Previously, Treepers in the US, in their enthusiasm have urged US truckers convoy to “get going”, and I have posted “patience, francis” responces, expressing in a general way my reticence for such a move.
However, now that one has been announced, I have pondered it, and want to share my reservations.
The Canadian truckers had a huge tactical advantage.
I really think JT and advisors THOUGHT;
“Only 10 percent of truckers aren’t vaxxed,..ergo this is a ‘small, fringe group’ and we can easily dismiss them.
Hence, they didn’t make the effort to put together a ‘false-flag’ operation, like we saw on J6.
So, element of SURPRISE.
Secondly, listening to the Police commission meeting, the total law enforcement force in Canada is stretched to the breaking point.
They can NOT bus in 1000 officers from other areas, cause those areas are totally expending all their officers on addressing the convoy in THEIR area.
Neither of these will be the case, in the U.S.
Whitmer let it slip; they won’t let it get that far, she said. And they will use “whatever means neccesary” including force, to shut it down KNOWING that if it gets to the point it has in Canada, THEY are lost.

I wrote something similar yesterday on main resistance thread. I personally think we have missed our opportunity. There is a lot of bravado here and on other sites, but one cannot underestimate how effective J6 has been at intimidating Americans. I don’t think Nancy’s ongoing J6 “investigation” is as much about Donald Trump as it is about public intimidation. She wants to remind us daily of their power and willingness to kill, imprison and torture any resistance.
Because of this, in many ways the US is farther down the road to all out totalitarianism than Canada was/is. The show of force has not happened there yet. People still believe in “rule of law” to a greater extent. They are not terrified of protesting because they have not been imprisoned in a public gulag yet. The Canadian truck convoy is a remarkable development. It has terrified the ruling elites not just in Canada, but here in the USA, and across the world. It is a genuine workers’ revolt, without the guillotines. It is driven by many of the same themes we saw in the DC January 6 “revolt,” but much better organized, and, above all, focused. It is a brilliant act of political theater, and we see the Canadian and US ruling elites unable to formulate a response, except to threaten with brute force.
I watched much of the debate in the Canadian Parliament, and I found the acting leader of the opposition, Candice Bergen, as impressive as the government ministers were not. The PM, Fidel Castro’s son, in particular, seemed unable to answer legitimate questions and relied on stale talking points in response to Bergen’s pointed barbs. There is something to be said for the parliamentary form of debate which proves much more lively, and requiring a quick wit, than our rather stilted and overly regimented Congressional “debates.”

We will be left without the legal protections to stop them from doing this to us again after the truckers go home. All it will take to put us back in a cage is for the government to point at the next wave, the next virus variant, or the next non-Covid emergency.
We will have normalized that our rights, our freedoms, our bodily autonomy, and even access to our lives are conditional privileges, subject to opinion polls and technocratic impulses, and that they can be withdrawn again at any time, “for our safety.”

Ha ha, stupid policies have consequences. NY Gov begging people to go back to work essentially so property taxes can be paid. NY gets ~$30 billion a year from property taxes, they need the skyscrapers of NYC to be filled with commuters.
This NYC business owner does a good job explaining why a lot of people prob aren’t gonna go back to the office ever. People had been wanting to do remote work for a long time, but as he points out why would a business who is successful do a drastic change to try something? Well, the government forced them to try it and invest in the infrastructure. Some businesses found they could thrive and save a lot of money a month. They ain’t gonna go back to “normal” so the state can collect tax revenue.
He also does a good job pointing out how some businesses and people are now scared due to the rhetoric used in the early pandemic – “if it just saves one life” oddly as he points out, we don’t hold that to other things in society.
