In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.
“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”
“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

So Bed Bath And Beyond lost more than 36% of its stock value by close of business on Thursday due to a boycott organized by Media Action Network. This was in response to the company’s attack against Trump voters. Once again, imagine this boycott led by the Republican party and with long term plans to encourage conservative owned alternatives to service conservative customers. Instead, think of the official Republican response to the Wall Street outrage we just witnessed. And its not going to change.
Boycotts work.
Deprivation of income has an impact on businesses.
Denial of recognition will influence politicos.
Winning local “grass roots” elections are a start.
Only broadly participated and long-practiced boycotts work on big corporations.
We need to keep this boycott alive. People tend to have very short memories and grow weary quickly of being “inconvenienced.”
I agree, but the biggest problem is that we need more conservative alternatives that will not cave to the media lies.
Go direct and buy his products. I saw where he has so many orders the deliveries are backed up. There is pent up demand for conservative alternatives. Great opportunities for someone with the means.
I agree – my comment was about continuing the BB&B boycott, not My Pillow.
GB Bari: I agree with you. The impact of economic campaigns seems to work better when the outcry is so loud and obvious that it’s picked up, nationally, by the business and investment media and online outlets (rather than the MSM), which are more focused on market metrics, company reputation and brand image.
For example, recall the negative coverage Gillette (P&G) received a few years ago after their ad campaign that smeared their target market of male razor buyers. I believe that millions of men stopped buying Gillette. I went to an old fashioned, straight-edge razor, and haven’t looked back.
We need to act as a unified economic bloc, focusing on specific, fundamental econonomic, social and cultural issues, such as “buy American” and “buy local.” We also need to push back hard on censorship, cancel culture and restraint of free commerce–a real problem with financial companies that shut-down and shut-out legal transactions (e.g., firearms-related).
We may find more success in the economic arena than in the political arena.
It must be sustained. For years, to make an impact statement.
Aggiegirl: I’ll be shaving for many years to come with my single-edge razor, rather than a Gillette razor. No Gillette anything in our home, ever since they told me they don’t appreciate my business. Same goes for many other kinds of products and services. I vote with my wallet and my lost vote usually cannot be regained.
I hear you. Haven’t darkened the door of a Target in years.
Or Walmart
same for natural grocery and sprouts these people have totally lost reality other than there own. They post masked grocery boys at their doors insisting everyone is sick. well damn it I am not sick and will not wear a mask!
Just think of all the money we will save!
“I believe that millions of men stopped buying Gillette.”
I know a couple of them in my own little part of the world here. I went to CVS store brand after that, but I am going to go full generic when I run out because the reliability of finding refills locally has been absolutely atrocious, even for the year preceding “virus”
I read somewhere that the My Pillow peeps are having trouble keeping up with demand! I love it,
I wouldn’t touch anything but a down pillow but finally decided to try a MymPillow and dang – I love it! Soft but doesn’t compress the way down does.
It’s simple.
You at a bar. Live feed it online, it’s collated onto a provider that shows every live feed in little squares… We can interact, watch , or just know there are others like us.
We are America. We are the news.
Imagine you and your friends driving to a BB&B or Kohl’s, etc. Filling up the entire parking lot. Each going in to the store and purchasing one single, loss-leader or low cost item. Standing in a long queue at the checkout. Charging it. Maybe telling (or not) the cashier that you’ll be back to return the item tomorrow. Times 100. Every single day.
Make them trespass you to leave the store. Disruptive behavior, but I suspect there’s not much they can do about it. Plus your presence makes it difficult for other shoppers to make their purchases. The consumer (real or otherwise) has power!
Also use BBB’s 20% off one item coupon on that one item. They give those out assuming you’ll but many our items when you’re in the store.
I did that all the time in the past!
BB&B was hurting before they pulled this My Pillow stunt. It won’t take much of a consumer push to see them fold. I do feel bad for their employees though if we make it happen.
Well, to semi-quote John Kerry (who was in Viet Nam, you know): These employees made poor career choices.
