting you know that for the next few days I’ll be very busy with VBS, taking mom to the podiatrist today, and such. So I’ll be checking in here on and off but not posting much.
Pray for Frank, he’s got some health challenges and going to the VA this morning to get checked. 🙏🏻❤️
Hi again grandpa 🙋♀️
Thanks for the update!
Please pass along to Frank, he’s in my prayers. As a matter of fact.., you all are! 💕
💕❤️
Thanks, G.
Frank has been much on my mind lately. Been missing him and hoping he is all right, but very strongly thinking of him. I mentioned him below, hoping you’d see it.
It goes without saying he will have my continued prayers, more strongly because he is in the VA system as my son is. One has to have the patience of Job for it. But he has taken advantage of being referred to doctors not associated with the VA, which has been a huge blessing. Thank you so much for letting us know.
And without giving anything away that he would not want on this site, please give any broad updates you can or feel comfortable doing or have permission to do.🙏
I miss him.🙏
Hope all will be well with your mother and her knee…and of course with you. Will stay on the lookout for your posts whenever😘
Oh well, guess it doesn’t like this one:

So much polish and class. Shake it up. Bring it down to my level. Get goofy as only Ray Stevens can. I like to listen to this while wearing a loin cloth and eating a banana.
What an image you paint!!! 😂 your sweetheart sure has her hands full!!! 😝
Good Morning Levi!
I often laugh and remind her how she said one of the things she was attracted to is my sense of humor, while she stares at me in the midst of one of my antics, face carved in stone.
Live, Love LAUGH and I mean it. Cheers Cat!
Good morning, Levi. What a barren world it would be without laughter…and lots of it.
I’m struggling to remember the movie wherein the main characters were hurtling to the ground in a deathly fall, and one said , “Laugh, start laughing!”
Which they all did. And suddenly their sharp fall was slowed down to nothing so that they could gently land on the ground.
Funny the things some comments make me think of…
Good morning Betsy. Beautiful. Comical but beautiful. Live to laugh. The rest of life is too serious so take the off ramp. Laugh!
Have a blessed day, you and all of yours. Cheers!
🤗
I can’t say as tho I remember this one, the one I remember the most is probably banned now as waaaayyyysissst.
Jim Stafford was another nut, saw him live once at a theme park in FL?? or possibly Opryland.
Wel, I’m in the mood for your pick today 😘
Thanks for the persistence magic and may today be all you wish for 💋 ❤️
Please pray for my brother’s family, he lost his MIL tonight. His wife was close to her mom. The mom was on Hospice care so it wasn’t sudden, but still hurts and is a big loss. The woman survived the Armenian Genocide, her tales of the Turks and Muslims were bone chilling. May she Rest In Peace and prayers for her husband and family.
Prayers up for comfort for husband and family.
Prayers delivered. May all find peace in her passing.
Leave, I will certainly add my prayers for your brother in law and his family and her husband in their grief. I understand the depth of it as my mother in law was precious to me and to this day I miss her. She was an absolute ballast for her family.
Additionally, my first daughter’s godfather’s parents also escaped the Armenian genocide, a terrible terrible event most today have no knowledge of. That she shared her stories with those she loved means the knowledge of what happened will not be forgotten, as it should not.
I am so dreadfully sorry for their palpable loss. May her soul reside with God for eternity.🙏
May light perpetual shine upon her.
May they all as a family (you included)
ride safely and harmoniously
through the storms and gentle waves of emotions
…. and all that comes at this time of loss.
✝God, Bless this family.
Prayers that she’s experiencing unspeakable joy looking at the face of Jesus, and may God give comfort and peace to the family.
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

The Spiritually Vigorous Saint
…that I may know Him… —Philippians 3:10
A saint is not to take the initiative toward self-realization, but toward knowing Jesus Christ. A spiritually vigorous saint never believes that his circumstances simply happen at random, nor does he ever think of his life as being divided into the secular and the sacred. He sees every situation in which he finds himself as the means of obtaining a greater knowledge of Jesus Christ, and he has an attitude of unrestrained abandon and total surrender about him. The Holy Spirit is determined that we will have the realization of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives, and He will bring us back to the same point over and over again until we do. Self-realization only leads to the glorification of good works, whereas a saint of God glorifies Jesus Christ through his good works. Whatever we may be doing— even eating, drinking, or washing disciples’ feet— we have to take the initiative of realizing and recognizing Jesus Christ in it. Every phase of our life has its counterpart in the life of Jesus. Our Lord realized His relationship to the Father even in the most menial task. “Jesus, knowing…that He had come from God and was going to God,…took a towel…and began to wash the disciples’ feet…” (John 13:3-5).
