The City of San Francisco and Mayor London Breed announced a vaccination mandate in August for any business offering indoor dining. According to the order, all businesses are required to ask for proof of vaccination from customers. San Francisco was the second city in the country, behind New York, in making such a regional mandate.
The owners and operators of In-N-Out burger, refused to be vaccination police and discriminate against their customers. The City of San Francisco shut them down. The restaurant still offers outside seating and take out, but they will not participate in vaccine checkpoints.
CALIFORNIA – “In an email to Eater SF the San Francisco Department of Public Health says it’s been trying to get In-N-Out to adhere to the city’s vaccination order for weeks. The city’s Joint Information Center Outreach Team first visited the restaurant on September 24 after receiving a complaint to the 311 non-emergency service line.
Inspectors from the Environmental Health division who followed up on October 6, found the restaurant was still in violation of the health order and issued a Notice to Comply. The department finally issued a Notice of Closure on October 14, at which point the restaurant was “instructed to cease all operations on site immediately because of the threat it poses to public health,” according to the Department of Public Health. The owner of the property, Anchorage Holdings LP, which is based in Addison, Texas, was also issued a Notice of Violation.
The company says it has “properly and clearly posted signage to communicate local vaccination requirements.” But In-N-Out also admits employees were not checking customers’ vaccinations cards and IDs, nor were they preventing customers who are not able to prove they’ve been vaccinated from entering the restaurant, which the health department told the company that staff must do.
“As a Company, In-N-Out Burger strongly believes in the highest form of customer service and to us that means serving all Customers who visit us and making all Customers feel welcome,” the statement continues. “We refuse to become the vaccination police for any government. It is unreasonable, invasive, and unsafe to force our restaurant Associates to segregate Customers into those who may be served and those who may not, whether based on the documentation they carry, or any other reason.” (read more)
San Francisco wants folks to be healthy, you say. . . . ??

Probably unrelated. . .
You think?
Don’t walk down the street barefoot.
And nobody asks what role an open sewer plays in spreading covid and other diseases.

You should have seen the 99.9% naked* homosexuals parading down the street on a Sunday afternoon and “letting it all hang out,” when we visited a crying cousin in San Francisco.
The cousin was crying because she wanted to move to Ohio, but was afraid about not finding employment and that her idiot children would stay behind. She literally cried when the naked homosexuals walked by in front of their grandchildren (3 and 5 at the time).
“I HATE THIS PLACE!” said the cousin…but she stayed for more years, then moved to Fresno, but could not bring herself to leave her idiot children: every one of them (in their late 30’s and 40’s) had been ruined by the Kulcher of San Francisco, despite her best efforts.
Public school education did not help things.
* To be completely fair, the homosexuals were wearing hats and sandals.
New Orleans has this vaccine requirement as well. No restaurant, bar, etc can sell to unvaccinated patrons. The restaurants are dutifully checking vaccine status.
Was just in New Orleans Sun-Mon and we did not encounter anyone asking at a restaurant where we ate Sunday evening. We did notice the sign on the way in, though, and summarily ignored and asked no questions as we typically do. Tipped well, too.
Being in a neighboring state to New Orleans, local TV stations are airing ads for NOLA x NOLA inviting people to come and enjoy all types of musics, come to bars, go wherever you want, and eat wherever you want. No mention of vax requirements or checking patrons for vax IDs. These ads began in late September.
Maybe they needed unvaxxed tourist dollars, because of Katrina or some such financial need.
No. Katrina was a long-ass time ago. Restaurants currently require one shot, butt surely depending on the establishment. Mayor LaToya doing her best to ruin dat city.
Whatever Ray Nagin didn’t destroy, she’s going to finish…
Ruin that city?? Bro, that whole place smells like p!ss and rotten shrimp.
That’s my NOLA! 🙂 I grew up there and reading George’s post I thought, how could that have happened? We used to say “if you’re tall enough to get your quarter on the bar, they’ll serve you” and that morphed into “your papers please?” somehow. Say it ain’t so!
