Yes, thanks. I read that site yesterday when it was posted. Interesting to read the Russian side. Putins demands are really few, primarily that Ukraine (as a buffer between Russia and Europe/NATO) remain neutral and not join NATO.

We have NO reporting from the front, so we can’t really know what is happening.
For all the talk of Russian propaganda, I can find hardly any even when I look for it. What do they say their goals are? What do they say their progress is? But I do see propaganda about seeking peace. (While we say they have moved yet more forces into Ukraine.)
All we get instead is our talking heads claiming they know what Putin’s goals are. And functioning as repeaters of Ukrainian propaganda. With no sense of trying to cut through the hype to establish facts.
We even get daily acknowledgment of Russian advances while saying they are suffering defeats.
I really wouldn’t suggest that you take the one-sided propaganda so literally.
When we finally are allowed to learn it, the Russian side of this story will be fascinating. As trustable as Biden or Ukraine, but the contrast will be illuminating.
I don’t take sides in wars anymore. I taught myself the difference between right and wrong.
Thus is one time where us staying out of it is the smart and prudent thing to do.

I had to weigh the vote in November and who I thought could win then. The Governor race decision was the one I struggled with the most.
New voting machines are interesting. Turn out was steady, only slight 1-2 person wait with all machines occupied.

I voted for Allen West! I have listened to him for years and I trust he will take care of Texas.
NEVER West since he called for the firing of the LEO who arrested his wife for DUI. If West really cared about Texas or wanted to do something good for Texas he would primary cornyn. But west is too interested in staying in Texas to be near his grandson, so he says. So not interested in anything but his own personal interests.
Man, I went round and round between Abbott and West. I like West, but was uneasy about him after he pushed so hard to head the Republican Party here, then abruptly quit after just a few months. I ended up voting Abbott.

You probably would get a little bit more conservative governance from Huffines or West, but I really don’t see a RINO problem with Abbott. I think it boils down to whether you want Republicans to avoid getting bogged down in a runoff (potentially allowing Beto to get some traction) vs. sending a message to the establishment that you want THE most conservative option every time.
I think the real race to pay attention to is A.G. Ken Paxton is without a doubt a strong conservative, but the sleaze factor (bribery indictment, extramarital affair, etc.) appears to be more than the usual Dem manufactured smears. I would hate to see this office fall into Dem hands. I’d just as soon be done with Bushes, so George P is out for me now. Louie Goehmert and Eva Guzman are solid options. This will probably go to a runoff, in which I’d support any of the others against Paxton. I

Abbot was the Texas AG back in 2012 when I had a problem with harrasment from a company based in Texas – having looked online that night about other complaints about the company, I saw that someone had filed a complaint with the Texas AG, just to have it “on the record”. So, I went online and filed a complaint also.
I was so shocked the next day when I picked up my mail and there was an envelope from the Texas AG – they had received my complaint and it was indeed “on the record”. I was most impressed!

They are suggesting the inflation we are facing is all about corporate profits. I won’t go into detail but suffice it to say there were corporate profits when inflation was low. But definitely have the same problem of hanging on in retirement with 1% returns and 10 % inflation.