The aim of a spiritually vigorous saint is “that I may know Him…” Do I know Him where I am today? If not, I am failing Him. I am not here for self-realization, but to know Jesus Christ. In Christian work our initiative and motivation are too often simply the result of realizing that there is work to be done and that we must do it. Yet that is never the attitude of a spiritually vigorous saint. His aim is to achieve the realization of Jesus Christ in every set of circumstances.
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
To those who have had no agony Jesus says, “I have nothing for you; stand on your own feet, square your own shoulders. I have come for the man who knows he has a bigger handful than he can cope with, who knows there are forces he cannot touch; I will do everything for him if he will let Me. Only let a man grant he needs it, and I will do it for him.”
Thank you for these daily posts Feral. Hope all is well with JustStevie.
CTH is my only experience with online “relationships” and I still find it challenging to lose folks, with no explanations, no goodbyes. I hold many of them in my heart.
Good Morning old school. I, too, always say a prayer for just stevie when I post where she? Left off. Last I saw, she was taking the high road, I -the low road- perhaps we’ll meet again. Just in case, hi just stevie 🙋♀️
Have a most blessed day old school ❤️
Blessings to you as well!
Again, as lovely as this devotional is (and it really is), I find that it is afterword that packs the spiritual punch for me.
Clive Staples Lewis would definitely agree.
So many, oldschool, who fade into the background and we are left without their really uplifting presence.
It’s something I was thinking of last night specifically, but seeing your post this morning gives me a chance to directly speak to all who used to have a home in these branches, but who for whatever reason are absent from our sight…Just Stevie who did return a couple of weeks ago for a brief moment…
Whistling Past, Mungrel, Solomon, Sarah Lee (who was so prolific with her wonderful posts and then just disappeared one day), Frank…
…and many more I never knew but whose posts I have taken screenshots of over the years before i ever thought of commenting myself and kept because they moved me so much.
I pray for them all, and miss them all…as you do. In my heart they all reside as they do in yours, oldschool. Every single day.🙏💖
Good Monday morning to all present, missing, posting, and lurking.
Good morning Patience. A taste of honey in my family usually meant a glass of Krupnik on the rocks. Cheers. No really, CHEERS!

We(I) miss them!!! ❤️
Found my sharing to all the lurkers 💋

Good call, Cat.
💟
So well said Betsy. And so many more. We must remember to keep them in our prayers. Today on the presidential thread, WSB reappeared, sadly in grief. I loved her posts and missed her. We do not know what our fellow treepers face or if they’ve gone to Pappa, but they’ve given much and remain in our hearts.
Indeed…
Oh no….🙏
And you are so right. We never ever know, unless we are told, what is happening in the lives of our fellow branch dwellers.
Sometimes we can glean a bit here and there, but for the most part we do not, especially in these upending times…
And like you this is my only “online relationship”. It is such a part of me now as are those who kindly respond to any post I make.
Everyone special in his or own way. And missed if absent. I’m so glad you posted what you did.💖
😘
Oh bless, oldschool 🤗

PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
“Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.”

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!!
Good morning everyone. It’s going to be another wonderful day. You know how I know?
A quick story. I am the early riser in our home. As such, I get up, make my preferred beverage, cappuccino, then set everything up for my wife so she only needs to press a button.
Backstory within a story. When we were first married and in our first home, she would get up first. One bathroom made it a necessity to work in shifts. When she was far enough along in her morning routine, she would come and wake me up with a cup of coffee and newspaper on my nightstand. I never asked for it, she just did it. So my getting her cup ready each morning is the LEAST I can do.
Anyway, after cancer treatment had ended, she would come down each morning for her coffee and always ask me how I was doing. To which I responded, each and every time she asked, wonderful. This went on for a good year until one morning she came down and instead asked me “Are you wonderful this morning?”
