This is the message that matters. In this monologue Neil Oliver walks through the history of humankind while weaving the important message of Christmas and the hope that is Christ’s birth.
I cannot recommend this review strongly enough, in part because Neil Oliver and I are -without any connection- mirroring each other. Which, I will admit is simultaneously odd and comforting, in a way that only affirmation from a guided messenger can provide. Enjoy:
“Hope is the one necessary human element beyond all other facets of life.”
~ Sundance
What a calm voice in the storm is Neil. God truly bless him.
The British “conservative” government is going to start going door with Covid jabbers, hunting down those who so far have refused to bow down to the Globalist government which apparently rules them now.
I expect that calm but resolute voice will be needed more than ever.
Possibly, but as an ex soccer hooligan in my troubled youth.
The Conservative government will struggle greatly.
If you haven’t seen it, The Gateway Pundit has posted an article and a video of Scottish Soccer fans chanting a wonderful tune.
I am now in my early sixties and if I was in the stands with them I too would be singing “ you can stick your f**king boosters up your arse, you can stick your f**king boosters up your arse.
As would my two brothers, and my mates.
Cheers!
I’ve always admired the Scots for their bold in your face epithets. I KNOW you’d be there joining them, and it’s always nice to have company. No Hogmanay this year apparently. I don’t know how Little Crankie dare tell the land of Billy Connolly to stay home and forget it.
Cheers, Dekester. Merry Christmas. You and your brothers and mates can shout that lovely chant from Canada. I bet they’ll hear it in your bless-ed homeland just fine.
Nice!
It really is quite the chant.
I first heard it a couple of days ago.
If Americans could copy it, and meld it in with the Let’s Go Brandon chant.
The MSM would “melt”!
How about “ You can stick your Brandon boosters up your arse”?
Silly, maybe. But IMO it’s quite catchy.
Cheers!
It wouldn’t sound the same with an American accent methinks.
Very true!
I my Scots accent is still strong..
As you know the key is too roll the r’s.
I just said it out loud for the first time..and the five words with an R in them rhyme perfectly.
I am off to bed now, singing my new chant.
Goodnight and may your god go with you.
And with you, good sir. All blessings to you, your family, your brothers and your mates😊. May the New Year be kind to you and all stuck in your Canadian gulag. He is with you…of this I am certain.
I’m Scotts-Irish; they are my people! It’s in my DNA to resist this madness!!
I’ve seen it (heard it via video) in Australia! So, it could take an American accent as well — maybe along with a Bronx cheer!! Or an “Up your nose with a rubber hose” kind of attitude! LOL!
Hahaha!! Much more American.
Spreading that!
Tis in the spirit of “Wi a hundred pipers ”
https://www.songlyrics.com/steve-mcdonald/wi-a-hundred-pipers-lyrics/
I love the pipes, ian. The lyrics are extremely stirring.
My husband wore the full dress regalia, his family’s tartan, here for our daughter’s wedding in Texas. Oh my! As we were flying from Britain, he couldn’t bring his sgian-dubh. But as he wouldn’t be fully dressed without it, we had to find one when we arrived. And luck was with us. We found a store in Dallas, which when we explained that we needed it for one night only, sold it to us but said if we brought it back the next day, he’d refund us. What a generous gesture. So a loan with a deposit really.
Bravo, Scotland! As Dekester said, I bet there are Scots the world over who would have given the world to be in those stands. The spirit of Wallace lives on.
🤣😂💪👍
That’s the ‘We are the 99%’ fighting song they sing at the marches for freedom in the UK. It is fantastic!
Whenever I hear of lockdowns in London, I always ask myself, “Where are the infamous British hooligans? And why are they putting up with this and not taking to the streets?”
An exceedingly good question. It’s just not like them at all.
Rest assured , you won’t be singing alone!!