We visited NO in August, and we were asked and refused admittance to a favorite bakery we always visit when in NO. We had to stand outside at the little window and order take out. Thankfully, the other restaurants we planned to visit aren’t actually in NO city limits. Other towns, like Chalmette don’t have the mandate. And their food was just as good if not better.
I have only been to New Orleans once, which was to go to the WWII museum with a group of WWII veterans. I’m very grateful I was able to go to that museum with the vets. It is a shame the museum chose that location, as in my opinion, NO is a pit and I don’t plan to return. I never felt safe the entire time I was there. High crime rate and in fact, my credit card number was stolen in one of the venues I patronized. Their vaccine passport is now going to be the nail in the coffin for this city. What do you expect from Liberals though? They destroy everything they touch.
I went in 1971 in the “good times”. One business trip in 1980.
Third world s***hole. Post Katrina, can’t imagine (well, friends said…).
No interest to return to be abused by Brazzaville on the Mississippi.
I went to N’Orlans one time back in the mid-90s on a business trip for a week. What a slimy, disgusting place it was and I will never go back. Certainly not a place to bring your family. I went to Bourbon Street and the bars were so disgusting I was afraid to touch anything. It’s too bad that Katrina didn’t wash this cesspool away. Besides, who is that stupid to build a city six feet below sea level.
You went to Bourbon street? Oh, yeah, the whole city is just like that. ?
They refused to serve you because you didn’t have the Yellow Star….and you gave them money for doing so? Amazing.
So nobody can enter? There of course is no vaccine, so just what are they checking?
How about we organize some sit-ins? It worked against a former version of senseless bigotry.
I keep a list of companies that don’t hate me. Looks like In N Out is on my list.
Do share
Got a call from a friend today who said she was quitting her new part-time job because as of tomorrow she must prove she is vaxxed to work there.
She needed to get a part-time job to help pay for everything that’s gone up in price, so she got an early morning job working 5 hours every week day before heading into her real job.
She has been working the entire plandemic, while watching many of those around her sit at home and get more money on unemployment, while not paying their rent and having no threat of eviction.
Today was her last day working part-time for Hallmark Incorported of Hallmark cards, a company coercing employees to take a poison injection.
Thanks for posting, I was heading out to shop for a card tomorrow for Mrs. Shadow. Hallmark will not be on the back of it.
So much for overpriced Hallmark.
You’ve got to be kidding. Hallmark’s on my list now to not to buy, that’s disappointing but I also think they are pretty “woke”, too.
I used to work at Hallmark in the mall through high school and also on breaks from first year of college. It was a very easy job for a teen.
Well, there goes another business I can live without. Thank you for heads up!
She should stay and fight. Demand written notification of the mandate before acquiescing. Then say she’s going to run it by her lawyer. Then say her lawyer is backed up but will get to it. Then push it to HR, which will hate to get embroiled in anything legal. At very least, make them fire her.
Don’t quit make them fire you, make it just as hard as you can for them
I wonder if there is a Hallmark card for that?
I have wished they were in my vicinity since the high praise they received in The Big Lebowski. Maybe this will bring them to my neighborhood.
Getting hungry for an In-N-Out Burger right now . 🙂
I’m recently addicted to their strawberry shakes. Go INOB! And FJB!!!
Nobody in this house could figure out what’s the big deal about in-n-out. Seriously?
fresh quality made hamburger just the way you like it with newly cut fries and old-time shakes…what’s to NOT like?
And cheerful employees who do a great job!
Sounds like 5 guys.
without the woke
Delicious burgers! Congrats to In-n-out for their unwillingness to be the vacc police.
Fresh food, not frozen or processed!!
Seriously? You ever been to one?
FREEDOM!
SERIOUSLY!
??????
Chick-fil-A 2.0
Chick-Fil-A here in WA State refuse to even hire delivery drivers that cannot provide proof of “vaccination!” They have been off my list of “go-to’s” since they claim to be a Christian” organization yet support organizations that are diametrically opposed to the Word of God! Hippocrates!
No, Hippocrates was a Greek physician “in the age of Pericles”
I think you meant hypocrites
I know we’re not supposed to be spelling police, but I couldn’t help but make fun
As I fear we’ll find ourselves saying more and more in this formerly great nation of ours:
“Lo siento”
Don’t forget the epicurean, Popsicles.
