Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was sentenced today to 22½ years in prison after being found guilty in the 2020 murder of George Floyd. (Story Here) Prior to the sentencing Derek Chauvin made a brief, and seemingly cryptic, statement.
.

Odd Stuff:
Derek Chauvin lived in the same house for over a decade.
No-one in the neighborhood knew he was a police officer.
The immediate neighbors (7 years) didn’t know he was a cop.
Chauvin never once drove a police vehicle home.
No-one ever Chauvin in a police uniform.
In addition to being a police officer, Chauvin worked at a dance club as security.
Chauvin worked at the club for 14 years while also being a police officer.
George Floyd also worked at the club, also as security.
The club, El Nuevo Rodeo, had a sketchy ownership background.
Coincidentally El Nuevo Rodeo was one of the first buildings burned to the ground in the “riots”.
The prosecution never called the club owner as a witness.
The defense never mentioned the relationship.
George Floyd was busted for passing a counterfeit $20 (that was the reason for the call to police).
Just weird…. nothing more.
🤔Very, very, weird. Why would anyone go through the trouble of counterfeiting $1 bills?
Considering time, labor, material and energy. It costs more to counterfeit a box of $1 bills than an actual real box of $1 bills is worth.
Something sketchy here. https://t.co/ZMM0QyVp9V

Does Chauvin seem to not be too upset with the verdict?
I thought the same thing he didn;t really look surprised when his trial happened and they found him guilty and today he didn;t seem really phased much either..I thought Cops had a bad time in jail given they are cops..I would think he would be upset but he doesn;t seem so.
He’ll appeal and win. Unfair Jury not sequestered and Jury was corrupt
And the restraint was legal, I believe.
And the cause of death wasn’t the lawful restraint. It didn’t contribute to his death, there was no sign of bruising about the neck, no chest compression, no indication of suffocation. Chauvin merely kept him on the ground in a prone condition. It was the drug overdose of enough fentanyl to kill 10 men. The only reason George wasn’t foaming at the mouth and unconscious was because he ingested the fentanyl and the pills contained methamphetamines as well. So the meth kept him amped up while the fentanyl was slowly suppressing his ability to breath. He swallowed his whole stash minus a few pills he spilled on the floor of his car and in the patrol car. Even if he complied and went quietly he would have passed out in a jail cell and likely died. If they noticed he was OD’ing a hospital might not have been able to save him. That’s how strong the overdose was. The medical examiner had never before seen someone with that much fentanyl in their drug screening.
Was it “right” for Chauvin to kneel on the man for 9+ minutes? No. Was he responsible for Floyd’s death? No. Did Chauvin receive a fair trial? Absolutely not.
Without a doubt.
I”m surprised they didn’t leave the jailhouse door open so he could be lynched by the mob.
Things will need to settle down before that happens.
Meanwhile, I hope the pigeons are crapping all over Saint Floyd”s statue. I will, even if they don’t, feel embarrassed for blacks. Saint Floyd wasn’t an MLK or Rosa Parks.
The graffiti work beat the pidgeons!!
https://nypost.com/2021/06/24/george-floyd-statue-in-nyc-defaced-with-racist-graffiti-cops/
Legally, you’re correct. There’s a mountain of an appealable case here. But this verdict was always about the outcome. The law didn’t matter in the slightest. Evidence didn’t matter. This was a lynching, the only difference was the color of the robe.
What on earth makes you think ANY appeals court is going to overturn it.
prescription drugs
Police academy emotion control training.
The GOP would have to support a legal effort. They are part of a corrupt system.
