You may have caught part of a press briefing by Florida’s Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd where he is very deliberate about the Guardian Program in Florida. However, the entire press conference he delivered about school security is well worth the watch.
Before the Parkland High School shooting, Sheriff Judd maintained a school security program called “Sentinel” in Polk County. After the Parkland event and subsequent investigation, Judd’s Sentinel program was rolled out state-wide with expanded training and became the “Guardian Program” for all schools. There are armed guardians at every school in the state. Here’s the press briefing, it’s worth the watch (particularly the first 15 minutes). WATCH:
.
But we have 40 billion for Ukraine.
He says the overwhelming majority of school districts and police departments in the entire country are woefully under-prepared for an active shooter event.
Their entire focus is to kill bad guys graveyard dead before they can even get at children.
No waiting, gathering, mustering, they charge immediately and directly at the threat. If they are being shot at, then the children aren’t.
The police chief in other words, thankfully only the children were mortally wounded and no officers.
Seems that way.
We used to call this tone deaf, but this almost looks like gaslighting and mockery.
It does indeed look like mockery . We are living in a bizarre time in America right now.
Left same impression on me. If the police, although armed, aren’t trained to take out an active shooter, does that mean the kids are? Or until the shooter runs out of ammo or victims?
And please spare me such nice words as “Neutralize” the perpetrator. Perhaps “permanently take out the bastard” might be more easily understood by the dense population that has tried to destroy police actions altogether. Like last year’s “Summer of love.”
Does bravery require training?
Does stupidity?
Was the shooter brave?
effective bravery does INDEED require training.
we don’t send our troops in harms way without such training
and we most certainly cannot afford to not train our school protection teams and just expect they will be BOTH BRAVE AND EFFECTIVE.
training is by far the most effective way to indoctrinate human beings to face their fears AND STILL FULFILL THE OBLIGATION TO SERVE THE PUBLIC AND DO IT WELL.
We simply cannot depend on the luck of the draw that people who are in harm’s way will be brave. Anyone can be brave. Anyone. But what is the difference between brave and effective?
training. training…training.
in training, the most important filter is introduced. Not everyone can or should be tasked with protecting the public. In training, when the attrition rate is high, you KNOW you are probably doing it right.
jmho
Indeed.
Also, true leadership establishes a culture, of competence, of courage.
Complacent leadership inculcates negative traits, indifference, carelessness and confusion.
Bravery comes from your character. They ability to fully utilize that bravery comes from training. However, That lady in W. Virginia who killed the shooter firing an AR15 with her pistol shows a brave but untrained person is better than a well trained coward.
Amen!
You nailed it!
It’s the real point.
We analyze & pontificate on “problems” & psycho babble until people lose interest. All well planned by a move determined to destroy this Republic and morality.
And this is from Texas, mind you. Not Vermont. Not metropolitan NYC.
I seriously do not know how anyone on this site could even think of such a wicked remark let alone “publish” it for the world to see. It comes from the pit of hell.
Luke 23:34
It was a rephrasing of the statement, not an endorsement, it was meant to express contempt, coulda used a sarc tag I’m sure.
/S
You’re a nice man maquis. But it’s these words that literally turned my stomach.
“thankfully only the children…” (I cannot / will not finish the rest just looking at the comment makes me sick- nwtex)
Chill out, he’s paraphrasing what the Uvalde police chief said.
Seems nwtex and the Uvalde sheriff should proceed to the O.K. Corral where current versions of Wyatt and Doc H. (if they still exist) can deal with them correctly.
It’s sarcasm. You may want to hang here for awhile so as to understand how we Treepers ‘roll’ before assuming the worst.
he/she must be new to this site.
Not too sharp on the pickup when it comes to irony are ya?
Yeah, I thought the meme right above was all the /sarc needed!
Tone deaf doesn’t even come close…would have been better to not issue a statement than to put out this, IMHO!
Well, that’s what happens when you don’t even attempt to engage.
Yay for you. I guess.
I’m glad he put this statement out.
But it needs to be saved before he removes it.
It perfectly illustrates where their minds were since it’s a statement describing their “first reaction” to the situation.
