If you’ve been following politics for a while, you know the status of Virginia to both the RNC and DNC clubs. If not, GO DEEP HERE. Virginia is where club insiders play politics; and yes, that includes using old campaign tactics familiar in the era of Clinton -vs- Bush.
The establishment clubs of both political wings of the UniParty use their backyard of Virginia to express their political influence. Supporters of the Terry McAuliffe campaign deployed an old school trick from the well worn pages of politics today, by sending campaign operatives to stir up a racial angle:
The McAuliffe supporters are trying to bring back the Charlottesville White Nationalist narrative by having operatives hold tiki torches and claim to be ‘White Nationalist’ supporters of his opponent Glenn Youngkin at a campaign stop. This is a stupid and transparent political gimmick. Unfortunately, for McAuliffe these campaign tricks are so old and worn out even the former architect of them, Karl Rove, now rolls his eyes.
However, on the positive side, this does indicate a certain amount of desperation from the supporters of Terry McAuliffe. If they were not worried about losing the election, these desperate Hail Marys would not be taking place. One Twitter Account has already identified some of the stupid activists [SEE HERE]
Having people pretend to be racist and support the opponent is really desperate. Even the operatives don’t look like they are having any fun. Can you imagine being given this assignment? It might look good on paper, but in the current era it’s just silly when deployed. This effort is so Clinton -v- Bush era it’s ridiculous.
McAuliffe would have been better off if he just paid the FBI to help him. Of course, the campaign denies their involvement:

As we have shared, Virginia is where the establishment political clubs deploy, organize and play against each other; which is exactly why CTH warns about not getting too invested in this race. Virginia is an insiders game and does not reflect the status of grassroots political effort at any level.

The people living within Virginia are pawns to the political games played within the state. Good earnest grassroots people inside Virginia have a heck of a problem on their hands because of this.
Party insiders control the mechanisms of political rules and processes within Virginia. When the earnest people in Virginia activate to successfully elect a person who does not conform to the party establishment ideology, the system will work to remove that candidate; see Dave Brat for recent reference.
♦Virginia is also where the national party narratives are constructed, so be careful. The establishment Republicans will seek to use a Youngkin victory as a tool to disparage and diminish the grassroots MAGA movement. If patriots in Virginia successfully elect Youngkin, the RNC and club ideology will immediately say the only reason Youngkin won was because he distanced himself from Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
This is a spin tactic the Republican club insiders are famous for doing. They use victories by their controlled narrative candidates to diminish grassroots conservative efforts. The MAGA movement is currently a target for elimination just like the former Tea Party movement was. Both grassroots movements challenge the club apparatus and both are considered a risk by Democrats and Republicans alike.

Hopefully Virginia will vote for Glenn Youngkin because at least they will have a fighting chance to stem the bleeding of their freedom, and he’s not a communist. But don’t consider a state-wide race in Virginia, fraught with nuanced shades of purple, to be a referendum on how the nation feels as a whole.
In Virginia, the grassroots -v- establishment divisions are bold; however, the party club divisions (DNC -v- RNC) are almost invisible.
If Youngkin can win, the RNC and Republican Club machinery -writ large- will try to push a narrative that a milquetoast candidate in 2024 is the key to winning the “suburban women’s vote” or “suburban soccer mom’s vote”. They will predictably push this talking-point because what the GOPe fear most of all is an establishment disruptor like Donald Trump.
♦ The RNC and GOPe (headquartered just outside the swamp in Virginia) want a Mike Pence / Nikki Haley candidate in 2024. The Republican Club will attempt to use a Youngkin victory in Virginia to push that national impression.
Just understand their inside Club objectives, and you will see through their engineering.
Keep this in mind: Virginia is home to many of the federal employees (Senior Executive Service, GS-15 and military) who worked feverishly to sabotage every day of the Trump presidency. You’d be hard-pressed to find an honorable or patriotic citizen among this group of thieves.

The tough thing about VA is that VA is Government Party Headquarters. They voted for Hillary 96-4% in D.C. for example. Anything McAuliffe might have done to collaborate with the coup plotters would benefit McAuliffe.
The best we can hope for is that McAuliffe loses and he, the Clinton machine, and Obama blame it on Biden.
I still don’t think he loses. The race is nice and close in terms of polling which makes the vote fraud much easier to conceal.

OK…I think I finally get it. I believe this answers questions I had regarding previous Sundance post regarding Virginia race...Establishment will see that only establishment candidates float to top(in establishment saturated Virginia). But the actual final voter turnout (grassroots) is a true gauge of voter temperature (or rather – tolerance). Therefore – VOTE YOUNGKIN!