Actually not. Black market synthetic fentanyl hundreds of times more potent than the highest prescription of fentanyl mixed with methamphetamines in pill form. The fentanyl likely came from China. There are not enough opioids (Oxycontin / Oxycodone / Heroin) to feed the demand from the drug users. Even heroin dealers are cutting the heroin with synthetic fentanyl and that’s why we have an epidemic of opioid overdoses. The drug companies gave out Oxycontin / Oxycodone like it was candy for over a decade. The government tightened controls on it and went after the pill mills supplying this hillbilly heroin to the masses. Doctors lost their narcotics prescription abilities. Other doctors are now far more careful about prescribing refills. Computerized medical records are interlinked. ER’s and Urgent Cares see patients show up claiming to be in unbearable pain but they check the computer and see that they hit 5 other ER’s in the last few hours. They deny them the prescription. So what’s an addict to do? They buy it on the street in either pill form or more often from a heroin dealer. Then the dealers ran out of heroin so they started cutting it and in many cases just selling fentanyl and the potency of that fentanyl changed over time so their dosage was way too high. Addicts end up overdosing and dying at an alarming rate. Interesting fact. This wasn’t George Floyds first overdose, he’s had several he survived.
EMOTION CONTROL it’s a part of training. Think about it….. they would never be able to do their job without the training.
Like in other such cases he will most likely be kept away from other inmates.
I never received that training, but the overemotional types do tend to weed themselves out over time, if not during pre-screening. That is, if we are fortunate enough.
I think it is more resignation than anything else. Watching the media frenzy there was never going to be any other outcome to his trial, and he knew it. He had a long time to come to terms with it before hearing that verdict read out to him.
Resignation?
A career LEO going to prison for 22 1/2 years for doing his job exactly as trained?
I don’t think so.
Minneapolis – where only idiots and fools live and assholes become cops.
One knows when one is right. Not resignation at all.
Simplest explanation and all that.
He seems medicated. Zombie-like.
delete.
He’s just following order from the feds. They probably told him he won’t actually be doing any real time. Just wait until they can memory hole this thing and he’ll be out on a technicality.
Kind of a long sentence for following police procedure to the letter and not being the legal proximate cause of the death.
It would be interesting to know what percentage of the time this judge follows sentencing guidelines (about 12 years in this case). I’ll bet he follows them 99% of the time but claims he wasn’t bowing to public or political pressure when he chose 22.5 years.
Basically 2x which seems most likely ‘demand’ from prosecution, Family, Crump and the BLM liasons.
Of course, a lot of problems with the handling of the case by the judge. But as we’ve seen – judges helped lock in Potato Joe’s theft of the WH.
So it’s easy enough to give one cop a bad trial (despite him being the stupidest idiot to kneel like he did for as long as he did – procedure or not > the optics sank him).
Perversely, it is almost as though the goal of this trial was to engender maximum contempt for the legal process and rule of law.
Well… it certainly did that. I now have nothing but unmitigated contempt for our legal system.
It definitely was not racially driven that much is certain. You can make the argument it was bad policing and apply manslaughter charge but it want murder either. Despite all that cities across the country burned because a pathetic and unpleasant individual ingested untold amounts of drugs got himself detained and his stupidity got him killed by a cop that couldnt work out how to respond to the madness. Chauvin deserves some kind of punishment but not the railroading he got. Floyd destroyed many lives including his own when a cop who didn’t police the situation properly responded poorly.
Explain how he deserves punishment? I’ll hang up and listen
do you have any idea what he was doing? neither did the girl doing the video taping. chauvin didn’t kill anybody. a guy that was saying that he couldn’t breathe when he was standing up, that was on the ground because he asked to be put on the ground wasn’t killed by officer chauvin. a police officer that was trying to save his life by keeping floyd from rolling unto his back thru the use of an approved restraint hold. people in a state of excited delirium can stop breathing when they lay on their back. you want to know who knows that besides me, everybody in the media. you and that girl are typical of people in the inner city. you never know what should be done but you know what is being done is wrong. i worked as a fireman in the inner-city for 25 years and in 25 years i never did anything right. yet everytime i asked one of the critics to show me what to do, nobody ever took me up on my offer. the person responsible for that chaos the occurred following the death of george floyd is the barack obama democrat mayor jacob frey. he buried the police body cam video because he didn’t want people to know the truth.
Does anyone remember how much time the Somali cop who killed an Australian women by shooting her from the passenger side over the face of his partner got ?
