Not uncommon at my age, I’ve lost a fair amount of friends during the Covid period, to death I mean, and largely no one is talking about it.
About a year ago my best friend of about 35 years went from healthy to dead in three months. Not a peep from the family about it. My bet is he had to get vaccinated to get some medical treatment and it reactivated an old cancer that had been in remission for over a decade. It’s all fungible. Science.

Interesting, the wet and dry cat foods I stock are holding pretty stable. One specific dry food I bought nearly two years ago for 12.49/7lb is now 14.48 for the same size. I usually keep about two months in stock, plus the cat can hunt in the forest and doesn’t mind people food so the milieu is flexible.
I do note more shortages, outages, and delivery delays though, plus the local store has more empty shelves in the pet area. Signs of the times I guess. Adapt and overcome.
I feed both cats and dogs table scraps plus cheap cuts of meat cooked and cut up. My last cat lived to be 22. All my animals have been long lived. Most dogs made 18.
Also gave them all the pealings from potatoes and leftover veggies and taters.

Left Behind is not biblical. There will be no surprise random beam up. That is nowhere in the bible. Read the guideposts Jesus gave us regarding His coming and the End of the Age – Matthew 24. He says repeatedly to be watchful and not be deceived. He says one is required to have endurance to be raptured. Why would he say all these things if believers will simply be beamed up before anything bad happens.
Compare Matt 24 to the seals of Satan’s tribulation in Revelation 6. The harvest of believers will happen after the 6th seal. The great celestial event then occurs and the judgement of God on the earth dweller starts next with the sequence of 7 trumpets, then 7 bowls.
And no pre-tribulation scholar would suggest a beam up before the rise of “Mystery Babylon” – the worldwide organization of merchants, with a specialty in “pharmakea” that persecutes and kills many believers before anyone even knows who the anti-christ is.