Long story short, I adopted the word wholeheartedly way back when and just can’t seem to let it go. And I don’t want to because it fits so well. Life is wonderful.
Blessings to you and yours, one and all. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Cheers!
How lovely Levi 🥰
Good Morning ☀️
Good morning FC. Blessings to you and yours. Have yourself a wonderful day you little rascal. Cheers!
Your souls are woven together as one, Levi. And yes, that IS wonderful💖
That could be catchy;
~hopefully!
~Good and glorious morning, Levi.
It’s a Wonderful Life
Love it, Patience! Mathis and Lawrence, what a great mash! Have yourself a wonderful afternoon and evening!
Blessings Levi!
Thank you, Gramps. And may God bless you and yours, one and all. Hope you and the Mrs are having a wonderful day. Cheers!
Good Morning everybody!! My second Sunday lesson for the day:
There is no such thing as a grouchy old person. The truth is once you get old, you stop being polite and start being honest..
Oh yeah!!!! Truth!!!! 😎
you cheated – you peeked into our room
The corollary to which is this…
“I’m at the age where “I should probably keep that to myself” has changed to “let’s just say it and see what happens.”
It comes to us all😉
You peeked in my old age instruction book? 😝
Especially old people. They/we say what we say and that’s just the way it is. Sounds like Betsy is part of the scene.
15-17 years ago we were in Ft Lauderdale for their Winterfest boat parade. Tickets were at a hotel along the river. They put up bleachers for us to sit in. Problem is, they oversold so not all the butts got a spot. We got there early enough to avoid the problem.
However, once full, people continued to arrive.
Now remember, this is Florida. Old people are everywhere. You’ve never seen so many handicap parking spots as at a Walmart in Florida but it doesn’t go any good to have a handicap card or plate because there are always more handicap vehicles parked than there are spots.
Well, the bleachers were no different, loaded with old folks. One couple after the next would arrive, walk up and down, back and forth looking for spots and there simply were none available.
Inevitably, each time this sight repeated itself, a group of old folks would start yelling at the walkers “get out of the way” or “sit down or go away.” And the couples would disappear from our bleachers.
Along came a couple, maybe in their late twenties/early 30s. The gent was a big fella with a shaved head. After eyeballing the seating, they took a stance at the front of the bleacher railing. That’s when someone started shouting “Hey you. Cue Ball. Down inn the front”
I turned to see who it was and it was a scrawny old guy without hair himself. Had to laugh because the gent he was calling Cue Ball would have made talcum powder out of him. But that’s what old people do, they just say what’s on their mind.
Sometimes you just gotta laugh. So tell me, is that “Hey you, Cue Ball, down in front” in your book?
While that is an amusing story, no. Not my book. No name calling or ridiculing, only how to be obnoxious instructions. There’s enough material without being mean. 😉 besides, it’s funner being obnoxious 😎
Hahahahahahaha!!!!!
Some call it rude
~I call it blunt 😋
Seek forgiveness rather than permission 😁
🎯 😎
It is possible to be blunt without being rude. That’s my Southern upbringing coming into play😉
Absolutely!
If nothing else, to prevent an accident of being misunderstood.
😂
Oh I’ve been that all right, even though I really do try to chose my words and phrasing carefully, examining it from all sides, thinking, well, that’s all right, only to find either I was misread, misheard, whatever. I used to angst over it. No more.
And here comes that useful Welsh phrase…take me as you find me. And that will just have to do.😉
Blunt. And you don’t mean the Snoop Dawg version of blunt either! 🙂
Correct.
No point in gettin
fired- up.
🙂 you delivered again. Very punny!
Tell it like it is !!!
Where do I send your finders fee? Im adopting this as my new theme song 🐱 ❤️
🙃😄😆😅😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😊…., huh, 😂 Side hurts
– finder’s fee
Good song
-excellent message
You all are really smart so I’m asking you for advice ok?
Yesterday was a rough day for me..stuff breaking down to the point that I may need a man to help. Sooo after reading y’all guys craftsmanship work, it got me thinking 🤔 since I only deal with, get the best….perhaps I should start paperwork on a work visa for mungrel. 🤔 whatcha think?
wat? ask him to choose between his work and your work?
