Australians, who attempt to protest the COVID lockdowns and forced vaccinations, are subject to being shot, beaten, arrested and in come cases of female victims, sexually assaulted by police officers. Australia has descended into totalitarianism, and is now easily the most dystopian state in the former free democratic world.
The Taliban in Afghanistan are mild compared to the police units operating in many cities including Melbourne and Sydney. Checkpoints are commonplace everywhere, and quarantine camps for the non-compliant have been established. It is beyond absurd.
None of the police are Morrison’s. The police forces are state’s own, independent of the Commonwealth (Federal) government. Each state government controls its police force. All the images of police violence you are seeing are coming from one jurisdiction, the state of Victoria. And within the state of Victoria, the police heavy-handedness is taking place only in its capital city, Melbourne. Victoria is a big place, being about the same size as the UK and life outside Melbourne is just fine. The Premier of Victoria is Daniel Andrews, a very left wing career politician. The ad parodies the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, who is a Christian center-right politician. The target should be Victoria’s authoritarian Premier Daniel Andrews. It is Andrews who has used emergency legislation to carry out actions that contradict the principles spoken of by Morrison. The left would love to bring down Morrison. Until that happens, Australia has not fallen.

It’s okay to be annoyed – I’m 69, an Australian/American & I’m doubly annoyed, particularly because I will not have the Jab, have already had Covid, have a blood clotting Disorder, but apparently will never be able to visit my family in Australia ever again. States’ rights is a convenient excuse for doing nothing while personal freedom is obliterated. Worse, no federal government has actually cared about states’ rights for decades. Sometimes they say nice things but always they centralise power. Name one or two examples of the federal government yielding power to states… you will have difficulty.
In the US, federal government was supposed to guarantee rights. Of course, we now have the Socialist distortion of that but the true basic rights are a good idea.

How about when a state law isn’t even a law passed by the legislature, but just an executive mandate or directive??
Well, in Australia, any directive given by the executive branch must be authorised by a law, there is no equivalent of a US presidential executive order. So if the particular law isn’t bad then legally the directive won’t be either. But the directive might yet be bad factually.
So for example say a law says a particular directive can be made only if a condition is true. If the directive is given when the condition is false, the directive is bad.
OK, so, trying to understand this…..what law authorizes mask mandates??
I’m not certain. The NSW health directives are supported by the NSW Public Health Act. At the federal level, the Governor-General has declared a human biosecurity emergency under the Commonwealth Biosecurity Act s 475. This gives the federal Health Minister emergency personal powers (ss 474, 477).
At the state level, I think the NSW Governor has declared something similar but I don’t know which legislation was used, I haven’t had a chance to chase it up. There might be something analogous which would give the NSW Health Minister emergency powers.
I’m not convinced that the federal emergency was validly declared on the facts available but that is a different story.
I think the mask mandates in NSW would be authorised by one or more directives from the NSW Health Minister, and the directives by the Public Health Act. But whether there is a valid chain of authorisation from the particular directive all the way back to the NSW Constitution, I don’t know yet. If the facts don’t support the Governor-General’s declaration, they probably also don’t support the analogous declaration by the NSW Governor (presuming one was made).
The first NSW mask mandate (commenced 3 Jan 21, expired 2 Apr 21) was made under Public Health (COVID-19 Mandatory Face Coverings) Order 2021, authorised under Public Health Act 2010 (NSW) s 7.
The justification given for the existence of a public health risk was given in clause 4 of the Order:
4 Grounds for concluding there is a risk to public health
The basis for concluding that a situation has arisen that is, or is likely to be, a risk to public health is as follows—
(a) public health authorities both internationally and in Australia have been monitoring and responding to outbreaks of COVID-19, which is a condition caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2),
(b) COVID-19 is a potentially fatal condition and is highly contagious,
(c) a number of cases of individuals who have contracted COVID-19, including by community transmission, have now been confirmed in Greater Sydney and there is an ongoing risk of continuing introduction of COVID-19 into the New South Wales community.
Each of those statements on their face are sorta or mostly true so they wouldn’t be very easy to challenge legally. But they omit the fact that a flu outbreak could pretty much fall under the same justification. So the public could be forgiven for thinking that the government response to the china virus is excessive.
And don’t forget that the ban on hydroxychloroquine came from federal, not state. Same as ivermectin.

