This should have been done months and weeks earlier, not hours before heavy armor enters Kiev. Most have never even held a rifle or squeezed a trigger.
Taking potshots at even moderately well trained military units will lead to mass casualties.

Instead of bleating for intervention from America and Europe, Zelensky should have been organizing his civilian citizens moths ago already, if going the military route.

The weapons ought to have been distributed through local police agencies who would be better able to evaluate the character qualities of those being trained in firearms usage and able to weed out criminal trash.

The person in the video is Georgio Lira. I’ve seen him in segments of discussions at TheDuran on locals and youtube among others.
He is a current resident of Ukraine who was in Kiev on business when the conflict started and is stuck in a hotel for now.
He shot a video a day ago of the dining room of his hotel. Apparantly the international press was staying there and doing their news reports from a nearby peaceful square in Kiev.

Was visiting an elderly relative this evening and Fox News was on; non-stop.
It was interesting listening to the different programs how seamlessly (Tucker being a bit recalcitrant in that effort) the Fox talking heads all conveyed the same message of Putin / Russia = bad; Zelensky / Ukraine = good.
There are NO good guys (with the exception of the Ukrainian people) in this very preventable war. Thus, anyone saying we should be there, or providing troops and/or US manned jets is simply a warmonger and murderer.
So, any Republican banging the drum for war should be excommunicated (or preferably tar and feathered). The same goes for any Republican who denies (or who attempts to parse or go sideways about) the 2020 stolen election.
Deny the election was stolen (in any shape, manner or form) and you are disqualified.
I’ve always been wary of absolutists, but in these times, I think it is called for.
