He, at least, is certain the blurry blob he sees up ahead is a recession, and for a Fed guy he’s speaking rather out of turn:

I have a fantasy. Not just the IC but the rest of the bureaucrats also. You order them to come in, assembly-like, to a large room. They check their cell phones and devices. You call each up one by one. You ask some questions (the rest cannot hear) about their job description, what they are doing, what they are working on, what they did today, or last week, what elected officials or media they have talked with in the past year, etc. You ask for immediate follow-up document retrieval where applicable. Any hestitation, any excuse, any failure, any prevarication, (and anyone who doesn’t show up) and they get fired immediately for insubordination…

If you did a correlation analysis on the common behavioral traits of mass shooters, you can bet there would be a strong set of indicators that would be very useful to isolate and stop these people.

Ask any school teacher, law enforcement, social workers, and many doctors. Try deal with one of the afflicted and one risks losing their jobs and law suits.
These same people “pointing out the problem” are also the very same who “protect their rights” by removing all authority to first subdue them, deny them access, not main stream them without any limits and treat them. They enable the clueless parents of the afflicted too stop treatment, refuse diagnostics and sue those who actually try to intervene.
The frontline people who deal with the mentally afflicted are also caught in a Catch 22 that prohibits dealing with them or even passing on information and warnings when the afflicted are “transferred or move”.
It currently against the law in most states to actually report and transfer records, due to medical privacy.
The first step to solving a problem is actually recognizing there is a problem and then actually allow solutions.
We as parents need to know our kids and be close enough to them to know when our parenting is not enough and when we need to seek help outside of the home either through pastoral care or through trusted counselors who can propose faith-based “tips and tricks” to help our kids learn new ways of coping and growing through life challenges.
I know too many parents who “trust science” and just fill a scrip instead of speaking with and getting to know their kids and spending time with them. I like my son. We spend a lot of time together. When he hit a hard patch I couldn’t help him with, we got a Christian counselor to help. No drugs, just faith-based tools that put the Word at my son’s fingertips to help him beat depression and despair. He’s fine now and well-adjusted and past his teenaged angst.
Kids don’t ask to be born. Parents, please, take your responsibilities very seriously once your children enter this world. Your childrens’ lives are in your hands.
I did not add, but it took over two years of bi-weekly visits. I stuck with it and so did the son and the counselor. It’s not easy. It takes commitment. It’s not just “pop a pill.” It takes wanting to change on the part of the patient and facilitating change on the part of the family and praying without ceasing. We did it with God’s help.

We’d know right away if it fit the narrative. There’d be pictures of it like in Uvalde since he left the weapons at the scene. My supposition would be semi-automatic with standard capacity magazine based on video and witness reports of the shot activity. We shoot on our own properties and I can recognize neighbor’s equipment; hunting rifles, handguns, machine guns, semi-auto rifles. They all sound different.
My bet is this is going to disappear.