🤔 you’re right ms Idaho. But doesn’t everyone want, deserve a vacation, even mungrels?
ah – if only he could / would come. wouldn’t that be the cat’s meow?
🥂 …. Hear the happy barking 🐶
Sounds like a GREAT idea. I am sure he needs to get away for awhile on a working vacation.
Don’t know if a tourist visa is required to travel to the US from Australia. If not, maybe he can come then a few days before thee stay expires go for a tequila or two to Meehico then come right back.
It would be real difficult to get a work visa since he is white and English speaking. Unless Mungrel tells them that he identifies himself as a white Hispanic. 🙂
Pray without ceasing.
Say it Loud
Say it PROUD
Sure, I wave the American Flag. Do you know a better flag to wave? Sure, I love my country with all her faults. I’m not ashamed of that. Never have been, never will be.-
John Wayne
Good Morning ms Idaho!!!!!
❤️
Good Monday Moring to you.
Hint: don’t worry about work. It won’t go away.
Will be there waiting for you whenever you get to it
That’s the voice of experience
Ms Idaho, I agree.. another wise one said the dust bunnies will wait, too 😝
you know, if your vision starts to go, or you take your glasses off, you don’t see dust bunnies …
if you go shopping or out for a nice drive or a romp in your forest you won’t see ‘work waiting’
make a check list
put pray / play / romp at the top –
“Posted a photo of my clean house, and it was flagged and removed as ‘Fake News’.”
is that akin to the saying ‘A clean desk is the sign of a cluttered mind’ ???
Very very possibly🤗
But after I posted that, I did really truly vacuum all the dust bunnies up…
Better check Betsy, I think I heard me Idaho’s voice coming from the vacuum….a tiny tiny.. voice saying…..please let me out? is coming from the bag. 😂
Already emptied out a couple of times…I’ll check😁
🙂
Good afternoon ms idaho, if a particular work really needed to be done someone would’ve done it.
Now off to take Mom to the podiatrist.
Good morning ms Idaho💖
I found this a couple of days ago and thought of you…
“IM LIVID
I can’t remember how to write 1, 1000, 51, 6, and 500 in Roman numerals.”
Thought you’d appreciate.😉
That’s OK – I never did learn Roman numerals
Had enough trouble with reg’lar numbers
sigh
😂
Mornin’ Treepers
Glory to God for all things
Have a blessed day
Good morning Lonestar. Amen and always. Have a blessed day and a blessed week. Make it last. Cheers!
Good Morning Lonestar ❤️
Good morning, Lonestar💖 Stay cool if you can.
Story in Breitbart read to me this morning says Texans should start conserving electricity as wind power is failing.
I have no shocked face to show.
Mornin’ comrade infidels.
Good morning wee weed! ❤️
New crop seed planter?
Morning, Wee Weed!
Nobody draws like Ramirez. His points are always spot on.
One of best the experiences I’ve had was meeting and getting to know Mike. His brother was my boss for 10 years. Anytime Mike was in town he would come into the office to visit all of us. Loved talking politics with him. For me his cartoons are second to none.
Oh my goodness!!!!! I’m not supposed to be but I am slightly envious! I admire his artistry and insightful mind so much. To me he is the master of political cartooning, Grandmadeb.
I would include him in my fantasy dinner party, the guests of which are the ones I imagine I would invite if I were actually having one.
I’ll save him a “seat”!😍
My only claim to fame was once at Neiman Marcus (or Neiman Markups as we called it) in Dallas at British Fortnight, when I stood about 6 feet away from Princess Margaret and then later 6 feet away from Yul Brenner. He was so much shorter than I had imagined, but oh my!! He had such a confident presence about him.
I was starry eyed for the rest of the day.😁
Oh I bet you were. My claim to fame was assisting in a radiological procedure on a former President when I was an 18 year old Army Private. And I got to meet Neal McCoy at a show he was doing in Laughlin, NV.
His brother always treated staff as family so we were included in holiday gatherings and even one sister’s wedding. Visited with Mike quite frequently back in those days and have continued to follow his career.
Oh my word! I can only imagine! How thrilling…for you, not the President.
How long, I wonder, has he been doing these splendid political cartoons? I did once look up his work and had an extensive and enjoyable meandering through the output which was listed. Miraculous really. Long may he continue🙏
Good Afternoon WeeWeed!
