[LA Times] – Fox News has canceled “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” the program hosted by television’s staunchest supporter of Donald Trump and of his assertions of voter fraud in the 2020 election, The Times has learned.
Dobbs’ program, which airs twice nightly at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern on the Fox Business Network, will have its final airing Friday, according to a Fox News representative who confirmed the cancellation. Starting next week, the program will be called “Fox Business Tonight,” with rotating substitute hosts Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman, who filled in for Dobbs on Friday.
Dobbs, 75, remains under contract at Fox News but he will in all likelihood not appear on the company’s networks again. In addition to his Fox Business Network program, he occasionally turned up on the Fox News Channel as a commentator.
The cancellation comes a day after voting software company Smartmatic filed a $2.7 billion defamation suit against Fox News and three of its hosts — Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro. (read more)

Lou Dobbs was/is a no-BS guy who had a great way of cutting through the nonsense and looking at current events from the common-sense perspective. That is why he was always successful. In addition, Dobbs held no fear about confronting Wall Street, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Business Roundtable and any corporate media who attempted to deflect away from the epicenter of the issues.
Dobbs will be missed, and hopefully his voice will land again in a place where we can go to listen and share his common-sense analysis. If he broadcasts, they (MAGA) will come.

Do you know of any other commentator who has several times done long, articulate, cogent, persuasive pieces on the growth of totalitarianism in this country, on the death of journalism, calling others–anchors, owners, managing editors—by name? On social issues like the death of the middle class, the substitution of government for fathers, the conflicting results of feminism, the discrimination of universities against those who should be accepted on merit but are not, the stupidity of the Scotus decision on disparate impact, the attempt to feminize the American male, the toxic results of elementary education on boys, the stupidity and hypocrisy of policies on transgenderism, the class struggle of Elites vs. the middle and working class, etc.
I cannot name a single other person on a recurring program on tv that touches on the subjects he does, and even IF they tried, they’d not be as literate, as articulate as he. Victor Davis Hanson reaches those heights but unfortunately we only get him occasionally, as a guest.
I grew up with CBS’s Eric Severeid’s essay commentaries, recall the beauty and truth of the voice over essays of Richard Rodriquez on PBS, recall that Peter Jennings was able to rise to heights occasionally in his specials.

As for Sidney Powell: I am a partisan. I love Donald Trump and have high regard for Sidney Powell.
She made a lot of accusations. A lot. She spoke of depositions that said x or y. She said these would be made clear in court. She did not name names. Times. Places. There is nothing “wrong” in what she said. She went on his program to get out the word to an audience that she had collected a lot of evidence that shows an election steal of the Presidency of the United States.
However, were I a journalist, yes, I would want her as a guest, but then I would require that she must give some specific evidence supporting her claims. If I simply allow her to state a steal occurred, that all the depositions she had taken illustrate that and she ends her presentation in that manner, she is doing just what Adam Schiff did.
I know she was caught in a bind. That was unfortunate, for all of us interested in the truth.

For years, going all the way back to the Florida recount, I only watched Fox News for election night coverage or other significant national events.
In my opinion Fox called elections early going back many years to give other networks coverage for calling an election. It was always infuriating to watch.

Perhaps We the People should organize a class action lawsuit against Smartronics and Dominion, seeking TRILLIONS in compensatory and punitive damages for the stolen election.
I was thinking something similar, but not a class action suit.
A class action suit will group a bunch of us together to go against a company with a ton of money. “Our” lawyers will get a lot of money, if they win, and if we could even find a lawyer to take the case.
Instead of having a class action law suit I was thinking it would be better to have hundreds — thousands of individual lawsuits against those companies. They would need as many lawyers as lawsuits against them, or at least have to spend a lot more money on lawyers than they would against one lawsuit.
But we would need people with big bucks to file such suits, since lawyers don’t work for free. And after the lawyer in Michigan working on vote fraud there has been threatened with being disbarred because he is working on that case, lots of lawyers are going to stay far away from anything having to do with President Trump and the illegal election results.
Their defense is going to be that they just manufacture the machines and software. What someone else might or might not do with them is out of their control. So go after who the someone else is and dismiss the case.
I said the same thing and my husband reminded me how “they” go after gun and bullet manufacturers when someone is shot and dies.
We all know the gun didn’t have a thought to kill and the bullet didn’t plan on entering a human body — that it took a person to commit the act.
The hardware and software didn’t think to steal the election — but it was made to allow people to cheat.
We need to fight the defense, and fight with the same thought(less) process of the enemies of our nation.

As my cable bill goes up & up and my SS does not I see this as one more reason to be rid of cable altogether. My friend has a Ruku and some other set up so she still has TV but no large cable bill and no news channels. Only one other thing has been more depressing then what has been happening with little to no resolution in sight so I don’t need to pay to be depressed.

Best thing to do is cancel dish, direct tv, and cable and ignore the local channels. You need to check OANN, and Right Side Broadcasting (RSBN), the Epoch Times and Gateway pundit.
If there were any real news organizations out there, they would also be airing Mike Lindell’s documentary (very well done, I might say) and America would be up in arms at the treason and sedition that has been taking place! I just watched Mike’s documentary and I thought it was really good; particularly liked Dr. Shiva…an example of the GOP complicity in election theft.

Calling Carlson “controlled opposition” is ridiculous. Carlson is a consummate pro, who never got out over his skis… he only said what he could back up with evidence, and was careful to qualify that which he could not. There is a necessity for this kind of reporter – after all, these people are supposed to be “journalists” not activists.
Dobbs was a loudmouth, semi-coherent blob of outrage. While he may have been right about much of it, he embraced ALL of it, even what could not be proved. None who said, as a statement of fact, that Dominion manipulated or rigged the election opened themselves and their employers up to litigation. It’s like we all forgot that “trial lawyers” – ambulance chasers – are DEMOCRATS. They are artful fraudsters, and played the system beautifully. OF COURSE we couldn’t present any evidence if we weren’t allowed to gather any evidence – that was the point that had to be elucidated and rarely was. The time taken in court allowed for the spoliation of all the relevant records, and the legal strategy was flawed from the outset. I argued that every case filed should have been for preservation of records by court order first, so that Courts could be put in the position of deciding whether the law was better served to enforce opacity and deceit, or to insist on sunlight and transparency. A simple case: The Democrats are here only to prevent us from proving the elections were honest, our Honors. Our goal is not to prove a premise, which is premature, unripe. Our goal is to determine if we can prove, with our friends across the aisle, that these elections were in fact fair and honest, and all the ballots handled in accordance with the law, as they claim. Certainly the Court wants to give the States the opportunity to prove beyond reproach that their process and results were transparent, legal and accurate. Who could possibly find a law that required otherwise?
