This is not a spoof. This is an actual broadcast from the White House Twitter account. Apparently the Biden administration has hired the same public relations firm used by North Korea to manage their messaging:
Yes comrades, pay no attention to the actual receipts you receive from the local grocery store. Please ignore massive price increases in food you might be experiencing at the supermarket. These things are simply illusions. Despite the official inflation records on food pricing provided by the U.S. government, Bureau of Labor and Statistics [SEE HERE, Table 7], according to those who control the oval office our food is actually cheaper this year.
Comrades, we must appreciate the efforts of the Democrat People’s Republic of Krazy (DPRK) and congratulate the Biden administration for achieving a record-breaking new level of absurdity in the distribution of propaganda. Smiles everyone, smiles…. you saved 16 cents.
On a serious note, this extreme level of gaslighting only highlights how the White House must be very concerned about what is about to happen to them in the next election cycle. Even the most devout leftists are calling out the Biden administration in response to this tweet. [Go Look At The Comments]
Even Baghdad Blitzer cannot pull this con off….
17 lb brisket goes on the smoker tomorrow night.
Hot dogs???
try myron mixons brisket technique next time
it takes about 5-8 hours off your smoker/fuel/attn {depending on size}
Im sure you know who myron mixon is, if youre smoking a 17 lb brisket
It sounds crazy, but it works, as evidenced by his competition results.
everyone is staying up all night, while myron starts his fire at 7am
Happy 4th!
I’m on it!!!!
Yeah Bro. Hot dogs. Not everyone can afford brisket at almost $5.00 per pound. After reading your comment, I’m thankful that my parents taught me to never be arrogant.
Obiden decided to use hot dog as an example of savings because that’s what they believe fly- over country eats.
That’s arrogance.
Enjoy your 4th of July how ever you choose.
No doubt, Arrogant Fools.
I worked hard to get where I’m at. Scrimped and saved through the tough times, laid off twice…went back to college at 43 and got a completely different degree in a field that pays well and has security. Arrogant? No. The product of getting my head handed to me a few times.
Brisket at 4.47/ lb is a bargain for beef. Much of this will get vac packed and frozen for use later. My family of 5 will eat this about 3 times.
Enjoy! You have it figured out.
Omaha Steaks annual sale for me
Congrats to you Coldwarrior! Getting your head handed to you translates to being humble.
A few words of wisdom from my legal immigrant (Kiwi), dual citizen, US Army Korean veteran, railroad man and merchant marine–He made his success…Several times, he was in the right place at the right time…including being near the lifeboat when the US liberty ship he was working on, was torpedoed during WW2.
Work hard. and work honest. Get edumacated….Be in the right place at the right time.
Live beneath your means. Never let anyone know how much you make or how much you are ‘worth’. Look poor….
And never be ashamed of your success but never flaunt it as you will meat those same folks on your way down the ladder as you did going up…
Unfortunately, today, there is less opportunity available for more people to be able to change careers or directions. That is why we must resist…
Wolverine Pancakes for me, this weekend…
I wish a lot more would “change direction” by going into teaching. It’s so needed that we get in there, because there are always going to be those who do NOT homeschool or private school — and unfortunately, they vote.
I did the same, going back to school (near 40), staying for graduate work and then spending 10 years doing my part to save future generations until it burned me out (and it will—hostile work environments abound. ) But please help suggest to career-changers that they get into this fight.
My Central Ohio Kroger has beef brisket this week for $2.99 lb. Oscar Mayer Angus beef franks for $2.49 lb. The better choice to buy is the brisket, but I bought the hot dogs lol.
Daughter in Virginia can’t believe the difference in meat prices (hers are a lot higher).
I used to be one of “those” people in the grocery store with a huge stack of coupons- I was extreme before the show on TV. I always had savings of 75% and a very large stockpile- I was a SAHM and we never felt deprived. Now that my daughters are grown and couponing isn’t so great anymore without double and triple coupons, I just shop the loss leaders for the week.