His entire department did not sustain any life threatening injuries because they stood outside controlling parents demanding they do their job as they listened to gun shots…and those young kids inside were bleeding out.
The statement was not dated, but the tweet is dated today. If this statement was issued today, or even yesterday, that dumbass needs to be fired ASAP.
This is the worst press release of all time, bar none.
I thought this was a joke, like something from The Onion. Hard to believe he actually put that in writing.
How is it possible he hasn’t resigned in disgrace?
From the training the Uvalde Police Chief received the past two years:
“Time is the number one enemy during active shooter response,” the curriculum states. “The short duration and high casualty rates produced by these events requires immediate response to reduce the loss of life.”
But if you are an incompetent coward floating through city government for years, all bets are off.
Let’s not mince words – these aren’t cowards. People who didn’t care about their lives – both cops and civilians – were prevented from entering. Cowardice has nothing to do with this operation.
I think you may be right. The sanctity of human life has been reduced to ashes.
When seconds count, cowardice kills:
All hat and no cattle, little ones die Awful… that’s my line for this department
I don’t know how they can show their faces on the school grounds. They are making sure that those flowers and Teddy Bears aren’t creating any life-threatening injuries, 10-4 ?/s
The fear that little one felt for over an hour in incomprehensible to me. I grieve for her and all the families. One teacher owns this for her stupid and unthinking act of propping open that door, and act which I hope she will remember in tears for the rest of her life.
….and AFTER hearing gunshots for 12 minutes
….after attending a recent active shooter drill
…..hard to believe it was accidental, or just thoughtlessness
Kinda makes a person wonder who this teacher was REALLY working for
Why isn’t Governor Abbott demanding resignations and/or firings?
If I had my own blog I would answer that question. This is TWO school shooting to happen under GOP governors.
What does that mean??
Aaaaaand another concern troll heard from.
It happens under DNC school boards, superintendents and principals!!! Keep the facts straight. Just like the sheriff said, they had to force the school districts into compliance.
There will be a thorough investigation looking from all angles before punishing any police. They deserve their “day in court” too, much as I and most people have already determined that they failed miserably and possibly caused some deaths that might otherwise have been prevented.
The reports have been conflicting and misleading over the time since it occurred. That is almost as disturbing in and of itself since it may describe the confusion among officials at the scene on the day of the incident. It connotes a lack of professionalism besides fueling justified suspicions.
Exactly. IF and that’s a big if, he was “misled” why hasn’t he already fired the people who misled him? Suspicious cat is suspicious.
Someone can correct me, but I’m pretty sure it was Sheriff Judd who made the apocryphal statement a few years back about his deputies killing an armed murderer of a police officer.
I forget the exact details, but I recall this bad guy had killed a police officer (or sheriff’s deputy) and was hiding in a heavily wooded area. When search teams found him, there was extensive gunfire. Bad guy was killed.
Later on, it was determined that the perp sustained over 60 bullet wounds. During a subsequent press conference, the media, in righteous indignation, asked Sheriff Judd why the bad guy was shot so many times.
Sheriff Judd’s answer was priceless; “We ran out of bullets.”
I love this guy.
Sheriff Judd is a legend!
He’s wonderful, no-nonsense, on the side of Law Abiding people.
When I was still on Facebook, I followed Sheriff Judd and his law enforcement Facebook page. He is a legend – with seriousness toward law enforcement, but also a sense of humor.
This is the kind of person who needs to head up the FBI instead of the conniving sunglasses guys.
FBI hires off the street They should be hiring big city detectives with significant arrests, and unblemished records.
FIB hires only college grads. Not sure if this means anything nor do I wish to criticize college grads but really cannot one be an effective FIB agent without a degree?
He is a State treasure.
His Southern, off-the-cuff remarks would pack any comedy club.
His huge county is the epicenter for sex preditor, pedophilia stings. We always wait for the mug shots and pressers after each operation. His remarks are priceless.
He needs to be elevated to the head of the FBI.
He’s patient, fair, but ruthless at the same time. There would be no BS at the FBI with his leadership.
He goes all over the state with his innovative ideas and works WITH the people, the law enforcement agencies and politicians.