This is long, so if you go to the link you might end up skimming.

Dianne Marshall has done it again (IMHO). She starts out discussing the Georgia Guidestones. Apparently most people think they are from Satan. She asks – What IF?
Along the way she asks ‘ what would take place if we put the same energy into claiming our ultimate victory?’ I say AMEN!
Dianne says “Your mind doesn’t know the difference between if what you saw was real or a tv show. It simply stores the memory in your brain like a computer. This is why it is important what you look at, read, and it will affect how you react emotionally.”
This is a good representation of what I learned years ago – and have posted … Your brain simply ‘accepts’ what you give it. ‘You kids will be the death of me’ is a common nasty. It gives a bad program to the sayer and the kids who hear it.
Be careful – be VERY careful – what you say, what you think, what you pray, what you ‘hear’ on TV and radio. The more you focus on dire news , the more you focus on what scares you, the more injury you are presenting to yourself.
One reason I love President Trump. He calls out the bad things – but then he tells us they can be fixed. And in many cases he tells us HOW they can be fixed.
Bottom line – I suspect most readers here will really like this Dianne Marshall post. PS – you can tell me if I am wrong.
Brainwashing is real
-It can be programmed
-It can be cleared
Prayer
Positive speaking
Constructive living
Counting to 10 & breathing
Seeing joy
Paying attention; while over-looking, ignoring or forgiving
Being conscious; to the complexities and wonderment of life itself… It ‘s everywhere; it’s all around… the colors, the smells, the feelings, the sounds
Being
(thinking, feeling & acting)
bad is actually hard and below base,
and a very bad habit
– for so many reasons.
Life IS what we make of it
👏 👏 👏 🎯 🤩
as you say – it is an effort on your part to stay positive
God is running the show
we are winning
The little trick we were taught – if you catch yourself saying or thinking negative thoughts –
Cancel – Cancel (like the DEL key on your keyboard)
The trick, of course, is to catch the bad programming
Another glorious and sunny day in Idaho Falls. Crystal clear skies and we can see Grand Teton Peak poking out of the northeast horizon from our front porch. Simply magnificent. Windows open, and it’s just wonderful to see the sheer curtains billowing softly as the cool breeze from the ever-present southwest wind dances softly in every room of our home. Its already a wonderful day. Going mow the lawn, have a glass of lemonade, and take a nice nap. We thank Thee.
ditto points south.
The old saying – If God made a nicer day He kept it for Himself’
Hard to describe to anyone who has not been here
The sky is an incredible shade of blue
The mountains glow white in the sunlight
And that’s just the start of ‘enjoy the day’
Couldn’t agree more ms Idaho. I’ve heard the term God’s Country many times over my 64 years, but this place is truly my bride and I’s version of God’s Country.
Thanks Dan.
Simple trust in Gods written and preached word, including His gospel promise.
No private, personal revelation needed. It doesn’t have to be more elaborate than that.
Incidentally, the church I go to teaches that we are not saved BY faith. Christ’s work on the cross is what saves us. Our faith (trust) receives that salvation.
Sort of like our hands being the things that receive a gift. if the hands don’t accept the gift, it doesn’t do any good. Still, we don’t want to confuse the hands with the gift. Or worry about whether the hands are good enough to receive it. Or fret about continually improving the hands.
lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and his family as they seek to lead America back to You. Also, we pray for Angels to protect and support our Sundance as he works for justice and peace.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall. Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
And prayers up for all political prisoners. Prayers up for Pastor Pawlowski, for Julian Assange, and for all the protesters of January 6 who were or are entrapped in DC.
Thank you Father, for Your love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Amen.
Thank you again, Andeclain. I will try to remember to post the prayer tomorrow. It will be 7:00 my time, that is the only problem. Hopefully I can remember to set my timer on the stove for now. I haven’t found my alarm clock yet.
Thanks Mom. I read somewhere that, in psychological terms, moving house is as stressful as a death in the family or divorce. You are in my prayers.
Thank you, Andeclain. (LOL, still fighting with autocorrect for you name.). Yes, it has been very stressful. It would have helped if I were about 20 years younger.
Amen
Amen.
Amen
Amen.
Amen…
Amen🙏
Amen 🙏
Amen
Amen.