No. Hippocrates are the huge boxes used to transport large animals.
I love the humor around here.
Not even close, Chic-fella is woke and their food sucks.
San Francisco refused to close the bath houses at the height of the AIDs crisis but they’ll make you close down over a cold.
These inconsistencies have a way of shooting the vax all to hell.
Keep ‘em coming, dumb-@sses.
Meth and heroin are decriminalized..
You would have to pay me a lot of money just to visit CALIFORNIA and living there is out of the question. For reasons outlined by this article.
We would be better off if the officials responsible for these rules disappeared.
As a native since the 50’s sadly I agree. There was a time when San Francisco was a vibrant, safe, clean, exciting city. However, it did suffer a good deal in the 60’s and 70’s. I remember riding BART when it was new and wondering why anyone would want to visit. We usually only went there for the Giant’s games.
IMO it’s far worse now. Sad.
I was lucky to have visited SF in my Navy years when it was still worth visiting
Had many a great “Liberty Call” there while stationed at NAS Moffett Field in the mid 1960’s. Thought SF was the most beautiful city I had ever seen. Last visited about 30 years ago and wont go back. I just want to remember it as it was. Damn shame what they have done to that once “Beautiful City by the Bay.”
I guess contaminated needles and feces on sidewalks are considered safe in San Francisco ??♀️
Walgreens have already closed at least 10 stores in San Francisco due to legalized stealing.
Looks like they’re closing 5 more. What a dump San Francisco is.

Only if the needles were used to vax people. /s/
As they seem to be here in Seattle area as well! Watch where you step! Between that and their crime rate, it’s unsafe to visit there now!
I used to love going to pikes place market.
Now I wouldn’t step foot in Seattle.
Haven’t been there in years
.
I won’t even drive through in I-5. Will go the tortuous route of 405 if I need to go north.
We are getting an In-N-Out in Logan, Utah soon. I rarely go for fast food but for them I might make an exception.
In N Out is quite delicious.
You lucky things!
Their Monster Burger with grilled onion, and fries with special sauce will set you free. It is pure burger joint bliss.
Yummmm. You guys are making me hungry!
Heck! I’m a California girl……until I left there I didn’t realize there were actually places with no In-N-Outs!
I moved to the big woods and now I only get to read about them and looks at the pictures. lol
I’m sooooo hungry for some of their yumminess.
Fortunately with the internet one can learn the lingo for the ‘special’ menu before going. I had to learn it the hard way and still forgot stuff or got it wrong. Fun though. Worth a try. I can’t recall a disappointing meal there. Double-double animal style, fries well done and a neopolitan (not rainbow, my common mistake!) shake.
Enjoy!
you can tell that they serve good food because there is always a line to order…specialize in mostly fries burgers and shakes like Mickey Ds did when they first started
I don’t think of them as fast food. They have great burgers and shakes. Not at all in the same category as MacDonald’s. In-N-Out will be my #1 place for a burger now that they took a stand against the Democrat Communists in SF.
??????????
Do it to support those who support freedom of choice.
????
“The city’s Joint Information Center Outreach Team for Heil Hamburgers and Fascist Frankfurters first visited the restaurant on September 24 after receiving a complaint to the 311 non-emergency service line.”
If you’re an unvaxxed undocumented diner, you’re not welcome.
If you’re an unvaxxed undocumented alien, you get free meals, free money and free airplane travel to Chappaqua.
You know, if this whole scenario were a movie, I’d have left after first few frames.
I believe In-N-Out burgers are Christian owned. Only say that due to the fact that every time Grace Community Church in Los Angeles has a big outdoor event, In-N-Out is there.
Grace Community Church shut down for the two week curve early in 2020, and since then they have been open and serving customers in person and without masks.
.
There is scripture (or some pro-Christian mention) printed on their packaging materials, I believe I’ve seen . . .
Bottom of drink cups & French fry baskets, a Bible verse reference.