He doesn’t care if y’all are rich or poor. If you’re guilty, you’re going to be arrested.
Don’t come to Florida with nefarious plans. Y’all will end up “Graveyard Dead”.
You seem to have confused the fbi with an agency that isn’t a politicized fabricator of theater that has no real regard for the law – or Americans for that matter. He’s just not gonna fit in with an organization that relies on entrapment in order to make themselves appear useful.
I am not suggesting he “fits in” with the politicized FBI.
He needs to rebuild from the ground up or demolish the whole politicized institution and leave domestic law enforcement to the states.
But Hannity still says 99% of them are honorable heroic public servants…
Hannity is a narcissistic relic from another universe.
I believe the perp had opened fire and killed a law enforcement officer, and took off to the woods, took a day or 2 to find him, and when he would not surrender as they had him cornered, they all took part in sending him to hell. Sherriff Judd is a no nonsense man and desires all the respect he receives.
He is our sheriff and I love him too. I have met him many times and he is a decent guy. When he says something he means it and people know that. When BLM came here to protest, he allowed it in the correct areas, but then they went out on I4 and he told them to leave. They said, “or what are you going to do about it?” He said, “We will shoot you.” They left. Immediately. Because they believed him.
Officers have to take the initiative, and act. And they have to have the support of their department or agency.
What often happens now is that decisions during exigent or critical situations are sent up the chain of command. And often the decision maker, the person with the authority/responsibility, is a spineless weasel who has obtained his/her position by avoiding decisions, whenever possible , and has eschewed acquiring technical expertise and instead has focused on making the right connections, networking, etc.
Your description of the decision maker describes Arredondo to a tee.
One wonders where he was during the recent active shooter training they had at this school.
Most new cadets for the Sheriffs down down here are ex-mil but that means literally nothing. Or, maybe that means something that is real important. They respond to orders. So, they only act on orders. They are trained to bully citizens and not effectively take out bad guys that are shooting back hard and fast. They are pudgy tatoo’d young people that think some sandbox time with ragheads and air support for their firing position qualifies them to go one on one with a psycho. The squad mentality won’t work. They play the PT game with zeal and do the TAC/ninja business (LARPing) well but they can’t shoot fast and accurately. They don’t get in range time in their off hours. They shoot ARs at less then 50 yards with garbage ammo and garbage guns and do mag dumps with handguns at about 10 yards on the *.gov’s dime. Their job is not to be a sheepdog but a happy pensioner.
Look at the SMGs that some EU police carry, like H&Ks. The eurotrash police are better prepared for a shootout with serious crazy trigger people and generally will shoot without a command structure if they get up close.
Bottom line…there have been more perps taken out in the last 2 years before doing their dirty deeds by civilians that are concealed carry and can shoot damn well under pressure.
No man. I disagree. They’re fully trained and they know what to do and how to accomplish it. They were not allowed to engage by federal Marshall’s. Stick to the facts. They weren’t cowards and they weren’t inept. That’s a bs cover.
A relative of mine quit a Fire Department for the same kinds of reasons. People’s lives were at stake and the incident command twiddles thumbs and many times burned the place down. Disgusting bureaucrats.
They had a potential active shooter in 2018 in Uvalde.
From Newsweek: “But the department’s officers said that Ramos was not connected to the two teens in Uvalde who were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder in plotting a mass shooting, Michael Board of the San Antonia news station WOAI tweeted on Friday.”
The Uvalde town governance and cops must be held accountable using the most extreme measures that are legal.
Before even putting security in the schools they need to do like South Dakota, otherwise they’d need a 1/2 dozen or more security officers at each school. In Rapid City schools, no one can get in without a key, key fob or being buzzed in. All doors are locked at all times with usually only the front door being accessible by being buzzed in, rest are key fobs or keyed. I’m talking even the oldest schools that were built in the 50s. Schools are even kept locked even when students are leaving and parents are picking up.From what I understand all South Dakota schools are like this. Can’t help but wonder why all schools are not like this
Remember they had security at the Texas school, but security was at the other end of the building. From what I’ve read & heard the shooter was able to just enter the building.