This is a site dedicated to breaking down the weekly shopping/couponing deals at Kroger: krogerkrazy.com
You may have to put forth the effort to print coupons and use Ibotta, but times are getting tougher for a lot of Treepers…
There’s an app called Fetch that is similar to Ibotta. I use it, Ibotta, and store coupons and stack the savings. Fetch does gift card rewards, but I roll those back into planned shopping. I don’t usually plug things, but I’m a big fan and have gotten a lot of money back from both. Times like these we need all the savings we can get.
Enjoy my friend.
Mine goes on tomorrow morning.
Great. I do the same with whole pork loin. I get 6 meals out of one. Being on low fixed income I get what I can afford. Beef prices here are becoming crazier by the week. Happy Independence Day to you and your family.
The poster was not being arrogant. They were pointing out the ridiculous insult from the junta occupying of the White House. Wallowing in self pity is just as the bad as the “arrogance” you decry.
Damn right.
No tube steaks.
Shoot, I could find way more than 16 cents walking the pavements to find loose change.
And if there were still telephone booths, well, those used to be a windfall.
Coin operated laundromats can often be a good place to pocket some loose change. ?
Sometimes I get a tip when cleaning the couch too.
Or checking pockets of winter coats, before they go to the cleaners…
Or check the cart return at Aldi. There are a lot of people that don’t take their quarter after returning the cart.
Recently “earned” a $10 tip when I switched out my pocketbook 🙂
When my son was a toddler he would hit the floor when we went to the grocery store. He always found change under the shelves.
Did he grow up to be a go-getter?
Sounds like he sure started out as one!
Lol, that made me laugh out loud!
Sixteen cents savings from last year July 4th menu…make me want to shoot some fireworks.
Wow, now reconcile inflation of all essential items.
My car runs on Gas, not Gas from beans.
What an embarrassment this administration is.
That Raggedy Ann, Biden spokeswomen, propagandist should be exiled to Russia or China. She is better suited to speak for their governments. She’s convincing no one in the USA!
“My car runs on Gas, not Gas from beans.”
For now.
Well, around here gasoline prices have gone up 84 cents per gallon since the last 4th of July. Some people figure that expense should be added into the cost of picnicking. Americans are not stupid, but apparently most Democrats are.
The Ministry of Plenty’s figures are correct and precise almost to the very penny. Revised figures show the year-over-year savings was NINETEEN cents. Owing to a rounding error, The President’s economic achievements were understated.
3,000,000 new living-wage jobs were created by Joe Biden in the last four days and to celebrate this unparalleled accomplishment, choco rations have been increased.
In Syria, during a mostly peaceful firefight, a platoon of transgendered peacekeepers defeated a battalion of ISIS commandos. Because of General Miley’s superb strategic skill, American soldiers suffered no losses and fought while exclusively using only lead free projectiles.
This resounding victory secures the blessings of prosperity for all Syrians, who also will enjoy a savings of NINETEEN cents on their Fourth of July barbecue.
oh so funny down from last yr? there was no last yr 4th of July remember it was canceled, so no it will cost more as we have a get together and food costs more you dufas
Call me cynical, if they can sell and succeed with a basement campaign for a virtual non entity and claim 80 million votes to boot ( the most in history, I believe ) why should they be worried about winning in the face of some stinkin little consumer price negativity (sarcasm). They already robbed Fort Knox, so to speak, every other bank job is small potatoes by comparison
The thing that strikes me the most is that His Fraudulency II’s regime would actually take the time to make up a stat, that even if true, was completely useless to anyone.
But I hope they keep this kind of dunderheaded stuff going so their defeat in 2022 is that much greater. ?
If this came from President Trumps White House the MSM Whores of The CCP would be going nuts- more than usual.
16 cents. I believe that covers about one quarter of the gas tax per gallon out here in Commiefornia. Gosh, I reckon I should be jumpin’ fer’ joy and farting sparks!
Be careful…Don’t do that near the gasoline 🙂
I’ll need that sixteen cents to offset the new ten cent per bag fee that Demver has implemented yesterday
It’s a nickel per bag here in the Interstate 5 Soviet Socialist Republic of Oregon. And we often get to choose between paper and plastic unless you live in the socialist Portland metro area. There it’s paper only.
