Tonight, the primary election results from Colorado, New York, Oklahoma, Illinois and Utah will be reported. In addition, there are primary runoff races in Mississippi and South Carolina. The J6 hearings have been timed to interfere in these primary elections.
Polling time close in South Carolina at 7pm ET; Illinois, Mississippi and Oklahoma at 8pm ET; Colorado, Nebraska and New York at 9pm ET and Utah polls close at 10pm ET.
Heavy focus will be on the Illinois and New York state governor primary. Four Republicans are vying to be New York’s Republican governor. Representative Lee Zeldin is the presumptive favorite, but he is competing with Harry Wilson, a moderate corporate turnaround specialist; Rob Astorino, the party’s 2014 nominee for governor; and Andrew Giuliani, the son of the former New York City mayor.
The Republican primary for Illinois governor has become a contest between Trump endorsed State Senator Darren Bailey; Mayor Richard C. Irvin of Aurora; Jesse Sullivan, a cryptocurrency entrepreneur. With the Trump endorsement Mr. Bailey has built a big polling lead in the final weeks of the campaign.

Do we have a MAGA Trump endorsed line up list?
Thanks in advance.
Many of the NY GOP candidates (especially Giuliani) claimed to have the support of President Trump but AFAIK it never came directly or publicly from the President himself. I voted for Zeldin despite the endorsement from Pence. To me statewide electability is more important this year than MAGA purity.
We voted for Zeldin also. “Statewide electability” as you say was a factor for us, too. Praying Hochul is defeated in November by whomever wins this primary.
You are just repeating the failures that led us to our current situation…sorry I do not agree with you, you should have voted for Giuliani..how do you know he could not be elected. I am disappointed.
As our Leader so painfully describes, THIS is Battered Conservative Syndrome.
Actually this is battered Republican syndrome…
These are social political democracy advocates confusing lofty arguments of morality for constitutional principles.
Most Conservatives will not vote any longer.
We’re simply waiting for it to finally fail so we can just fix the problem.
Only Astorino and Zeldin could deign themselves to reach out to us in upstate. Not a peep from the other two. I will vote in November for whomever is on the ballot against Hochul.
I voted for Andrew G – Zeldin is Mike pence 2.0 – sorry her just is!!!
i voted for Andrew too.
I think he is the only one who can beat Hochul.
We will see…just hope we get rid of her.
My god, please take a civics class – boomers are ruining our country. They like RINO country so much – move to california please, or maybe Greece. Maddening!
You don’t know all boomers. Please don’t paint with such a sloppy broad brush. I’m 77 and never, not once, ever missed voting. I know that doesn’t prove any civics cred but they still taught civics when I was educated. Not sure about you.
Zeldin won’t win.
Why and who do you think will win.
Born in NY but don’t have a feel for the current climate.
Andrew G.
Yeah, Zeldin is there to lose in November. Won’t inspire turnout as Astorino or Giuliani conceivably could. The GOP always does this. Zeldin will be rewarded for his efforts with some NGO position after he gets shellacked by Hochul.
He’s way ahead right now.
Governor (GOP primary)CANDIDATEVOTESPCT.
Lee Zeldin
84,57741.3%
Andrew Giuliani
50,74424.8%
Rob Astorino
39,19819.1%
Harry Wilson
30,37014.8%
Notice that the presumptive “RINO” candidate (Zeldin) is less than 50%, but the conservative vote is split 3 ways…
Rather than whine about people who vote for the RINO, ask why there are 3 conservatives splitting the vote.
Zeldin is Mitch’s splinter fella.
Too bad so many continue to fail to see the obvious.
Zeldin is weak; he would just negotiate a liddle bit better than Cuomo or Hochul….
Interesting . So electability over America First MAGA?
Yeah, that’s what gave us George W Bush and all the other NeoCon RINOs….
Totally agree Viking. Very disappointing that after all we’ve been through and all President Trump has done, and continues to do, to lift the veil and pave the way for us to understand how corrupt BOTH sides are over the last several years, the sheeple continue to do the exact same thing that got us where we are in the first place. Some never seem to learn. Fool me once (how many more times?)…at this point we deserve what’s coming. ☹️
Some say they don’t have the pulse of what’s going on in their own back yard? Sheesh! What will it take to get you to pay attention; maybe $15 gas; food lines? I can’t even…Zeldin is a RINO!! Play stupid games, win stupid…
Unfortunately, most of the voters have little to no idea about what we here are well versed in. They vote for a name they recognize or the person who spoke to them once in their towns or who the party leaders are recommending. That is the problem. Most feel any Republican is MAGA. They don’t really know.
Sorry, my choice was a brand new MAGA party immediately formed after Nov.3 steal. We would have had momentum, plenty of mad patriots over what the republicans failed to do ready and willing to abandon the old party and it would have attracted money away from the established republicans.
Would it have been easy? No, but it would have ripped the bandage off the scam that the Republican Party has become. The GOPe still has a strong grip on that party and they won’t let go easily. So we fight them and the Dems and the fact so many people still haven’t seen the light as to what the republicans are all about.
Keep up the fight, though. Never give up. The enemies have been revealed and must be defeated.
WHAT makes you think people are actually voting for this? Here in Colorado it is very obvious that the establishment had a narrative, they set the machines accordingly, and now they are saying, “See? We told you you’re the only crazy lunatic out there who thinks people should know their votes count.”
The question is, are we ready now to fix the broken election systems that our (s)elected officials have no interest in fixing?
One of Zeldin’s opponents said Zeldin voted for Cuomo’s budget every year, and Zeldin never denied it. So I didn’t vote for him. But I’ll vote for him in November if he’s the nominee.
It won’t matter. He would never win in the general. Rinos lose, even if they win
My guess is same folks who were late comers to Trump; thinking, he can’t get elected, I’ll throw in with Bush, Rubio, or one of the other more “electable”.
Your guess is wrong. I was with Trump from day one BECAUSE I believed then he was the only one electable.
And because everybody knew HRC was unbeatable so they didn’t have to cheat too much.
Guilliani would turn New York red in 10 years tops. Sad you didn’t listen to him on the warroom. Sad you keep putting clay in our Movement. Please stop voting. Very much why we have red flag laws now.
Hi Niagara- electability was the main reason I voted for Astorino.
Any Republican who can get elected Westchester county exec must know what he’s doing.
However I think the 3 of them are good, especially Andrew, and I will support whoever wins.
Anything to beat the witch Hochul.
Love you Seneca the Elder but RA lost to the biggest loser – George latimer – he will never win statewide. Love Rob A but no way no how! Andrew G all the way. Problem is NYS is RINO like and they chose Zeldin to loose – sorry, that’s how NYS RP rolls. Time to get the hellout of NYS. We are doomed if Zeldin wins. We just are!!!
Astorino is a has been; he will definitely lose.
Only Giuliani could have a chance at winning.
Well Giuliani is the MAGA candidate.
