Yeah, some of my friends in health care had something ‘bad’ in late 2019 but they weren’t sure what it was. I didn’t get it until March 2020 and IME the first (I’m now up to three) was the worst. Still, oxygen saturation didn’t get below 96% and temp didn’t get over 102. Survived it with normal flu care.
The more recent iterations have been annoying more than anything. Aches and pains were really the marked symptoms Last one taste and smell barely disappeared, that was about a month ago now.
No treatment, no vaccine, no testing, no doctors. 60’s. Would I recommend that? Nope. My family is dead so there’s no one relying on me to be alive and I’ve been historically healthy. People should consider their personal circumstances.

President Trump has been an amazing figure and leagues ahead of 99.9% of anyone. That being said, to me it is disappointing he has not mentioned in depth the obvious fact that, whatever the intentions for the vac cine were, things have veered wildly out of control and the entire effort has been transformed into a totalitarian movement by the gov ernment, which threatens the security and liberty of the people. He needs to acknowledge this, and the suffering that this has brought on the American people, and openly address it to try to lend support to the many Americans who have lost jobs or are about to lose jobs because of the mandates that came about because of the vaccine he helped bring about. This is wrong. This is evil. He needs to acknowledge it and not ignore this issue. He had good intentions, but it has led to a not so good outcome. Acknowledge it and help the people now, because down the road it is too late to earn back trust.

Regarding outcome, he has zero control over outcome right now. The current regime is the one actively pressing mandates and controlling Rx supplies.
It’s occurred to me, and been said here I think, that… President Trump is avoiding the vax issue because he doesn’t want to alienate the millions of Trump voters who took the injection, a vax he promotes, still, as one of his accomplishments.
Also, he may be remaining silent re: the incarcerated Jan 6 protesters because … the WH, congress, DOJ/FBI, media, oCongress, trying to make a case against him as the orchestrator of the “insurrection.” For legal reasons he may need to remain silent re: Jan 6.
But… unless he has been threatened by thugs in this admin/govt, I do not see a VALID or honorable reason to encourage people to take the vax.
If his silence is merely politically expedient, that’s immoral, IMO…. and I’m struggling with it.
I also have a big problem with why Trump would imply that even natural immunity is of no value… which he has done because he has admitted he got the vax even though he survived and recovered quickly from the virus.

Some days ago I received a blurb about a New York Times Magazine article called Why Is Every Young Person in America Watching The Sopranos?
The subtitle, however, was even more interesting: …and interpreting it “as a parable of a country in terminal decline.”
The title is of course an exaggeration, but the subtitle nagged at me. The (fairly long) article delineates the story of the show (which I never watched) and struggles mightily to claim that America is in decline because of its very nature and because of (usually) the persistence of non-Leftist policies.
The Sopranos is almost 20 years old now, and I suspect that the article is part of the hype for a prequel movie coming out.

It reminded me of a marvelous book in my library: The Idea of Decline in Western History by Arthur Herman, who has written some better-known books, e.g. How the Scots Invented the Modern World.
The former book is almost 25 years old now, yet is as salient as ever. Herman describes the “organic” view of History and of historical processes from the ancient Greeks and Romans down through today. This view, also called a “cyclical” interpretation, implies a certainty about a country’s or a civilization’s decline. Civilization has a birth, an adolescence, adulthood, old age, and a death.
Herman concentrates, however, on the last 200 years of cultural pessimism, and how such a pessimistic view of one’s society can become – or has become – a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I quote here from p. 451:
“In the end, the whole debate over “the decline of the West” presents us with a false set of choices. The alternative to historical pessimism is not optimistic complacency: they are opposite sides of the same holistic view….The classical liberal* view originally sprang up precisely because its adherents recognized the dangers of insisting that individuals have significance only if they are part of a larger whole….One of the great blessings of the civilizing process…is that it raises humans above (a) servile status by making them aware of their individual rights, interests, and powers as well as free from irrational passions and fears.
“…What if society is not an organism with a predetermined course and lifespan, but is made up of individual(s)…with the power to more or less shape his own destiny? Then society’s future…is what the society’s members decide to make of it….”