On top of just being able to come and go at a large percentage of schools in America, we still have a issue with LEO response and correspondence. if security is like the LEOs that just stood outside for almost an hour wouldn’t help anyway.
Some states are allowing their teachers to carry, along with providing them with trading. As I have said before I do believe that need to not only limit entry to schools, but allow well-trained teachers to carry. From what I’ve seen in the public schools I’ve worked at, anywhere from 20% or more of the teachers & workers are vets, who usually are quite well trained in weapons.
Sign that someone posted on FB that should be posted at schools and should not just be for looks.
If you followed the signs’ threat, 95% of the teachers at the schools would be met with deadly force since they are harming our children with their commie BS.
Not sure where you are from, but I will tell you from personal experience it is quite a bit different in Rapid City and majority of the schools in Black Hills.
Pledge is said every morning with many school students saying “I am a proud American at ….. school” right after the pledge.
That’s something worth noting.
Significant security measures are easily defeated. Like when a nitwit props open a door.
By the way, whatever happened to the early reports of him shooting out the glass in a door to gain entry? Was that an early attempt at covering up a door was propped open?
I subbed at least 90% of the schools in Rapid City. There are cameras at all doors too, which surprised me.
When I gave the kids extra recess in the afternoon in Oregon, I was one of those who used to just that.
Luckily i happened to be in just a general conversation with someone and that is one of the biggest No Nos you can do.
My wife subbed for years before school shootings became popular. She then transitioned to teaching college level microbiology for the last several years.
Her worst was subbing in the Denver public schools in the late 80’s.
Propping open a secure door just defeats any other measures the school takes to prevent this situation.
I know that now & probably was quite lucky that nothing happened.
Now if I don’t get a key or key fob if its a regular class, I ask. Several schools already know I give extra recess for a reward to students and just ask and give when I sign in. Hey you would not believe how the behavior will change for just 5 to 10 minutes extra outside.
Cameras, sensors and alarms can stop people from propping open secure doors. If it happens the duration should be very short.
A teacher propped a door open. The only way to defeat that is to prosecute any person who does that.
The school was already in lockdown as there had been reports of gunfire in the area, yet 1 idiot propped a door open, to grab a smoke or whatever, and allowed access inside. If they have cameras they should find this person, regardless of who it is and charge as accessary to 21 murders. If you don’t take security seriously then you are only helping this type of chaos to happen again.
Trump commented that most urban schools have heavy security. I retired from Pittsburgh Public Schools in 2011 and all schools had security cameras and auto lock doors..we had our own police force with school police and security guards in every building..the school police went through the same training as the city police..
Did anyone see Ofc. Tatum’s defense of the Uvalde police? He mocked the parents who wanted to run in by saying what good would running in do when they were only armed with a Gucci bag. Besides the insensitivity of the comment, I was thinking they likely believed the gunman shooting at THEM kept the bullets away from their kids. Any parent would easily prefer that. The sheriff here made the same point. Trump 47 will bring his training program nationwide.
That is sick past sick.
As a sub in Rapid City Schools we have be encouraged and taught to be aggressive if a shooter enters.
I’ve always felt that bing just passive is not the way to go. Throw the shooter off guard by throwing books, binders anything you can.
Hey I’d rather go fighting for the students in my charge then just passively standing there.
it would be hilarious (but legally problematic in a school) if one of the mom’s opened a “Gucci bag”, to show a 357…
parents should be allowed to qualify a guardians or armed auxilaries too
About 2 weeks prior to leaving Oregon for South Dakota , some radical lady started screaming at me that I had to keep my mask on out side. I had just pulled it off after exiting the store. I just kept walking.
Not sure if it was on here or where that someone responded that I should have just beamed her with my purse. Since I carry pretty much 24/7 I think I would have been in really big trouble.
Since it is Texas, any of those people could have been carrying at the time.
