The 20th anniversary of the attacks on 9-11 presents a day to reflect, remember and pay tribute to those we lost. I am sure most of us remember exactly where we were at the moment we found out our nation was under attack by terrorists. Our nation was forever changed by those moments on September 11th, 2001.

Perhaps we can share our memories together as we think about the 20th anniversary of this date.
Where were you on that day? And what memories are most vivid for you?

I was working in midtown Manhattan at the time. The offices I worked in were on the 20-something floor of a building just north of Rockefeller Center on 6th Ave. (aka Ave. of the Americas). The cubicle I sat in was just outside of a conference room on the east side of the building. There had been a meeting going on in the conference room when I arrived. There was a TV in the south wall of the conference room. Someone had turned it on at some point after the first plane had hit the WTC. I was checking the news on my computer. I usually visited FreeRepublic.com. They had several threads running. I let the FReepers I knew know that I was OK. After the second plane hit, very little work was getting done. By noon people were leaving work and heading home. The offices I worked in were then closed for a few days. I think the management told everyone to stay home until Friday or Monday. One of my brothers lives in Manhattan and so I called him to see if I could stay with him. While the phone lines into and out of NYC were overloaded, the lines within NYC were not. He said, “Sure.” It was a beautiful, clear sunny autumn day and I walked the 30 or so blocks to my brother’s home. The streets of Manhattan were very quiet. There was an occasional military aircraft flying overhead.
The next day I took the PATH train back to NJ and then the NJ Transit train to the town I lived in at the time. There was still a palpable feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop. When taking the train into NYC, I would always see the twin towers and get my bearings. It was so strange to see a pillar of smoke for weeks where two buildings used to be. During my daily commute to work I passed through Pennsylvania Station. All along the walls of the corridor that led to 7th Avenue there were pictures of missing people with pleas for information, flowers, shrines. If I stopped to look and read, I was overcome with emotion. These collections of photos and requests were all over the city, not only in Penn Station. For the next few weeks, people in NYC were kind towards and considerate of each other.
There are multiple clues that our own agencies did know and they chose to do nothing about it. I don’t know if we will ever get to the bottom of it or certainly not during my lifetime.
My most vivid memory was I was teaching Human Genetics in Winnipeg. None of us could really concentrate. It was definitely my worst lecture ever. American airplanes diverted from the USA were landing in Winnipeg. We only had one runway that could take the really big airplanes. Every few minutes as I was teaching the building would rumble as these huge airplanes flew over us on their way to the one runway big enough to take them. Each one filled with human beings from all over the world finding sanctuary with us. With each one we wondered if this airplane was being turned into a human bomb to kill us. Students kept getting up and walking out.
I was never so proud to be Canadian as I was that day. Our big brother had been sucker punched and we were helping him back up onto his feet.
I learned two days later that among the dead was a professor from our faculty, Christine Egan. She was in the department of public health and she spent most of her time in the far north working with the Inuit. She was in New York visiting her brother, Michael Egan, because he and his wife were going to go on a vacation. They had a disabled son and she was going to take care of him while they traveled. She had gone to have breakfast in the North Tower with him, a touristy thing. He called his wife and told her they weren’t going to make it out.
Excuse me, but I am sick and tired of the groveling over those killed while the institutions responsible for the safety of all the citizens ignored all the warnings and allowed the massacre. These same institutions are thoroughly insulated from accountability and are in thr process of destroying the most democratic republic to have evet existed.
It is past time we stop these distractions because if we do not, the events of September 11, 2001 will look like a drive-by shooting.
Cold anger at all those who would threaten America and our way of life.
I was a field service guy back then with an extra full day ahead of me. As I was leaving the office, some Clintonistas called to me. They were gathered around a small tv watching replays the second plane hitting the WTC. They knew I kept up with events in the world so they wanted my opinion on who was responsible.
I said “What do you mean, who? You mean this isn’t more defective fuel tank wiring?” (A reference to the TWA 800 shoot down and CIA-FBI cover up.)
On the way to the first client, I was listening to G Gordon Liddy on the radio being thrust into the role of news reporter giving account of the towers collapsing.
I also remember it was a picture perfect day in the mid-west. The secretary for the local church hung a sign on the door announcing the church was open for anyone wishing to come and pray for our country.
It is up to us to keep those memories alive in order to avoid the same mistakes that lead on to those events and, those that derived from them.
?
Funny you should mention that, Val. “Avoiding mistakes that lead to those events…”. Today NYT came out with reporting that the drone strike to “kill terrorists” was in fact a family. Bringing U.S. aid workers to work. Bringing water home for their family. They followed the car for hours. Yay U.S.A!
You don’t miss a chance to cheer on the USA, do you?
Sorry, HB, should have said “Yay, Biden!” (His monkeys, his circus.)
But sadly, people in Afghanistan won’t blame Biden and company…they will blame us.
Lessons We Didn’t Learn from What We Were Forbidden to Say
Twenty years after the jihadist terrorist attacks that redefined our country and triggered a global techno-security system with endless mission creep, we hand our security to the Taliban and China?
America has not learned the lessons of 9/11. The lessons were lost as they were being learned.
Foreign pressure on political leaders in Washington, intellectual laziness or dishonesty in the intelligence community, and political correctness-turned-wokeness made it so.
American society repeated those unlearned lessons as the global pandemic spread from China.