She was reporting either a attempted rape or break in and ran outside in her robe and was killed . He got 12 1/2 yrs for that cold blooded murder of that dual Australian citizen but she was white.
https://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/verdict-in-police-shooting-death-of-unarmed-australian-woman-justine-ruszczyk-damond/news-story/6c7d152489328baf4f72e63761f04425
Not guilty
22 1/2 years in prison for bad optics.
He was positive for covid. If I were his lawyer, I would have demanded to see the covid death list and if floyd was on it…case dismissed!
BINGO! But never let facts get in the way of a corrupt agenda!
O.J. did it.
I have been thinking about Chauvin’s cryptic comment and I wonder if he was tipping people off that he is planning to commit suicide?
Since a suicide by Chauvin is the only thing I can think of that would give Floyd’s family the “closure” Chauvin says they are about to receive, it seems a strong possibility that this is what Chauvin is planning.
If that is not what Chauvin is planning to do then it was very stupid of him to make this statement because it is now an invitation for the state to kill him and call it a suicide using his cryptic statements as “proof” he took his own life.
Chauvin is alluding to a plea deal in the federal case. Nelson likely got the AUSA to agree to a concurrent sentence.
Perhaps the saddest thing about George Floyd’s untimely death is that he was well on his way to getting a contract from Vogue Magazine to be one of their top fashion models.
Rumor has it Fentanyl Floyd was contracted to do a spread in “Blueboy” magazine with Big Mike.
Would that be Big Mike Michelle or Big Mike Pence?
Or with both?
Perhaps this is a bit crass…but I don’t think Mike Pence has ANY reason to put BIG in front of his name…just saying…
???
Motion picture deal?

.
And, he was going to win Dad of the Decade.
The counterfeit bills will be turned over to Secret Service.
Is this how they pay their hookers? Or is this a shipment for entertainment by #HeelsUpHarris?
If the shipment is for cumala, a handful of quarters would be more than sufficient…
A pallet full of dollar bills is a whole lot of lap dances!
Just sayin’
Floyd was from the Houston TX area, which has about as serious a drug problem as it gets. Somehow he ends up in Minneapolis? My guess is he was something of a go between, drugs getting sent north and counterfeit bills sent south. When he started passing the fake money it put a target on his back.
He spent 5 yrs in a Texas prison and moved to Minneapolis when he got out.
Why, of all places, Minneapolis?
I have no clue.
Saint Floyd did some adult entertainment work, not sure if the company was based in Minn.
It may have been a one-off, but my (open)source says it was about 5 years ago.
Walks into an apartment, starts talking, sits down, introduces himself, blah blah.
Someone clipped out the intro and his acting is as bad as he was juiced up on meth.
-BLM founder is branded a ‘FRAUD’ after buying a $1.4 million home in an upscale mostly white enclave in LA
It sounds like all of Minneapolis’ city officials are crooks.
I really question how people don’t see what’s going on. Are we really that dense as a nation? Look at everything from 10000 feet. If you can’t see the coordination then I don’t know what to say.
Do a thought experiment. While it’s been decades prior in the making, line up all the major events that have happened since 9/11. Then look at each major event and look at the effect of each one. There is one commonality between each of these events. Can you pick it out?
The media lied, government grew, Democrats took power?
I’m not that good at puzzles, Wee2low.
What’s the answer?
Tell us!
Who would go through a cost-prohibitive process to counterfeit $1 dollar bills?
A U.S. national security agency conducting an operation with little interest in the profit dynamic; that’s who.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2020/05/31/sunday-talks-crump-on-floyd-we-dont-understand/
Where did Chauvin get all his money, his ex got over $700,000 dollars in the divorce settlement. They owned a home in Windermere, FL which isn’t cheap by no means. Oh, they were also facing charges of tax evasion for not reporting or underreporting taxes for a few years.
Maybe he was a hedge fund mogul who just decided to go into policing.
Et tu Brute! Well said!!!
I give him two weeks before he’s found hanged.