Why bother with these “Election Night Results” threads? The important outcomes usually aren’t decided for days to come!
They stopped giving lists, too many people were starting to notice how many Dems and Rubio’s were being endorsed.
So lists are definitely out!
I think the plan is to simply use proper pronouns and synonyms like you are, “MAGA” for now and then switch to “RINO” just after the elected Republican starts doing all of the social progressive things Republicans historically do.
Pronouns make our delicate party members feel safer… Never call a republican a republican.
Also, Keep up the great exceptionalisum and remember to totally forget all of this. We’ll ALL need to repeat it again in 2 years… It’s the only way we change things!!!
Like the great parable taught us, Wylie E Coyote never gives up!!!
Everyone get out there and commit your consent to be ruled by the next Republican replacing that other Republican.
And remember… THIS TIME unlike the last 40 times, everything will be different.
and it will be, Dev, if you all will do what we have done: research, research, research where their money comes to them from, their voting record, and past alliances. Get to know them better than they know themselves.
The ones with no voting record (newbies as a rule), invite them to your group, your church or whatever gathering you can get together and ask them tough questions.
If you don’t do it, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten.
No thanks, I’ll settle for a good ole fashioned fight about it.
How you guys still think your can out vote private corporations (GOP, RNC, DNC) run by un-elected leaders I’ll never understand.
When we were “ruled” by those RINOs did you ever worry about food shortages? Or after spending less than $600 to fill your heating oil tank were you worried about the price for the same amount climbing to $1,800 next winter? Or whether you would be carjacked by terrorists silently supported by Washington DC? Or your city being taken over by lawless mobs? Or losing your job for using the wrong pronoun?
Did you worry those RINO’s would force you to be injected with an experimental vaccine championed by rich lunatics who think the earth is overpopulated?
But you are right. This time is different. Much different than any time I can remember.
RINOs have gone all the way over to the Dark Side.
I would rather hold my nose and do a double back gainer off the George Washington bridge than hold my nose and vote for a RINO.
No, but many of us also didn’t worry here in GA that with a Republican Gov, SoS, and control of both Houses that they ALL would let election fraud slide in both the 2020 election and the supplemental Senate runoff election.
Some RINOs are just as corrupt as Dems.
Good use of your pronouns… So many here get their feelings hurt when you call Republicans Republicans.
Everyone needs to vote smartly. We need to thoroughly research all of the candidates on our ballots before we go to the polls. IMO the GOP party should be stressing this to voters. Never walk into a polling place without a list of people you will vote for.
I think battered conservative syndrome is a conservative remaining in a blue state after decades of abuse. That’s masochism. I’m a born and bred, dyed in the wool NY’er – but of course I don’t live there!
Slap! What’s the matter with you! Cher.
(Wasn’t intended for Serena.Sorry.)
Everyone here needs to stop being conned by voting… That was my point.
Time to fight kids, quit hanging on to the exceptionalisum lie.
The replies to these 2 Dem tweets below are identical. I don’t know if this latest Hutchison promoted “Trump scandal” was deliberately timed to appear on this primary day to harm Trump endorsements; released earlier as retaliation for the SCOTUS decisions or just random.
But this is exactly what a typical Dem/Hillary coordinated and well-planned effort to harm P Trump would look like. Both tweets are BS hyperboles and Jaypal’s is an outright distortion that makes Hutchison’s testimony appear to be a direct recorded quote of PDJT. This is how even Dem transitioning Fox has headlined it.
How would the Depp/Heard jury have voted if only Amber Heard’s testimony was allowed and not the defecation etc. Despicable but not unusual for these times!
This mentally unstable Trump hater’s hyperboles and superlatives have reached ludicrous and embarrassing proportions even for him.
And yet Kelly Anne remains his wife. Astonishing.
Did Georgie Porgie ever hear about Hunter Biden and his father Joe?
Well he probably is deaf in one ear and can’t hear in the other🤔🤔. When anything related to PDJT is ever mentioned, just saying.
the guy is a classic grifter. I hope he’s using some of that money to actually support his family. His wife seemed to be the main bread-winner for a long time there…… and Lord is that guy ugly. What is she doing with him?
You’ve got that all wrong; he’s independently wealthy and set up an very prestigious law firm.
Research this guy; he’s is very bright but for whatever reason…he is now a Never=trumper.
Kelly Anne was also quite wealthy when they married…so…I don’t really know about the grifting stuff.
I think Trump has some good slander lawsuit opportunities here. The fact that idiot Jayapal quoted those words is beyond disgusting. The words came from the little twit aide of Mark Meadows, not Trump.
Meadows’ aid is 25 now so she was maybe 23 in Jan 2020? Why did Meadows have a 23 year old in his top aide position?
She wasn’t a “top aide”. She prolly fetched coffee for the top aide.
Rumor has it she fetched cigars for Billary Jefferson Rod Ham Clitler and such.
Probably did some POLE dancing as well.
Or diet coke. 😉
Bet Mrs. Meadows would like to know the answer to that question.
She’s pissed because she thought she was going with PDJT and his A-Team to Mara-Lago…but he said “No” to her.
She’s just a dumb, lyin’ $itch!
Covered up FDA giving us untested jabs from now on also. Vote was 19-2, totally corrupt
The testimony is false. They said this girl was pressured to say these things and the Secret Service has denied it. Also, she wanted to work for Trump in Florida and some urged him not to hire her because she was trouble. It seems like they were right. Anyway Cheney got her to do this. She switched her attorney 2 days before testifying. I’m sure he was telling her not to do it.
Lee needs to be primaried.
If you mean Sen Mike Lee, I researched his two female (supposedly-R) opponents and they would be much worse than Lee so he got my vote.
After the first debate I decided for Giuliani, feeling he had the best policies and spirit. I pray the extraordinary events of the past 2.5 years will pry enough voters away from the status quo and into his column, now and in November.
Ever since 9/11, my spider sense goes off when it comes to Rudy and his family….
Too many unanswered questions. I know a lot of people love Rudy, and I get it.
However, there is just too much there to feel comfortable. Suspicious Cat is still suspicious.
LOL
Enlighten us please and tell us about these unanswered questions. Your statement gives us nothing to go on so it’s hard to find it credible.
You probably would be more comfortable with Biden.
You are suspicious of Rudy in regards to 9-11? Makes no sense.
I was tempted to go that way but instead went for Zeldin. Whether it’s fair or not, with the Giulianis right now post-Trump, there’s just too much baggage to deal with, especially when we are closer than ever to being able to grab back the governorship. It may be a long time before we ever get a moron like Hochel as a challenger.
The reason you think they have too much baggage is that is what Democrats want you to think. Get a bullshit filter.
My BS detector works just fine. It was tested about an hour ago right here. 😉 Seriously, have you even taken the time to look at the younger Giulani’s resume and list of qualifications for office? Do that and get back to me on why he is so electable. It’s as thin as cheap toilet paper. Dems will beat him like a drum. In addition to that, in this primary his campaign wrote off a majority of the state (both western and upstate). We get that kind of treatment from the Dems…don’t need it from Republicans too.
