Western leaders, led by feeble Joe Biden, could potentially send oil even higher as they continue to sanction Russia and place the burden on the American public.
Analysts at JP Morgan Chase are warning that the price could triple to a staggering $380 or more if Russia decides to cut its output.
They warn that in light of the continued sanctions and proposals to penalize Russia, it could respond by limiting production.
“It is likely that the government could retaliate by cutting output as a way to inflict pain on the West,” analysts wrote. “The tightness of the global oil market is on Russia’s side.”
Gas in America is now topping $5 per gallon in many areas. If oil prices jumped as predicted, it would devastate the nation’s economy.
(Bloomberg) – Global oil prices could reach a “stratospheric” $380 a barrel if US and European penalties prompt Russia to inflict retaliatory crude-output cuts, JPMorgan Chase & Co. analysts warned.
The West is trying to punish Moscow for its war in Ukraine and plans to limit the price Russia can fetch for a barrel of oil.
But Russia supplies much of Europe with oil for heating and gasoline and could quickly reverse that impact by cutting production.
Cutting production by 3 million barrels a day would push global oil prices to about $190 per barrel. Dropping production by 5-million-per-day ]would send the price of a single barrel to $380, according to analyst Natasha Kaneva.
Western countries want to limit how profitable production is to Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite their dependence on the Russian resource.
The G-7 nations, including the United States, are trying to construct a complex plan to cap the price Russia can fetch from oil sales to non-G-7 countries as part of a menu of sanctions aimed at Russia.
“The goal here is to starve Russia — starve Putin of his main source of cash and force down the price of Russian oil to help blunt the impact of Putin’s war at the pump,” a senior Biden administration official told reporters. “The dual objectives of G7 leaders have been to take direct aim at Putin’s revenues, particularly through energy, but also to minimize the spillovers and the impact on the G7 economies and the rest of the world.”
But such a cap would leave Putin with more leverage than he currently has, according to JP Morgan’s bankers. Again the sanctions against Russia have a greater chance of directly impacting Americans.
“The most obvious and likely risk with a price cap is that Russia might choose not to participate and instead retaliate by reducing exports,” the analysts wrote.

Biden acknowledged earlier this week that oil prices are continuing to soar. He did not offer and sign or signal that relief is in sight.

I never heard of such a truck having A.C. in the pay load part. Only in the cab. To my knowledge, there are plain trucks and refrigerated trucks. Are there trucks with A.C. for the play load? And frankly I don’t see human smugglers providing them if there are.

Refrigerated trailers (reefers) have a refrigeration unit (A/C) built into the trailer (at the front), directly behind the tractor.
This keeps the lettuce crisp and/or the ice cream frozen.
These A/C units run on a limited amount (50 + gallons) of diesel (stored under the trailer).
The “reefer” trailer is specially designed to keep a desired temperature for the product inside; A refrigerator, if you will.
This design also keeps the ambient temperature/conditions outside the trailer… out.
Extra insulation in the walls and doors provide a buffer to those ambient conditions.
Once the Doors are closed and secured from the outside, the only way unfiltered, outside air, is is able to get into the trailer is via four (4) small holes (approximately 1 1/2) at each corner the floor, (provided for drainage, not circulation)
If the A/C units fails, or runs out of diesel, and the trailer is exposed to high temperatures and direct sunlight, it becomes an OVEN!!
Also, if the A/C units fails and the trailer is secured from the outside, the only source of fresh air is from these small holes.

She states in her article that the committee hearings seek to achieve this (their goals) by limiting their focus to select and disproven claims of election fraud such as claims “that enemies of the former president hacked Dominion voting machines, flooded battleground states with counterfeit ballots, and engaged in other Machiavellian machinations to steal the 2020 election”. And she highlighted in her article Bill Bart’s testimony that there was no proof of election fraud it was BS.
The general theme of her article is, I think, the committee hearings is just a Show Trial presenting a one sided argument. I think she did an ok job with that message, but she also is trying to debunk the argument that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump and the charges of a fraudulent election is indeed BS.
So this makes me wonder about her true conservative views to why she integrated that message into her article. I mean there is a ton of evidence out there that there was all kinds of fraud and corruption in the2020 election. There has been and still is resistance, slow walking, and outright denial of investigations into much of the evidence. How can she, Bill Barr and the other Establishment characters claim it is BS.
My opinion and I’m sticking to it until the 2020 election is thoroughly and honestly evaluated in terms of fraud and corruption.

Being from Georgia, I saw lots of evidence of corruption and coverup. VoteGA is an organization that has monitored GA elections for years and they have been trying to get investigations into evidence and events from the 2020 election.
