The definitions and laws always seem to be changing. Both by new laws and by court decrees.
And I never see any candidate challenged on the matter, at least not until Obama was forced to reveal his birth certificate. Not McCain, not Cruz, not Harris. So why should we expect a serious challenge of Haley?
I never really understood challenging McCain’s standing. He came from a long line of American heroes. Both his father and grandfather were Admirals in our Navy. His mother was also American. To disqualify someone because they were born while their parent was serving this country abroad is flat out despicable.
But Obama and Cruz pose the question of is it okay to have only one American parent?
Cruz extends that with proof he was born in Canada, not America.
Harris and Haley pose the question is an anchor baby qualified?
Haley extends that with being quickly taken to Canada.
At what point is it not okay, and who will enforce it?
Imagine some tourists giving birth here on vacation and raising their kid at home but sending him here for a better life when he grows up. Is he qualified?
There are errors of fact here.
Harris’ parents were not immigrants, they were both on temporary student visas. Harris did not remain in the United States, her primary schooling was in Canada.
Ironically, the controlling legal authority, for WHO is allowed on the ballot is,….each States Secretary of State.
The way the process has evolved to work, is the job of vetting a Candidate for POTUS/VPOTUS to insure they meet the Constitutional requirements, is outsourced to the PARTIES.
The RNC, DNC, Libertarian and Green parties send a letter to each of the 50 SoS’s, assuring them the candidate is legally qualified.
The SoS’s basically “take their word it”, as no proof, or documentation is requested or supplied.
After all, the Party leadership are all honorable people with a long track record justifying taking them at their word, and they would haveno vested intetest in putting forward,…yeah can’t finish that, but you get the idea.

My husband and I have a lot to be thankful for today. We just got over a bad case of covid, took Dr. Zelenko’s Z Stack and it helped a lot. No, we didn’t take the shots nor do we intend to. My brother, a Viet Nam Vet, has been diagnosed with Lou Gerigg’s Disease (ALS) due to exposure to Agent Orange. There is no cure; however, he is still alive and I am able to talk to him through a special speaking device implanted in his trach. He is in California; due to health conditions I can’t travel so I always paid for him to come back here. Thankfully I got him back here last September and we had a wonderful visit.
We have enough food to eat, got our fuel oil tanks filled up and have gas in the cars. Everyone enjoy the day that GOD has given and yes, be thankful that we live in the United States of America. I haven’t given up on this country; we continue to pray that GOD will have mercy on us and restore this country to its founding principles.

You do realize the many bank atms in the US give 1$ bills.
Never saw one, and I’ve traveled and moved around a fair amount.
I remember seeing ATMs that gave $10. Some stores had cash back with $5, but not ever $1, unless the person pays in cash, which gives change and whatever bill denominations are required.
Not doubting what you say, not at all, just curious as to where you saw this.

That nonsense about the fear of creating black holes to destroy us was actually created by scientists.
Do you know that some feared the first atomic bomb would create a chain reaction that would destroy the world? Again, dreamed up by scientists.
This will be their third run with that collider, this after a 3 year shutdown, and they plan it to run for 4 years straight.

Saw an interview where someone was trying to explain away using words that sounded like opening a portal to another universe. Yeah, distorting to get publicity.

I forget the name of the author, but this scifi story had some guy celebrating with a buddy that they had invented time travel, then realizing the horror that there had never been any time travelers. While they were doing so, the sun went Nova. So they met their end with a toast.
