Noting: . FLCCC I mask + protocol lists IT (the ONLY monoclonal antibody therapy they do list). They updated the I mask + protocol to include strovimab. (protip: as this pandemic continues, it is important to visit the FLCCC and notice any changed they have made to the I Mask + protocol. Many changes have been made wrt “second line” recommendations.
This group of experts in therapeutic treatment of cccp19 will continue to update the protocols as they continue to investigate and determine other drugs that are safe and effective.

Fyi, sotrovimab will only mitigate symptoms. It will not cure. Straight from the horses mouth.
I don’t think anyone is suggesting CURES…it’s an effective treatment for mild to moderate symptoms ALL THE WAY UP TO SEVERE. Which is to say, its highly effective at all stages of infection.
What makes this drug interesting is that it was formed from a SARS-cov-1 recovered patient (2014!….suggesting the highly durable and long lasting nature of this SPECIFIC antibody which they isolated…a recovered patient who was first infected in 2003!)…and if I got the information correct (please investigate), this particular antibody does targets a specific structure of the spike protein, a fundamental structure of these classes of coronaviruses…the RBD. (alas, it works equally well for sars-cov-1 AND sars-cov-2). This is why it is effective to any variant known…all variants have an RBD that is largely conserved structure. This was true with sars 2003 and it is also true with sars 2019.
And by targeting that structure, it doesn’t matter what variant you might have! (the spike protein structure accounts for the vast genomic shifts in cccp19, which explains why the vaccines and many other antibody therapies do not work. They all target spike protein, and not any other structure. Strovimab targets RBD, a common and highly conserved structure of the virus across ALL variants.
. it’s quite remarkable and more than just unsettling to learn this was KNOWN well before ccp19 first transmitted. I don’t know the backstory on why this drug was ignored/delayed and only recently gained enough attention to get approval from the FDA, but then again, nothing so far indicates the FDA is operating with any level of credibility and clarity.
In the interest of making sure we are not confusing people, I recommend we NOT parse words and inject “cures” in this discussion..the FLCCC does not use that non scientific word..and by using it, might make others have this notion that it isn’t worthwhile to look into and request if they are feeling unwell and not responding to the first line agents recommended by FLCCC. Strovimab is SECOND LINE AGENT. People are naturally inclined to WANT CURES, but the reality is that a drug will have a range of outcomes, but cures, is not one of them. It may work wonderfully for one person and result in virus free and restore health, and with others, not so much. But it IS the best monoclonal therapy available, and there is no doubt it works very well and is safe. I trust the FLCC …they would NOT be making the recommendation unless due diligence showed them evidence they could verify.

How many here know monoclonal antibodies are made in Hek193 cells? How many know what HEK193 cells are and what the number represents.
HEK means human embrio cells. the number represents how many babies had their organs taken out while they were alive, to make up the cell bath.