Obvious suicide
Found shot in the head
Twice
I read that the one dollar bills were tainted with the “virus”. –they were seeding. Of course, no one would bother counterfeiting one dollar bills.
This has been happening all year long. Murder and violent crime rates up 50, 100, 200% in some places.
90% of the time, John Cardillo is about as perceptive as a blind toad. This time is no different. I believe he was also the one sowing doubt about MAGA people that opposed the CCP.
Disgusting – for doing his job and for those of you who don’t know – he put his knee on
Floyd’s shoulder, not the neck as the media pounded on daily.
Highly representative of what the government and their complicit media can and will do
to serve their agenda to take down the country.
Yes, I saw that video from another angle.
The powers that be, who are moving all these checkers around, were just looking for a white cop on black crime incident, especially so they could gin up more division between races to incite street violence funded by Soros.
Bottom Line? Get rid of President Trump.
2021, Obama’s legacy:
Cop gets 22 years in jail for doing his job and taking a criminal off the streets.
Chauvin a Fed? FBI? Spook of some kind? I knew a member of the ATF – that guy would look totally different every time I saw him. One time he would look like a hippy – next he would be clean shaven in a 3 piece suit. He would always pack his car so the back (license plate) could not be seen from the road.
Praying for this man’s safety.
Who checks $1.00 bills to see if they’re real? The cost of printing 900,000. ‘ones’ was more then $900,000. ? Or perhaps 900,000 bills are 1 shipment; just part of 2 million or 5 million bills. Printed with the same machine the economics might make sense.
Where are you hearing it was a $1.00. It was a $20.00 he was trying to pass.
He referring to the tweet that was embedded concerning the counterfeit bust in International Falls that occurred before Floyd was caught passing that $20.
It’s what the owner of this website you are on and the author of this article you are reading said. The article is at the top of the comments section.
El Nuevo Rodeo (hereafter ENR) is a front business. Nothing is as it seems.
ENR also looks like a money laundering operation. Part of that laundry operation appears to involve counterfeit currency. This enterprise, writ large, looks like the answer to ‘how’ a U.S. agency infiltrated the background criminal network in Minnesota to watch and monitor for domestic threats. So there are layers to what is visible and a myriad of interests involved.
One thing is clear, as attested by Benjamin Crump, Derek Chauvin and George Floyd knew each-other; this was not some random street incident. Arguably, every single person in/around law enforcement and EMT response that day knew each-other.
I asked this question back in January about counterfeit currency in Minnesota:
Who would go through a cost-prohibitive process to counterfeit $1 dollar bills?
A U.S. national security agency conducting an operation with little interest in the profit dynamic; that’s who.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2020/05/31/sunday-talks-crump-on-floyd-we-dont-understand/
Precisely because a counterfeit One Bill is so atypical, it would show up as a Marker, a
tracer, when detected somewhere else later.
Paid actor shows remorse?
No.
There is a slight odor of false flag.
How, HOW is an appeal not yet filed… or will it be at all?
He tried to appeal but the judge said he could not until after sentencing.
Does anyone else find it strange that no pathologist testified for the prosecution? I find that extraordinary.
Meh, the problem with cops is their attitudes to “The People”. They think they got a gun and a badge and they think they are “God”, so screw our civil rights. They assume you are guilty on the spot, the judge, jury and executioner. With metal detector wands, there is no need for “intimidating frisking”. It’s just plain old harassment. I’m all for law and order, but the abuse of our 4th and 5th amendments is pervasive indeed.
Floyd was starting to act erratically. Chauvin was called upon to deal with it.
This has to do with human trafficking.
It’s a damn outrage what they have done to this man! The evidence, public comments by woke officials. NOTHING about this remotely resembles due process. Complete bullshit!
NOTHING is allowed that can upset the Democommunist “racial grievance” power base. It’s essential to the totalitarian takeover we’re going through.
What did Chauvin mean by his statement “some other things would come out”??
I have a feeling there’s a lot of players connected to this incident.
I’m go to go out on a limb here and say Chauvin is gonna get Epsteined in jail before any of those things can come out.