Virginia demographics have drastically changed the last couple of decades. A lot of carpetbaggers (including me) have moved here. While there is a significant MAGA base here (red-blooded Americans who drive pick-ups and fly their Trump flags proudly), there is a also a significant Republican base that thinks like the “elites” do… “Trump is too caustic, too mean, etc.”
I’ve seen Virginia turn from red to purple to blue to radical blue. My kids have been directly impacted by this.
Youngkin was not my first choice. It was Amanda Chase. Youngkin is establishment. Chase in MAGA. But Chase probably couldn’t be doing as well as Youngkin right now BECAUSE white suburban moms, mostly transplants, don’t vote MAGA in Virginia. There are also a ton of Federal employees and Federal contractors who live here. These people are not MAGA types either.
That all said, don’t be discouraged. The Dems thought they had VA in the bag forever. This is a major shock to them. If they lose the Governorship, and maybe more importantly, the House of Delegates, they will be in total meltdown mode.

Moved to VA from the People’s Republic of New Jersey hoping to live in a free State, but ever since I came they switched to voting for socialists. The VA GOP are F’ing losers. They failed to stop Northam with his racists blackface/KKK pictures. They are worthless. Chase was MAGA. Even if she won the nomination the feckless VA GOP would have partnered with groups like the Lincoln Project to undermine her. Remember how we got Youngkin. A special type of convention solely designed to stop Chase.
I pointed out yesterday that Youngkin is the RNC candidate. A MAGA candidate would not win in a primary. But Winsome Sears, the Republican nominee for Lt Gov is MAGA. The AG, Miyares is not (best I can tell). Down ballot is what counts as much as who is governor. Republicans must take back the House of Delegates. We can do this with Youngkin, and many of those new delegates will be MAGA. It’s going to take awhile to turn the VA GOP around, but it has started. Once next Tuesday is behind us we have to start preparing for 2022, when folks like Spanberger must be defeated and removed. Vote Republican and stay focused.

The only real advantage to a Youngkin win is that it would accelerate Biden’s political collapse. The whole “Biden is a legitimate President” rests on two basic things:
Biden has already shown he lacks basic competence. This is showing up in polling all over the place. Not just “happy/sad” polling numbers or like/dislike numbers…but strong polling showing people perceive him as incompetent and not mentally fit.
Strength can ebb and flow with Presidents, but a key test of strength is the ability to get other candidates into the Win column. Coattails. Biden did not have these in November last year – even people who actually think he won recognize that the Democrats nearly lost the House and their tie breaker in the Senate is one of the most hated politicians in America. Biden has campaigned for McAuliffe. That’s usually a sign the “President” thinks McAuliffe will win and make Biden look strong. The media has their “Comeback Joe” stories already written if McAuliffe wins.
This election is all about Biden. The people running the country depend on a competent, strong, puppet. The more Biden is perceived as a bumbling, mentally incompetent, buffoon who literally gets people killed, the easier it will be for people to start asking themselves, “How exactly did this guy get elected?” Within the Democrat Party, they have people who want Biden’s throne. You can bet on it. So as Biden falters, more people on Team Blue will be motivated to ask, “Hey, what’s this about nursing homes falsifying ballots in Wisconsin? Maybe we need to look into that…”
The Democrats have a Yuri Andropov / Constantine Chernenko potato head President and they know it. The weaker Biden gets, the more the sharks will gather. The Government Media also has a problem: they’ve set this up as a test for Biden’s power, too. If Biden loses, we’ll get the usual suspects claiming that it “means nothing”, but even the die hard living in the cave Democrats know that McAuliffe losing in Government Party Virginia is a message that the Government Party has lost confidence in Biden.

As for the Governor, Sarvis pealed off 6 percent and allowed Terry McCauliffe to win in 2013. Any State party that nominates someone like Ed Gillipse is worthless.

I have a bit of experience with another Republican state chapter and let me tell you, they aren’t that much different than Virginia’s state GOP chapter.
The RNC got a real scare in 2012 when Ron Paul ran for president and his libertarian shock troops nearly took over a half dozen or more key Republican state chapters, including Iowa, Michigan and Nevada. At the same time, the Tea Party was making serious moves and threatening the leadership of several Republican state chapters; Paul’s Libertarian putsch was the final straw.
Since then, rules changes–including personnel–have ensured that DC Republicans control state chapters. As Sundance has outlined, Virginia is firmly in the bosom of the national (DC) Republicans. Unfortunately, Virginia isn’t the only state.
People are finally being shaken from their apathy, because they can see how close the traitor/criminal Democrat marxists are to pushing our country over the cliff and destroying everything
I have seen multiple yard signs driving around my Northern VA neighborhood saying “Keep Parents Out of Schools vote Terry McAuliffe”. I am in Fairfax County just a few miles from Loudoun County. Staggering to me they can still think this is a winning issue.

Just moved from Fairfax Cty VA to the great state of FL. What a cesspool of very scary, stupid folk reside in NO VA. Of course they largely work for the Govt in DC and are so entitled it is beyond obnoxious! Could not wait to get out of there! Good luck VA because you certainly need all the luck you can get!