Problem is, no Republican Governor can defeat the Dem control of the rest of the NYS govt. It will be nothing but dead ends on getting anything accomplished and the Dems will have enough power to thwart anything a Republican Governor wants or tries to do.
If the republicans could gain control of the assembly or senate, then a Republican Governor might be able to do some things. Until that happens, Zeldin or whoever, will be Governor in name only. The only other option is a Republican Governor is pushed into going along with the Dems on most legislation so where are we ahead? I guess having the bragging rights that a Republican Governor was elected in NYS would be about it. You know we’ve seen this before here in the Empire State.
Well, as I recall Donald J. Trump didn’t have the right kind of resume either and Hillary was sure as Hell gonna” beat him like a drum”.
I think Andrew has quite a few bonifides just considering he kept pace with PDJT for 4 straight years with no rumors, complaints or firings..
Not to mention PDJT has been to the city to for Andrew’s rally recently. Soooo I think PDJT is taking an interest in this election.
Hochel will definitely beat Zeldin; unless Zeldin can switch the cheating his way…maybe…
He’s not a leader. He will wheel and deal just Dandy-Andy…seriously; he’s very weak.
Either you stand for something, or you stand for nothing.
Sadly it looks like traitor Moore will keep his seat in 1st Utah.
I and my family voted for Tina Peters for CO SOS.
I think a lot of people are deliberately waiting for the last minute to vote, in person, on paper.
CO County Courthouse was packed with people dropping off ballots.
not from CO, but I just love Tina Peters! What a courageous woman! No wonder she is a Gold Star Mom! You are so lucky to have her.
I know. Not to in any way disparage her son’s service and ultimate sacrifice, but I found myself wondering earlier whether she or her son had done more on behalf of the Republic.
👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻 I voted for Tina, too. Very MAGA and will fight election fraud. They tried to stop her from running by arresting her!
Peters is Grade-A Hardcore Ultra MAGA… they’ve gone after her HARD… and yet here she is…
Same for this Colorado family. Her June 9 interview on America Can We Talk channel on Rumble was an eye opener.
https://rumble.com/v17ward-interview-with-tina-peters-and-sherronna-bishop-6.09.22.html
So supposedly the RINOs won in all the races that really mattered in Colorado, including Tina Peters’. I am not seeing people believing it, but I am seeing people discouraged, thinking, “if we couldn’t even win in the primary, the November election is gone.” However, there is running as a third party or write-in candidate, and I bet Tina Peters would easily win even a write-in campaign, if it was fair.
All we have to do is require the November election to be fair and free. We have a few months to get rid of ballot boxes and voting machines. If our government persists in forcing us to use fraudulent election systems, it is going against God’s law and we have a responsibility as “lesser magistrates” to refuse to let them defraud our nation again. Check out https://fecunited.com/lessermagistrates
I went to the polls about 4:30pm Central (OK) and while there, the poll workers were calling out what kind of ballot the people coming in would receive. About 6 out of 7 were Republican voters.
On a different note, even though we are a deep red state, we have joined a local group to research, investigate and identify the RINO’s running (and serving in this state). They may be listed as Republican, but Tom Cole and James Lankford voted more in line with AOC than they did for what the people in this state voted for!
Praying we’ve unearthed and exposed all the RINO’s and we get better representatives at the State and local level as well as in DC.
I see that Oklahoma primaries are semi-closed, that’s pretty good. So only unaffiliateds and registered Republicans can request a Republican ballot. I unfortunately live in a semi-open state, anyone can ask for a Republican ballot. I dislike this. I don’t think registered Dems should be able to choose the Republican nominees. I wish all primaries were closed. If you aren’t a registered Republican you can’t participate in choosing the Republican nominee.
Agree 100% absolutely, Serena.
Great to hear, Joyce. Praying Jackson Lahmeyer overtakes Lankford, who has embarrassed himself as a Republican. As has, IMO, Stephanie Bice, whose campaign I worked on in 2020. I expected so much from her, and at least we got Kendra Horn out, but it’s been crickets from her since, compared to the likes of MTG and Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert. While our country has been crumbling, it’s been on her watch (from presumably the “reddest” state in the country). I’ve got the same gripe with our governor. Apparently Stitt needs lessons from DeSantis. It’s embarrassing.
Lankford and Bice voted for the J6 committee and/or to certify the election.
In their naïveté, they believe we can compromise with the Democrats. And Lankford, in particular (IMHO), hides behind his Christian faith to say, in his adverts, “We’ll do the right thing, in the right way.” Well, “the right way” to me, means compromise. And when I heard him speak at my precinct meeting, he said, “We need to engage” and persuade them of our point of view. Really?
He’s laughable in his naïveté. There is no compromising with these people. And I will never forgive him for voting to certify the election.
Thank you, dear Treepers, for letting me rant.
Lankford is not naive, he’s a full fledged member of The Party
“James Lankford voted more in line with AOC…”
I wish you every success in defeating him.
It says “Open Discussion Thread”
On this primary day FNC’s website headlines Hutchison’s “quoted” testimony but I couldn’t find one article covering P Trump’s replies to her testimony.
Given Brett Baier’s brazenly open transitioning to becoming a devoted Biden/Dem enabler, it looks like Fox is turning away from most of its viewers again. He’s not alone. Is there a major reason why the latest Democrat hit job comes on this primary day or not? Illinois, NY ?
One of President Trumps response from Truth Social:
“The woman, who was a BIG Trump fan long AFTER January 6th (if her Fake Stories were true, why would she want to be?), was let go and not wanted in Florida, so she made up phony and completely outrageous stories, the craziest of which has already been proven to be a complete lie. The Secret Service said, according to the Media, it wasn’t true. Wow! She has now lost all credibility, just like the partisan Witch Hunt perpetuated by the Unselect Committee of political hacks. MAGA!”
Isn’t one of the hated 10 (Jan6) on the chopping block tonight in Missippi?
Yes! And the Rino Michael Guest who voted to approve the Jan 6 committee won😞 With help from the Democrats he waged a successful smear campaign against the America First candidate. Fooled again. Back to business as usual
A short interview with True the Vote’s Catherine Englebrecht talks with Behizy, Nick Moseder, and Brian CanConn – short and very interesting about Election Integrity.
https://rumble.com/v1abswd-true-the-vote-caught-them-all-w-catherine-engelbrecht.html
Remember, my fellow Democrats – vote early and vote often.
Only went to vote for Bailey in IL. He’s the downstate MAGA state senator who sued Pritzker for his stay at home overreach and has advocated for Chicago to be removed from Illinois. The rest of the party is utterly worthless and I would have stayed home but for Bailey.
I voted for him also and was happy to do so. That doesn’t happen often when voting in Illinois
I voted Bailey, too.