In addition to Mr. Oliver’s popular history and archaeology books:
I stumbled across him about 10 years ago while researching my dream trip of a life time to the lands of my ancestors (Scotland and Denmark). His voice is like music to my ears.
Did you make your trip? Thanks for posting, really nice.
Not yet, now maybe never because I won’t get the vax. It will be a 3-4 week trip. I will just keep putting money in my trip fund for now.
I hope you make it. Scotland is beautiful. I was lucky enough to live in England when my army officer dad was stationed there for a for a few years in the late 60s and we had a great time in Scotland. A paternal great grandmother was a McGregor and we found Rob Roy’s cabin from which I took a piece of wood, imagining it to be from his time. While trying to find the place, some road workers we queried for help wondered why in the world anyone would be looking for it. But it was important to me.
Scotland & Denmark, me too on my Mother’s side of the Family. Neil Oliver is new to me but he sure seems familiar. God’s Blessings to You & Your’s …
Scotland on mom’s side (Douglas), Fyn Denmark, on dad’s side (Petersen).
Hope you are able to make the trip someday. Am very fortunate to have been to Scotland once for about two weeks. Can’t imagine that there can be a more beautiful place on the face of this earth. Was also fortunate enough also to have seen Your castle (Douglas). Haven’t had the pleasure of seeing Denmark … maybe someday. (Too many surnames to list … lot’s of Warriors {Highlanders & Hussars} … am a wee bit ashamed of my tameness :^))
There is one just as beautiful, George…little Wales. Stunning and my home for 20 years. But there is just something about Scotland that takes the breath away, no question.
Hope to see it someday as well. God’s Blessings to You & Yours …
And to you, sir. Blwyddyn Newydd Dda (Happy New Year)!
Wow! Thanks for that. I had no idea he was a prolific writer.

Neil Oliver, what a beautiful heart…and a timeless message.
What a superb message! Love this man and especially his story of the letters of lost hope he receives, reads and keeps. A great humanitarian.
Amen
Many are glad that doctors found and recommended immunity boosting therapeutics to ‘certainly’ counter an unwanted man made virus.
Many can ‘hope’ that other citizens and medical practioners can find windows of truth sharing thru the varied censorship barrier$ in order to find more ‘certainty’ of healing – and to become less dependent on the continued gene therapy experimentation$ ( sold as vaccine injection$, continued booster$) on humans.
Credit over the years to Dr. David Martin, Cole, McCullough, Malone, Kory, Zalenko, and so many others…to not only gain the know how, but to also find a myriad of communication avenues including CTH/ medical practioners to share with others and prescribe the appropriate doses, case by case
.
Thank you for the gift.
One might hope that US renowned best health care system would become more a front door, open system that does no harm to patients…instead of the current time consuming myriad of seeking 3 or more medical opinions (‘hopefully’ one whom is not who, nih beholden) to gain insights so as to healthily move forward and to constructively be able to focus and help others ( work, joy, family ).
It is wonderful that a person was born, and whose life here meant so much to so many people, that we fondly remember and appreciate the person, 2022+ years, AD, later – and the goodness continues. Hope can spring us to certainties and eternal…
Merry Christmas….
Love thy neighbors
James 2:22
Poem on Hope by Emily Dickinson
“Hope” is the thing with feathers-
That perches in the soul-
And sings the tune without the words-
And never stop-at all-
And sweetest-in the Gale-is heard-
And sore must be the storm-
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm-
I’ve heard it in the chillest land-
And on the strangest Sea-
Yet, never, in Extremity
It asked a crumb-of Me.
I’d forgotten this one, Elizabeth. I’m so glad you did not. Simple, sweet, and yes, eternally hopeful.
The mirroring is not odd when you consider that we resistors are Spirit led and do not need a human leader.to collectively act in unison in the same direction.
Spirit led, those who need no man teach them.
I needed that, didn’t even realize how much. Now I know, because the tears on my face make it undeniably clear.
