If this event has done nothing else, it appears to have deepened the divides and added to the hardening of people in certain ways.
And most republicans worship the state as well, especially if it is wearing a military uniform. Stop pretending that one side or the other is the ultimate and only bad guy. They are both completely worthless. Historically, the republicans have an even worse pedigree than the democrats. The democrats at least once were the party of Jefferson and fought for small government and individual liberty. The GOP is descended from the Federalists and the Whigs, who were nothing but crony-capitalists who believed in the power of big government to help out big business. Indeed, the Progressive movement of the late 1800s/early 1900s destroyed and infected/infested both major parties, but the GOP was no prize to begin with ….starting with their first president, the war criminal Lincoln.

I don’t understand how things got turned so upside down. I feel like I’ve been a rebel all of my life. As a kid, I was totally against the Vietnam War, as we had young guys from our neighborhood go there and get killed. As a young man, I never trusted the government or the mainstream media. This contributed greatly to my eventual support for Donald Trump, given that he was not a politician. I waited my whole life for a non-politician president.
What happened to the decent people like myself that didn’t support the wars? How did they turn into tyranical fascists? They went from hating the government to being worse than the government they hated.
They got a taste of power and will now do anything to keep it.
I was raised to trust and respect the police. Then one day a neighbor made a report to the police about what they thought was happening in my home. The police came at night, warrant in hand. Nothing found, all taken downtown for the night. All released the next morning. No charges ever filed. All a big misunderstanding. No hard feeling. But I never, and I mean never looked at the police the same way again. I call 911 to make sure I cross all my “T’s” and dot all my “I’s”, or I will feel their full rath.
The answer is more simple than you think. Even the hippies during Vietnam were raised generally in a Christian household. When they went out into a society, the people they interacted with were still anchored with Christian morals (even if they weren’t believers). Because we’ve moved so far from that for so long now, the decay we are seeing now in society is what is seen when man is left to be his own god.

I have done some reading about police corruption in Australia, starting with a book loaned to me by an Australian, quite a few years ago.
One has to bear in mind that there are fewer people in Australia than there are in New York State, for instance, so a small number of corrupt police is a large number.
I can’t remember the title of that book, but my point is I don’t think Australians ever had the warm, fuzzy relationship with police that many Americans do.

I, personally, won’t pay extra for “organic” because I have a very hard time believing anyone could really keep track of it from farm to store without it becoming inorganic. I will eat organic foods but won’t pay the difference.

My father retired as a Suffolk County, Long Island police captain after 20 years. He immediately moved to Wyoming and became a part time cowboy and country rock drummer.
I worked as a State of Florida correctional officer for a short time.
From my experience, if these cops are this tyrannical out in public I shudder to think how monstrous Australian correctional officers are!

There have always been zealots. People who must control and dominate other people. They gravitate to positions that amplify their natural cravings. History is replete with examples of police doing unthinkable things because their masters order them and down deep, they enjoy it. I cannot imagine beating someone with a baton or kicking them while they are on the ground. But many police do it and never waver. I have known good LE personnel but they don’t last long. Their stories could fill volumes.
These police have chosen sides. They’ve chosen poorly.
It’s now only a matter of time before they start to fall from people that have had enough of this.
They won’t get much sympathy either.

I have thought long and hard at WHY the globalist scum are purging the ranks of hospitals, military, education was mostly purged long ago, law enforcement, the middle class assets so to speak, etc. The ONLY conclusion I can come up with is “they” are working very hard at the New World Order, a.k.a. The Great Reset. And in order to be successful they must damage as many of the noncompliant as possible. They must destroy their livelihoods in order to weaken them. It’s the same thing as physically beating people, torture, just mental, financial, psychological torture. Although, the physical torture comes later for the holdouts. There is no other reason I can find that makes any sense. The Green New Deal is more of the same – destroy the energy sector. The tax on mileage that is proposed, same thing. The pile up of shipping containers off the coast of California – same thing – create shortages to make the people suffer. Destabilize the interior of the country with unchecked illegal immigration. Even now, they’re trying to hoist their “domestic terrorist” narrative upon 90% of America’s land mass where 50-60% of the people live – the Deplorables, folks outside the metro areas, the rural folk, the people who cling to their guns and Bibles. They want us to bow in submission and they are attacking us from all angles.
I do not know that there is a simple answer to our current situation. But, as has been said here, RESIST TO THE EXTREME. THEY WILL NOT WIN THIS WAR AGAINST US. Every day I attempt to live my best life and ignore the insanity around me. I live my freedom of choice every day. I refuse to comply and I pray for all of us.

What is WRONG with all the police officers in Australia? Do they not have minds? Do they not have morals? Are they all brainless thugs? For solutions to our present problems, please obtain and read “Unintended Consequences” by John Ross. This book was first published in the 1990s and was quite popular with those who recognized the abuses of government power. This book is quite lengthy (800+ pages) but encompasses lessons in history, law, ethics and a good story line which offers possible and doable “solutions” to our present problems with overbearing government.
When this book was first published, sellers were routinely harassed by government types for exposing the negative acts of government agents (FBI, DEA, ATF and others).
This book is available on Amazon, originals are quite pricey, but is well worth the read. It has been re-released in paperback and is available as a free PDF on the internet.
It would not surprise me if Australia, New Zealand, and other country’s repressive governments banned this book as the ideas represented in it are viable and if implemented restore power to the people.