Where did all these Democrats come from? They grow thicker and thicker and act more and more outrageously at each successive election. Now yesterday they had the presumption to elect S. H. Dwinelle to the Judgeship of the Fifteenth District Court, and not content with this, they were depraved enough to elect four out of the six Justices of the Peace! Oh, ‘Enery Villiam, where is thy blush! Oh, Timothy Hooligan, where is thy shame! It’s out. Democrats haven’t got any.
The only man I ever knew who could counteract this passion on the part of Democrats for voting, was Robert Roach, carpenter of the steamer Aleck Scott, “plying to and from St. Louis to New Orleans and back,” as her advertisement sometimes read. The Democrats generally came up as deck passengers from New Orleans, and the yellow fever used to get them right and left – eight or nine a day for the first six or eight hundred miles; consequently Roach would have a lot on hand to “plant” every time the boat landed to wood – “plant” was Roach’s word. One day as Roach was superintending a burial the Captain came up and said:
“God bless my soul, Roach, what do you mean by shoving a corpse into a hole in the hill-side in this barbarous way, face down and its feet sticking out?”
“I always plant them Democrats in that manner, sir, because, damn their souls, if you plant ’em any other way they’ll dig out and vote the first time there’s an election – but look at that fellow, now – you put ’em in head first and face down and the more they dig the deeper they’ll go into the hill.”
In my opinion, if we do not get Roach to superintend our cemeteries, enough Democrats will dig out at the next election to carry their entire ticket.
– Mark Twain; Early Tales & Sketches, Vol. 2 1864-1865, (Univ. of California Press, 1981), pp. 313-14.]
“‘I always plant them Democrats in that manner, sir, because, damn their souls, if you plant ’em any other way they’ll dig out and vote the first time there’s an election-..’”
I like the Roach Approach!
Gives a whole new meaning to free and fair elections.
Apologies for the length, but here is what to expect tonight in Illinois.
Illinois R’s, particularly downstate, are going to play into the hands of the Dems on the gubernatorial race, and likely once again create massive problems for the rest of the ticket in the general election where seats in the legislature are desperately needed to get the R’s out of the superminority.
Illinois actually has a decent reflection of the different areas of the nation as a whole, in the sense that it has a sizable urban population (Chicago), other big cities (eg Bloomington-Normal, Quad Cities, Rockford, E. St. Louis), small cities/towns, suburbs with different characters (Chicago’s north shore vs. south side vs. western burbs are all different animals), and hard core rural. Manufacturing, agriculture, tech/finance, health care, universities, etc.
Trump lost IL in 2020 40% to Biden’s 57% (libertarian 1%). He lost IL in 2016 55:38 (libertarian got 4%). The win/loss was entirely due to losing bigly in Cook County (Chicago) and the “collar counties” that surround it that are mainly suburbia.
Illinois R’s cannot win statewide unless they run as “big tent” people, or catch their opponent in a big screw up, and get a reasonable margin of votes out of Cook County (usually 25% for statewides), and the collar counties (at least 55%).
The last 2 effective R governors who didn’t go to jail (corruption has been bipartisan in the IL state offices) were pro-choice big-ticket wonky policy guys with significant expertise in IL government, were very effective at working the other side, had dem legislators who were mainly working-class bread-and-butter types, and who also had a hugely effective R state Senate leader in the legendary Pate Phillips. That ensured IL functioned somewhat non-insanely.
As the state turned more blue, but the red areas got redder, R’s started losing seats in the city and burbs (there were also changes in how legislators could hold office that impacted), and “progressive/marxists” started winning in Chicago. IL lost manufacturing disproportionately more relative to other midwestern states, and hence never had the same “Trump” effect as we saw in OH, PA, WI, etc. during 2016 with high-skilled working class/trades.
In 2014, Bruce Rauner was able to win statewide as an R by bringing along (a) big money; and (b) “urban professionals”/good government types in Chicago to reach that 25%-ish threshold. He was unabashedly pro-choice, and his opponent was Pat Quinn, who took office by virtue of being the Lieutenant Gov. of the prior governor Blagojevich who was impeached for, among other things, allegedly “selling” the Obama senate seat after Obama became president. That significantly depressed Dem turnout.
Rauner also was smart enough to balance the ticket with Evelyn Sanguinetti (despite the Italian married name, is Hispanic and utterly charming). Nevertheless, he barely eked out a win vs. Quinn with around 1.8M votes, 50.3%.
Rauner then governed horribly and got played by one of the strongest machine politicians in US history, Michael J. Madigan. He refused to compromise with his Dem majority legislative chambers, and IL went without a budget for 2 years. Rauner then was stupid enough to piss off a) the trade union guys by excoriating all unions (when he should have been focusing on abuses involving our state employee unions); and b) the downstate base on an abortion bill, which led to a primary challenge by suburban legislator Jeanne Ives in 2018.
The Ives/Rauner fight demonstrated the clear split in IL between the R’s who more strongly identify first as “social conservatives” (Ives) vs the “fiscal conservatives” (Rauner). There are many policy areas where they can be aligned, but Ives ran against Rauner on the social issues. The ultimate outcome was a loss by Ives, 48.5-51.5. Having alienated half the base, Rauner then got smoked in the 2018 general by obnoxious dem JB Pritzker, who ran the “Big tent” campaign, 55-38 (remainder to other Gov candidates designed to split R votes).
Interestingly, Rauner in 2014 got 1.8M votes to Quinn’s 1.68; but in 2018, Rauner got ~1.765M votes, while Pritzker got 2.4M. That was a MASSIVE machine swing for Pritzker; and Pritzker likewise took care to court the downstate voters.
In 2022, we have had an R primary that was a hot mess. White evangelical Darren Bailey took up the Ives “so-con”/downstate wing early, and courted suburban mom R’s on an anti-vax/anti-mask platform. Irvin was a popular African-American suburban mayor from Aurora. Gary Rabine was the Trumper who builds things (he has a huge paving company). Jesse Sullivan came in as “hedge fund guy from aw shucks central Illinois” who looks like a central casting candidate. Paul Schimpf was the conservative but with real-world legislative experience, etc. Max Solomon is another African-American whose big issue is school choice.
As someone who has at least some pulse/insight on IL political issues, the mail was insultingly stupid; Irvin’s potential was messed up. His talented running mate Avery Bourne was not utilized as she should have been. His people (hired by Hedge Fund billionaire Ken Griffin) had a strategy, and it failed.
That being said, Governor Pritzker and his surrogates knew full well that Irvin was the best candidate to beat them, because Pritzker NEEDS the African-American vote to keep his numbers safe from Cook County. Irvin had the appeal to be the first African-American governor in IL, and could be conservative without scaring the crap out of suburban moms who are the independent “swing” in the state. They spent 35M-50M against him in the primary, depending on how you count the surrogate funders (eg DGA).
In a blue state, R’s win when they run on 80% issues that attract suburban moms (see, e.g, Youngkin).
