If one looks into the details, one finds that this was a 1997 (iirc) ruling by the 9th Circuit Court, that ruled that illegal alien children could not be held in detention for more than 3 months (iirc), even if their illegal alien parents remained in detention.
My recollections may be a little off, but it was definitely a court ruling that enforced the child separation rule, which is why Obama originally followed them.

Excellent questions, however i would challenge the 3.7 million jobs lost to China as mentioned in #7. While I have seen a USNews report that we lost that amount of jobs to China between 2001-2018, I would challenge that as being only a direct number of manufacturing jobs.
It does not account for entire towns that were wiped out when one or two large factories shut down to move overseas. Those lost factories wiped out most of the service and other jobs that once thrived in support of the factory and its workforce along with their families who lived in and around the town. How many towns became part of the “rust belt” in the midwest and turned into ghost towns?
My guess is that those 3.7 million directly lost jobs translated into 100 million lost jobs in our national economy over that period of time.

My dad had Alzheimer’s. I know of others who also passed with the disease. Something I noticed and that is, if you had a temper or anger problem before the Alzheimer’s, it becomes enhanced and out of control, and in many cases very abusive. Fortunately, my father became sweeter and quieter. I know of at least two cases where the wife had to put her husband into full time memory care, against his wishes, because of the abusive behavior. It’s very sad.
The fact that this man is the current resident of the White House is unconscionable and is elder abuse, in my opinion. There are many people to blame – sorry to say, but Jill Biden is the spouse and should manage the situation, with help of course, but it is her number 1 job to care properly for her husband, even if he is an a$$.

My mother passed away in May 2020, after a dozen years with unspecified dementia and the sudden outbursts of anger were VERY common in the middle stages of her illness. (Alzheimer’s is generally considered to have seven stages.) She would get especially frustrated when she felt like she was not being respected – that her judgement or ability was being questioned or denigrated and she would lash out in anger at whoever was the one challenging her, which was usually me, unfortunately.
Uncle Joe’s outburst today looked very familiar – he knew that the reporter was inferring that he had not been aware of the policy or had given a “wrong answer” in the previous presser and that is what triggered him, IMHO. He KNOWS that he is forgetting things, knows that he is not “sharp” and therefore become overly defensive when someone pushes him on a question he doesn’t know how to answer. (My mother once announced that she wanted to marry “a boy” that she had met at her facility and I said that I would okay it – I had a full POA – IF she could tell me his name, which of course, she couldn’t remember. She was FURIOUS with me!)
My father in law is in end stage Azheimer’s and is extremely volatile and in a constant state of anger. He is unwilling to be on any medication so naturally the situation could not be worse. After driving cross country and God knows what else, the adventure ended when he finally was forced to hand over the car keys after attempting to strike a police officer who had stopped him. I could go on and on about the irrational behavior and absolute stonewalling from his wife who refused to do anything about it. I see the same behavior in FJB (who is just a few years younger) and it does not get any better, that’s for sure. The people pulling his strings terrify me more because what do we really know about them? Heck, FJB wasn’t really elected, so who was? (Yes, I know…………the big BO).

I have been watching this man “perform” since 1987, he so fascinated me. ( I had been studying compulsive liars for a time and found one in him so followed him, you could say, for decades.)
