I was at the rally that fate filled January day.
We the people, families of every nation and tongue, gender and age and sexual persuasion gathered.

The wind was cold, the Sun hidden and the President very late to speak.
As Trump finished, the huddled masses began to move, wanting to make their voices heard at the People’s House. But their voices would be made weak.

Police allowing the early birds through, men and women known to cause disquiet.

This group of people, in their own House uninvited, wandered about and sat in Nancy’s chair, the greatest crime of all in the Washington mire.

Perhaps this was the purchase price to sit in Nancy’s chair. To see the end of our republic, murdered in that cold January air. What can chest-less creatures understand but the lust of their loins and cruelty of their minds, with no soul in between to illicit care.
So, I write, not to justify the actions of the few but to honor the voices of hundreds of thousands of whose hearts I knew. Our chests are filled with pain and horror as we see our Rally turned into a riot by those whom nary a virtue knew.

I was there as well. Had no idea of a breach, had no intention to “storm” the gates, heard no incitement from President Trump, stayed to end of speech and more or less meandered back to the Capitol with others, knowing from his tone that things didn’t look good. But wanted to be seen and “heard” with all of those who had gathered to peacefully protest.
Stood next to a group of Texans holding their state flag, who were next to a group of Iranians, from SF, who had their flags, “Iran for Trump”. A couple of “Women for Trump” just in front, lit a joint as many then gathered to partake. There were indeed all flavors assembled, wanting to have their petition heard. Met and chatted to people from all over the country.
It does pain me to hear that some on this site say we were “fools” and walked into a trap. I am very proud and glad that I went, as so many thousands others did as well.
We took action as described in our Constitution, to peacefully gather and petition those in government, as was asked by our President. It is not our fault that the media and those pulling the levers make it seem to be other than what it was.
Thank you again, for your accurate and insightful prose.

Talked (in-person) to another one that is from the middle of PA. A working guy, but spends a lot of his time in his truck. He feels that the Judges that Trump got nominated to the Supreme Court have been gotten to, either by threats or bribes. He said PA was full of fraud in the election process and no one has disproved all the testimony that has been given.

I would go back much farther than that. Establishment “Country Club” Republicans go back at least to the screwing of Barry Goldwater and likely before. Ronald Reagan was the RNC enemy for several years until we the people overrode their back room deals. They were seriously pissed over his landslide re-election as well.
That is why they had to deny a landslide second term to President Trump. They are showing US that THEY are really in charge. This has been a fight for decades.
And that right there, is the biggest reason I will NEVER support another Republican for just having an R by their name. These pr!cks will have to EARN anything they ever get from me again. No more will I vote for the lesser of two evils.

You have to get youth in your party. The way teachers work for the Dem Party in the big cities, do a lot of the grunt work, you can go after youth to build your energy and build/extend your present and future voters. You go after bands and entertainers, yes. Sports figures, yes.
However, you can’t have a Mitch McConnell brand, a GOPe Bill Kristol, George Will Republicanism to get those youth. Trump showed there were millions out there willing to vote for an R IF he or she believed in and fought for what Trump fought for. There are millions and millions of young folks out there waiting for some party other than the D’s to appeal to them and to their generation. They react to EMOTION. This age group always years to be included in something NEW.
While Pres. Trump is an anomaly in every way, including his ability to capture attention, he has paved the way for others, to argue for his policies.
You could, of course, find a new name, invite people, and start a new party but history shows you’d have a really hard time winning power. You’d have some leverage, of course, in elections, but it would be hard, just about impossible in many areas, to get your candidate actually elected.
On the other hand, if you have a somereally articulate, persuasive Republicans who VOCALLY tell the nation that they are out to rid the GOP of the hold the establishment Elites have had for years, if you tell people you are for x, y, z and those policies are actually “revolutionary” in that they go after corruption in both parties, futures for generations this and that, college students about to have to find jobs, ask them to create an army of young and old Americans out to yank entrenched power from both the Dems and the GOPe, if you pound that and make sure young people are included, you have the basis of what is really a third party anyway, but a party that has access to money and to MEDIA that they wouldn’t have if they began a third party.
I have always maintained that it wasn’t so much socialism that made so many youth turn to Sanders; it was that he asked them to join him. He needed audiences so he turned to THEM and that is what they responded to. They felt that what he was saying was different and it was because much of Bernie’s appeal was that he was talking about corporate greed and corruption. What with Big Tech’s totalitarian stances, that issue is front and center. CORRUPTION and power concentrated in the hands of too few.
The new GOP speakers can give themselves a new name as an adjective in front of “GOP” (or after it), but they must pound and pound and pound the message that they are out to rip power away from the corrupt in both parties.
There will be no help from the “conservative” think tanks on this as they too are the enemy of change.
A posse of new thinkers in the GOP need to rise to speak.

At the end of 2020 many statisticians, doctors and independent scientists noticed something amiss about this extraordinary year. The Office of National Statistics, Public Health England shows that the numbers for death from influenza and those from Covid-19 are askew.
It is also clear that the overall death rate in 2020 was exceeded by the five years of 1999-2003. I need to define the death rate here, as it is based on the deaths per thousand people, which eliminates the fact that populations were lower in earlier years. It’s a given that larger population might have a higher death total from a given disease, but not a higher death rate. Diseases work on the susceptible individuals of a population and, thus, it is a proportion of the population that becomes ill or dies. [6]
That said, how does the death rate in the UK for 2020 compare to previous years?
It is clear that the death rate in the UK for 2020 was not exceptional compared to previous years.
In the US, it is clear that there has been a monetary incentive for diagnosing the disease and encouraging hospitalizations. The cessation of other medical procedures and tests during this period clearly is going to lead to increased overall deaths. The fact that there appears to be no excess deaths despite this, indicates that the C-19 virus itself was not as lethal as they claim.
Overall, the death rate in the UK is not out of line with the normal death rates from other years and clearly not close to the highest in the last 22 years. It is difficult to consider influenza deaths when there appears to be a bias toward categorizing influenza and other causes as Covid-19 deaths.