Yep! That has crossed my mind
“In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death” – Bill Barr
-Epstein Guards Cop To Falsifying Prison Logs, Cut Deal With Feds To Avoid Doing Time
https://dailycaller.com/2021/05/21/epstein-guards-falsified-prison-logs-feds-jail-time/
“Under the deal, the two BOP employees admit they falsified records saying they had checked on Epstein and would be subjected to supervised release, be required to complete 100 hours of community service & must cooperate with an ongoing DOJ IG probe.”
One would have to wear a MAGA hat to get fired from that job.
China!
You counterfeit a $1 dollar bill into a $20 to make potentially $19. You do the $20 instead of $50 or $100 because those higher amounts are scrutinized by cashiers. This method seems totally legitimate for a low level street thug.
Now, their relationship before is suspicious, but could be coincidence. It’s possible they didn’t know each other too – I had a friend that worked at a club and didn’t know everyone. He worked the door on weekends and barely knew two or three other people.
The last part is the fact that no one knew he was a cop. Seems strange, like he was undercover? His wife definitely divorced him quick, that was weird. I could see this being a false flag where Chauvin is called in to act out with Floyd some street theater, but it’s really not that important except for the fact that one cop takes the fall for all in what is a red herring to get everyone’s mind off the police state. Idk what to think though. A skeptical mind would just chalk it all up to coincidences.
IPOT did an excellent video on this, all about the club. Chauvin looks pretty medicated, will he be Epstein’d?
I don’t understand who the individual he was speaking to off camera is. What is the relevance. I must have missed something. Thanks for anyone replying.
Let me add to your list Sundance….
Chauvin’s mother is married into the Pawlenty family. Essentially, Chauvin’s mother is Former Governor and avowed Trump hater Tim Pawlenty’s aunt. Probably contacted Pawlenty to make a casting call and a family member was the best choice. Pawlenty made commercials prior to the election, along with Jessie, loser Walz, and flakey Mark Dayton stating the election probably won’t be over election night and people need to be patient. I think Trump won Minnesota despite the efforts and the craziness of this George Floyd deal. Same fraud used in other states was used here with BLM/Antifa riots to destabilize the state.
I’ve read that Chauvin’s stepfather is a cousin of Tim Pawlenty, but there was no source for that , so perhaps you’re right and Carolyn Pawlenty is Tim’s aunt.
George Floyd’s girlfriend also worked in Daunte Wright’s school.
Geneology in this video says that Chauvin’s stepfather is a first cousin of Tim Pawlenty:
What I can say is that the media not making hay out of this family relationship with Tim Pawlenty tells me that they are covering something. They would make political hay out of this if there wasn’t some inside baseball going on.
Will he be on suicide watch I wonder?
that’s what you get in fundamentally transformed america for trying to save someone’s life.
Covid1984
BLM Summer of Burn Loot Murder
Nov. 3 Terror Attack on US Constitution
No one could possibly actually believe these weren’t pre-planned operations.
The Left is Evil. Pretending otherwise is no longer an option.
There is likely a CIA connection in there somewhere.
Hopefully the 27MIL payoff the city gave the family is all counterfeit.
Professional confidence artists(con-artists) might call what you’re suggesting, “AIRTIGHT”.
The Big Con: David Maurer (1940) – Page 224
“If a city provides complete and exclusive protection for one or more favored con mobs, it is known as “airtight.” This means that the fix is very strong, that the con men are quite secure, and that all competition will be discouraged by vigorous non-fixable prosecution.”
Perhaps the counterfeiting operation is tied into vote buying. Maybe Joe Biden rides in as Chauvin’s savior and grants him a pardon while “excoriating” his railroading.
The malfeasance in the prosecution and trial was simply too obvious to conclude anything else.