“Imagine you and your friends driving to a BB&B or Kohl’s, etc. Filling up the entire parking lot. Each going in to the store and purchasing one single, loss-leader or low cost item…The consumer (real or otherwise) has power!”
Would be nice, but we do not have enough personal time “to teach them a lesson”. I think it is more practical to make a conscientious decision to shop elsewhere and then continue to tell others about it in the months and years ahead about how we found alternatives, even if it cost more or we had to wait for it to be shipped..
If we last that long.
Organize 6000 people and each has to spend half a day each month.
These are EXACTLY the type of boycott practices that will work as they not only remove your $$ from the targets pocket – but prevent others from spending there as well. Traditional boycotts – “I just won’t buy there…” will not work. We need to organize – and peacefully protest these companies – preventing them from doing business with those who support their progressive agendas.
Return your Kohl’s items. BB&B takes things back too.
yep
Evaluate your lifestyle. Seek savings in areas that are possible…(me, no purchased garbage bags for household or doggie poo). I put my estimated savings from this and other areas, such as a small hand wash loads-air dried…avoiding a fast food joint, avoiding the cafeteria at work, eiww…I bring pbj sandwiches to work and my own coffee, lights out when possible, lower the thermostats…I put the estimated savings in a jar and can easily reach 100
year. If 80 million of us did this, TPTB won’t know what hit them. Across the board will be reductions in profit rather than an advertised boycott which all companies figure into their 1-2-3-5-10 year business plans…for ‘unexpected losses’.
I used to grow weary of being inconvenienced, but no longer. This is now a fight for my freedom for which no sacrifice is too great.
You said it sister!
Phone calls are free. Nothing lost by letting them know you are no longer a customer. I canceled my newspaper for an editorial they published. When I called to cancel, the customer service rep of course wanted to try and keep my business. When it got to my saying it was because of the editorial, she said ‘Oh’ and gave up trying to keep my business. My impression was that she had heard the same too many times.
the service reps could care less they have no authority and it is designed that way. the days of working to keep a customer are long gone. This is true of cable and phone companies as well also included grocery stores. yet you can never reach those who are incharge ever. It is a game they play. the CEO’s and socalled presidents are the pimps and customer service are the prostitutes’.
Yes, also boycott items and services that generate sales and use tax revenue for governments. Throw the book out on getting along. Deny corporate America as brutally and wantonly as possible. Make them hurt. Shun their officials and employees. Don’t support their greed in any way. They own the puppets in DC and the state houses and write the laws for them. Never forget that. Never forget they’re laughing at us. Wipe that smug smirk off their polished faces. They could’ve got along, worked together to make America a better place. Nope, greed and avarice and sociopathy were too strong. They’re only human, mortal, they’re not Gods. Remind them.
Remind them there are way more of us than there are of them. Same with our DC employees too.
oh, good point there on the sales tax.
you could say this applies to local greed and power within the makeup of the cities, town and counties as well as states that decide there are rate increases, land tax increases because they mismanaged everything in that town, city, county and state. There is no accountability. I live in an area that snows it has snowed here for years so our Mayor decides to call a federal city emergency because all of the snow plows were sold off in past 3 years due to no snow. there is no accountability for looking further down the road. Oh and where is that money. we have had town managers leave with hundreds of thousands only to relocate in another small town with no punishment. I am fed up!
My experience is that the Bolsheviks running these companies like Disney will gladly cut their own throat as long as they are cutting yours. Look how they canceled the Tim Allen and Roseanne TV Shows? These two programs were making Disney billions of dollars and they didn’t care. The California theme park is closed costing Disney billions and Florida is open yet they hate Gov. DESANTIS and love Newsom!
Every year they can recoup losses by stealing from the congressional budget.
Treading on us. Murdering our parents to get their puppet president. And making our sons defend them as they rape us.
Pure evil.
Except for when the elections are rigged too.
How are you going to do that?….The DemocRATS own the machines AND the judges….
I like the idea of the Media Action Network. I might give them money. I only hesitate because the person on the web site referenced Roger Ailes. I won’t give money to the same old Fox News types, GOPe. But I like the idea of extreme boycotts and an overall list of companies to avoid. I just dont want to support the usual GOP con men.