TBH I tried the place because of a common interest by the owning family in drag racing, and my wife nagged me to eat out more often. Didn’t know much more about them than that. Good info, thanks.
privately owned out of CA…their drink cups all have John 3:16 on the bottom
hopefully this time in history is helping some wake up, stand up like this restaurant chain and disobey government overreach. The City used to be such an amazing place. It will eventually become so far gone even the rich won’t want to live there. Keep it up SF, all the good taxpaying citizens in your town will finally see the light and move away.
Yes, the demise of San Francisco is so sad. It used to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world and one of the top tourist destinations. I used to work there and am so glad I got out when I did.
My deepest gratitude for the brave people refusing to comply w potentially life threatening, fascistic diktats.

The top picture is actually the F1 racetrack in Monza. Looks like a race day with tires in the garage areas.
Last night there was a video in the twitter link, that showed the people in the square laughing at the “live web cam feed” on their phone. That video has now been scrubbed from the twitter post.
WHAT were they laughing at??? No one was there or the place was packed?
The second picture is Zurich, where the Limmat meets the Zurchersee, looking north. Wow! I am so pleased to see this.
Were there to be a lawsuit, there would have to be cause proven for the efficacy of the shots. If transmission is not impeded, then any health measure requiring a demonstrably ineffective safety method would be regarded as arbitrary and capricious.

I’d go so far as to say this executive order is EXACTLY THAT. If only this could be placed before the courts.
In n out is an old school burger joint, everything fresh and my favorite. They are owned by one family ( as I recall) and refuse to franchise. The one thing (aside from great food) you will notice is that their restaurants are super clean. Over the years I’ve noticed they have one or more employees that do nothing but keep the public area clean. Tried (with some wealthy friends) years ago to buy a franchise from the Snyders, not a chance, but they did give us some gift cards for meals as a thank you. This is a well run business that can afford to tell SF to pound sand…Patriots!!!
best paid and most loyal employees in fast food…managers make $80k and up and get bonuses and gifts from family owners for performance…one year fully 1/2 of them got an all-expenses-paid 2-week vacation to HI
Always great to see Patriots, refusing to endorse the scam.
Here’s where we whack the camel’s nose: In-N-Out Burger should ignore the purported “order.”
Just open for business as usual. Offer a 10% discount for un-vaccinated customers; a 15% discount for people who have been fired for being vaccinated; and free meals for former Law Enforcement who have been fired or forced to resign. Watch it spread.
How do you offer a discount to the unvacinated? Search everyone to see if they are carring a vaccine card?
It’s the thought that counts.
Watch In-Out customers GROW
Please everyone stop saying that the jab is the hill to die on. That’s dumb. The proper thinking on this is that the issue of medical privacy is the last remaining bit of shoreline we can defend to prevent the enemy establishing a nearly impregnable beachhead. By the time they get to the Jab Hill we’ve lost.
The issue is not the jab. The issue is the invasion of privacy that would have us waive all our privacy over our own bodies. If we cede the shoreline on the issue of ever disclosing whether we are jabbed or not then we’ve handed them the control they need to stomp us flat. Can you imagine any employer demanding that an employee disclose pregnancy status (or plans), HIV status, cancer status, or any other such thing?
I do not intend to die on the jab hill, but I’m willing to let them die on the privacy shoreline to keep them from ever nearing the jab hill.
You are so right!
Well said.
Yet another reason, as if we needed one, to love In-N-Out Burger.
Who’s the lowlife who complained about them.
Bureaucrats eat burgers. Pretty common methodology for singling out and attacking a business. IDK, in this environment, probably a good idea to stick to harassing the big ones with a lot to lose. Things can go sideways fast. The company can live with one store of hundreds being closed. They won’t be firing up killdozer anytime soon.
If our nation was a nation of laws and did not suffer from a judicial system that was corrupt to the core these so called vaccine mandates would be illegal and the edicts made by these lunatic government heads would have severe consequences on them. FJB.
I just saw recently that this is a Christian company and they have verses printed on their cups and wrappers.
Thank you, IN-N-OUT Company! We go to nearest big city at least monthly & enjoy IN-N -OUT there often.
