I was reading a few articles on this Trump Organization/CFO indictment.
Sounds like the CFO’s son married a doozy – his ex wife is cooperating with the investigators and giving them documents she obtained from the divorce.
The CFO didn’t pay tax on 1.7 million in fringe benefits. So say $170,000 (10%) to the city. Why don’t they just ask him to pay that? Oh, that’s right it’s a political prosecution.
Also, how does a corporation benefit from not expensing 1.7 million in salary? They actually pay more taxes by not listing fringe benefits as salary.
Tax stuff like this should be first to collect taxes and not punish. Only “punish” for habitual offenses. Speaking of collecting taxes, has Al Sharpton paid his? Or is he just evading it?
It’ll be interesting how they spin this, I’m sure 50 to 75% of similar businesses in NYC like the Trump Organization do the exact same thing.

DeSantis likely asked Trump to delay the rally because the state is going through a tragedy right now with that horrific building collapse (many dead or missing). They had to pause recovery on rescue efforts due to instability of the building .
I think DeSantis wants to wait until the state deals with this sadness and loss before participating in a celebratory rally with Trump. It’s not an unreasonable sentiment. There is no big fight or distancing.

As a veteran of the US army, I find it unconscionable that an army sergeant would be indicted for murder in Travis County for defending himself against a BLM radical Marxist who pointed an AK-47 at him while he sat in his vehicle.
The fact that this is happening in TX is very disturbing. Are we to believe that we can no longer defend ourselves against these radical Marxists that occupy our streets and block traffic?
I call upon Governor Greg Abbott to make sure that these charges are dropped immediately. For I know one thing, if I was in the Governor’s office, the charges would be dropped.

People have been mislead by an erroneous quote from a New England Journal of Medicine article alleging that 86% of mothers who took the “jab” in their first trimester miscarried. The article in fact said 86% had live births not miscarriages.

I think someone has their wires crossed. The Link cited gives me a “Page Not Found” error. I dogged down the June 17th NEJM article, entitled “Preliminary Findings of mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine Safety in Pregnant Persons”
Here’s the relevant part of the article, resembling the above claim
“Among 827 participants who had a completed pregnancy, the pregnancy resulted in a live birth in 712 (86.1%), in a spontaneous abortion in 104 (12.6%), in stillbirth in 1 (0.1%), and in other outcomes (induced abortion and ectopic pregnancy) in 10 (1.2%). A total of 96 of 104 spontaneous abortions (92.3%) occurred before 13 weeks of gestation (Table 4), and 700 of 712 pregnancies that resulted in a live birth (98.3%) were among persons who received their first eligible vaccine dose in the third trimester”

The error is in the NEJM study itself. The authors appear to deliberately obscure the fact that almost all the pregnant women who got a Covid shot in their first trimester miscarried. They did thua by lumping all the miscarriages together, regardless of shot date.