Media Action Network. Based in Sausalito CA. Seems….unusual. Deep in enemy territory.
Who shorted first?
Along this subject:
https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/mark-finkelstein/2021/01/29/nicolle-wallace-again-floats-drone-strikes-solution-domestic
FTA: Nicole Wallace using the MSMBC platform sponsored by USAA Bank…LET THAT SINK IN…is implying that Conservative thought is the same as radical Islamic thought and should be handled the same way…through drone strikes.
LET THAT SINK IN!
AMERICANS citizens should be executed…their property decimated via standing army assets that they they paid for with their federal tax withholding.
LET THAT SINK IN!
Got it….Wallace is a nut…MSNBC is nuts…I think all here know that…no surprise…and I’m pretty sure not many Treeper’s subscribe to such dribble.
But USAA sponsorship? The same bank that requires members to be, or have been, directly associated with the standing army, is now funding the promotion that that standing army bomb any and all American citizens that have conservative POVs?
REALLY?
Didn’t USAA PULL it’s advertising from Hannity when he was opining about the suspiciousness of the murder of Seth Rich?
I was a USAA member at the time and I withdrew ALL my accounts…I think I kept $1 in each account just so USAA would loose $ in administering. And I distinctly remember on the USAA blog thousands of complaints…and the USAA “board” assuring customers that it wouldn’t happen again.
WELL IT HAS!
By financing OUR extermination, USAA is promoting socialism and a global take over of US.
Believe me…ya all can get cheap insurance with a multitude of other more patriotic institutions…and a bank is a bank.
Make a decision you can live with.
All I can say about them, is they are very progressive. (Usaa)
Not at all what one might assume.
As is Progressive Insurance, although they obviously aren’t trying to hide it!
USAA has a HUGE campus in Phoenix, owns lots of land and is developing several housing communities on their acreage.
Apparently LOTS of money in providing financial services to our military families.
Personally, I don’t patronize companies that tout their military affiliation for profit.
Almost anytime you see an affiliation like that used as a marketing gimmick, they’re abusing their own “family”. A financial services company “for” Catholics,
Lutherans,
Jews, whatever should automatically be suspect. No one rips you off more than “your own”. Look at Bernie Madoff.
USAA’s model is to convince their members that they’re getting a good deal on … insurance, mortgages, banking services. As though they actually care that you were in the military. About 1/3 of the time their pricing is competitive and about 2/3 of the time they’re overpriced. They count on the cult-like devotion some of their members have to them, which is why they can charge thousands of dollars more for a mortgage than their competitors. Even mentioning this fact tends to piss off their credulous defenders.
You speak fact Patriot.
True story: BIG forest fire in my area about 5 years ago. Lots of claims. USAA canceled homeowner policies in the area and, to this day, will not insure homes in this area. This fire was certainly not our fault.
USAA, as you astutely cited, has done a great job of establishing an illusion that they are so cheap. They assuredly are not.
Yes, true. USAA is overpriced.
Isn’t this the company that advertised, using alleged veterans and their families, in the TV commercials….
“and a bank is a bank.”
GET RID OF USING A BANK! Switch to a Credit Union, which is member owned.
After the Frank-Dodd banking legislation, money that you deposit into a bank legally becomes the bank’s money and leaves you as an unsecured creditor. So when the bank’s risky “investments” nosedive, they can legally pay you off in 60% stock in their “bank”, etc.
Good to know about USAA. I use them and they are about the most affordable ones out there but I had no idea they were into the political scene. I have to investigate but this kind of collective mind that you can get on web sites like this is a great benefit.
At the next news conference, Psaki needs to be asked if this drone strike solution will be official Biden* policy, or will the Biden* administration be condemning Wallace’s inflammatory rhetoric.
She’ll circle back on that one
I also remember that USAA would only serve the officers in the military and not the enlisted. I never would support them. American Express was the exact same.
Another area to boycott…..’unfollow’ celebrities/”influencers” on social media and encourage everyone you know to do likewise.