Darren Bailey will not do that. Just as the Chicago D’s are in a left-wing crazy bubble, the downstate R’s create their own purity test problems that simply do not win enough votes in the Chicago metro area.
I suspect after tonight everyone will be pointing fingers and rationalizing things six ways from Sunday. Dan Proft on AM 560 will spend the 2nd week of November complaining about “establishment” RINOs, and the “establishment” will likewise complain about the “crazy” that turns off the middle needed to win a general.
The IL R primaries will re-confirm that while Dems may be the evil party, R’s are the stupid party.
Prove me wrong. 😉
Look at Illinois’ demographics. This is 2021 data from census.gov:
white but not hispanic 60.8%
hispanic 17.5%
black 14.6%
I think Bailey has a chance. I think the hispanics have had enough of the Dems, and they comprise a larger portion of the population than blacks do. And I think a lot of blacks have had enough of the Dems too and I expect record numbers of them to vote GOP for the first time in their lives. 🙂
Biden and the other Democrats have really caused a mess for themselves. This is a very unusual mid-term election situation. A heck of a lot of people are angry about the economy. People know they did better under Trump than they’re doing under Biden.
I can’t prove you wrong, but I can say you might want to consider that 2022 is different. 🙂
I want to add too that Ronna McDaniel and the other people leading the GOP party need to get on the ball and support Bailey if he wins the primary! They need to understand the value of having a GOP Governor of Illinois and help the Bailey win in November. I often wonder what value Ronna adds. We need competent party leadership. Does Trump need to do everything??
President Trump is mostly doing everything, so I guess that is your answer.
Mitten’s niece is as significant as an infected pimple on a duck’s butt.
I hope you are right. I can’t can’t stand politicians, especially Illinois ones, who are “fiscally conservative” but that’s where it ends. Remember Mark Kirk? Ugh.
This is a good rebuttal.
Regrettably, Illinois Republicans are accustomed to losing. It will require a lot more than your clear-minded analysis to convince them they can fight and win.
Wrong. Illinois is mostly red. The majority hate Pritzker and lighthead. Trump lost, but not to Biden. The people of Illinois voted for President Trump, but the vote counters did not. President Trump lost to the cheating scam that has put the dems in charge for decades. Just look at Kim Fox and then ask why Jesse Smollet is running around as free as a bird, while American patriots are locked up in DC! BTW, police have been called to the Fox idiot’s house at least twice in the last week or two.
Its called a communist colour revolution.
I am convinced that California is actually still a red state, but the commies have taken over counting of the votes and install whom they please with impunity.
Bill Brady should have won when he ran against Quinn. Downstate pro life pro Gun conservative with political savvy and a known name. Led the polls on the home stretch until somehow Quinn picked up five points on election night.
They called Pat Quinn “three county quinn” because he only won 3 of the 102 counties in Illinois but still won the race. You can’t out-vote the fraud out of cook county. Illinois county by county is completely red. There are 6 blue counties in the entire state and a few of them are barely blue. The rest are 60/40 red to blue. Democrats rule with an iron fist and the Illinois GOP is corrupt and cowardly.
Brady never campaigned.
He went on vacation a couple weeks before the election.
He thought he had it in the bag running against the stupid moron Quinn.
Spit! Voter fraud wins the day in Illinois every time.
Hope you are wrong.
-Please, God; please🙏🏻.
Whose payroll are you on?
This post by Eworth seems like something one would see in the Capitol Fax blog, which is an Illinois political blog geared towards Democrat and RINO Illinois government insiders run by liberal pseudo-journalist and commentator Rich Miller.
The people who post on that blog are mostly pompous government insiders who truly view the general public, in particular grassroots conservatives, as deplorables.
I sometimes read that blog to keep tabs on what the government insiders in Illinois are up to, but I hate it.
I love your user name! lol
Thanks! I thought it was ironic and funny.
Illinois is a nearly 400 mile long geographically conservative state.
It isn’t right or fair to expect the many conservatives who live in the great conservative expanse of Illinois to tolerate perpetually having to vote for and live under the rule of Democrats and RINOs because that is what the majority of the people in the Chicago area want.
That is not representative government. The conservatives who live in the conservative regions of Illinois shouldn’t have to flee their homes and move to conservative areas in other states just to be able to finally live under conservative rule.
Conservative Illinois voters, like myself, shouldn’t have to tolerate voting for terrible, abhorrent RINOs that they hate such as former governors Bruce Rauner, George Ryan, Jim Edgar, and Jim Thompson just because the establishment claims that those are the only type of Republicans who are electable statewide in Illinois.
If that claim is true, then it further justifies the support that I have for the New Illinois Movement, which advocates separating the liberal Chicago region from the conservative rest of the state. The alternative to Illinois separation is to acknowledge that the rest of Illinois will always be run as a vassal of liberal Chicago.
Those of us who live in the regions of Illinois outside of metro Chicago already flaunt many of the ignorant, liberal, Chicago centric laws imposed upon us.
For example, we have many Second Amendment sanctuary counties. Most of our municipalities and counties outside of metro Chicago flaunted Governor Pritzker’s covid lockdown and mask mandate.
Also, I and many of my neighbors will celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks despite them being banned at the state level. The firework tents in West Alton, MO this time of year are flooded with Illinoisans who flaunt this ignorant, Chicago centric statewide ban on fireworks.
Bruce Rauner was not a fiscal conservative. He made Illinois the first state with taxpayer subsidized abortion. That is a disgusting and very fiscally and morally liberal policy to sign into law.
It’s bigoted when critics of Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey criticize him for being openly Christian or for being too Christian or evangelical for Illinois.
There is no chance that Bailey will try to force his religious view upon others or try to turn Illinois into a theocracy, so criticizing him for openly expressing his faith is just plain ignorant and wrong.
I happen to appreciate that Bailey is openly Christian. People have the right to disagree, but his faith shouldn’t be a disqualifying factor for the governorship.
Gary Rabine was not the MAGA candidate for Illinois. He basically ignored every part of Illinois that isn’t metro Chicago in his campaign.
I respectfully called Rabine out for that on his campaign’s Facebook page and my comment was deleted. I have no tolerance for censorship loving, free-speech hating politicians like that of any political party.
Bailey is the Trump endorsed Illinois gubernatorial candidate.
Republicans are not losing in all of the suburban regions of Illinois. If one acknowledges that there are suburbs in Illinois outside of metro Chicago, they would notice that Madison County in the St. Louis Metro East (the Illinois suburbs of St. Louis) has recently flipped from being a machine Democrat county into being one of the largest and most prominent Republican counties in the state.
I live in Madison County and we are one of the counties that flaunted the covid lockdowns and mask mandates. We’re even one of the Second Amendment sanctuary counties that I mentioned earlier.
I voted for all of the MAGA, populist, grassroots conservatives on the Republican ballot in person today.
Fortunately, there were many of them this time, both in the statewide elections and the local and regional elections.