I’ve already heard talking heads say the near elimination of flu and pneumonia is because of the interventions we’ve been harangued about NOT following properly or C-19 would have been over by now. Uh…nope.
Size matter. Flu and C-19 are essentially the same size. The gaps in paper and cloth masks are still like chain link fences v. mosquitoes. Bacterial pneumonia is often caused by respiratory viruses weakening the bronchi, as well as the villi (little hair-like brooms) lower in the lungs, then normal bacterial flora in the nose and throat are able to cause an infection that turns into secondary pneumonia, which ends up being the actual cause of death, not the virus itself.
If masks and lockdowns stopped P&I, it would have stopped C-19. Biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the U.S. and the world.

Last week my husband and I had to be tested for Wuhan flu.
So I am at doctor office being questioned by the person performing the test. I told her that where I work there was a staff meeting of 9 people and one had covid-19 without knowing it.
I was not present at the staff meeting because I’m not staff. I never go in the office because it’s cramped and I hate masks. I stand outside the door to talk to whomever I need. I am in the greenhouse but keep my distance from others and use hand sanitizer constantly. I disinfectant everything before handling it. I’m outside 98% of the time, by myself. My husband is there on weekends and we disinfect everything before using it. The nurse said …..”Seriously? I understand. A lot of people have similar stories that have to be tested. It has been a chit show from the beginning. ”

The homeless population in CA is worse than ever now. I drive to downtown Sac regularly and the number of people living on the street there is greater than I’ve ever seen it. More and more encampments have formed, so you would think that they’d be dropping like flies from the CCP virus. Nope.
I live a mile from the state capitol, and can vouch for the homeless pandemic here. The politicians are all talk. They have no idea how to lower the numbers, assist the people, or anything else.

Tuesday I was at the vet. I sat down about four feet from a young woman, filling out paperwork. She sighed, got up and moved. I was too close!!! So a junior high school kid comes in with a massive dog that he can’t handle because the dog is super friendly, super excited, hyper, wanting attention from everyone. So this young woman whom I offended by being 2 feet too close, goes up to the dog and kid to give the dog attention. She was closer to the kid than I was to her! And the dog could have the virus on his leash, collar, harness! And she could transmit the virus to the dog!

If we do not start by dismantling and rebuilding our local and state election systems, what good does voting for anyone do until we have secure election systems?
We still have 29 States with (302 EC votes) were its possible to clean up the election system, starting with the State Reps taking back the power to certify electors.

WE VOTED for President Trump in a landslide. His election was stolen by all branches in DC. And the XO’s and Judiciary in the States. Yeah racism is bad in the military. I believe it was 1997 that the U.S. Army E 7 selection board selected zero white male service members. When the list made it to the general in charge of signing off on it he kicked it back and told them to redo it.
We then spent the next month being told it happened in the 60s to black soldiers so it was okay to do it to white people in the 90s.
I left the military 2 yrs later and never looked back. Screw that crap. I did my twenty and got out.

Pentagon – still infested with Obama holdovers after Obama voluntold most conservative Brass to retire in his first term.
Officer Corps – Outside of the Pentangle there is about a 50/50 mix of conservative to the moderate/lefty/don’t giveashit group. More constitutionally cognizant in the combat arms officers than the support officers.
Enlisted Combat Arms – Still very constitutionally conservative but at most they are only 20% of the military.
Enlisted Support – The bulk of the Military. A conservative guess puts the lefty freeshitarmy faction at about 30%. Another 30% would be considered constitutional conservatives. The 40% remainder don’t care about anything except “don’t make me work too hard and/or screw up my retirement”.
Like I said, this ain’t the US military of years before.

I’m still extremely curious about the farm land purchases of Bill Gates. Is it for genetically modified meat, genetically modified crops, windmill farms or for solar panel farms? Does he sell or lease the land to the federal government in order to achieve whatever nefarious action he has in mind?
During the hyperinflation in Germany prior to the rise of Hitler, just about the only people that got rich were the farmers. Not making Nazi comparisons here, just historical context. My point is maybe he is expecting hyperinflation? As one of my friends says about land, “It’s a limited supply. They’re not making any more of it.”
If one is worried about the economy, and particularly hyperinflation, land is the way to go.
Good land. No one should want to own or pay taxes on polluted, arid, or otherwise non-developable, etc. land.

I love Gaetz, love how he doesn’t back down, love how he knows his facts, love how articulate he is.
What I don’t get is why would he do that? First, who will likely get his seat and second, what office do you think he wishes to run for next?
Gaetz hasn’t been asked so he hasn’t resigned. Why would he do that? Because the trial is only a few days, a couple of weeks at most. There would need to be a special election for his seat. If the trial was over he could run in that election.
It will take at least 30 days or more to hold a special election. He’ll be free from the trial by then. He’s very popular in his district.
Matt Gaetz only does what Mitch allows. He’s holding the end of the leash.
The big problem with the GOP is that McConnell et al get to decide who we vote for in primary elections. People like Trump don’t make it unless they can fund their own campaigns and somehow resonate with enough voters. The republicans have funded the democrat opponent in certain states to defeat a candidate they don’t approve of. Let that sink in.