I’m still waiting for a boycott that I can actually boycott. I don’t follow anyone like that! LOL I don’t shop at BB&B or Kohl’s.
Do you shop Sephora? I think this one will bite hard and fast . Do liberal women wear makeup ?
https://newsla.localad.com/2021/01/30/sephora-cuts-ties-with-beauty-influencer-for-being-a-conservative-says-republicans-arent-aligned-with-their-values/
Funny that. About ten years ago liberals were screaming their heads off about boycotting Sephora because it is an Israeli company. Don’t patronize the awful little company, it’s an Israeli owned company! Conservatives went out of their way to support this overpriced cosmetics store and now look what happens. They have developed a pretty bad reputation over the past decade with just about everyone. A fence sitter. https://www.thelist.com/158935/the-biggest-scandals-to-hit-sephora/
Well it seems to me that most liberal women don’t wear makeup and in fact most liberal women seem to be men .
Wokey brokey I think.
I know, right? I don’t watch sports or pay for TV or buy new cars. I just hope I never have to boycott Aldi.
I don’t follow anyone like that either….but I guess a lot do. The day I give a rat’s behind about what a celebrity has to say about anything at all will be a cold day in *ell.
Social media – what is that? Saw it for what it was more than a decade ago and can’t figure out why others can’t. An ‘influencer’ — now that makes me laugh.
You may laugh but a LOT of people are brainwashed by these people. And the ‘influencers’ get paid big $$ to push products. If even a third of their followers were conservative and ‘unfollowed’ it would put a dent in their revenue. Just saying….
I unliked alot of things before i quit f/b.
Only way to let them know how they are doing.
And they didn’t deserve my endorsement.
It’s a good system if you can keep it flowing.
Get your hedge funds to heavily Short Option a stock. Then work with politicians and the media to gin up political opposition to the company… because of the 10000 SKUs they carry, one had some wrongthink. A good 70million Democrat voters just follow what social media tells them, without even understanding what the My Pillow guy actually said. The invisible hand of the public drives down business to said stock, future forecasted revenue drops, and other financial institutions sell, driving down the cost. Forget that Bb&B was decimated because of COVID retail apocalypse caused by Democrats. Coincidentally on the last day of the month when the options are due, the stock is magically down 36%. The hedge fund converts the short option to shares, and reaps a profit. Later, they can make a generous political donation with said profits to keep the whole scheme turning.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
It seems though the reddit boys are trying to drive the stock up to counter the hedge fund shorts.
Amazon people Amazon.
Ironically, about 25-30 years ago, a now Kohl’s in a Chicago suburb, went by the name “Main Street”. And had better quality merchandise, too. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
Using our immense power as consumers is a beautiful thing. If enough of us unify for a cause and take action as a group the results would be amazing.
The republican party is a useless shell of tainted bones. Discard it and become a no party supporter or join when/if a strong MAGA party is formed.
Cjzak: Full agreement, and doing it.
Attack brands. Millions of dollars are spent cultivating a brand and building consumer trust. Losing trust or having something negative attached to your brand is incredibly expensive to repair.
Post pictures of the worst human rights violations in China and slap a brand’s logo on it and make it go viral. That is more effective than monolithic boycotts.
Just understand a company’s demographic targets to make sure you are effective. The left attacked Chick-fil-a for its Christian stance against homosexuality. It backfired because the majority of company’s consumers are attracted to the Christian commitment in its brand.
Companies that have only mass appeal will feel the largest impact from associations with actions that are universally vile like slavery, child labor, etc.
Morning All! Happy Saturday!
Just a note to Sundance and Team, The headline needs a fix. Resitance lost an s.
Thanks for all you do!
Good catch! I did not even notice the second ‘s’ was missing.
The S is on our chest
Upon reflection and commentary of follow up facial recognition “incidents”, it would appear that universal mask wearing in DC on Jan 6 by the attendees would have been greatly advantageous…… Perhaps this can be a lesson going forward when anywhere in/near cities with known infestations of no Bill of Rights protections. This may be a time to stay under radar a bit. Let the city folks get what they will get good and hard.