The unlearned lesson goes like this: Trust your instincts about who was responsible for crimes perpetrated against you. Ask tough questions to find out who was behind them, and ruthlessly hold those top enablers accountable. Suspect those who deny the obvious and who discourage honest inquiry. Resist those who abuse their authority and erode constitutional rights in a misguided quest for “security” and “safety.” If you see something, say something loudly and ceaselessly.
In both man-made cataclysms, powerful foreign interests imposed extraordinary pressure to prevent the American public from demanding that the obvious funders and state sponsors be held accountable.
Those “America Last” interests imposed forms of censorship and self-censorship. They did it to prevent the people from asking unwelcome questions and discussing inconvenient truths.
The Trump Administration showed uncommon courage in stomping the establishmentarianism of both political parties by holding the Chinese Communist Party responsible for the pandemic. But it was stomped on in return—not by the Chinese regime as much as the president’s political opponents at home. Within months (and sometimes within days, as a chronology of the narratives proves), American leaders in journalism, politics, health, and science began echoing the Chinese party line.
In many ways, the Muslim Brotherhood line became the Bush 43 Administration line. There was no diverting from it. Normal Muslims in America saw the alliance and knew not to speak out. Terms like “radical Islam,” “Islamist,” and even “jihadist” were pushed out of counterterrorism vocabulary as people squabbled about meanings. The Pentagon’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) practically banned the words from official instruction. The few courageous Muslims who did speak out became isolated as nobodies, with their non-Muslim supporters branded as racists and bigots.
Rather than develop their independent sources, large elements of the intelligence community relied on Brotherhood members for analytical expertise. It was as if the CIA and FBI had hired Communist Party members to analyze the Soviet Union.
It’s just as bad with the pandemic. Recently the Office of the Director of National Intelligence would fairly admit that, without help from the Chinese Communist Party, it could not establish conclusively whether the COVID pandemic originated in Wuhan.
<This willful blindness darkened as the Wuhan epidemic became a global pandemic.
Along with the professional and social peer pressure came mass censorship by China-heavy Big Tech, with Facebook, Twitter, and others suspending, canceling, and otherwise deplatforming people, including the president of the United States.
There would be no honest discussion. No scientific debate. No public inquiry.
So here we are, 20 years after the jihadist terrorist attacks that redefined our country, triggered a global techno-security system with endless mission creep, handing over our Afghanistan sacrifices to the Taliban and Xi Jinping.
We failed to learn the lessons necessary for victory. And as we don our toylike masks and fight one another over whether or not to take experimental vaccines, and enter everybody into an ever-growing global database, we fail yet again to understand those who attacked us all.
Even though, in our inner consciences, we understand very well.
https://amgreatness.com/2021/09/10/lessons-we-didnt-learn-from-what-we-were-forbidden-to-say/
Very much agree! One irony however … “It was as if the CIA and FBI had hired Communist Party members to analyze the Soviet Union.” Point of fact, when Wild Bill looked for Euro smart, language adept folks to form the predecessor of the CIA whom do you think he found and employed?
Our WW2 policy was scripted in Moscow.
Couldn’t agree more. I am done with the enshrinement of *9/11*. Allow families of the dead to grieve in private; how many unrelated can name a single name? We watch ceremonies reminding us of deaths but silence the voices that teach the motives of their murderers.
Islamists still shouting death to America and our Generals are nice to them; the oval office indulges and equips the religion to pretend it’s a nation. The evidence was a President who declared “America is not a Christian nation” and bowed to a Muslim nation. Joe Biden has all but kissed the very same! the very same men Obama released from our Guantanamo prison then sent via safe passage on our military plane to return and finish what they started 20 years ago.
Coincidence? Remarkably, in time for the 20 year mark, Obama and Biden create the Islamic victory by the very same Muslim men. Next comes an “Islamic nation”. Followed by a seat at the UN. Appeasement? Or deliberate positioning?
I will not be sitting in my fox hole listening to *9/11* speeches that have no testimony of our victory over the very Islamists that murdered the people you continually mourn. The killers confessed and set free, by Obama the Deceiver.
Today I will ignore the ceremony, I will be discussing how to unseat everyone who, in spite of bin Laden’s 2 hour video he sent to multiple branches of our government (6 copies made) telling us exactly what his plans were to destroy us, our government pretended it didn’t believe the man they knew well.
Are we depending on Trump instead of God?
2024 is decades into the future. They will never allow him to be president in the WH again.
Talk about that today instead of the dead whose unfortunate and shocking deaths have taught us……? Zip.
Sound the alarm, stop reburying the dead, twenty ceremonies have missed the important message of the event; the Muslims aren’t done with their bloody attacks on America nor of their torturing of Christians.
The man seated now in our oval office transferred our weapons, you paid for, to the very same men who confessed masterminding *9/11*, who swore to destroy us and to “establish Islam across the face of the whole earth.” He and Obama and others have equipped Islam, under a pretext of leaving Afghanistan, (create chaos) when the new government in Afghanistan is the identical men that 20 years ago on this anniversary killed the ones you mourn today. America, this is double mindedness, a sickness embraced as mourning. Let’s rather hear about Obama’s crafty complicit prisoner swaps and allegiance to Islam but not to America.
Retired Magistrate here: I was in my office at the Court House writing a decision and listening to my transistor radio when a news flash came on and said a plane had hit the World Trade Center. The newscaster said it was probably a horrible accident until the second plan hit the other tower. Then we all knew we were under attack.
