They are saying it was suicide; however, John McAfee didn’t kill himself…. no way. For years McAfee was a romantic outlaw, rough around the edges and a little weird at times, but he also consistently said various elements of the U.S. government were out to get him.
McAfee even put a tattoo on his arm saying he would not kill himself. That is how certain he was that someone, some entity, would eventually want to shut him down.
McAfee was under securities charges for making money by recommending investments without disclosing his relationship to the investment. The charges were always a little weird, and the claims of tax evasion never amounted to enough to warrant the severity of the effort to capture him, but the U.S. was adamant about getting him extradited. Nothing about this sniffs right. Nothing.

I’ve always considered the McAfee antivirus to basically be malware. I’ve never had a computer that came with it run properly, delete it anywhere I find it, and when my kids started building their own computers, made sure they never were tempted to install it. Maybe the Government was out to get him because they got suckered into putting McAfee malware on their government computer systems, too.
A software program requiring local machines to connect to a central database to update… is a software program nefarious agencies would use, particularly a 3rd party program people trust because it is supposed to protect them.

They were spending more time on investigating the money trails and other financial assets to the Belize National Police. There were strong indications the police assisted in helping McAfee leave the country while rendering the crime scene absolutely worthless through contamination by simply destroying and removing evidence. Many of them took early retirement and I don’t believe the case was ever solved. I don’t believe in coincidences or Karma, but justice seems to balance the scales every now and then.