This may be the Amer Thinker approach to Dom…… letter, but they are still posting. They knew that wasn’t a hill to die on and die they probably would have even if they won in the end, the process would take their last dime.
The vast majority (i.e. hundreds of thousands of people) on Jan 6 either remained at the Oval or were essentially granted admission to the Capitol after the initial bursts of confrontation.
I think the last thing on their minds was criminal intent.
But certainly a lesson learned. Guy Fawkes masks next time.
All part of Ted Cruz’s evil plot to kill AOC.
Also don’t wear any current wardrobe. Wear really old clothes from the basement / attic storage- old clothes with no unique markings. Nothing that you’ve worn in public for at least a decade.
Okay. Looks like another way to force mask compliance.
Wear your anonymous black mask, hoody, jeans, no logos , markings, tattoos when out in public.
Forced conformity.
Scary.
Re: masks….
Received a “wellness” letter from United Healthcare. Listed were several ways to stay healthy during the pandemic — the usual stuff, handwashing, 6 ft, etc.
No mention of face masks. Hallelujah!
Pretty sure that’s why Antifa and blm wear them. Greater chance of anonymity.
FBI Lawyer Who Forged Email In Carter Page FISA Process Sentenced To Probation
29 Jan 2021
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/fbi-lawyer-who-forged-email-carter-page-fisa-process-sentenced-probation
This is due, in part, to the lack of hard resistance from the right. We write about it , talk about it, tweet about it, complain about it etc, but we do not take aggressive action What would happen if we all took a knee when the pledge was said? Instead, we stand up politely and pledge our allegiance to a nation that is supposedly indivisible (not) with liberty and justice for all (not), while the left watches us and laughs. Meanwhile, the left chants “no justice, no peace” , takes a knee, mocks us, steals our votes, burns our cities down, takes our money and nominates blm for a nobel peace prize!! If we somehow do not figure out a way to fight back, we will end up like Venezuela.
Thinkers versus foolers.
When u are ready we can make local cth hellos. Find out many like you are near you to help you if a cop comes to take you from your home. It only takes 30 people to overwhelm the confidence of a confronted tunnel vision mind.
30 that can be there in 10 minutes. Stall that long.
Privilege of Peerage
Here is the situation as I see it. One we walk away from politics because it is totally corrupt and we cannot win.
Two, we vote for a third party candidate.
Three, we work within the Republican party and try to elect conservative/maga candidates.
I think the first option is the same as quitting, even if the fight is doomed to failure. The second option could be promising, if there was a third party with viable candidates, but I haven’t seen that yet. And the third option is where I am now, but I don’t know if there are enough motivated people to overcome the inevitable rino roadblocks. Time will tell.
Whether it is third party or reinvigorated R party, we still need good candidates.
We need to set goals. One of those goals should be to stop the far left agenda by gaining control of the house and senate, even if not a perfect solution, it would slow down the destruction and give us time to find good candidates.
We need to keep in mind that if even three more states, just three states, had had decent election oversite Trump would still be president. Arizona state legislature is still fighting to clean up their elections so it won’t happen again. I have heard some things about Wisconsin cleaning up its act. So where is Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, and Nevada at? Are they still being bombarded by angry voters demanding a fix for the crooked election?
It isn’t JUST those states! That is the problem. The fraud and corruption is likely in almost every state, maybe excluding a few deeply red states, but wasn’t Georgia considered deep red? And I read that ARIZONA is bringing in the same dominion frauds to do their audit, so they are not really trying to clean up anything.
.
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors are trying to hire a ‘faux’ to audit the henhouse.
The state legislature is insisting on independent auditors.
Both of these things are not like the other . . .
The PA state legislature is supposedly having hearings on election integrity and people are sending suggestions for changes. Who knows what will come of it. All they had to do was follow our state constitution and not give their power away to the governor and Secretary of state.
