I saw a video 2 days ago of a group called patriot front marching in DC. Yesterday I saw a video of that group loading into a uhaul truck. It looked like feds to me but when I post my opinion on that I got a lot of push back.
Well this morning, upon further inspection of the uhaul video, I see the “patriots” loading into the truck when they first start loading and the interior light comes on you can see for about a second the floor of the truck is covered in US Flags and as they load they walk right on top of these unfolded US Flags laying on the floor.
These are “patriots”?

The Wikipedia page on Defunct American Political Parties is quite interesting. Over these many years, many parties have called themselves “Democratic Party.” The party which uses this name today is not necessarily the successor of the one that began the KKK and other civil rights atrocities. Political history is much more complicated than that … names do get changed, and recycled.
Yet the Wikipedia “Democratic Party” page says that the modern party traces its roots all the way back to 1830 and Andrew Jackson. That seems to contradict your suggestion it was a different party who founded the KKK.

I learned today that the group was founded by a young man named Tom Rousseau who was able to get control of the vanguard website just prior to the Charlottesville protest that became famous. After that he left vanguard and started patriot front.

Part of the broader alt-right movement, the group split off from Vanguard America in 2017 in the aftermath of the Unite the Right rally.” Wikipedia also says patriot front is the leading white supremacist group in the country.
The leading white supremacist group in the country was just allowed to march through DC with a police escort, but if you protest your vote being stolen they lock you up indefinitely. There do seem to be a lot of very young men associated with this movement.

I think it’s never just 1 thing they’re trying to accomplish. This particular story has people on one side questioning the reality of it and calling them feds, while the other side is attacking anyone calling these guys feds by saying if you do anything other than complain online you must be a fed, calling them names and vulgarities and other things to that effect.
My honest opinion is this was done to divide the right. Maybe they can say look at the new modern form of the kkk with the white masks, idk that has yet to come to my attention. What I do see is division happening on a massive scale.
I am trained to notice details. The details I noticed are that the guys marching were all wearing khakis but they weren’t all the same, they all had combat boots on just like my Bellevilles but not all identical, and the shields were identical. Now a uniform doesn’t make them feds, but they did have a camera crew with them dressed alike and the DC police, who usually imprison patriots gave these guys an escort. Also they’re carrying US flags, this to me signifies they see them as important, but do they? Later these guys get into an empty truck, empty except for a pile of wrinkled US flags. If the flags were folded and spilling out of a box I could let it slide. This don’t jive. Why carry the flags if you don’t care about them? If you do care about them, why didn’t you store them properly according to the flag code of etiquette?
All of it together doesn’t add up so in my opinion this is a set up for something. Maybe it’s just more division. Maybe they’re testing our response. Maybe they’re trying to provoke other groups to do this without federal support. Seems to have backfired but maybe I’m in a bubble

I’m a lifelong Virginian who has seen my beloved Commonwealth destroyed by the come heres in NOVA and find the residents in the Loudoun area particularly egregious as they move out there to avoid all the crap they vote for every election cycle. Prior to the lefty come heres, Leesburg and Loudoun were the home of the RINOs – basically they’ve always sucked.
There’s also the issue of feeling your soul die a little when you drive through. As you can tell, I really loathe that area of the Commonwealth.

My husband and I Are Virginia born and bred. Left the Commonwealth in August and moved to Florida. No longer proud to be a Virginian. Thankful to be out of there.

We moved from Fairfax County to Southern Indiana. My wife had been a life long resident of Falls Church. The property taxes were so high we couldn’t afford to live there in our retirement. The property taxes here are less that 1/10 of what they were in Falls Church and we actually get value from our tax dollars.
The final Straw was increasing the road easement from 15′ to 40′, in the front and side, making our lot unbuildeble for new construction and devaluing the market value of our retirement investment property, overnight, by almost 100k, to build “bike lanes”.
The easement was accomplished fait accompli .

But I can speak about local cops I know of who have the same things said about them. And to some extent it is true. Yet I have hard evidence some of these same police officers who would put their lives on the line to drag a baby out of a burning car will also gladly withhold exculpatory evidence and fudge their police reports in a fairly routine manner when it comes to disapproved people. (And I do not mean race)
People aren’t either angels or demons. They are both at the same time. And your family, if it is like most, doesn’t spend Thanksgiving listen to your uncle talk about how he faked some evidence last week to conform to his “gut feeling.”