I left my office and went in to talk to the Judge I worked for and told him. We discussed how we would handle the rest of the day. My docket was full and so was his. We both decided that the best way to handle the situation would be to carry on; mourn, but carry on. The next several days were a blur. I was scheduled to go to a continuing education conference which was not cancelled so I attended. On our breaks we would all watch the news to see if the first responders had rescued anyone else. The whole situation seemed to be surreal. How could this happen in America?
The next several weeks were filled with flags flying and people who had not attended church in years going to church and praying for the safety of our country. Unfortunately, that did not last long. All too soon the question was “what have we done wrong that they hate us so” and if we are nice to them they will be nice to us. So here with are today with our installed thief in chief telling us that Islam is the religion of peace and berating Americans for being mean to Muslim Americans.
For one bright shining moment we had a reprieve from this type of thinking; his name was Donald John Trump who was never supposed to be elected, but he was. Then he got elected again, but the powers that be couldn’t have President Trump for another four years so votes were stolen right in front of our eyes and here we are.
I pray every day that this country will turn back to GOD and the principles that this country was founded on. However, my hope this day and every day is in JESUS CHRIST, my Savior.
I was driving to work listening to the radio when they broke into the music and started telling about the plane hitting Tower #1 and the horror. I thought it must be a War of the World type thing but at the same time thinking that type of shock broadcasting was not supposed to ever happen again. When I got to work my boss was standing in front of the TV and he told me to come see just as the 2nd plane hit Tower #2. I ran to the phone to call my 2 friends who had come up to spend the night at my house before heading to Dallas for the Melissa Etheredge concert. I told them to turn on the TV and they better plan on going back home because they were HPD officers and I knew it would be all hands on deck there.
It is my understanding the Israelis did know something was up but the White House refused to listen.
And then there is the Nick Berg affair ..
It was Al Qaeda that brought the tower down, not the Israelis. You want to blame someone blame Osama Bin Laden.
I watched the towers fall straight down into their footprints and remember thinking, ‘no commercial jets could do this.”
Yet they did.
That is correct. The physics of it says, implosion. Looked like one, sounded like one. If it walks like a duck, it’s a duck.
Many people, including some here, cannot seem to understand what you said. Yet here we are, discussing the world wide plot to rule us all, but yet, some cannot put 2 and 2 together, and figure out, that event is what started all of this push for a security state.
Buildings have never fallen like that before, and still haven’t afterwards. That is all that is needed to see the truth.
Thanks. I spent almost a decade believing that only two buildings miraculously fell into their footprints. Then I discovered that a third building, WTC7, fell into its footprint as well. That was my wake up call.
Dr. Judy Wood.
I was 26 years old and at work on Long Island. A co-worker came in and said a plane hit the world trade center. I couldn’t get in touch with anyone because cell service wasn’t working. Once we realized the gravity of the situation I told my boss he needed to send everyone home. I drove to my Mom’s house, which was on the shore. Kept looking at the sky on the drive fearing more planes would come down. The sky was so blue. We could see the smoke from my Mom’s house. I remember when it started to rain during the recovery, I was upset and angry with God for making it more difficult to find survivors. There weren’t any anyway. Then I was angry at the terrorists. And we were so united as a country. We believed the story we were told.
About a month or so ago I learned our own government likely had a role in 9/11. I know I’m late in learning about this. I’m late in learning about all the evil that’s unfolded in our country in the last 20 years. My eyes are open and I have a raging hot anger that I’ve never felt before. I cannot wait for Jesus to return and to see the justice he will serve. It will be a glorious day.
Amen. The only justice I’m waiting for is the Lord’s justice too.
Take up hunting. The way things are going, it’s a skill you may find useful someday. But, hopefully not.
May all that perished in that horrific attack on the USA, Rest in Peace..
I remember – I was in my office in Fort Lee, NJ.. My son who was NYPD, driving home from a 12-8 shift, called and said a plane hit one of the Twin Towers…( We both thought, Ugh some small private plan)… Went to the conference room and turned on the TV… the rest was exactly what we all saw on TV that sad, sad day..
Looking out the office windows, facing the Hudson, you could see the gray smoke from the Towers.
Went to two funerals – one a neighbor and Captain FDNY (body never recovered) – left a wife and 3 children
the other a co-worker”s son, a young Lieutenant FDNY (body was recovered) – left a wife and 3 very young daughters
Sadness and Anger – That was all I could feel… “NEVER (EVER) FORGET”
I was in my second week at a new job in a new town. Watching the catastrophe unfold on the TV in our lunchroom, I was concerned about how this would affect the US economy and eventually my job. My manager was in the middle of a business trip to Seattle and it would take him over a week to return home. I did feel how all Americans came together to collectively give the terrorists the finger that we would not be intimidated by their act.
I was a vocational counselor at Clearfield Job Corps at the time. As I was getting ready to go to work, my stepdaughter called my wife and told her to turn on the tv. If I remember right, the towers were still standing while my wife and I stared at the tv in disbelief. And anger.
When I went to work at the center that day, things were very quiet. The counseling manager said that we might be dealing with some traumatized students; it was up to us to help them work through the tragic events if the need arose. As far as I could tell, most of the students held up fairly well.