The state GOPe may be crooked also, in local and congressional district elections. That may be primary reason that the ‘red’ state legislatures dis not investigate vote fraud with their subpoena authority. They are part of the vote fraud to perpetuate themselves.
Indeed. They will say, see? Joe won fair and square.
Arizona is full of Rhinos. It is a state built on corruption. the Arizona Mafia is how I refer to them. it is about greed and power. The governor is corrupt and so is every city Mayor, board of Supervisors, city council members and mayors along with city attorneys. The only good ones are Biggs and Gossar period. The rest are in for personal attainment of a higher position. They are pompous asses all of them!
Many of our noble efforts will have some level of impact, however, it is doubtful if it is enough to destroy the Evil Machine. The portions of the cabal that are outside our country will be able to prevent bankruptcy. Remember, part of plan is to break economies to enslave peoples (make government dependent.) We need a more potent weapon that can be brought to bear against the Evil Machine from outside its system.
I propose the WEAPON OF SEPARATION.
The Confederate States of America was formed to be a PERMANENT NATION that maintained its slavery based economic system.
Our Separation would be formed to dismantle the Evil Machine FOR THE PURPOSE OF FULL RESTORATION OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. It is thus temporary in nature – as long as the process take to free the remaining states.
Really bad and destructive idea. You cannot fix the union by destroying it.
true, but it is already broken by corruption and vote fraud. The essence of the “Union” is the Constitution and the ability of the ‘people’ to prevent permanent concentration of unbridled power, by honest, one-per-citizen vote. We have government agencies with un-removable SES dictators who ignore the laws and flaunt the Constitution. We have elections, spying, and prosecutions with fake votes, affidavits and corrupted courts.
A separation could save what is left?
Can you simply get a local community you participate in again?
We were separated from that power. Isolated to speaking online .
It only take 30 people to saturate the tunnel vision of 4 well armed men and make then feel their tunnel vision is overwhelmed, and they look for help.
If the third option has even a prayer of happening, one of the first steps then is to wipe out the leadership of the GOP and the RNC.
with utmost respect, i submit there is no rehabbing the gop.
it is a PRIVATE organization run for the benefit of themselves.
they make their own rules, and staff the organization only with fellow travelers. (see rona, the current chair.)
the days of lee atwater are over.
there is no way they will let contrary voices inside, and certainly not in a position to change anything.
i’m sorry to repeat myself, but it is a PRIVATE entity…..
and you ain’t in that, either. ?
Agreed. Ronna just said the repubs would not support PTrump as a candidate again. You have entrenched GOPes like McConnell who won’t go down without a vicious fight. All that opposition will prevent concentrating on picking good candidates and getting them elected anytime soon. It could take a decade to weed out the gop establishment from the party.
A new party at least would not have the obstacle of securing the party from those opposed to MAGA candidates and/or PTrump himself. It would start from day one with the platform in place and ready to work directly and with full focus against the Dem/left machine. imo.
As mentioned above, ia new party can nominate and support honest GOP candidates. A vote for a Candidate X of the “Patriot” or “American” Party is added together with GOP votes for the same Candidate X in an election.
But donations to a “Patriot” party Candidate X does not require 25% to be given to anti-american GOPe candidates.
A new Party that supports some of the ‘good’, honest GOP, but none of the dishonest GOPe can be the ‘best of both worlds’.
A third party can nominate and vote for a GOP candidate. Like the farmer/labor party in minnesota supports and votes for most democrats.
An advantage is that donations do not get 25% shared with GOPe anti-constitution repubs like cheny, romney, etc. So there can be a ‘primary’ to remove GOPe, then an election to remove them. In the meantime, no donations go to the big-bank/chamber-of-commerce owned candidates like mcconnell and the congresscritters that voted to impeach PDJT.
A new party is not “all or nothing”. It can be blended with removing the GOPe crooks.
I’m not giving up, but I have left the Republican Party. They have to know they can’t count on my vote.
Someone has to win my vote for me to declare a party before the primary. It might be a Democrat.
All of these options were tried. Many times over. Our goal must include a fresh start. No more bread and circuses.