Darren Bailey for governor, Peggy Hubbard for U.S. senate, and Tom DeVore for attorney general were all good MAGA candidates who ran at the state level in this election.
Bailey would be the Ron DeSantis of Illinois were he to become governor.
None of the candidates that I mentioned above were the ones that the establishment told us were most electable to the Chicago Democrats and RINOs, but I don’t care.
I want to vote for candidates that I like and believe in and not stupid establishment candidates that are supposedly more electable in Chicago.
I realize that my preferred candidates might lose in the general election because of the Chicago Democrats and RINOs, but I still want to try to get decent, conservatives into statewide office here in Illinois and not just automatically settle for the establishment RINOs who are supposedly more electable.
Re your final comment, that’s exactly how I feel. The primary is the time to take a chance on candidates. I actually vote for the person I think is the best candidate and not necessarily the one I think (or I am told) can win in the general. If we all stuck together and voted as a GOP-bloc in November elections we could feel safer to vote freely in the primaries.
Will, DuPage and Kane counties are heavily infested with union members who reliably vote the union endorsements.
This election, I have noticed that in my hood, there have been very, very few yard signs out for any candidates other than a Marine running for a judicial post.
The people are voting. The voting machines are
votingcounting.In California, people vote.
Then the democrats throw away the Republican votes and the counting machines vote in place of the Republican voters.
Finally going to nominate a conservative (Darren Bailey) for governor in Illinois. He will most likely lose to Jabba Pritzker but at least it will give us a choice.
If the economy continues to tank and the Democrats do nothing to help the lower and middle classes, I really do think we’ll see record numbers of black and hispanics voting for the GOP nominee for Governor as well as other GOP candidates.
The choice will be given to whomever counts the votes. This is the way illinois operates!
Da tovarich!
I was re-reading comments and I just noticed “Jabba Pritzker”. lol! Great name for him.
There are two people in my little town, who proudly show a clear (with expletive spelled out) “FJB” sign and its not referencing the potaandtoe at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave or Naval Observatory.
Seeing few yard signs of any flavor in my neighborhood, except for the one judicial candidate, tells me people are afraid to “self identify” with any candidate or their party. Why? Union thuggery is alive and well and people value their jobs.
Here is one problem: Cook County population in 2020 was about 5.7 million.
IL population was about 12.7…that one county has almost half the pop. of IL. Then the collar/unionized peeps peripheral to Cook County that live in Will, Kane, DuPage counties…).
Even here, I am seeing for a short while, ‘handles’ implying IL residency, that don’t post much at other times. How come?
Conservatives in this state need to ‘come out’…and start somewhere. With a handful of sand. Tossed rom a treehouse.
Voted for Zelden for NY Gov today!
I did too for the reasons stated above. At first I was put off with some of the criticism here that Zeldin doesn’t pass the MAGA purity test. Then I recalled that for some of these folks, even President Trump failed that purity test from time to time. I made myself laugh and now the criticism doesn’t bother me a bit.
Zeldin liked Cuomo, nuff said.
Scalia liked Ginsberg. Don’t tell others who they ought to regard fondly.
‘Nuff said.
There was no purer Presidential candidate than Barry Goldwater.
He was crushed by LBJ, whose Great Society program has bankrupted the US Treasury.
Purity tests are a reasonable criteria by which to select your representative but we all need to remember that the majority of the electorate is venal and grasping.
It is not wrong to vote for a squishy Zelden if the opposition candidate is a hard-core Marxist.
I’m sorry I’m all Guiliani – Zeldin is a RINO
If you made the principled choice, why do find it necessary to apologize?
NY needs a republican candidate who can defeat Hochul.
She has got to go.
Giuliani looks good on TV but Zeldin may be the man who appeals to the entire state.
HA. I recall the same BS rhetoric about the 2016 election; total RHINO think…….”Trump can’t win, we need someone who can win………Bush, Rubio, Fiorino, any RHINO but Trump.
No wonder NY is so screwed. When you relocate, don’t take your “stockholm victim” think to where ever you go.
lol, more pablum.
Hearing about a lot of Dem crossover voting for Becky Edwards.
She lives in my neighborhood. Very nice lady but profoundly dishonest about her politics. Recently got busted by Veritas about her hidden beliefs on abortion.
Hope Mike Lee pulls through
Both are LDS which one did the Quorum tell the flock to vote for? Edwards voted for Biden she says.
Interesting, and the show trial had just ended for the day.
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/06/28/report-lead-secret-service-agent-will-testify-trump-did-not-try-to-commandeer-car-on-january-6/
They got their damning story out just in time for today’s primaries and now they will recess until mid/late July…by that the time the Secret Service Agents are brought in to completely debunk the accusations (if they are even allowed to do so), the public will no longer care and the media won’t bother to cover it! It will be just another false allegation that people will assume is true because Orange Man Bad!
Like my dad used to say – SSDD!!
The media thinks it is damning but many people are not buying this mean girl
highschool show they put on i am in deep blue CT and the responses to our local
news story on this was not positive for the dems.. Most people saw thru it
said why doesn;t the otherside get to tell thier side…they weren;t buying or caring
about this.
That’s encouraging! The fact that even the Leftist learning MSM polls show that NO ONE outside of the Beltway is paying attention to this charade is also good news, IMHO!
No, this is blowing up not just online, but the cable news and network s- Secret Service came out with a statement tonight that this was bullhockey and they will provide sworn testimony to rebut!! Bwaahaa-this cigar exploded in their faces today! That stupid, stupid young woman just ruined her own life to be on the news and the media’s darling! She’s about to find out how vicious the punishment will be for making the DS look bad .(think Avenatti )
Her pronouns are now “dead meat” and “toast”.
Sorry, just so all understand, this is sarcastic humour. Should have added a /S in the original post.
LMAO…
Didn’t listen to any testimony but reading about President Trump grabbing the wheel ranks in credibility with the P tape and Russia x3.
why can;t lead SS guy put out a statement…like today???
Blagojevich for the win!
I just voted in person in the Illinois primary today.
I voted for all of the MAGA, populist, grassroots conservatives on the Republican ballot.
Fortunately, there were many of them this time, both in the statewide elections and the local and regional elections.
Darren Bailey for governor, Peggy Hubbard for U.S. senate, and Tom DeVore for attorney general are all good MAGA candidates running at the state level in this election.
Bailey would be the Ron DeSantis of Illinois were he to become governor.
Bailey doesn’t fit the popular stereotype of Illinoisans all being Chicago style liberals at all. He’s a conservative southern Illinois farmer who speaks in a southern drawl.
I did exactly the same.
I live in Illinois and prior to voting went online to the various local and
Chicago papers to try and find what each of the candidates stood for.
Couldn’t find much. The only clues were the snarky comments about
who President Trump endorsed. I wrote a list and voted for them.