I live in Middleburg VA (Loudoun Count) which is about 20-30 minutes south of Leesburg. My husband and I went to a local brewery on Saturday afternoon. Our very own governor-elect Glenn Youngkin was there, having just participated in the annual Middleburg parade. He was greeted and cheered on, people asking for pictures and talking to him. I told him congratulations on his win and that my family had voted for him. He said “Thank You” and “We have a lot of work to do”. Also, having been to the parade earlier that day, I can tell you the local police, and the sheriff got huge applause from the crowd. I pray it means the tide is starting to turn.
We’re being warned/notified that Youngkin is a RINO with intimate globalist connections. He’s backing off his promise to eliminate fake vaccine mandates which means any local business or school can do whatever they want regarding masks and mandates and this globalist politico is unwilling to ban them as DeSantis has in FL. Desantis is enjoying record approval ratings, massive nationwide emigration, record tax revenue, Republican Party growth, anti-mandate/mask legislation, lowest covid rates, etc. You must hold Youngkin accountable – don’t be misled like we are with Kemp (GA). I am interested to see if Youngkin is going to eliminate the grocery store tax as he ran on VA being one of the only states to tax food. My grocery bill was quite a bit higher than normal yesterday and I am sure I am not the only one feeling it!
Idaho has a grocery store tax–yes, red Idaho! The legislature has had a bill each session for the past 20 years or so to eliminate this tax, but it always seems to die in committee. What is particularly galling: Republicans have veto proof majorities in the House and Senate AND the state has something like a $600 million surplus. The rank and file would pass it, but the “good ol’ boys” (RINOs or Democrat-lite), which include a few women, chair the committees and they give lip service to repeal of the grocery tax and they literally put in in their desk drawers until the session is over: no hearings, no testimony, nothing. Our Republican “leadership” loves them some grocery store tax0–they just can’t bring themselves to go without.
Idaho is teetering on the brink of becoming another Colorado–solid red to purple to blue. Virginia is not a “home rule” state. You need to understand what that means as far as what localities can and cant do surrounding mandates.

Officers are leaving the big blue cities in droves… why does the “News” focus on such a small town. I know at least 5 officers who up and moved out of California this past year and went to work in a Red State (at half pay mind you!). And that’s just what I know. CA is bleeding law enforcement right now because of the corrupt Soros backed District Attorneys. The risk of not making it home to their families each day is very high; criminals/felons are released immediately after arrest and live to do it again. I’m sure that’s happening everywhere. These places are going to become uninhabitable for families. The people most likely to suffer from the mayhem are the poor because they don’t have many options. Generally the “half pay mind you” that you refer to is possibly half of what they used to make. However their cost of living is also less than half of where they used to live. Half the cost in taxes, possible NO state income tax, less cost of real estate and a friendlier state govt. Here in rural East Texas the cost of living is so much lower than in Houston that my daughter does ALL her shopping here. Of course now with biden’s gas prices it isn’t cost effective to drive nearly 3 hours to do shopping for most.

That’s a broad generalization. Many LE agencies in “red states” are advertising “low cost of living” as part of their recruitment. They’re looking for experienced officers, but offering starting level wages that can’t support someone with a family at a middle class lifestyle. Typically the largest item on a household budget is rent or a mortgage payment, and I can tell you from looking at this extensively the last several years the potentially lower cost of living is usually not as low when you begin looking at housing options.
Real estate has gone up tremendously as blue state refugees flee.
Maybe some civic groups need to find ways to make housing affordable for incoming police
My experience is they are retiring early even if they cannot afford it, moving to the far-reaching suburb PDs, going to work as security for Brokerage Firms, learning IT for It Security jobs, going back into the Military if young enough. Who can blame them with no support among their local Politicians? The lure of a big City PD is long, long gone. I still don’t know why people against the mandates ‘resign’, rather than wait to be ‘fired’. If you get ‘fired’, then you have potential recourse in the future.
They will try and coerce you into resigning by offering to continue your insurance for a period of time, allow you to file for unemployment without dispute and provide a good reference etc.

This is why I’m paying more attention than ever to my local elections. If we don’t fix this mess at home, we will never be able to fix it on a national level. In fact, I believe the best we can hope for on a national level is for Republicans to win and not stab us in the back too many times, at least, on the biggest issues like the border, law and order, and national security. More and more, national security is an internal problem more than external one.

It’s not. It was once “conservative” in the Bush/Romney GOP kind of way. It has been very left-leaning for almost 2 decades due to the massive influx of tech workers, government contractors, and foreign nationals. It is now a majority Democrat area. And it’s not blue collar Democrats it’s CA type Democrats.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, President Donald Trump needs to unequivocally state that he is against these mandates. His silence on this issue is deafening! I know he has said that he loves these vaccines and that he believes people should be able to choose. That’s a total cop out! I am a conservative who voted for this man and I believe that he did a good job when in office. These mandates, including mandated mask wearing, are contrary to basic human rights and autonomy to one’s own body. They have been proven ineffective and dangerous. Mandates may be the single most critical issue over human rights we have ever faced in this country. I’ve had it with his silence on this matter! Trump needs to speak out or we need to find another standard bearer!