For those who don’t know what I5SSROO means, it’s all the blue cities and counties along I-5 and their immediate suburbs that run the state here. It’s pretty much red everywhere else.
Utica, NY has been doing the bag fee for at least 3 decades. Another demonicrap state ripping off the taxpayers
Even the thrift stores are charging for bags now. I’ve seen people drop stuff all over the parking lot rather than pony up that ten cents. Up here near Seattle on a rainy day, that’s a disaster.
A shout out to the 80 million sheeple that voted for Joe. His 2 cents on the 4th of July cookout claims it will cost 16 cents less this year. And your vote for him was priceless. Like the saying goes a sucker is born every minute.
Subtract 40 million from your number and you’re now in the ballpark. IMHO.
The supposed vote count is a bigger lie than the “prices down 16 cents” one is. The idea that anyone buys that biden got more votes than any candidate in history — and against PDT — shows how low the level of intelligence/critical thinking is in the country now.
Tragic.
I agree Thor. I know we have a lot of IQ challenged folks in the country, but no way more than 40 million actually voted for the Resident.
I really hope that some high profile Repubs that are America First jump on this pathetic joke of a tweet.
Kev will want a 2 % tax cut to meet last years July 4th cookout cost. The GOP are useless. Vote out all the RINOs.
Retired Magistrate here: Went to the store today; 80/20 ground beef is $5.34 a pound. If you want to really blow the budget a strip steak is $17.99 a pound and filet is $21.99 a pound. Not too many people buying meat; most people just can’t afford to pay those prices, including us although we did get some hamburger for the grill.
Canned goods which used to be 89 cents are now $1.19 for vegs and fruits. All food is up. The only good thing is the coupons that the grocery store sends and their in store specials which we take advantage of.
At this rate next Independence Day we will be eating peanut butter sandwiches and drinking water to celebrate.
On a different note I am really looking forward to President Trump’s speech in Florida tomorrow. It is always good to see the real Commander in Chief as opposed to the installed dementia patient.
Well, at least your state has water.
Budda Bing.
Touche !
Don’t hold me to this, but a caller on talk radio today said they were visiting relatives in Dallas and the thermostat was set to 76— when they asked for it to be turned lower, they were told that the utility co. there only lets them go to 76 in the summer…
Can that be true? Oh, America, how your enemies are rejoicing.
Don’t know about Dallas but a few years back my daughter who lives in San Diego CA told me that They were allowed to do laundry either very early in the morning or after 9pm because of some strict “rules” imposed by the utility company.
So, yes, I believe that caller’s story 100%.
Don’t forget the US Dept. of Agriculture has allowed the cans used for can foods to be lowered in size.
So it’s a win – win for big ag and the big chain stores. Not so much for us.
It’s always good to see a post from you, Marcia!
Hey, those are last month’s prices! Ground beef 6.99/lb. and filet almost $32/lb.
Bar-S hotdogs $1/pack. 4th of July, hotdogs and delish scoop fries for the fam and giving thanks to God for a country still packed sea-to-shining-sea with PATRIOTS.
But I really hate this fraudulent administration.
Better off anyways. When magnets are sticking to meat I have become a vegetarian lately ?
We are going to go from “Meatless Monday” to “Meatless Month’.
You save sixteen cents
and what do you get?
another day fuller
and less in debt
joe sold his soul to the company store
Save .16 on food but lose a buck on gas, leftistnomics.
“Post truth” is the new normal. All lies all the time from the regime of the most popular presidential candidate in history.
Do the math. The average gallon of gas is .86 cents higher today than a year ago. The average person travels over 6 miles round trip to the grocery store. The fraud who is occupying the White House is lying. The average miles per gallon is 25 which means your spending .75 cents more this year just to obtain those groceries. The propaganda continues!
