I’m on day 7 of my initiation into the Natural Immunity club (took a home test yesterday – very pleased that it was positive). It’s been interesting to say the least. It’s kind of a weird hybrid of a bad cold and a mild flu. Knew what it was when I lost taste and smell suddenly – taste actually came back but smell is still all gone.
Unlike many of my friends who arrogantly assume their vaccines protect people they encounter, I’m practicing common courtesy in not going out until symptom-free.
Overall, I’ve basically behaved about this illness exactly as I would have about any illness in the before times. I never went into an office when I was sick. Luckily I’m retired now and can deal with this very effectively. Time for another round of D, C, Zinc, Quercetin, etc. Added melatonin last night – it helped.
Have always stayed at home most of the time. Never been a goer or a doer. Preferred home so that DH used to call and tell me to meet him at such and such for lunch…..otherwise, I’d stay out of town all together (unless I was working and had to go). The lock down(s) didn’t have much impact on me as the only time I leave is to buy food anyhow. Now, I’m stockpiled pretty well, so don’t need to even to that except for getting Dog Food for my newly adopted shelter dog…..Lost the last one after 17 years, and couldn’t stand to be without a critter.

I could use some prayers today. I need to announce I will be leaving work to my team of roughly 40 people today. My company is going forward with the vaccine mandate, will not allow testing and is denying religious accommodations for anyone who needs to work on site. And that means my only choices are to take the shot and break my faith principles or to leave. So I will leave. My soul is not for sale.
Unfortunately, because I’m in a leadership position, I’m not allowed to say why I’m leaving, only that I’m leaving. HR will be there as a minder. Nor can I take any questions. All very Orwellian to me, but since my leadership doesn’t exactly know how they will replace me yet, they don’t want to field any questions.
I’ve been with my team over 20 years. Leaving will be hard. And I’ve no idea if I can find a place that will not force me to take a shot. In a crazy blue state and can’t move. But I am hopeful with the recent court injunctions, I can find an employer in my niche field with the sense to drop the mandate.
My husband is upset with me and can’t understand why I just won’t take the shot and am instead willing to throw away my career. I’m just putting this in God’s hands and trusting He will lead me where I need to go.
Anyway, prayers to help me through this would be much appreciated.

Everyone around him told him No! would be my guess.
Yes, Julian Assange and Edward Snowden should both have been pardoned. The deep state was manipulating Trump on the vaccine and the people Trump trusted (aka Pence) probably did not recommend pardoning either of these men. Unfortunate. But it occurs to me that President Trump was able to accomplish many good things, but not everything he wanted, because he was a newby to Washington.