I’m a defense contractor supporting the military in an IT role. I was driving to work at a military base operations center. While stuck in traffic and listening to the radio the news interrupts after the first plane hit. When the second plane hit we were clearly under attack.
Traffic getting on to base was getting slower and slower. I made it on to base just as they started raising the security status. Humvees and armed forces ramping up security at the gates just before locking down.
When I got into the Operations center everyone was watching the news unfold on the big screen. The Operations Director gives a speech to everyone saying we are under attack. We need to focus on doing our job and support the missions that are sure to follow.
The message is driven home when people are seen jumping from the towers and then the towers fall. The news is saying 50,000 people normally work in the towers. Discussions break out amongst us trying to calculate how many people may have parished in the collapse. We are hopefully that evacuations reduced the count. The fire fighters and police did an amazing job and best our best estimates by more than I could have imagined, but at the cost of their lives.
We discussed contingency plans for food and sleeping at the Operations center if they locked the base down, or if operational needs called for it. The decision was made to send all but a skeleton crew home in case the Operations center was attacked since we were a potential target. As I drove off base, the main gate was in final lockdown at the highest security level. Military dogs, humvees, sandbags, 50 call machine gun turrets, and lots of armed soldiers.
When I got home to the kids, I explained the situation to them. They were young and a little scared. Flags were going up all around town. You couldn’t find one to buy in the store. The kids and I bought a big poster board and markers and colored an American flag to post outside our house. The swell of patriotic spirit, unity and determination across the country gave me hope.
After a few days working from home we were called back. The tone of the base was still high security at the perimeter. Once inside the wire you could see the flurry of preparations for deployment in support of a military response. A fleet of helicopters were packaged up to be shipped to the Middle East. A bee hive of activity.
A few days later the news shifted to military strikes in Afghanistan…
I was on temporary assignment managing a retail electronics store for a manager on vacay in Mexico with his wife. I believe they had left the day before. I was just humming along doing my thing and all of a sudden there were large crowds of people coming in to watch the tubes, and there was a rush on every TV in the store. I asked what was going on and they told me what happened. I believe both planes had already hit.
We were a quick 20 minute all highway drive from the airport, and before the day was over I also sold every car and house cell phone charger in the place, plus the adapters to turn a car charger into a plug-in electric charger. Most of these sales were to out-of-towners who were stuck trying to figure out how to get home, or wherever they had intended to go, and were also trying to find a hotel/motel to stay in until our world stopped spinning and they could get a plan together. The airport had pretty much emptied them out into my lap. I gave out lots of ideas and directions throughout the day to a temporary populace who were in a massive panic.
It was obscenely busy all day. I barely had time to breathe, or be scared, let alone watch the tubes, until I got home that evening. Needless to say, my temporary management assignment turned into a much longer one as the manager and his wife were grounded in Mexico for quite awhile until we got the all clear that flights could resume.
I was taking the day off work to make for a long weekend.
I remember hearing on the radio them saying that a ‘small’ plane had crashed into one of the Towers.
I turned the TV on to CNN and sat and watched. And sat and watched in disbelief.
I watched that 2nd plane as it headed to the other tower. I really couldn’t believe my own eyes.
That is a day I will never forget.
I believe it was a Tuesday…
It was a Tuesday.
It was a Tuesday in the middle of September. That was one of the horrifying things about it. Nothing ever happens on a clear blue Tuesday in the middle of September.
It was a Tuesday, not Friday.
I was living in Hamburg Germany and had my 4 month old son on my hip when my brother called and told me there was a terrorist attack on America and to turn on the tv. The first plane had hit only moments earlier and I remember asking him why he thought it was an attack and not an accident. Moments later the second plane hit. My architect was visiting and we both watched in disbelief as the towers came down. My best friend was working in a neighboring tower and luckily everyone got out before her building was badly damaged.
My aunt had married her husband a couple of years earlier and I asked him about that day. He founded the mutual fund where the first plane hit. He thought he had lost his son-in-law and the whole office, only later to discover his son-in-law was running late and his brother had stepped into the building to do some unexpected work. A week later I found out that another friend of mine had lost his daughter in the attack. She had worked in my uncle’s mutual fund. Terrible just terrible. These people never recover, it’s just terrible to see the damage still etched on their faces so many years later.
Now I live in a community next to NYC and the parks are full of benches dedicated to their loved ones. It’s hard to believe it was 20 years ago.
I delivered newspapers back then. Was listening to Howard Stern when the first tower was hit. Got home, rushed inside to see what was going on and was just in time to see the second tower get hit. I then watched as people were making their last decision to jump or burn. Sat there with tears rolling down my face and then the towers collapsed.
I worked on the west coast and had pulled a 12 hour shift late into the day prior. I had a short turn around for my next shift when I got the call from my mom, honey, turn on the news. Within minutes of that I saw the second plane hit.
I’d had my suspicions with the first plane because the skies were so clear. When I saw the second plane hit, as everyone, I knew we were under attack.
I remember getting ready for the next shift, crying and softly singing “Proud to be an American”. I couldn’t get that song out of my head. That song, prayers and tears encompassed my day.
“And I’ll gladly stand up, next to you, and defend her still today.
For there ain’t no doubt, I love this land. God Bless the USA”
I was in my midtown office and heard the first jet fly over. I remember calling across the hall to a buddy in another office about never hearing an aircraft so loud. A couple minutes later, he called over to me about a message from his wife about that jet hitting the WTC.