And so looking back just at the last 60 years, I can verify that if America is declining, it is because of the dominance of Leftist/Communist ideology, a dominance which is not only political, but cultural, social, behavioral, and even religious.
When I started teaching c. 50 years ago, I often told parents: “If you are not resisting practically everything from popular culture, from Hollywood and Madison Avenue, you are not doing your jobs.”
Even then, parents would sigh and complain about how difficult it was to protect their children: “And we don’t want them to be pariahs and feel like dummies, if they don’t know who (e.g. David Cassidy, Robby Benson, Black Sabbath, etc.) is.”
Looking at the presidencies of 1964-2020, one can easily see that DEMS and Leftism have continued to steamroll their way through American Life. In the last 32 years, the 16 years of DEMS under Billy Jeff Clinton and MAObama obviously sent America downhill, but the 16 years of the Bush family did little to resist them, and in some cases gladly joined with them to continue the decline.
President Trump tried his best to stop them, as we know, but…
And so, since 1960…
Abortion, atheism, unbridled sexuality, restricting more and more of our greatest basic freedoms, massive taxation, crony and rigged-market economies, unconstitutional government restrictions, racial politics, etc. all come from our Leftist/Communist DEM Party.
And they continue to claim that we are in a decline because they are not 100% in control!
So if one believes that America and the West are going downhill, it is because Conservative principles as delineated in our Constitution and Judeo-Christian morality as described in our religions have been abandoned by too many of our fellows, especially in our institutions.
And so, the question remains: If you know that your society is in decline, can you reverse it?

Perhaps an oddity but I naturally trended to being adverse to group-think and government control and oppression in the 60’s and little has changed in that regard over the decades. Individual freedom, liberty, morality and faith have remained strong but of course going against the group has had a price. Still here though, they haven’t killed me yet. God willing it will be in battle. It’s close now, I can smell it.
IMO, what we’ve seen in recent times cannot be unseen. It has gone beyond the pale. There are those who will fight and die for the cause and there will be others who will survive without that baggage to resolve remaining differences and soldier on following the high road.
In time, presuming evil and tyranny doesn’t triumph, differences will fade and people will get along once again. It won’t happen on the current trajectory though, not without a lot of death and destruction.
We’ve endured a lot already at the hands of the Communists. Death, illness, poverty, enslavement, disenfranchisement, on and on. It’s time for those humans to feel the pain they’ve inflicted, personally. Send them to God. His will be done.

Sacrifices are made by those fighting it while it still exists but when a group of people make up their minds to accomplish something that will make a change in how things are going and what will happen.
To teach the idea that our Western European Christian culture is done for and that we can not do a thing about it part of the teachings that discourage people to fight.

Yes, you are quite correct: I used to tell my A.P. European History students that “Forces of History” do not exist, i.e. there is no impersonal mathematics or physics of History causing things.
History is – quite simply – the story of the decisions made by individuals over a period of time.
No outside force was involved in e.g. the ravages of Genghis Khan. If the individuals within earshot of his voice had decided not to gallop thousands of miles with him to kill and terrorize people, then he is a nobody. Each one of his horsemen decided to follow him individually: they were not robots.
On that basis, one can also say that History is a result of those decisions, and that the planet is always changing thereby.
Consider the island of Britain/England: there have been many versions of “England,” from warring Celtic tribes, to the Roman province, to the warring Anglo-Saxon kingdoms, etc. each contributing positive and negative things to future versions of England.
Yet over time, those versions show a rough, roller-coaster evolution toward improvement…although one can easily criticize the current political situation as a trough or backward step in that evolution.

I’ve probably watched SNL 2 or 3 times – never liked it at all – thought it was a waste of time – not funny and no talent
Try watching any of the “Celebrity Jeopardy” skits on SNL.
SNL had a best by period of about 6 years after it’s inception. After that it was all downhill. Quit watching it during the early eighties.
Watched for two years, in the “T.V. Lounge” in college. The room was packed and it was funny! So many talented people on that show. Caught it again 3 or 4 years later…not as funny (could have been me…) and not as talented. Tried again 5 or so years later…Not funny, but are they going for “edgy?” 5 years later, NOT FUNNY, NOT TALENTED. Then married, had 4 kids, sleep was more important. So now, all I hear/read is how woefully untalented and unfunny it is.
Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, Eddie Murphy, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, and a couple of others. Yes, the early seasons were darned funny to me.

As for our children, they’ve crossed a terrible God angering line here. Remains to be seen how deep the push bar will be. But I’ll say this. I believe the “authorities” have absolutely no idea what’s coming when/if they try to force the life ruining vax on our Gifts from God. None at all.
It’s easy…it’s our hill to die on…and I will take as many of them as I can with me when that time comes…enough of us do this…they will quickly run out of people willing to try.