It’s a 2 hour drive, & now we’ll make darn sure we don’t go to alternative places as our way of thanking you for standing for our freedom of choice.
We wish you many, many more years of continued success! ??
We love IN-N-OUT Burger and support them. In our house We also say …..
F*CK joe biden
F*CK joe biden
F*CK joe biden
Makes me wish there was a store in the Kansas City area just so I could throw some business their way.
Tempting to file suit demanding the city actually prove the store was posing a “threat to public health” by not playing the part of vax Gestapo greater than that posed by all the homeless camps, feces in public and drug paraphenalia.
In N Out, Best $5 burger, best response to the vax Nazis!
No In ‘n Out’s here in Canada, but we’ve eaten at one every time we’ve been to California.
Perhaps people in areas without the restaurant could support them by donating $10 directly to In ‘n Out.
This would cover the cost for an In ‘n Out meal to a hungry or homeless person/family..
If you have a business you need wrecked, call a democrat.
The Burgers that In-n-Out makes here in Texas are not as great as I remember them from when I lived in California but I’m taking my family to my local In-n-Out as a show of support for the stand they took here.
Healthy as in all the homeless drug addicts sleeping and shooting up in makeshift tents and pooping on the sidewalks?
That’s it! Damn the inevitable long line at the drive-thru.
It’s In-N-Out burger for lunch.
Their hamburgers aren’t our favorites but they’re definitely dinner tonight.
I loved The Bee’s jab at CA, saying that more people approve of “climate change” now that they understand much of CA will be under water . . .
One of my favorite headlines recently.
Public Health Fascism
As an aside, last Sunday I had my first “BidenBurger.”
Went to Chili’s, tried to order a burger, and the server said they were out of buns and shrugged.
I waited … and said, “sooo … do you have any bread?”
She brought me a tasty patty, slapped on two pieces of plain, white sandwich bread.
I laughed and said, “Let’s go, Brandon.”
It still tasted good, but they still charged me full price.
BidenBurger. True story.

Good for SF In-N-Out. Especially in a city that enables and encourages every manner of gross and unsanitary behavior. One would hope that the corporate leaders of In-N-Out have got their backs financially. Sadly, they may have to have their backs permanently because the progressives will never give up on vaccines, masks, or anything else they see as means of control.
Truly. For those uneducated people who tremble at the possibility that their poison treatment will not protect them from this (not so) dire affliction, they can govern their behavior by their own phobias and elect not to be served inside. In-N-Out has no authority, no reason, and as a public place, no interest in participating in unlawful charade. I sense that they are aware of this and may be acting according to a legal strategy and good for them if that is true.
As an analogy; moral types are outraged that the public square is seething with mindless racist hate, pornography, slander of persons, religions, our heritage, etc., but we are ordered to take it and like it. We have no authority to try to control the poisonous public square, why should these idiots?
Just bought a slew of gift cards.
More sand in the machine! Stat!
What percentage has to be vaccinated to end the mandate? What percentage has to be vaccinated or have antibodies to achieve the much desired “herd immunity”? Does anyone know? What about in your state? We have long since passed the original target and probably several other targets along the way – the goalposts continue to move. Now we are hearing about vaccinations for elementary school aged children even when it appears the risk of vaccination is higher than the risk of catching COVID for that demographic. But what are the risks associated with the vaccine? Nobody knows because the follow-the – data federal bureaucracies are either too incompetent to actually follow the data or they don’t want to know.
Hurrah In & Out Burger!! And I am Vegan!!
Another reason to love In-N-Out.?
In-N-Out Burger in San Francisco should have gone the extra mile and demanded that customers show an HIV status card.
I seriously doubt ANY of the employees of that In n OUt join are qualified OR licensed to practice medicine. By MANDATING you accept a specific medical tratment/interventioin they ARE practicing medicine. Someone shuld tell the Eedjits ruining the City of San Francisco about that. they ARE practicing medicine demanding I get the shots.
Sorry SD, New Orleans started this vax enforcement at the door to enter restaurants. NOLA is a restaurant town, and there’s other options outside city limits, so Mayor LaToya is killing the city.