I watched about 2 minutes of Officer Tatum’s rant and turned it off the second he stated a known (to me, anyway) falsehood about the shooting. Once that happened anything he had to say was meaningless, as he was just reflexively backing the blue, just like Tom Homan did on Fox News. The problem with police officers is they’re not willing to acknowledge the shortcomings of their peers, and when in the presence of one of their own breaking the law they say nothing. Fact. There simply must be a wholesale change in how police are disciplined, as even “internal affairs” within departments are not honest, imho.
Yes I watched the first few minutes until it was obvious he was defending the police lack of action.
I thought by now that my anger would have subsided. It hasn’t. It’s actually increased. I’ll bide my time. For a week. The full timeline will be verified and known by then. Any longer than that and they are in coverup mode.
One week. And then I will make it my mission to see that every single law enforcement officer that didn’t do their job no longer has a job. Every. Single. One.
Every single one responsible, I’ll make sure has nowhere to hide. Every. Single. One.
It may take the rest of my life. That’s okay. Because this anger is not going away. Not until every single one has paid the price for each unnecessary death. And they were all unnecessary. Every. Single. One.
That is how I feel. They were not LEOs, they were just some idiots wearing a uniform and collecting a paycheck from the city.
School officers are political positions, they are the no show jobs of today’s political mafias. The best men for the job are not being hired.
the teacher that propped open the door (some reports) has some explaining to do but lack of A/C could be a problem
After my 9th b’day, many many decades ago, my family spent some vacation time in a jeep going around the hills on Kelly ranch outside Uvalde, and it is f’g hot.
I’ll wait until the truthful timeline comes out, along with the reason for the door being propped open. I suspect it was their spot to go sneak a smoke. But at this point, we don’t know.
It’s usually in the 90’s with humidity. But that door being propped open is problematic. With illegals being chased, they apparently experienced lockdowns a couple times a week at least.
The bottom line is this. You immediately put yourself between the shooter and the children. You either shoot him or drive him away from the children. And if you die in the process, that’s the price you willingly pay in order to save a child’s life. Period.
But to wait over an hour? I cannot fathom that. Even for a second.
I have NO faith that we will ever be told the correct story.
This is far different from sorting out rumors for facts. This is Government Lying to protect itself.
Which is why I will not in such circumstances sit it out until the authorities get their stories straight.
We won’t get everything figured perfect on our own, true, it will take time and it’s frustrating, but we are capturing their statements and parsing them and crowd-sourcing the investigation that they will screw up and skew in their favor if we leave it to them alone.
Remember when obama changed how disruptive students were to be handled in schools? I forget what it was called, but that directive made it more difficult to keep those repeating kids with bad behavior out of the schools. obama the pariah did and is still doing a lot of things that wreck and destroy. Betty O’Roark is one of his acolytes.
The Promise Program.
Like Las Vegas. Will we EVER hear the truths about that, or the Orlando club?
No they don’t need to protect themselves. This is government lying to harm us.
Agree – this will be another Las Vegas.
I did note how the police outside the school were very effective in keeping the anguished parents in their places.
Yes, they did a great job tasing and cuffing innocent parents because they knew there was no chance one of them would fight back. Too bad the parents didn’t organize themselves, knock the police down, take their guns and save the children. No jury would convict them of anything. Maybe this will be a lesson for future events.
I feel like you do. Pray. Do not let the anger eat you up.
Quite frankly, I doubt that we will ever know the exact, truthful timeline, or all of the truthful facts about this horrendous act. The cover up started the very first day. Maybe, even before.
I believe you may be right. In that case, they all get judged the same.
Except for the Border Patrol. They seem to be the only ones that did their job.
As for the others, they now are equally guilty. The Uvalde police, the US marshals , and the Texas DPS spokesman. Along with the heads of each department.
As for those that say let go of the anger? Not when there are children involved. Not now. Not ever!
We don’t have to be angry to achieve justice – just determined.
wow. Broward County was the LAST SD in FL. to come into compliance w/ the School Safety program.
Dems are Really. Against. protecting children.
Innocents are the means.
Disarm and E N S L A V E
E V E R Y O N E…
Is The End Game
Shocking?
And the Hillary-loving, liberal police chief was fired, only to be re-elected last year. Go figure.
Sheriff not Police Chief. Sheriffs are elected, Police Chiefs are appointed.