.16 cents. May Contempt say that those folks in DC are contemptible. In the good old days I would shoot fireworks such as cherry bombs that could blow my damn hand off. Today ya can’t find cherry bombs or TNTs or anything that goes sonic boom. We wouldn’t want “the children” to be mentally disturbed or get that ptsd??? Omg. Mr Obiden muchas grass for that .16 pesos? you a cool honcho.
Harming children? That’s rich considering Lyden is a hair sniffing pedophile.
If no one has yet mentioned “Contempt” as the essence of this 16 ₵ piece of agitprop, allow me: Absolute, Arrogant Contempt – even for the fools who call themselves DEMS – and for every American is what this shows.
Again, The Manchurian Marionette’s regime goes beyond satire: it has turned American life into a bizarre, Kafkaesque morontopia, where the intelligent are not allowed to say anything and must kowtow to the clowns dynamiting our country on a daily basis.
Well, how about that! Thank you, CT member “Contempt”! 🙂
That 16 cent savings is gone before you get the car backed out of the driveway with Obiden’s gas prices.
According to the site “agrimarketing” — “The cost for the cookout is down 16 cents (less than 1%) from last year, but 8% higher compared to 2019.”
Psssst. Pass it on. We have to be our own media now.
16 cents lower than last year, but 8% higher than 2019.
Farm Bureau analysis reveals the average cost of a summer cookout for 10 people remains affordable at $59.50, or less than $6 per person. The cost for the cookout is down just 16 cents (less than 1%) from last year, but 8% higher compared to 2019.
https://www.fb.org/newsroom/july-4th-cookout-cost-stable-compared-to-year-ago
Oh, wow, I swear I had not scrolled down to see that when I posted above….talk about “great minds…” eh?
10 people with no teenage boys I presume!
What are peasants complaining about?
Sarc/
That’s an interesting way to call us ungrateful peasants.
it’s the old go get your shoe shine box bs….. Biden is a Dolt along with all his Criminal Cohorts. They are Laughing in our faces though, as they enrich their donors, many of whom were long Oil and Green Energy stocks. It’s never been a better time to be in the loop with Criminals in the WH. These folks are making Billions hand over fist and Obiden deep state cabal is throwing out any Lawsuits that would deter them from making money. The recent FB lawsuit comes to mind…. Zuckerberg is up 20-30 Billion, Buffet was up 35 Billion, etc. etc.
Cut out the middlemen and go direct:
Demand USA Beef
Bringing the Consumer Direct to the USA Producer
https://usabeef.org/producer-list
Wow, thank you so much for posting that link! There’s a short discussion on another page of this thread about how beef (and other meats) come from animals that weren’t raised in the United States. This is a fantastic resource. I’m going to add it to that conversation and spread it to others that I know.
Can they get any more infantile? I was going to first type “5th graders” but that’s giving them too much credit.
Fellow Treepers, have a glorious Independence Day weekend!
After I finish crying for the good ole days before Obiden.
I fully understand that feeling:( but keep the Faith.. they want us all down. I’m taking it all to God and asking him to deal with them and to give us all strength to carry on til we get through this valley..
He is good, He will walk us through even though it’s hard to see now. He KNOWS all. We have to trust in that. Let the good Lord deal with the little and big demons in his own special way. He loves us! ❤️
Biden voters voted for him and Democrats because they wanted all the good Trump did for us icky blue collar smelly Wal Mart types undone.
Biden voters don’t give a rats A$$ about food prices, most of them are either High Paid Govt’ workers, Section 8 EBT free food folks, or Rich people whose customer base is the EBT’ers…. LMAO.
Just wait until the price per kWh of electricity goes up by $.16.
That would be about the time we hear of energy convervation saving the planet or something. Completely ignoring that drop in demand when the last U.S. factories turn off the lights.
How much energy does software waste?
Insipid.
The other day while Mum and I were eating out, without face masks and everyone acting normal, a guy at the next table remarked that while he did vote for Biden, the guy sure likes to spend.. and I smiled knowing that even the dyed in the wool democrats are feeling the pain. For a laid back Mainer to comment is akin to city folk yelling in the street.
It horrifies me that there are people who will admit to that in public.
Hotdogs are down eh? I bet Nathan’s are not.