In order to not go under in all the despair, I’ve been focusing the last many months on my 3Rs – Resistance, Reckoning, Retribution. Hardening my soul for the fight to come, while at the same time beginning to fear there was very little of what’s truly human left inside. Reconciled to it as a necessary sacrifice, but hoping some small kernel of it would survive nevertheless.
This simple message broke the dam inside me. I’ve never been more thankful to be made to cry.
Unexpected tears I’m sure. I’ve had many of those this Christmas season. The truth he speaks is in his eyes. It’s always in the eyes.
Hope lies in salvation, that in Jesus we may find forgiveness and eternal life.
With that, we can shake the fear of death. Such fear is the universal grip kings and tyrants wield to turn freemen into slaves.
God sent us his only son. Christ changed all that so that we may choose to love life in this world yet not fear the next. This is why the kings and tyrants will tolerate all but Christianity – the hope of life.
Rhetorical question: Do any of the commenters here talk about anything other than vaccines and Covid and mandates?
I think some here saw these things immediately as chains and shackles of a universal slavery being forged. Others sense the danger yet teeter between ignoring the ugly reality, and facing it. Others still intend to distract us from the truths with fear and confusion.
There are serious concerns OTHER than vaccines. That is the point.
I agree our enemies are using this to distract us. At the same time, digging beyond the propaganda has opened many eyes to the roots causes of the evil behind the other fronts of the war being waged.
They’re doing exactly as their partners in our communist gov’t instruct them……………

About a month or so ago, a commenter mentioned the possibility of a dedicated thread (like our daily two) for comments re: all things C19. I ‘liked’ that idea. I still believe it’s a good idea.
I like that idea too, although I would bet that they would still talk about C19 on the other threads too. Even when we tell people not to talk about politics on a thread about religion (for example), they still do it.
I been talking to others about inflation. Just paid my auto insurance. Retired now so I’m not driving every day like I was. But a hundred dollar increase is irritating. On the other side , talking with family and friends about sports , travel, garden, and always the weather. Merry Christmas Stella. I’m looking toward next year. I got some miles to travel on the bike.
Yeah, in real life the bioweapon hardly comes up. I prefer to operate quietly and use the cover as a bumbling old fool to my advantage.
Topically, corporate fascism and economic manipulation, corruption avarice and greed have been far more pervasive subjects over the decades, all the way back to Watergate. Got labeled an anarchist along the way. Enemies doing what enemies do. Nothing new. Covid is simply a brilliant weapon they’ve used this time. Impressive.
I’ll be impressed if around at Christmas next year. Bucking the regime can be deadly. We’ve seen plenty of that.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you, Neil, and thank you Sundance.
LOVE YOU, MAN…
Thank you very much for posting Dickinson’s poem. I am wondering if someone could add an “s” to the word “stop” in the 4th line! I feel so badly that I did not catch the error. I tried to find a way to edit the post but could not.
I must say I appreciate The Conservative Treehouse very, very much. The analyses are excellent. In our world it is difficult to find reason and faith working so well together.
I feel much gratitude for all that you give to those who venture to your site virtually every day.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth
Thank you, Sundance!
“May the roads rise with you,
may the wind be always at your back,
and may GOD hold you in the hollow
of his hand.”
Brought up on this prayer, knew it from early childhood.
To all Treepers, Christmas: Proof we are loved!
One of my long time favourites, Jori.
We have testimony that God raises up men in times such as these to fan the flames of love, hope and faith( in Him of course.)
Jesus said “I will not leave you as orphans but will come again to gather you that where I am you may be also.
We must have the darkness in order to appreciate the light.
So then we hope for the qualities of what lights brings when it returns.
Because we know that God is light and He has already overcome this world of darkness.
It is said into the darkness a great light has shone and men have seen and have come to it.

