NBC ran an interesting segment on how to cope with the massive inflation and additional costs caused by Joe Biden. Given the collapsing state of the U.S. economy, and crushing price increases for products created by White House policy, the administration previously suggested we should lower our expectations.
NBC takes the ‘lower expectations‘ theme to entirely new levels. I’m not sure they thought through the meaning of Thanksgiving prior to the suggestions; however, Biden’s NBC stenographers have a few interesting recommendations.
The first suggestion is don’t buy the Thanksgiving day turkey, it’s too expensive. The second odd suggestion to save money is do not invite friends of family to dinner. WATCH:

The wife and I spent today baking pumpkin pies and delivering them to a homeless shelter.
We invited a couple of doctors who’ve been working long hours to come over on Thanksgiving for a hot meal.
They need it and they’re our neighbors so that’s what we’re doing.

Wow, idk here in FL last week Publix and W Dixie had Turkey.49cents a pound (2 turkeys max). I made a couple trips. That seems cheap to me and my old man who has a knack for meat (former butcher) thought so too.
What I am saying stock up on that stuff if you can. It’s a lotta meat for a low price. And remember after 2021 departs there’s a good chance that may be hard to come by. Do your thing friends!!

I see a lot of hate for the solemn, patient turkey here 🙁 Ha, guess I’m one of the few who LIKES turkey meat. Nope, I’m not a ‘turkey burger’ guy, though I like a turkey sandwich- but, I LIKE Thanksgiving turkey. The breast, the legs, whatever. Grind it up after day 2, or make some soup, whatever… but, it’s a good eat.
We’ve had other things, too- steaks, ham, etc, but… I like the traditional. Some pumpkin pie. Green bean casserole, probably some mashed potatoes and gravy.
Egg nog and a little hooch (brandy, amaretto, vodka- whatever) helps a chilling autumn night, too… 😉

Okay, this Thanksgiving I’ll make the supreme sacrifice … no damn green beans; I hate green beans and never could understand the prominent place of those things at the Thanksgiving meal … very sweet corn on the cob, okay; yams drowning in dark brown sugar, okay; whole berry cranberry sauce AND jellied cranberry sauce, okay … but I will not spoil the meal with any green beans. If I must have some greens, then I’ll go with either brussels sprouts or broccoli, but green beans are banned.
In fact, let Democrats eat all the beans they can handle; let ’em stuff themselves with every variety of beans they can find.

ShopRite has a program where if you get so many points leading up to Thanksgiving, (based on how much you spend) they give you either a Turkey, (Shop Rite brand name or a ButterBall) or a Ham. With ‘OBidens inflation raising prices, it doesn’t take much to reach 300 points this year.

I’ve missed only a couple of year not preparing a turkey dinner (20# or so) at home – even if I have been single for 20 years, now. Friday is ‘turkey soup’ day after rendering down the carcass for sandwiches, turkey dinners after T-Day, or sealed and stuck in the freezer.
The only time I haven’t done it is when my ‘brother by shared values’ (Vietnam Marine sniper) and his wife have shamed me into coming to their home for T-Day.
The way I’m saving money right now is by having cut the cable – five years ago.