From my ex Air Traffic Controller point of view – what an excellent response. There are a finite number of employees – and the type of job you can’t bring someone in off the street, sit them down and have them know what to do or how to do it. You can bring in someone who is off duty – you can bring someone in from another facility – but every time you do this the work force shrinks and traffic slows more.
What’s to wonder – is this part of the globalist plan? or is it the Law of Unintended Consequences? While you can potentially suffer thru fights with your school board or wonder how to stay out of the hospital, halting or slowing air traffic affects many people all at once. Pilots and passengers cruising along at 30 K ft have to wonder ‘will they do it to me now?
I ask – why aren’t the unions defending their people? Where are the ATC union heads? the Pilot union? the Teachers union? and more? i am sure there are other gummit employees unions, too how did the postal works get to be exempt? no delay of theirs is going to endanger anyone’s life – imagine that..

Nah – not high stress. We were a small airport (as compared to a large metro airport) and other than a few times of day, relatively quiet. The airlines with 100s of passengers went elsewhere.
But that doesn’t mean I have no knowledge or understanding of the situation elsewhere. Also, I have no more knowledge of the events in Jacksonville than you do, but I suspect it was not the Control Tower operators who walked off the job (tho they may have also). If the wx really was clear pilotss can and do separate themselves.
There is an unseen bunch of controllers who work in windowless rooms with radar scopes and computers. They don’t handle traffic coming in to land, or take off, or move about on the surface. They pick up a departing flight handed over on a heading and altitude – or turn inbound flights over to the Tower at a specified location and altitude.
I am sure much has changed in the years since, but back then each person was responsible for a sector (a quadrant of the surrounding airspace if you can imagine…) Aircraft following airways (highways in the sky) in a specified direction and altitude sending a transponder signal were in communication with the controller . Controllers can ‘see’ other traffic in the area and can ensure safe separation. They can also ‘see’ if someone unauthorized ‘appears’ on the radar – tho they may not know the altitude. At least the pilot can be ‘advised’ of a potential hazard.
So you can imagine how ‘lost’ the pilot will feel if that ‘observer / controller’ on the ground tracking / following the known traffic suddenly says ‘bye’. These big aircraft will have onboard radar – but what about flying around thunderstorms – or climbing – or descending – or going into a holding pattern ( a oval in the sky) when you are in the dark or in the clouds?
Um – as a pilot i gotta say it’s a big gulp. and that’s about the mildest term i will use here.
Cancelled flights are one thing – everyone is safely on the ground. I think about the flights enroute who are in the airspace controlled by those controllers. If you are in the clear you can get somewhere safely. And since there are no crashes reported that happened.
My guess- the controllers refused incoming flights and got enroute flights out of their area.
PS – I would have walked out too. I was in DC in another FAA capacity when Reagan fired the controllers. While i admired him for many things he did, the Controllers concerns then were valid and worthy of attention. They were being ignored then as they are being ignored now IMHO. I don’t know that the original problems were corrected, and i’d bet my last dollar new concerns have accumulated. The ‘clot shot’ is merely one more straw on the camel’s back

Earlier in the year there was a directive from somewhere in the FFA that there would be diversity quotas for ATCs…stories from well qualified applicants who had been turned down in favor of their diverse brethern. I know per your comment about the Reagan era mass firings, which I remember well, that you are far way from current issues. But that story dropped off the radar pretty quickly. Might you have any idea if the r any updates on this issue? Just out of curiosity.
No – i am far from that life – have been since the early 1980s. But i like you have noted the effort to ‘diversify’. The sad part is we WERE diversified – then and now. The problem is to those in charge ‘diversity’ is another one of those words that doesn’t mean what we think it means. It means hiring someone not qualified to do the job. In some cases it also means someone not capable of doing the job. The process has nothing at all to do with race, creed or color.
Unfortunately the problem is not limited to the gummit.
This was my view as well. “Diversity is what we say it is”. Qualified for the job doesn’t seem to figure in that, as I’m reading it. And that’s extremely scary.

We are overwhelmingly white and Asian, upper middle class, and Democrat. Probably 99% are college-educated – with majority holding a graduate degree.
As of the beginning of September we were 70 percent vaxxed with a soft mandate – you were not allowed on any company property without the vaxx.
Supposedly, we are now at 80% facing a fed contractor mandate.
My point is the majority of the country are less likely to get vaxxed and we were only at 70%.