I was told there was a steady stream of voters incoming to the
church I voted at, however, there were only three people voting
at 1:30 PM when I went. Although Illinois has mostly always been
a lost cause, it is OUR duty to vote. I couldn’t live with myself if
I didn’t vote.
Many races had only one candidate.
I don’t know if would be legal or not, but I wish President Trump would have
a listing on his website of whom he endorsed. It sure would make it easier.
If not President Trump, then someone else who supports the MAGA movement.
“Although Illinois has mostly always been
a lost cause, it is OUR duty to vote.”
Whatever the outcome tonight, your refusal to quit in the face of overwhelming odds makes you a winner.
This is weird. In Illinois the normal voting hours on election day are 6am to 7pm. But I just saw this: “The Cook County Clerk’s office said the half-dozen locations will remain open until 8 p.m., though the remaining 1,424 suburban locations in the county will still close at 7 p.m.” But Illinois is reporting results at 7pm anyway. Doesn’t this give the late voters an advantage?
Very low turn out…especially in certain Dem areas.
Looks like the Senate Intelligence Committee is winning as Lankford (Okla) appears to be winning again.
Chalk another one up for the deep state.
I guess he rotated out to minimize his exposure to his buddies Burr, Rubio, Warner, etc.
I admire any America-First candidate that runs for any office in Illinois, but forget about ever winning a state-wide race. It will never happen again, like with a few other states. The vote fraud out of Cook County alone can drown-out any massive suburban and downstate support. They have all the tools in-use and the Chicago media mafia provides tens of millions in free campaign support every election cycle by smearing and lying about any decent republican.
There are a few states that are no longer worth fighting for….Illinois is one of them. It’s on the verge of a massive financial collapse that would have already happened if it weren’t for the billions of dollars in Covid-Cash. Let it crash and burn. Fight for the states worth fighting for. The Illinois GOP is as bad as any RINO bunch on the national stage (or worse).
It’s almost like we’re two nations, one red and one blue. Hmm, makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
You are so right.
Zelensky has a better chance of taking Moscow than a Republican has of taking Illinois.
Republican Bruce Rauner was elected Governor in 2014. A Republican can win again. Keep in mind that this year is different than many prior years. The Democrats have really effed things up badly! There isn’t a single good thing going on right now. I think we’re going to see a record number of blacks and hispanics voting GOP in November, including Governor races.
Also keep in mind in 2018 Pritzker only got 54% of the vote despite the fact that he was running against a poor GOP candidate (Rauner, after 4 years of doing badly as Governor).
Like NY, a Republican might win the governorship. However, being able to govern and get some Republican policies enacted is another story. In NY, the rest of the state govt. is solid blue and doesn’t look to change any time soon. I’d bet it’s like that in Illinois too. No Republican Governor will be able to do much except brag they got elected in those two very solidly blue states.
It just might work out to be a good base to build on if a Republican Governor is elected in a deep blue state. Future elections might change the Dem seats in the legislatures to red over time if the Republican Governor is exceptionally good at navigating the Democrat run governments in those states. Long shots but who knows. People are mad enough about what the Dems are doing so they might vote red. Then there’s the problem of election fraud to overcome too.
Well, let’s just see how it goes I guess.
Who’s supposed to give up fighting in Illinois? We conservatives who live here? I’m not voting RINO that’s for sure. If nothing else their stance on some issues disqualifies them according to my faith. I will never turn my back on true conservatives. What annoys me is conservatives who have given up and just left. I understand why and don’t blame them- but damnit I wish someone would stick around and fight. It’s my lifelong home I’m watching go down.
Worse than conservatives who left are the ones who stayed but don’t vote any more.
if you wanna fight for illinois, focus your efforts locally. The communists control every crevice of state government and most large counties. Many of your local republican office holders are democrats working slowly to turn the local government blue. If you care that much about the place, focus on the local and county-level stuff. You absolutely can make a difference there because stealing those races is much tougher.
I’m not trying to start an argument, but in your prior comment you wrote “There are a few states that are no longer worth fighting for….Illinois is one of them.” But now you are giving advice how to fight? I would like you to take your own advice if you’re in Illinois. Don’t give up. We need to leverage this unusually bad year for Democrats. There are going to be a lot of Dem walkaways, I think. People walked away for far less!
Serena, am in Will County. And I agree. The Illinois Regime is too firmly entrenched. Like old Foster who was quoted earlier this year, that he was not going to run. His lips were moving. He lied. Are we surprised?
They repeatedly screw the hard working honest citizens. Over a half a century of corruption? I doubt the fight will be won in our lifetime. Like last year’s BBQ, we saved 0.16. FJB-Pr.
‘
I heard that FJBPr won his lawsuit appeal to let us all know and ‘appreciate’ he was going to ‘lower gas taxes’ on July 1. They throw pennies to the citizens. And millions to themselves. And he spends money on “advertising” at gas stations.
My sweet revenge is spending money in other states, when I am able. And that opportunity occurs, a lot.
This is exactly how I feel about Illinois too. I’m not going to let some crooked, woke RINOs and Democrats force out of my home and into relocating to some other state. I’m fighting back against them.
I look at the expense right now and am sitting tight. Am trying to balance the pro’s and con’s, expense etc, to see where I stand.
Politics should not be the driving force to leave, but for many, the results are what send them elsewhere.
Don’t give up just yet. The financial House of Cards is about to collapse on the Democrat party of Illinois.
This will trigger a brutal response by the electorate.
Woot!!

Dear God, let it be so.
Senator Tammy Duckworth is up for re-election in Illinois. It’s not likely but I pray that in November enough people are so fed up with Democrats that they vote for her Republican opposition, whoever it turns out to be.
I hope so too. She is a total loser.
One thing I respect from her is when I have written to her about certain issues she has always written back with a lengthy explanation about why she supports a certain bill or cause. She did say one time that she’d look into something I wrote to her about that she had not known about. Dick Durbin’s answers have been much shorter basically saying this is the way I feel and that’s the way it’s going to be.
But she voted for Obamacare and all of the other stuff that has hurt the middle class so badly
They have office staff who handle the canned responses.
I got the same from Foster in Will Co once. Still did not address my issue. Pelosi has got to go. She has them house reps in a had vise.
Kinzinger was my son’s congress critter. He had gatekeepers that ignored the issues of his constituent veterans. Thank goodness he is done, hopefully does not make a future return.
I really feel IL is a lost cause.
Durbin and Duck have been very, very quiet of late…am wondering why. I personally feel the duck has pulled the injured veteran handicapped female child of an immigrant card way too much. I feel that has been an insult to others of the same issues.
RINO Lankford winner in OK.
With just two percent of precinct vote totals in ……… FOX newz ….. is projecting Hillary Clinton WINNER in all races. —- Trust Us.