I have had the misfortune to have to call the police twice here in LA. I am pleased to report that the police were absolutely incredible and handled both incidents with professionalism. I felt completely “rescued.” Do not get rid of the decent, kind, professional policemen. We need them. They are truly heroes.

As for the balloon/paint attacks… love it. Some thoughts:
Varnish. It is easily the worst to deal with. It dries awful, it WILL jam the receivers/chambers of weapons, it tends to stick more than anything else (especially while rubbing it, form experience), the smell is HEINOUS and can be disorienting and it is murder on exposed skin. By the time it gets to exposed eyes/mouth or even hair- it will incite fury and panic. You can just pour some in after the paint, each one- to save weight, money and time in preparation.
Also- a water balloon? Don’t fully fill it and don’t pour it in until the balloon is somewhat inflated, so that it pops. If you throw a tied off strong ballon with liquid in it, it may well just land, safely.

Morrison’s first “pandemic” mistake was to create the National Cabinet of him (Federal) and the State Premiers. Well, the Premiers went gung ho over their new found powers with daily sermons of “keeping us safe” delivering undemocratic, unscientific, health and livelihood damaging lockdowns, masks and distancing, coupled with the threats of police enforcement (brutality). Let’s hope the exposure of these despicable acts for world viewing will make the political class here pull their heads in. It has been a HUGE LESSON for Australians of just how easily our freedoms can be taken away.
Morrison has been pushing the jab, or else, forego freedoms. Adverse reactions and deaths from the jab don’t wash well with stepping up to have it. However, because a large percentage of jabbed people don’t suffer, what is going on? Could it be that most of the jabs are placebos? to be followed later by luck-of-the-draw booster shots? Was it Fauci who said another two or three years of this? However who wants to step up for a jab that could either be safe or deadly?
What a lovely way to be governed? The politicians are either ignorant, dumb or comfortable with what’s going on.

I’m going to cover a couple of comments in this one response.
The abuse of power in the State of Victoria has been ongoing since the first lockdown. There is an extremely long list of reprehensible incidents so I will give you just a few. Young disabled woman fined, while buying food, because the nearest grocery store was outside her travel limit; Very heavily pregnant women taking a breather on a park bench during her 1 hour (escape from captivity) exercise time, during summer, told to move on; Elderly women abused
and threatened for sitting on a park bench; A 75 year old Vet harassed and arrested for exercising in the park; A young women (who had a mask exemption) choked, knee on neck and arrested for not wearing a mask; 12 year old girl assaulted and arresting for not wearing a mask (children are exempt); A man in his 30’s (who suffers with Bi Polar) whilst being held down by a number of officers was kicked and had his head stomped on resulting in him being admitted to hospital and put into a coma; Obviously pregnant woman on beach tackled by a number of Officers, starts bleeding, the Police ignore this when it’s brought to their attention,continue to hold her down and she miscarries; Children being sprayed with capsicum spray; Rubber bullets being indiscriminately fired at grandmothers, women and children; Firing live ammunition through a car window because the driver breached curfew; A 75 year old woman thrown to the ground and pepper sprayed in the face from inches away – all of this and much much more BEFORE the Unions and Truckers got involved.
To be honest it’s nice to see the men stand up in numbers as it has been women, children, those with disabilities and the elderly up until now who have been predominantly preyed upon. Now that Andrews doesn’t have such a soft target they are bringing in military trained reinforcements. My guess is it’s paid “policing”/mercenaries as a result of Andrews signing Victoria up to the UN Strong Cities Network –.
NSW – Women being assaulted sexually and otherwise by enforcement Officers, children being ripped from their mothers’ arms, military on the streets and also another 100’s more just bought in. Staying at the Marriott…
NT – Military going into the indigenous communities intimidating and threatening to remove their children and stop benefits if they refuse the injection…