Later that day, after Grand Central was reopened for outbound traffic, I got on a train and grabbed a window seat by the doors. Two guys with dust on their suits and shoes sat across from me. They had walked to GCT from Ground Zero.
No one was talking in our car. I remember how quiet it was. I also remember seeing hundreds if not thousands of American flags flying from practically anything that could take a flag. To those I just pointed to the dusty guys. They nodded, and we all went back into our thoughts.
It was a beautiful day in Ohio, not a cloud in the sky. I had just finished loading a dozer to move to another job. My youngest Son was home on leave after finishing AIT at Ft Sill and was watching tv on the couch. He saw the second plane hit the Tower and called me. Everything came to a stop here in Cleveland for about an hour. One of our crews saw the plane that would end up in Shanksville turn over Cleveland. My Son spent the next 20 years either fighting or getting ready to fight. Thanks to GOD that he made it home alive. He and his buds bought us 20 years of Freedom. I hope we used it wisely. May GOD bless our United States of America, and all the TROOPS, may HE give the Fallen Familys Peace, and please, always Remember! Note to Newsmax……when you allowed the fraud that resides in the White House and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN on the tv is when I turned you off! REDHORSE!!!
I was on a business trip in Roseville CA at Hewlett Packard learning about some new enterprise computer system. I remember stepping out of the shower and hearing what I thought was a couple of shock jocks on the radio alarm clock talking about planes crashing into buildings. When I turned the TV on the first image I saw was 1 WTC tower smoldering and the other one was gone, it was very disorienting. When I got to class an hour late, because I was glued to the TV, I was surprised to see that everyone was there, head down studying. I said to everyone in the class of about 10-12 engineers “what are you people, a bunch of machines? Don’t you know what’s going on in NYC?”
The class was finally canceled on Thursday so I packed up and drove to Reno for a little gambling and planning to return to San Francisco for my flight to Houston that Friday night. I called my wife as I stepped into the casino and held the phone up so she could hear the slot-machine bells clanging saying “guess where I’m at? ” She said “get your ass home right now, there have been other threats and all of the flights in the US have been canceled.” So I immediately did an about-face and hopped into my rental car, a Mustang convertible (just luck of the draw), stopped at a 7/11 and bought a thermos filled with coffee and a paper map. That was about 11pm when I began the ~2300 mile journey home. I didn’t call Hertz to let them know for fear they would want the car returned to SFO. BTW, a mustang convertible is not the best car to be driving at high speeds long distance. There were stretches of desert road where I hit 110mph, the fastest I’ve ever driven a car.
Funny thing is that when I returned the rental car at the Houston Airport, the Hertz rental lot was overflowing with cars from seemingly every state in the country. Apparently we all had to drive home that week.
On September the 11th, 2001, I saw death flying in on wings, saw leapers sometimes hand in hand, debris splattered people running, goodbye calls recorded, screams, and the towers collapsing. I saw sacrifices, selfishness, and fears. I saw the best in America and the worst. I saw and I will not forget. God bless us that we never see such again.
Even if a plane fuselage could smash through steel girders, its wings certainly cannot. Yet that is what we are told to believe happened. Have another look at the marks left by the planes on the two towers. I don’t know what did happen but wings did not make the marks we’re told they made.
Um, it happened exactly like we were told….and saw.
Nice content-free reply. Well done.
If you look at the Pentagon strike, and see the alleged wing traces, you might care to calculate the depth of engines beneath the wings, and ask yourself why there were no furrows in the ground?
@Amber- fwiw- the documentary September Clues looks at the issue you mentioned. Some have said there’s a problem with the crash physics–they studied the footage of the plane going into one of the towers, specifically looking at the speed of the plane as it approached and then went through the building–there should have been a change in speed, simply because the plane was meeting resistance (as in the building). The photo here looks strange: https://www.unz.com/article/9-11-was-a-straussian-coup/
The first thing that entered my mind when my husband called to tell me to turn on the tv because a plane had just hit the WTC, ‘Mr. Will was right.’
I had a wonderful history teacher in high school, Mr. Will. There were planes being hijacked and threats of bombs on planes. He told us every plane is a bomb, loaded with jet fuel and flown into a target, it is a flying bomb. He said someday terrorist will use these bombs to terrorize Americans. He also stated their first target would be the World Trade Center. Their second target would be Washington DC.
Mr. Will was right and he prepared me for everything that is happening. God Bless the USA.
Did Mr. Will tell you what year will the US collapse?
Many thought Mr. Will was just a crazy/angry old man.
Not me.
I understood the scowl on his face was frustration. He understood the past and was trying to enlighten the future.
Rest in peace Mr. Will, some of us understand.
I know we had multiple reports of Muslim communities celebrating in Hamburg Germany. The place where Mohammed Atta was educated.
In addition to practicing law, I was teaching a course in a local university that day. I saw the attacks on TV before I left, and called in to see if classes were cancelled. They weren’t at that time, so I took the commuter train into Philadelphia. It stopped at the 30th Street station, and the conductor announced all trains were suspended. I called the university again, and it was closing, so I took the subway out to the transit center at the edge of the city – along with thousands of other people from the trains who were also trying to get home. The transit center was packed, and a lot of the train riders had no idea which bus line would be close to their usual train line.