/s/ sorry , couldn’t resist
nice
😂😂😂
Creepy useless jack-of-all-trades Obama pal Alexi Gianoulias is running for Secretary of State in Illinois. His toughest opponent is Anna Valencia who has been accused of being corrupt. There will be a Republican candidate for the general election, just like the Duckworth Senate race it’s unlikely the Republican candidate will win but miracles do happen. 🙂
By the way, both Giannoulias and Valencia advertised themselves as pro-abortion, which I found a little odd because the Secretary of State doesn’t handle any matters regarding abortions. It was useless pandering.
They probably plan on using abortion clinics as voter registration sites
OMG! You are probably right.
Crusty Democrate Rep Danny Davis has some stiff competition tonight in the Dem primary, a woman named Kina Collins. Right now Davis has 51% and Collins has 46.6%. I would love to see Davis primaried even if Collins is the newest squad member. 🙂
Mary Miller holding lead in IL 15th house.
This is no doubt why Davis lost despite being the incumbent:
He voted to certify Biden’s 2020 election win and was one of 35 House Republicans who supported a proposal for a bipartisan Jan. 6 commission that ultimately died in the Senate.
When are these GOP politicians going to learn?
Dave Wasserman
@Redistrict
In #IL15, Trump-endorsed Rep. Mary Miller (R) is emerging as the favorite over Rep. Rodney Davis (R) w/ some strong performances in areas Davis has represented. She’s currently up 56%-44%.

Hey
@RepBoebert
/@laurenboebert,
your own party establishment definitely succeeded in getting Democrats to vote against you.
They still lost. But you should obviously see that.
2/. RINOs absolutely partnered with Democrats to get their voters to vote against @laurenboebert.
Nobody can seriously look at that county and argue otherwise.
Yet, they still got their ass kicked.

Have they gotten rid of cheating machines ?
NO, have they arrested the cheaters and LIARS from last time ?
NO, have they done anything to insure fair and honest elections ? NO.
Good luck.
Loser mentality.
#MAGA candidates have been winning for months.
Breaking News regarding Dr.Zelenko (pray)

Giuliani leading easily in the City. Zeldin winning elsewhere. Upstate loves its RINO’s like a sailor loves his rum!
Looks like an easy victory for Hochul in November. In other words, business as usual in the Empire State.
He may not even get a majority in NYC, and that’s the only place he won. Pretty poor showing. Zeldin won most of upstate and LI is looking like a blow out. If you’re a R in NY, you can’t just campaign in NYC.
Maybe not, but I’m not voting for someone just because I saw him on a local news clip.
No majority? Nobody’s getting anywhere near a majority. Huge plurality for Giuliani in the City is all I’m saying. Yes, Zeldin has won, as ordained. Needed an easy patsy for the lackluster Hochul in November. Now they have one. Great.
Zeldin won Manhattan 40-32
Look at the vote totals as well. 3 times as many Ds voting as Rs. NY has been finished for years, it’s a solid blue wall. Pataki last won 20 years ago, and in ’02 he won on Giuiliani’s 9/11 “coattails.” And he was as RINO as they come. Zeldin, Guiliani, it doesn’t matter. If anyone ever has delusions that a R can win state-wide here nowadays, they need to put down the pipe.
Pretty sure the cheaters will be cheating…
Too bad; so sad; Hochul will win in November.
All aboard the abortion train for NYS; Hochul will kill all your babies and groom the ones who live to adopt the trans-gender life in NYC!!!!
For all you Republicans who voted in the primaries, this article is must reading.
It explains how we have to stick together, no matter what. Don’t let the perfect get in the way of the good.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/06/tucker_carlsons_misguided_attack_on_republicans.html
EFF – the GOP !
Third-Party time.
Shall we still send money to the NRA , too ?
( Love ya, Treeper , but disagree )
The House and Senate majorities should be everyone’s top priority now. Third parties do not achieve majorities, only Democrats and Republicans do. It’s imperative that everyone vote for their Republican candidates in November.
Right now in the Senate there are 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats, and 2 Independents. So it looks like Republicans have the majority, right? That’s not how it works. The Indies joined the Democrats so then there was a 50-50 tie, and Kamala was the tie-breaker. So the Democrats have the majority. We need to add at least one more Senate seat so we have the majority.
And we need to get the House majority back too because it’s the House driving all of the bogus “investigations” and legislation as well.
We need to stop losing power because people are picky and emotional. Just vote straight GOP down your entire ballot in November.
15 GOP – RINO snakes just voted to kill due process .
I’M done.
During the primaries you try to weed out the RINOs. In November you vote GOP to win or maintain majorities. Any other way of voting is harmful.
You put that extremely well. No matter one’s thoughts on single issues and
the whining on “we can’t win, why bother voting” we MUST do as you stated.
And rinse and repeat.
The problem is not the “good” versus the “perfect.” The problem is that “good” usually isn’t running. . . . Put me in Utah and I’m not voting for Mittens next time around. I don’t care if his opponent is Justin Trudeau. Not happening, not ever. That’s how we got here.
This. And if the GOP nominee in 2024 is Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Marco Rubio or Liz Cheney, I wouldn’t vote for any of those complicit dirtbags if you waterboarded me.
Majorities are more important than your individual candidates.
The time to try to weed out the RINOs is during the primaries. In November vote GOP down your entire ballot.
Been there. Done that. For forty years. Look where that has got me. No thanks.
YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. When you give up because you’re all emotional about it then you screw everyone else. Get rid of that sad attitude, pull your big boy or girl pants up, and vote for GOP candidates in November. We need to take back the House and Senate majorities. We cannot afford 2 more years of Biden in the White House and Pelosi and Schumer controlling Congress.
Yep! I held my breath and voted for McSlime in 2008 because of Sarah Palin and I can live with that…but the fact that we were forced to accept Mittens in 2012 and I still pulled that lever fills me with shame to this day. I KNEW what he was and I KNEW the game was rigged! I should have stayed home or voted 3rd Party just to make a point!
You just cannot be emotional about it. Our voting strategy should be extremely simple: try to weed out the RINOs during the primaries and then vote GOP in November regardless who the candidates are. The White House and majorities in Congress are way too important.
I profoundly disagree, especially with regard to congressional seats. Every RINO who loses to a DEM is one less RINO to worry about in the future.
The real problem is the splitter strategy. We need to find a way to winnow the field and coalesce support behind a single MAGA candidate to offset Dem crossover votes in open primaries, as well as neutralizing those who switch parties at the last moment in states with a closed primary system.
I didn’t vote for Mittens last time and sure as hell won’t do so again! He is hated in most of the state but the Dems cross over in the SLC area.
Then primary him. But if he wins the primary you need to vote for him the following November. Majorities are more important than individual candidates.
Thanks very much, Seneca; great article and I agree with it completely!
However, I would have voted for Andrew, if I was still living in upstate NY, although most of my fellow R’s would vote Zeldin because he fits the NYS Republican Model better than that rascal Giuliani!
It’s just the way it is.
Mike Ezell defeats incumbent Steven Palazzo in Mississippi US 4th.
Michael Guest the incumbent wins Republican primary in Mississippi House US district 3.
