Various posters and news media have called the Canadian police at the bridge today as being “restrained”.
I disagree.
A police force that doesn’t show up to a protest is “restrained”. The police in Seattle during the BLM occupation & burnings were restrained. The police in Kenosha during the violent burnings and lootings were restrained. The border control and ICE on the US southern border have been restrained as people break the law every day entering the US illegally.
However, the police at the bridge today were not restrained. They showed up in force, had weapons and tactical gear, and arrested people. That’s not restraint in my book.
If we lose control of the definitions of our words our Rights will soon follow.
That is the plan.
Maybe the left has it right when they call for defunding the police. 😙
I am all for funding law enforcement organizations.
I am not for funding outfits that are politically motivated and act like the Gestapo.

During BLM civil war in the cities that lasted more than 8 months, the cops were ordered to stand down and they did.
During our peaceful protest they were ordered to go after people and they did.
They ALWAYS just obey orders.

I have law enforcement in the family. There ARE GOOD COPS and to blanket the entire law enforcement community with the bad cop rhetoric does us all a disservice. I’ve watched them sacrifice positions to make sure they are on the right side of the law. I’ve watched them deescalate. I’ve watched them with the “blue flu” and peaceful noncooperation with unrighteous actions. I’ve watched them turn in the bad cops. It might be hard to see them, but they are there and there are many. I’m not justifying anything that’s going on right now. I’ll spit on a bad cop faster than anyone. I’m just making the point that we should not demonize them all. Please. That is exactly what the Left is doing to anyone and everyone who won’t go along to get along. Not fussing at you Kleen. Just need to say it here.
If they obey an order because it is politics, not because it is a right, that makes them bad cops. The good ones will not obey orders just to harm physically the people they are supposed to protect. They will only harm or hurt those who are hurting others (in other words criminals not politicians) when the “leaders” decide it is OK to hurt whoever they want – cause they don’t like what they are doing, or cause the higher ups say to do so….just because their “leader” happens to be on the other side of the political spectrum.
Also, people always thing their friends and family are the good cops, teachers, politicians, etc. etc. They have no idea what their friends and family do on the job day to day.

The issue that needs intensive scrutiny is when and why did it become illegal and controversial for doctors to debate science?

For 100 years since 1917, socialist governments (Communist, NAZIS, Fascists, et al) eventually get around to embedding Political Officers all the way down to Company equivalent level of command. Below that level there are representatives appointed.
Poltical officers often were given the right to veto OPERATIONAL commands issued by Unit Leaders, or remove them.
Political officers were also responsible for reporting on the political reliability of leaders in a unit and overall reliability of units.
From the dust bin of history: Premier Nakita Khrushchev (USSR) was a high ranking Commissar (Political Officer) in WWII and assigned to the Southern Fronts 1941-43. He made his bones at the front “inspiring units, troops and leaders”. Those not “sufficiently inspired” he personally shot or ordered shot. He was inside and around Stalingrad in 1942. Well, a story may be breaking that another lab, this one in the UK, commissioned by Dr Michael Yeadon and colleagues, found graphene oxide, which is toxic, in vials of Pfizer and Moderna. Not yet fully confirmed but I’ll keep you posted.

The SarsCov-2 world wide pandemic continues; but, the origin of the virus
creating it remains unknown. Two years of effort by the best science
minds on the planet and still no answer. It is a stunningly obvious
failure.
No one can say, however, that science has been a complete failure.
Collectively, scientists have concluded that the Sarscov2 origin issue has
two possibilities: (1) either lab creation or (2) created out of nature.

Given the mayhem and destruction inflicted by the pandemic, itself, mothered
by this thing called Sarscov2, the scientific uncertainty buried in these
two conclusions is repulsive. And hard to swallow.
What’s even more repulsive is, despite the continuing pandemic, the origin
issue is slowly becoming a non issue. The science minds supporting either of
the two origin options seem content to let the origin issue just fade away.
That is even harder to swallow.
Does the truth have to be a choice between the two ways offered up by
science, i.e., lab or nature? Or can there have been another way that cov2
was created – a third way?
To get at that possibility, it’s necessary to go back to the covid launch
period – late December 2019 – early January 2020 and take a look at how
cov2 was first, created, then, how it morphed into a world wide pandemic.
Seems appropriate to start with the creator himself.
The person who put the virus, sarscov2, into motion was a man from China by
the name of Yong-Zhen Zhang.
That’s a name very few people have heard of – and for good reason. Mr.
Zhang’s participation in the creation of cov2 during the launch period,
(12/2019-1/2020) was overshadowed by the media spotlight lavished on his
fellow countryman, virologist, Shi Zhengli.
Shi Zhengli was, and remains, a high profile, made to order, media villain.
She worked at a sinister weapons biolab in Wuhan, China. She did research on
deadly virus producing, ugly, threatening things called bats. The media gave
her the ominous title of batwoman. And her media photos made her appear
almost menacing, often picturing her in a laboratory, surrounded by exotic
looking instruments while encased in some clumsy, kind of space suit
looking, thing.
Yong-Zhen Zhang, on the other hand, was made to order for anonymity.
He was a virologist working at a hospital in Shanghai and who probably sat
at a desk most of the time working with his computer.
Despite their different work sites, they both played a role in creating
cov2.

They have also installed turnstiles at the entrance to thwart the gangs who grab and exit. While I have not seen that in our immediate area, stores are starting to take action to stem the tide of theft.