While I waited for a bus that would take me near my home, I saw a young man walking up and down the bus bays shouting, “If you take the Media-Elwyn line, take the 104 or 126..if you take the the Paoli line, take the 105…..” He wasn’t a transit authority worker, just a college-age kid helping out.
I then decided the suburban trolley line was the best way home for me. When several people got out at my stop, one man said, “My wife is coming to pick me up. I any of you live near Ardmore, we can drop you off.” When she arrived, several of us piled into the car, and she did drop us off along the way, saving me a two-mile walk.
I later learned that one of the lawyers I knew from another law firm went down to the street and found out the intersection was blocked (“blocking the box” it’s called) because too many cars had made it half-way through the intersection. So he simply went out into the middle of the intersection and started directing traffic. He managed to get the intersection cleared, so normal traffic could resume.
People just jumped in and did what they could where they were. They looked at the situation, and realized, “I can do something about this.” No one told them what to do; they just realized they had a skill or some resources to use in an emergency situation. We’ve seen it again in the Cajun Navy coming to help flood victims, but otherwise, it seems to have been lost along the way.
We need it back, now more than ever.
YES.
I was thinking about my deceased father on his birthday when I heard the news. My thoughts were that we were under attack and that my biggest fear would be that we would lose a whole lot of our freedom over it as I figured our government would overreact with restrictions on us. Boy was I right. I just never thought we would lose our entire country through the stolen election. I could never have thought that was possible.
I was at home. It was my day off. Wife was at work, kids at school, I slept in and got up turned on the tv for background and news minutes before the plane struck the second tower. I was sitting glued to the news reporting and camera showing the damage from the first when the second struck on live tv. I don’t think I moved or did anything for hours watching the days events unfold. It was too surreal even after growing up and living in OKC and losing people I knew in the Murrah Building bombing. Within seconds of turning on the tv that day I already knew who was behind it if not by name by ideology or rather religion.
As an aside… We’re told the two towers were designed to withstand the impact of the smaller 727 (or 707?), which I accept. I have never seen what the designers expected a 727 impact to look like. Did they expect a 727 would penetrate the tower building? or crumple into the building exterior and fall down onto the street? Does anyone know what the designers expected?
Not the place for this. Today we are remembering. Stop with this nonsense.
Suppressing discussion is never healthy. We are capable of doing two things at once.
Concur
An insistence on Group Think is the hallmark of our collectivist enemies.
It’s TEXT, I don’t have to read “nonsense.”
@Amber- I just listened to a documentary that was posted on Darren Beattie’s twitter yesterday (“The New Pearl Harbor (full documentary)(9/11)”)- posted on the Lunar Monkey youtube channel, and at some point, they interviewed one of the designers of the buildings and how he expected it to withstand a hit from a plane, but that the fuel would cause fires (no expectation that the towers would explode and collapse in a synchronized fashion at free fall speed, such that each floor met no resistance as it fell). Unfortunately, I can’t remember at what point in the documentary that segment was.
I’m guessing you won’t see this but I found that video and the part you mention was around 2 hours 56/57 minutes in, IIRC. Thank you.
TY nwtex. That may be the 1st time I have heard from Our REAL First Lady since they were illegally forced into exile.
Was in a trench installing water main when a truck driver pulled up and said the tower was hit by a plane. This driver listened to Mancow so I immediately thought Orson Welles “War of the Worlds” type broadcast.
Not to be.
This project was in the landing path to Midway Airport so it was surreal when not one plane landed the next few days.
In any event, may all the thousands who died on the day and in the years following rest in peace. Evil was done that day.
I was living and working overseas on Kwajalein Atoll as a US Army contractor having left the USAF a few years prior…
I received a telephone call at around two in the morning local time by a co-worker who told me to turn on my television…
And I saw the events of September 11th, 2001 play out…all day long…
As the manager of a Video Teleconference Center for the US Army, there had been a weekly video conference scheduled with the Pentagon that day, obviously that conference was cancelled…along with all the other business for that day as well as in the days after…
The world changed that day and stayed changed; and the phrase “new normal” was coined – and here we are now.
And nothing has been normal since.
Did you work with a guy named Kevin Schorzman while you were on Kwajalein?
He stiffed you too?
The name sounds familiar – but it’s been a while, I left there in March of 2002 after having been there since October 1992. I worked in Communications under three different Range contracts during that period of time.
I’m in North Carolina. My sister in Florida called me and told me to turn the TV on. I saw the second plane hit. My husband had left that morning on a flight to Boston and I couldn’t reach him. I didn’t have the TV on that morning because I am a singer and I had a funeral at which to sing…driving to church for the funeral, with the radio on, the pentagon had been hit and rumors were flying. Everyone at the funeral were in shock. Burying a loved one and 9/11 unfolding. Songs that day were “Be Not Afraid,” “May the angels lead you into Paradise,”. I marked them all in my music “9/11”. We all felt the funeral was for the family, for the fallen, and for us…
It was my “duty period” at the high school I was teaching at in Pittsburgh, PA..I ran in to chat with the counselor and she told me that two planes had hit the towers, then I heard about the Pentagon..I returned to my 3rd floor classroom and it was chaos..one of the teachers had a tv on in her room and we watched in horror with our students crying, parents calling, etc..My thoughts were to head to my parent’s mountain house if things got bad..then I saw it flash on TV that a plane went down near a lake in Somerset County, PA very close to my parent’s house..most likely flight 93 flew over my parent’s house before crashing.