Is it possible that this police officer is a product of our times? Did he go to work every day knowing full well that his life was in even more peril than ever before? Had he finally realized that he and his brother officers could no longer enforce laws and as such could no longer make a difference? Did he finally reach the breaking point then snap? Could you or I go to work everyday wanting to make society a safe place to live? Every single day knowing that you might not come home and your efforts were useless? I’m not only referring to the constant crime, government emptying out our prisons, rioting and murdering of police officers. The Demo / socialist party’s now in power support of the Black lives movement. Let’s not forget the corrupt so called liberal judges who refuse to sentence criminals to the appropriate time in prison. How about “NO BAIL RELEASES?” Did these officer have a history with Floyd? I believe that Floyd was known to them and had repeat run-ins with him. I’d use the term accountable or accountability but there’s no such thing today. If it were up to me I’d have it and a number of adjectives stricken from the English language.
Thankfully I don’t carry cash.
Why thankfully? A cashless society is dangerous.
Yes. Imagine your money having an expiration date.
Or being denied, or confiscated, or used against you to spy on you! These things are already happening.
I try to use cash regularly. People in the service industry far prefer cash tips.
It easier to pass 1’s & 5’s, than it is 10′,20’s & 100’s and has been that way for decades.
Ever see them use the verification PEN on a 1$, 5$ or 10$.
I have an FBI agent that lives across the street from me. You wouldnt know he was a Federale, unless you ran into at a crime scene or weapons class.
I am not going to guess about motives in this case.
I am, however, very interested in the many connections and omissions listed here.
It appears to be a manufactured, agreed upon, trial and outcome.
And then, after being sentenced to 22 years (which he would never survive), the alleged criminal states publicly he is limited in speaking by further legal proceedings, gives the family of victim his condolences AND THEN states more info will come out in future to give family of victim more understanding?????
Which means very clearly not all the facts and evidence regarding this incident were allowed to be presented in Court??????
This harms the alleged criminal and fails the victims family.
Small correction: Chauvin’s statement was made prior to sentencing, not after, according to the video description.
Dude has no eyebrows and lack of hair. He’ll be able re-enter society in 6mos. No one will know the difference.
Did the police department provide off duty police as security for night clubs? I just read about a worker claiming that Chauvin was aggressive towards minority customers, but didn’t want to say anything because he considered as “one of the good cops” as far as the precinct went and didn’t want him replaced by “a bully”. Maybe Chauvin was willing to turn a blind eye or get paid off to not see the crimes going on at that night club, so he was considered a “good guy”.
Never mind, found the answer, Minneapolis did use off duty police officers to work as security, but put it on hold.
https://www.startribune.com/review-of-minneapolis-off-duty-police-work-being-put-on-hold-again/572160512/
Floyd was a bouncer. Chauvin might have been uniformed police security at the same club. Some jurisdictions require this. It’s very unlikely they worked “together.” They might not even have had much, if any, contact with each other.
Sad to read the majority of the comments here below that forget and/or excuse the fact that we all watched this scum secret-life cop [thug] calmly squeeze the life out of a sick, exhausted, drugged out [Human] criminal who lay subdued, handcuffed, face down in the street–rather than assisting in Emergency medical assistance.
If you support and excuse and try to justify this type of Law Enforcement, may God have mercy on your soul.
The killer should have been charged with aggravated depraved indifference to human life and sentenced to Life without parole–just like you would be if you killed a cop in the same manner.
Oops. Shame on you all.
Maybe if you paid any attention to the autopsy you would ride out of here on your high horse.
maybe Chavin should have taken the path of the “insurrectionist Grandma” & asked for some CRT training then make a statement on what he learned about the evil racist America….grrr
Chauvin is simply the sacrificial lamb, slaughtered and offered up to keep the wild animals peaceful.
The jury simply caved to emotion of fear.
They did not want to see them jumping on cars and burning another city to the ground.
Question is….when will the ‘stupids’ get that they are being used for power and wealth.
Never is my guess…stupid…is not curable.
Sketchy.
Sell the ones or wash them.
Scan the dollar bill. Will probably register as 20, 50 or 100. Cash out.
Vegas MGM ?
From the beginning, none of it has made any sense, including this statement.
That said, I’m thinking it was meant for a few ears, only even though he made it publicly, in an effort to stay alive. Only time will tell, I guess.