Did anyone mention the price of gas (aka petrol) across the country?
Gas price is UP 27% over last 4th of July.
Bongino and Plant today said the Farm Bureau’s report was that prices are UP 16 %, not down, but the WH puts out whatever lie they want.
There is no more media except independents. The corporates are “literally” (as the left would say, only in this case, it applies, even though it’s not “official”) STATE propaganda outlets.
The lies increase in substance daily…I’m sure everyone’s heard how the democrat-socialists (which they all are now, again– even if not “officially”–) are saying now that it was the GOP that wanted to defund police, and that they NEVER suggested such a thing.
They can’t lose—the conservatives know it’s a lie, so it’s like pushing it in our faces when they tell outrageous untruths, and their own side believes whatever it is told…even when it directly contradicts what they were told (and repeated obediently) just last week.
We are not a Constitutional republic anymore. Never did I think this day would come. (But wasn’t it great to see Trump last week? And it’s still on for FL tomorrow, right?)
I’m right there with you and I would imagine so are many regulars on this site. “Never did I think this day would come.” Ditto. I move through each day with a sense of something utterly surreal and shocking…
Joebama is the best Resident!
Isn’t this the Party that poo-pooed a 2K tax savings for the middle class when Trump did that?
I recall Pelosi saying $2000 was a pittance and no big deal.
And now 16 CENTS is grand?
YEA!!!! Thanks Joe…. Except I can’t afford to put ANY gas in the tank to drive to the damned store to spend my .16….
What an Arse-Hole!!!
What’s worse:
The tweet?
or,
The fact there are still people who believe it?
Yeah, the hot dogs are 16 cents cheaper… and dog food is indeed cheaper.
But the gas to go shopping at the grocery store is 10 bucks more!
Well, at least there aren’t Carter era lines at the gas stations yet.
Yeah, I know. That’s really stretchin’ the bright side…
Thank you!
I finally laughed.
We were allowed to have one last year?!?!
What’s worse?
The infantile stat?
Or knowing someone was paid public treasury money to research and develop it?
What treasury money? 🙂
Are you on crack???? Less expensive??? Lol. You are kidding right???? IF TO SAY YOU WERE..16 CENTS ?? Big Effing deal. Gas 3-4.50 dollars a gallon a sheet of plywood 80 DOLLARS??? What in the HELL is that. I know toothpicks aren’t 16 cents cheaper. Probably 16 DOLLARS a package. You are out of your minds. Instead of chicken, hamburgers, and hot dogs we will be lucky to get pb and j sandwiches. When are you going to raise poverty guidelines fixed income of 1500. A month doesn’t go far when mortgage or rent is more than 1200 dollars a month. Yet we have those on unemployment getting an EXTRA 300 IN THEIR CHECKS. Sure is nice. I don’t even qualify for food stamps and I can’t work ?. Money I earned not just free loading off of.
holy crap – when i scrolled past this earlier today i skipped because i thought it was a joke/meme
Lets see jow the idiots 70% of this country reconcile this blatent lie – “who cares what my bbq food cost.. we are soo priveldged that our masters allowed us to celelbrate july 4!”
I’m gonna put my 0.16 cents into municipal funds and wait for that compound interest to kick in!
Ka-Ching!?
IIRC, the two containers in the right background bear Kroger-owned branding.
Hmmmm. My comments are disappearing again….
I’m not sure why we keep hyping the next election cycle.
Haven’t we seen this is all kabuki theater? A decade ago maybe we could have been naive enough to think the center right opposition party had its constituents best interests at heart.
There is no way a sane person could make that argument today. They only exist to provide the illusion of a two party state.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2021/04/29/there-are-no-longer-three-branches-of-government-and-dc-doesnt-need-a-president-to-operate-the-modern-system-of-u-s-government/

Weren’t we under food shortage about a year ago, of course prices were “high” back then. How about 2 years ago??
The price of chicken was patently absurd. When you could FIND chicken … it cost $8.00/lb
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Psaki would suddenly have a “Project Veritas” moment during her briefing!!