Was on my way out of the downtown Chicago hospital, where I worked…stopped in a patient’s room to chat…and saw it on TV…gracefully said good bye until tonight and left….(thinking Chicago is next, as I was in the shadow of the Sears and Hancock Towers and needed to get out of the city)….
one building fell as I sat on I-55 adjacent to Midway Airport…thinking Daley was doing a controlled unannounced evacuation of the city…as there had never been such congestion on the outbound Stevenson Expressway…
Fast forward to 2007, flew to FL on an empty flight out of Chicago…maybe 10 of us…no joke…on 09/11/07..a bittersweet trip as I was going to help my mom who had just been placed in hospice care.
I get shivers as I recall those times…
Still not jabbed…
I was a senior in high school. I was in weight training during a 0-hour class that started at 6:35 am (Mnt time). We has just settled into our workout routine when the music stopped and a news broadcast came through announcing the first plane had hit. We all stopped and sat down while the teacher left to find a tv. The second plane hit and the sound of silence was deafening. All of us girls began to sob and the boys became angry. Walking into my first period class, which happened to be government, our teacher was sitting in his chair with his head in his hands. When he looked up, you could see the tears in his eyes and he said, ” Today, ladies and gentlemen, we will be watching the news coverage of the attack on our country. If you feel you can’t….” at that moment a scream came from down the hall. Our librarian’s son was in the Pentagon when it was hit. Luckily, we found out later that day he was ok. He had rushed to the daycare unit in the Pentagon to help get the children to safety after the second plane hit the WTC. We all left school early that day as parents were calling to send their kids home out of fear and the desire to hold their kids in their arms. A group of us seniors went a few months later and got tattoos to mark that day on our bodies forever. I am proud to say we all still have them. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!
We started the day, Sept. 11 2001, celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary. We were in the car listening on the radio, As soon as they finally made it clear they were talking about a commercial airliner and not a private prop plane ((they kept saying ‘a plane has crashed’) we knew exactly who was responsible.
Having lived in Saudi Arabia 1990-1996 we were quite aware OBL was planning something. That was made clear by his actions there at that time. He kept saying if the US did not get out of KSA he would bring it home to us. He did.
Dunewall, I accurately “guessed” that OBL was responsible that morning as I sat at my desk continuing to watch the news coverage of the event.
That morning, I was at my job in finance at an AT & T HQ located in Westwood, MA at the time. As we worked, the manager of my department came over and urgently called all of us into the conference room to watch the news coverage on the big screen TV.
He did not say a word as to why he was suddenly and unexpectedly calling all of us into the conference room, just essentially saying drop everything you are doing and get to the conference room now.
We watched the replay of the first plane hitting the first tower, and watched live as the second plane hit the second tower – gasps and then stunned silence.
Gradually we all went back to our desks and continued to watch the news coverage as we all began to make phone calls. As I sat at my desk, I commented to several coworkers that I thought I knew who had directed this action against us, and I named him, and as it turned out I was right.
Think about this – how did I, with zero connection to any intelligence agency or military or anything of the sort gain this insight? Well, shortly before the events of 911, I had read an article in the Reader’s Digest about OBL and in which they quoted him and what his intentions were towards the United States – that’s how.
Think deeply about this – if “simple” me – in terms of zero background in intelligence/military, etc. that would have afforded me advance warning/information about such a huge and tragic event could accurately name the person responsible from a Reader’s Digest article! – how did our institutions charged with keeping us safe from such an event so gravely fail us?
It was my birthday. Getting my daughters to school and then me to work was hectic. Someone had a TV set up in the break room. I walked in as the 2nd plane hit. It was horrifying and surreal. I just wanted to pick up my kids and go home.
Pseudo Joe’s 9/11 Message to America: You are a bigot and you have disappointed Pseudo Joe, just as you disappointed Obama-k for all those years.
Biden Blasts Americans on Eve of 9/11: ‘We Have Witnessed Violence in America
Against Muslims – True Followers of a Peaceful Religion’ (VIDEO) (thegatewaypundit.com)
Their latest Trillion Dollar Kickback Special will move half of Afghanistan to America. But not the half that supported us. They have been abandoned to be murdered. Obama-k regards them as traitors to the Brotherhood.
Obama/Biden is destroying evidence in Afghanistan. And that evidence is people.
Afghanistan Now: Act 1 of America’s Biggest Strategic Bug-Out Scandal
– J.R. Nyquist Blog (jrnyquist.blog):
WHAT I SAW: BY ANONYMOUS
“A massive betrayal has occurred, and that betrayal is being covered up. A network of well-connected and highly trained American veterans – with expertise that ranges from intelligence gathering to on-the-ground operations – have eyes on what’s happening in Afghanistan. What they see bears no resemblance to what Americans are being told by the media. American veterans, who know what is happening in Afghanistan, are disgusted by the many lies that are officially being told.
In fact, virtually everything you are hearing about Afghanistan from government sources is a fabrication. And even partisan opponents of the current administration are missing the mark. What we are seeing is not “chaos” or “incompetence’; rather, it has all the markings of a deliberate and preplanned operation to purposely eliminate witnesses to the criminal malfeasance of ranking U.S. officials.” ……..
“Look–over there; a Vaccine Mandate!”

“…so then I told ’em “Dead Marines and American hostages ARE Infrastructure!””
Looking at that picture, I realise how much Obama was a puppet. Only a puppet could flare it lips thus.