Protocols for leaving
https://www.davidwarrenonline.com/2021/12/24/protocols-for-leaving/
The Hope Experiment: During a brutal study at Harvard in the 1950s, Dr. Curt Richter placed rats in a pool of water to test how long they could tread water. On average they’d give up and sink after 15 minutes.
But right before they gave up due to exhaustion, the researchers would pluck them out, dry them off, let them rest for a few minutes – and put them back in for a second round.
In this second try – how long do you think they lasted?
Remember – they had just swam until failure only a few short minutes ago…
How long do you think?
Another 15 minutes?
10 minutes?
5 minutes?
No!
60 hours!
That’s not an error.
That’s right! 60 hours of swimming.
The conclusion drawn was that since the rats BELIEVED that they would eventually be rescued, they could push their bodies way past what they previously thought impossible.
I will leave you with this thought:
If hope can cause exhausted rats to swim for that long, what could a belief in yourself and your abilities, do for you?
That was the experiment that inflicted upon the dogs of Richard Adams’ wonderful “The Plague Dogs”. They never lost hope, either.
He said much that is true. He always does.
But he left out the hope that is greatest by far in scope and in time length — for it is infinite and eternal. The gospel of Jesus of Christ.
The ONLY reason that the Christmas holiday (holy day) even exists is to recognize that the God who created us and everything else actually wrote himself into the real story he was unfolding in history. He became human by having himself birthed into the human race. “He took on human flesh and walked among us.”
Jesus Christ came for one primary purpose: To die for OUR sins. As the Bible says, no one actually seeks God. All are rebels. Everyone is a wretched sinner who justifies their evil deeds by pointing out the good they do. But even their “good” is “filthy rags” per the Bible, because our good works have mixed motives, especially to earn a favorable view from others and ourselves. That is called “self-righteousness” and we see and despise it in others but blind ourselves to our own.
In our sin we are no better than any other sinful person. Not Ted Bundy. Not Hitler. God doesn’t grade on a curve. If you don’t live a life of perfection from birth to death then it’s hell for eternity. A perfect life includes not just your actions but your very words — and thoughts. Jesus said that if you even call another person a fool in your disgust at him, you are guilty of murder in God’s sight. If you fantasize sexually about a beautiful person, Jesus said you are an adulterer as much as if you had physical sex with that person.
The Bible says that money, marriage, family, work, nature, etc. are all very good things (that he provides) and you can pursue, enjoy and love them. Indeed, you are commanded to love and protect your family even to the cost of your own life. To be a good law-abiding citizen of your nation. Etc. But if any of this is your PRIMARY purpose in life, it is a false idol and you place it ahead of God. In God’s eyes, NO ONE is better than anyone else. ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and deserve eternal damnation. Everyone is a liar, murderer, adulterer, thief, etc.
If any of the above words offend you, then what you feel is known as “the offense of the Cross.” The sinful pride — that says to yourself and to those around you that you are a good person intrinsically — is the great lie the Devil desperately wants you to believe. Because then you won’t recognize the depth of your sin, repent, and turn to Christ. He became human — incarnate to live a perfect human life that only a perfect God could do. And to credit that life to sinners so that God sees that perfect life instead of the sinful ones they lived. And Jesus takes YOUR sinful life and presents it to the Father as if it were his own — suffers your cosmic eternal penalty on your behalf — while also on the cross being tortured physically. And when he was resurrected into new life, he became the “first fruits” of everyone who trusted in his saving grace and will be resurrected with him in the future.
That is why Christmas exists. To celebrate God coming into the world for THAT purpose. Not to teach you to obey the Golden Rule — because you really can’t even if you think you do.
O great God of highest heaven
Occupy my lowly heart
Own it all and reign supreme
Conquer every rebel power
Let no vice or sin remain
That resists Your holy war
You have loved and purchased me
Make me Yours forevermore
I was blinded by my sin
Had no ears to hear Your voice
Did not know Your love within
Had no taste for heaven’s joys
Then Your Spirit gave me life
Opened up Your Word to me
Through the gospel of Your Son
Gave me endless hope and peace
Help me now to live a life
That’s dependent on Your grace
Keep my heart and guard my soul
From the evils that I face
You are worthy to be praised
With my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven
Glorify Your Name through me
You are worthy to be praised
With my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven
Glorify Your Name through me.