The democrats don’t believe in protecting children in the womb or out of the womb. Period.
…….”If they’re shooting at us, they’re not shooting at the children”……
Exact opposite of the TX. response.
This is a fantastic speech.
just like coward Parkland officer -pension and ‘our’ safety first
……” When the threat is there and you dial 911, it’s Too. Late. “……..
Homeschooling would be the best option. If a majority of parents did this, it would put the govt school asylums out of business.
Kids who are in Public and Charter Schools deserve to be protected , tho.
The Florida Program applies to Charter Schools, too.
The private, church and charter schools were THE FIRST to sign up for the school safety program 2 years ago before it was redesigned to the Guardian program.
Homeschooling is an option which my wife and I did with both of our kids. Both are grown and out of school. One very gainfully employed son with a 4 year degree, and one who just completed her semester of college with a 4.0 GPA.
Unfortunately, we still pay taxes to support the public schools, along with taxes for law enforcement. Both are useless where I live.
Not likely to happen, since most can’t find the time to breastfeed
That is a ridiculous statement.
I tried to find the Mark Robinson speech from the NRA conf. yesterday, but couldn’t find it on the 1st few tries.
He made a fantastic case for exactly what FL. has done.
Finally!
This man speaks the Truth.
ha!
Thx for looking- and finding!- Maquis.
Wish you’d been 5 min. earlier. That was a PITA.
Man, they really want to bury this vid.
I guess that means it needs to go VIRAL.
D’oh!
I thought I was there with the save and you already had it! 😝
I just went and got it off one of yesterday’s threads where I recalled seeing it, which, HA, you posted!
I finally did the same, when I realized YT was burying this beyond repair.
Seriously needs to be circulated.
Cus nobody says it better than Mark Robinson.
The police in Ulvalde stood down and a teacher left a door to the school open.
Something very odd about it and certainly more to it.
FOLLOW THE MONEY. How much federal $ have sheriffs, school officials, the gun dealer who sold the guns on credit to a 18 year old with no credit history, etc gotten?
This is a federal government financed false flag.
Where is the link to verify your claim that the store sold the gun on credit? I have never seen a gun dealer do that.
Me either.
One question I have not heard answered – I have not heard that anyone was wounded and taken to the hospital. How could an unexperienced shooter manage to kill all those people and not a single one was wounded?
Common Sense:
The moment schools require armed guards, that’s when homeschooling should begin.
More and more aggressive police in our schools, the problems will start when aggressive police enforce bad (woke) laws and crooked Soros DAs or neutralize political oppositiion, or our children are too inured to a police state.
The Guardians program part sounds better because of the self defense aspects
If schools can find funding to push grooming, gender transitions, CRT, climate change and any other wacko leftist idea, they can find funding for security.
…but security for the children isn’t important to most school boards and CRT is…that’s the problem.
Well, that is why the DOJ decided to target parents at school board meetings against CRT.
I guess.
If we had someone to represent us and ask questions, they would be demanding answers on how well schools have prepared after Parkland.
Absolutely, Republicanvet91.
The biggest school massacre in US history happened in Bath Township Michigan May 18 1927, 38 children and 5 adults died not counting the killer who also died. He did not use guns. Andrew Kehoe a disgruntled school board member spent months putting explosives under the floor of the school. He murdered his wife and horses before he blew up the school. After the timer he set detonated the explosives he showed up with his truck loaded with more explosives killing himself and others.
Banning guns will never stop these stone cold crazy killers. They will always find a way to commit these mass killings.
I have been told that the Japanese did not attempt to invade the West Coast of the US because the American Citizens were to well armed, simply put they owned to many guns and had to much ammunition, well armed Citizens will make any military invasion of the US very difficult.
You don’t mention that Kehoe had also laid charges under the other wing of the school. Evidently the explosion of the first charge disrupted the timer (an alarm clock) for the second one; had both gone off the death toll would likely have more than doubled.
whoah.
Those children in Uvalde didn’t have a chance.
This gets sadder by the day.
And now, the ignorant toolbag will never be held fully accountable for 21 deaths.