Who is the puppet master? Just Rothschilds?
Was just about to turn the TV off in my bedroom after getting ready for my medical sales job in Northeast Ohio. My hand was outstretched with the clicker when the Today Show announced that a “small plane” had crashed into one of the World Trade Center towers. Stood there frozen, agape, and witnessed the second tower being hit. Some kind of loud sound came out of my mouth and I lurched backwards on wobbly knees to sit on the bed, unable to look away.
The next day word shot around the medical community that when the Cleveland Clinic made a system wide announcement about the attack that was underway in New York, a surgical resident (who was working in a surgical case) defiantly pumped his fist in the air in celebration. He was immediately fired.
Almost exactly one year later my father passed away at the age of 77. At the memorial service I asked my mother about a name I did not recognize on the card with a flower arrangement. She said, “That’s the family of your dad’s first cousin. You have a second cousin from that family who is the father of Todd Beamer from Flight 93.” It was beyond stunning to learn of such a thing at such a moment.
Here’s something else to watch in memoriam, a TRUE story presented as accurately as possible based on the 2012 nonfiction book “The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor,” a FANTASIC film which hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves.
Their Afghani Army troops all ran and their interpreter hid in a porta-potty. Many Silver and Bronze Stars and Valor awards were given along with TWO non-posthumous Medals of Honor.
FTA: “All firefighters wear PASS (“Personal Alert Safety System”) motion alarms, which are activated automatically when there is airflow from the SCBA. The PASS alarm sounds when its bearer does not move for at least 30 seconds, letting others know he may be unconscious or trapped and signaling his location. The alarm’s high-pitched squeal gets increasingly louder until it is manually turned off. Some new model PASS devices also monitor ambient air temperature.”

The squealing of the motion alarms worn by firefighters is forever etched into my memory ~ ✝️
I was in bed in NYC below Christopher St .The first plane used our Washington Street to line up ..and the motor was accelerating, yet flaps down .I am an AF B29 pilot’s brat ) On the phone with BFF , She told me the WTC had been hit by a plane ( she thought she put a yoga tape on her tv but it showed “Die Hard “burning bldg .
I said F*, slammed phone , grabbed /put on clothes from laundry ( overalls & t shirt )
I ran down the West Side hwy walkway it was already jammed with those coming up in business clothing . Wemen carrying their high heels .
My two grandlings were in school PS 89 right there below Stuy HS . I went in to the boy’s classroom .The teachers were crying in the corner , together .One did go pull the huge window shades down cause the WTC was diagonally across the street .and on fire /smoky .I grabbed the homeroom teacher , turned her around saying , “If you see his parents tell them i have him “ .I did the same for the 3rd grade girl’s teacher.( the teachers were in shock )
Taking both by the hands we went out back door , crossed the Hwy on Chambers St ..As we left the girl looked up .”Whats that ? Oh Honey it’s just debris ,No , i see legs ?” It was the 10 people who fell together with God given mercy ? of still holding hands
Along Chambers ( we were going to parent’s office ) we stopped under the metal arch of PS 234 .A big whited shirted man was crying and i patted his back to help soothe him .The first bldg fell .We stood there and i said “The Lord in my Shepherd entire prayer .fast . sanspeur then ran like hell holding hands
Up to deniro’s restaurant and then we walked .He was quiet , she , “i want to go to your bed . Me thinking where the hell are their parents ? They are both over 6’ tall and no sign ! OMG .. in front of our bldg (The Archive) the second tower fell . We said the prayer again . As we turned to go inside their Mom came from behind us .she had come up the way i ran down !
Their parents had been buying coffee @ STarbuxks when 1st plane hit and as engrs they wondered how it would be fixed this time ..and to stay and pay for the coffee ? She did go to her office at Woolworth bldg but there was an airplane engine at the front door ..So she went to get the kids that i had .
inside our teeny apt i told her to go to her apt and get anything, passports, papers , pets jewelry whatever cause no way they would be allowed back to their place in Battery park ( with window on The Pit as it came to be known )
She returned with her cats , fish , papers and new boots …The kids were shuffled all around for that year to many many schools with lots of “pity party “ celebs , psych stuff etc when all they wanted was normal school work for a normal schooling .
My spousal unit was in Berlin , out of phone reach and took two weeks to come home .We had 6 people , 5 cats in one small nyc apt .
That Sunday i went to St Luke’s in The Field church .Crowded , you could smell
the fires for months .Priest comes on alter before service “let’s pray for our muslim brothers .I felt like i was gut punched and converted
Beautifully written, stream of consciousness, reminds me of Bukowsky…
“Our nation was forever changed by those moments on September 11th, 2001.”
I’m not so sure that’s really true….in fact I don’t think this nation learned anything, nor do I think we are even capable of having a true honest national discussion on who, what, where, and why 9/11 happened. If the statement above was true, then we wouldn’t be pumping Islam into this nation, we wouldn’t have allowed ourselves to have a twenty year useless nation-building war, we would have secure borders, and democrats wouldn’t be in power. Sadly we focus totally on the victims and the towers, and not on the reasons as to why this happened, the ideology that made it possible, and the gross evil that is spreading throughout the world. Just my personal opinion.
And we wouldn’t have elected an American-hating POS individual as president for eight long years. Then again, perhaps we did change…and got a lot more stupid and a lot more corrupt as a society.