We are commanded to love others. Not just our family. And our friends. But even our enemies who wish us harm. Do you love and pray for the members of Antifa? Nancy Pelosi? Kathy Griffin? George Soros? Of course not, because we are sinners, too. Yet Jesus died for us even as God sees us as guilty as Antifa. Or the Nazis. Or the Khmer Rouge. The Apostle Paul was the greatest persecutor of the young Christian church when the resurrected Christ appeared to him on the Damascus road, converted him to Christianity and turned him into the greatest evangelist FOR the gospel he had previously opposed.
Take all the great Christmas carols as rhyming prose without hearing the melodies. All the verses of each song.
God rest ye merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
Remember Christ our
Was born on Christmas Day;
To save us all from Satan’s power
When we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy!
From God our heavenly Father
A blessed angel came;
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tiding of the same;
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name.
“Fear not, then,” said the angel,
“Let nothing you affright;
This day is born a Savior
Of a pure virgin bright,
To free all those who trust in him
From Satan’s power and might.”
Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
this holy tide of Christmas.
Doth bring redeeming grace.l
you’ve said what needed to be said, thank you. i needed a reminder. He is the only reason for this season.
light conquered the dark, and the dark was sorely afraid. AYah, virus remarks are out of place? I think not, it’s a perfect example of light vs dark, it wouldn’t have been in the past, but we seem to be so weak now on a spiritual level that it almost seems like fantasy. Thanks again, and may you have a happy new year.
But what is Hope? Nothing but the paint on the face of Existence; the least touch of truth rubs it off, and then we see what a hollow-cheeked harlot we have got hold of. Lord Byron.
Sitting in Edinburg eating breakfast this morning, and my wife brings in the Sunday paper.
Front page headline in the Sunday Telegraph today:
“‘Dodgy Data’ Used In Push For Tighter Restrictions”.
Holy Moly – can this really be the MSM?
The Health Minister, Sajid Javid, has been caught LYING to the UK public – claimed there was a 17-day lag between patients being infected and requiring hospitalization.
However, independent experts pointed to data from Office for National Statistics, which states that the average delay is 9 to 10 days!!
Javid was spouting a Dr. Jenny Harries, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency, who believes(?) that Omicron ‘is the most significant threat since the start of the pandemic’.
She/they were trying to gin up fear, but the data wasn’t cooperating. They thought no one would notice. But they did.
LOL.
Just Friday, Javid was been touted as the replacement for Boris!
Awesome just awesome Neil! Thank you Sundance for his message of hope out of our dark days of the Covid plandemic/ political tyranny/& divided families & friends. God bless Neil- a true treasure.
Thank you, Sundance.
I’m smiling!
Sundance, recognizing up front that I could be wrong, as I have never met you or Mr. Oliver, it occurs to me that the “mirroring” could be in part because he has been reading here for several years as many of us have, and gained strength and comfort from your words, and decided to stand up.
Sundance thank you for posting this message. I almost missed it as it showed up below the open thread which I read this morning. Would it be possible to post Neils message again this week…maybe it is just my iPad that did this but if others missed this it would be a shame.
God bless us all. Keep hope, keep faith. Keep humility and above all…love one another.
I really like this guy. Thank you SD for continuing to post his packages.
Thank you Sundance for posting the Neil Oliver Christmas Message. Am sending it far and wide among family and some friends knowing full well some might choke and experience the phenomenon of cold water “Shrinkage” when they hear what he has to say.
It’s a duh for me that you relate to Neil Oliver. Thank you for the Comfort, Joy, and Hope you have brought to me all these years.