Absolute Failure: Uvalde Was Part of AI Program to Root Out Potential School Mass Murderers
It wasn’t a failure, it was a success.
I guarantee it.
As the onion keeps getting peeled back, things get more and more horrific.
Indeed.
Doubtless they have a huge stable of unstable monsters at their beck and call.
Curious if they find the shooter was dropped from this program after he dropped out of school. Or if he was ever surveilled.
I’m sure he was surveilled and known, he was too freaky and open about it to escape notice, and see no reason to believe the Derp State would cease to keep tabs on such a promising subject.
Cruz in Parkland, Florida who was well known to the FBI had already graduated, I truly doubt they ever stop watching their baby monsters.
Leo’s and social services had been to his home 5-6 times as I remember, so he was being monitored.
Rhino Alert
“The second guessing and finger pointing among state and local law enforcement is destructive, distracting, and unfair. Complex scenarios require split second decisions. Easy to criticize with 20-20 hindsight…There will be plenty of time to sort this out later. Focus now should be on through investigation and lessons learned to prevent future tragedies, not finger pointing.”
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX)
Everything about this creature nauseates me.
Sort it out later???
It took them a f’n HOUR to go in!!!
Split second decisions…?
The only time you f’ers do anything in a split Second is when you decide to waste BILLIONS of our tax dollars!!
It’s called the lesser of two evils, the guy he was running against was even worse than Senator Cornball. I call it the evil of two lessers.
Cornyn has been a JACKASS for a very long time!
Go brush your teeth, CS’er.
Auburn University has a fabulous Active Shooter on Campus program. They run seminars at least once a year that every student is encouraged to attend. I went to one. It was one of the best spent 2 hours. They covered a ton of ground and I’ve thought often that they should have talks for the teachers and parents of every school district. It was a life- changing seminar geared completely for Auburn but info useful to any mall, movie theater, church or school.
What I don’t understand about this disaster is the deference to the school district police chief, Arredondo.
I could understand possibly the first few arriving on scene deferring to him, but there were school district police, Uvalde PD, Border Patrol and US Marshals on site at a minimum.
All deferred to this Arredondo clown until BORTAC got on scene and acted.
At what point do other LEO’s from ANY ENTITY recognize the incompetence of whomever is the on-scene commander, and take charge?
If the US Capitol police were grab-assing while an active shooter event was taking place, and the Secret Service showed up, you can bet someone would have acted.
‘Uvalde school district police hosted active shooter training in March’
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/uvalde-school-district-police-hosted-active-shooter-training-in-march
The officer that conducted that training lost his wife in this shooting.
The police chief that enabled this shooting had been to training on the “you go in immediately even if alone” protocol twice in the the past two years.
And that’s all folks. This mystery is done, put a fork in it.
The smarmy weasel who gave at least 40 Billion dollars of our money to Ukraine, should be held to answer why that was more important than our children’s lives.
Take the armed guards protecting him & his group of unctuous creatures away, & put them in our schools!
The best defense against this madness is taking out the perpetrators quickly with as much armed power as needed.
I worked in the regional business office of a major retailer. Every year we had to have ‘compliance’ training; most of the training was for policy and procedure intrinsic to retail but every compliance training session included ‘active shooter’ training – what to do if God forbid, someone (or many someones) came into your area with guns. It is incredibly upsetting to watch those active shooter videos – gosh, I used to dread that every year – because they’re very realistic. They are meant to be – be scared now while you’re watching and be prepared to save your life if anything should happen. Every company should have active shooter training. Period.
If it is made mandatory annually for every business for insurance purposes, then companies will just see employees going through the motions. Complacency that comes from over regulation by OHSA generally tends to be counterproductive
and leads to things like THIS!
Our local paper here in CT today says that many schools here
will start ALICE training… I would have assumed they ALL had
done so after Sandy Hook… But you can look up ALICE
training videos on youtube..basically escape if you can,
if not barricade yourself in, if the shooter gets in fight back
by throwing things at him so you can escape or for older
kids maybe tackle him to the ground. Same can apply
in a work place..the point of throwing things at him is to
distract him long enough to get out or take him down.