The Coronavirus is the cold. It is the common cold. That is literally Cov-1, the first identified.
There has been a push on for a LONG time within very powerful organizations run by VERY wealthy folks to yes, weaponize it- but, more importantly: weaponize the fear of it and thus emphasize and then ‘authorize’ a mass-injection of very bad things.
First Coronavirus- it is a very specific form of virus, that has a nasty way of attaching itself to cells. Viruses are already even sketchy on being classified as a ‘life’ form, by what science has used as the definition for ‘life’ for over a century. It is closer to what we consider a computer program (or even an ant, which IS alive, but also odd). Fungi are another nether branch of ‘is it or isn’t it alive?’, but viruses are tough.
However, the ‘Coronavirus’ can replicate itself VERY fast to avoid an actual vaccination. THIS is why they even attempt to offer a ‘Cold vaccine’ the way they do a flu vaccine (several times a year, at that). Actual scientists who use the ‘Scientific Mehtod’ (500 years old, now) have already agreed on this- the cold is the cold, get used to it, per se.
BUT- the Coronavirus thus offers a few very valuable properties to certain ‘governments’.
Take, say- communism (or even socialism or socialized medicine). The most expensive things in a communist society are: elderly, sickly or infirmed people. They simply cannot work. And so- they must be cared for. This angers the elites there. From Lenin to Stalin, from Castro to Mao, from Kim to Xi: they want you to work, for them. NOW. ALWAYS.
IF you could create a virus that not ONLY has a decent habit of killing off the infirmed/elderly and very sick (lung disease, diabetes, etc.)- imagine China, as an example. Now, the VERY aging society (asians tend to live about 10-20% longer than western civs) dies off, at a much faster rate. Also, the ‘one-payer’ medical system rids itself of having to constantly pay for sick people. But, MORE IMPORTANTLY-they’ve found:
If you can use that virus and some inlaid paranoia, specifically pushed in a state-controlled media narrative, you can cause a panic so strong that DESPITE the obviousness to actual science that it is NOT, say- a smallpox, or a Spanish Flu, etc- people will line up to take a risky and possibly sterilizing or even murderous injection, under the guise of a ‘vaccination’.
For a cold. Which can’t be vaccinated against, anyways.
The second reason (the shot) then protects the elites themsels: the risk of an ACTUAL heinous virus so bad it could be uncontainable and then hurt THEM or THEIR families is nil. It only kills/maims (by reducing your own bodies’ natural immunity system, which has worked throughout history) the people who take the shot. The upper-ups just smile, show pictures of themselves ‘taking’ the shot and shame, shame, shame those who do not. Those who resist will be labeled ‘killers’ or ‘spreaders’- of…. the cold.
The Coronavirus is a cold. And Cov-19 is a longtime, well funded attempt to weaponize it.
Fauci’s own ‘celebrated’ history (of failure!) with AIDS made him a perfect candidate to not only aid the weaponization- but, aid the promotion of the weapon. Which is the shot.

Apparently, NIH is recommending IVM for covid treatment on their web site. The first drug listed on this page is Remdesivir, but scroll down and the second page has Ivermectin.

Will they implement a new, stronger currency to replace the increasingly worthless federal reserve notes? Will the IRS still be recognized as the mafioso enforcers/collectors/confiscators? Any one those plus others can kick off Violence on the part of our former oppressors.
I hope you are right that it’s coming- in the meantime, I need to get to a good state (FL is the goal). I think Utah recognizes gold/silver as legal tender. I’m willing to live in a barter situation if I have to–I just refuse to be a part of their new system (digital currency/cashless society). What we really need is a people’s reset.
Years ago, I read this book “They Own it All (Including You) – By Means of Toxic Currency” https://newpeopleorder.com/ and I think I’m going to have to dig it out again as a refresher on how they pulled this off (we need to understand how they trapped us into this system, so we don’t get trapped again). At the end of Bill Still’s The Money Master documentary, he says that most politicians don’t understand our monetary system, so if we expect them to set up a new currency outside the control of the central bankers, then they need to get educated too. (Ellen Brown’s book Web of Debt is a good one too)
Also, I’ve been doing a lot of research into banking and how they took over and it seems like the US govt just got further and further into debt to the international bankers. They kept deferring things out to the future and putting up more and more collateral-there have been other resets that we aren’t aware of.
