The worst part of all of this is they are going to find 19 officers (Afghan refugees perhaps, lots of military aged men from that country were shipped here recently).
These new officers will have no qualms about inflicting mandates and brutality on the public they serve.

My mother once told me a story about a Klickitat county sheriff in Washington state who was always shaking down truckers. One night he went radio silent. The next day, they found his car along side the highway. He was found above it, dead, wrapped in a barb wire fence.

I suspect that there are many employers finding that they incorrectly assumed the number of people bluffing.
Seattle lost 100 +/- to the mandate – on top of another 250-300 who left in the 18 months prior to the mandate, due to the lack of support from the City Council and the local community. They now have under 1000 sworn officers and many of those are either close to retirement and haven’t worked the streets for years or are brand new rookies with zero experience. Crime is up significantly across the city and there are shootings almost every night and still, almost no one in the local media wants to touch the story! The city is on its last legs and frankly, even though I was born and raised there, I may never step foot in it again!
I stopped going to Minneapolis two years ago when they started playing Islamic prayers on loud speakers close to downtown. Since then it’s only gone down hill. Communist strongholds best left for communists.
I haven’t been back to where I grew up in many years: San Francisco. Back then it was a great place to live (except for a few parts of the city). You can’t pay me to visit now.
And who do we have to thank for these communist strongholds in the USA? Who is to thank for the moslem strongholds? The cost of training and the time needed to train 19 brand new police officers is prohibitive. These small-time dictators thought that they could force vaccinations. I’m sorry for these officers having to make this tough decision under such pressure, but I am sure that they will find jobs again with other police forces. However, I can’t help being glad that the dictators were hoist with their own petard. People will see the example of these officers and others defying the mandates and be less willing to knuckle to pressure. Keep the faith and hold the line to defeat this mass psychosis!

It was with great relief I submitted my retirement papers Friday. I told my supervisor shortly after, and to say he was shocked and worried is an understatement. He was practically begging me to use my remaining time to impart as much knowledge as I can to those who remain. He openly stated he has no idea how he will get certain things done now, and complained about so much history of the office going out the door.
The icing on the cake was telling him I am retiring at the end of the year, but with my already approved vacation time, I said I expected to be gone from the office on 12/15.

Edited to add: I delayed the vax mandate long enough to make certain specific things were included in my retirement. I wasn’t sure I could delay long enough to get those specifics included, but it worked.

But, if its not stopped, eventually they WILL be threatening to withhold something, or fine us, whatever.

Perhaps if enough, like you and these police officers, and many others resist, these cowards will back down, before it gets to us.