It sounds silly but I guess it is true that the person
wouldn;t expect that and it distracts them long enough
to take appropriate action..
I assumes most all schools at least here in CT would already
have ALICE in place..
Throwing chairs and running for the door is what saved congregants at the Synagogue terrorist attack that the Feebs facilitated just a few months ago.
Unfortunately there aren’t enough Sheriff Grady’s in the country.
Real men are aging and unfortunately there aren’t enough youth raised correctly to carry on.
Why is it that American schools are so focused on drag story hours, elementary school porn books in the libraries, boys participating in girl’s sports, classes on proper pronouns, unisex bathrooms, rape culture permitted, and parents on the FBI and CIA’s Domestic Terror lists,
And yet,
No armed guards or Guardians permitted to save lives?
Same with the US military.
WOKENESS is producing a marshmallow society.
WOKENESS is a cruelty metered out to the whole American culture, causing confusion and fear to act or react to any and all situations.
All of these things are elements of a war on America and Humanity.
It’s as simple as that.
Due in large part to the fact that the person heroic enough to act, will, if successful in taking out a threat, be himself arrested and dragged through our liberal court system.
Between the courts, politicians and mainstream media, heroism is being dealt the death blow.
Grady Judd is America’s Sheriff!

Nothing less than The SCOTUS has said the “Police have not duty to protect.”
https://mises.org/power-market/police-have-no-duty-protect-you-federal-court-affirms-yet-again
With the specific job description of “Protect the Kids”, are mercenaries to be hired?
Schumer is opposed to protecting school children because there would be no tragedy to push his extremist/fascist ant-2A political agenda.
I think the schools are lost:
Revisionist history taught
CRT
Open restroom policy
Keeping parents in the dark to hide the indoctrination
Incapable of taking security seriously
Lack of discipline
Failure to expel terrible kids
And disinterested parents actually have delivered this Communistic school system to all.
First rule of any social takeover: Get to the children.
Read history. Tha NaziCrats have!
Fantastic press conference by an extraordinary police officer. This man is a total pro. The other gentleman, who I believe lost a child in the Parkland shooting, is as knowledgable and honest as one could be for a layperson.
.
This Sheriff is so dedicated to his job to train and also share what they’ve done. He is outstanding!
I forwarded this to our friend who is a State policeman.
public executions would stop this BS. show people what happens when they f… around. 50 or 100 public hangings, broadcast on TV. put an end to it fast.
Sheriff Judd is the best, he is straight forward and a no BS man. His program should be mandatory for every single school in the US and funded by the Government. My only question is, how do you know if an Officer will actually confront an active shooter? Two school shootings now and both had officers who wouldn’t confront the shooter. Is it more training or are these communities hiring the wrong people?
Well articulated and I’m sure from the heart !
That being said let’s remember that overwhelmingly all government agencies proclaim not enough funding especially police , fire and schools . Yet they pay well they fund retirement and as for law enforcement agencies from vehicles to helicopters to very expensive ICBW’s
Inter continental ballistic Winnebago crisis command centers yet the business and industry tax base has been decimated and the citizens truly need you but honestly cannot afford you and the people that created all these issues are only funding you now with debt piled on people that cannot take much more . They all lost their benefits and living salaries and are struggling at minimum wage jobs etc …
Being paid by taxpayers (debt) it’s easy to say more funding yet you forget the idiots in DC just gave themselves a 21% raise and borrowed $40 billion to piss away on Ukraine payoffs to weapons contractors etc … wake up call we are on our own
“…I know words will never ease the pain that we are all suffering, but I hope you will join me in taking some solace in knowing that the pain comes from the fact that we all have such deep love for all the victims who have been taken from us, those who are recovering, and those who only time and love will continue to heal.”

Chief of Police

The police chief in other words, thankfully only the children were mortally wounded and no officers.
God Bless you sheriff Judd!
Grady Judd is a tyrant that leads the state in RPOs (red flag laws). He also signed an EMergency Order during the BLM protests that made it illegal for law abiding citizens to even possess a firearm outside of their home, couldn’t buy a firearm or ammunition either.
Ignorant people who only listen to his sound bites love and adore him though.
