The White House has turned a deaf ear to those who asked the administration to turn around the teleprompters so we can read the remarks ourselves. I have mixed feelings about this because, yes, they will become victims of the Taliban. But it’s also true that they appear unable to fight their own war even with all the help we’ve provided.
The over riding issue is that Biden forced a troop pullout without any preparation or regard to the thousands of US Citizens and Contractors, whom he left unprotected and without means of evacuation. Biden totally abandoned the thousands of Afghan Interpreters, pilots, technicians, etc and their families, to be slaughtered.
Pulling out of Afghanistan was inevitable. The way it was done is unforgivable. All of the deaths that follow in the next few days are Owned by Biden. Much of the carnage could have been avoided by preparing the evacuation first, leaving a security force in place until after the evacuation of All deserving parties, destroying all national security sensitive documents and equipment, rendering inoperable all aircraft and heavy weapons by removing critical electronics, removing the firing pins or other critical parts from all weapons, removing the breech block from howitzers and cannons, destroying ammunition, etc, prior to evacuating the security force.
Instead, Biden handed over everyone and everything to the Taliban, recklessly and incompetently. He just created the next Caliphate, the next Terrorist base of operations, and destroyed US Credibility worldwide.
This is an unmitigated disaster.