The “Option One” faction had given up on politics around forty years ago, stopped voting altogether and moved on to greener pastures after their cities got destroyed. They ceded their power.
I remember the OBI owner Robert Matherson and his slogan: “Move out of New York Before it’s Too Late!” Looks like ceding territory to the Leftists didn’t work out so well. Now, there are no longer any green pastures to run to.
The Tea Party outliers also tried to shake things up in an attempt to punish, if not reform, the Republican Party. But it looks like their vetting process overlooked more than a few Judases, who once again led us down the primrose path.
That was all Before Trump. After Trump is another story. Now the masks and gloves are off. ??
Instead of going backwards to reinvent the wheel, I say we finally move on, ALONG WITH MILLIONS OF WALKAWAY DEMOCRATS. We, the citizens of the USA, will form a *new* party to represent the citizens of the USA.
This time, we will burn down BOTH sides of the UNiparty, in all its iterations. Feeding at the COC trough will become a distant memory. We know that won’t last much longer anyway, and that the dragon will drop it’s panda facade after their New World Order COUP is cemented.
Otherwise, we are THISCLOSE to the USA and the free world becoming the distant memory, instead. So, we are actually doing the UNiparty a favor and saving them from themselves.
The only way to capture the hearts and minds of ALL Americans is to #walkaway together, from BOTH SIDES of the UNiparty.
We are off to a good start by stressing out the swamp rats AND their COC benefactors that torment us.
Right now, with compromised voting machines, we the people have ZERO electoral influence on our so-called representatives. We will have to start OUTSIDE of the political sphere to rectify this situation, before we can ever hope to correct it from INSIDE the political sphere.
Bottom line is the power rests not within DC. It rests with we, the *people* of these United States of America. We had better take hold of those reins while we still can, and use our power wisely.
??
Not sure if anyone posted this, but if you look at the paper cut outs 40+ EOs, they mirror the agenda of the WEFs great reset which I believe concluded yesterday. The cut out signed 10 of these alone that address the Rona “crisis” that, if I’m not mistaken, are supposed to go into effect this Thursday.
States are starting to ease back the virus restrictions, so what is to be expected within the next several days? Build back better is the great reset.
This should not shock anyone who is/was paying attention.
jus wundrin: States are conditioning the populace to respond obediently to every dictate and order. Communists impose and relax restrictions, often without apparent logic, as a means to condition the populace. After tightening down, communists will grant some relief, only to retract those new “freedoms,” without justification, at a later time.
This is all about conditioning and controlling the masses.
Wow! 50 years later I didn’t think this would be relevant again, but there we are.
Burton’s vocals totally own the tune.
And F&&k Lenny Kravitz and his W-43 version.
Last one. Texit, impractical as it may be, is sounding better every day.
I am completely on board with Texit and hope a few deep red states join in.
That didn’t work very well last time.
So, Arizona is going to do an audit of Dominion with independent auditors. But, the Arizona Senate Republicans want to do their own audit as well. It may take time, but hopefully we will rid ourselves of these cheating Dominion machines.Perception is important here and obviously they have features that allow vote tampering and adjusting.
https://www.theepochtimes.com/maricopa-county-votes-to-perform-forensic-audit-of-machines-used-in-november-election_3675298.html?utm_source=newsnoe&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=breaking-2021-01-28-1
How about a mail-in ballot signature audit?
I agree, but suspect that in all the “usual suspect” States, the envelopes in which the anonymous, secret ballots arrived, have been discarded.
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors who ignored their subpoena from the State of Arizona are doing their own “audit”. They hired a company with ties to Dominion according to conservative talk show host JKHarris on KFYI.
The State responded thank you but they want to do their own truly independent and full audit. Stay tuned.
Poor kabuki theatre from my other newly elected senator. How far does she think this bill will travel through Congress? She needs to take a page from the marxist dem playbook, like TX AG Paxton did, and file a lawsuit to BLOCK it.
https://sheridanmedia.com/news/38351/senator-lummis-to-introduce-bill-prohibiting-oil-and-gas-moratorium/
….and repubs wonder why people are sick of them.
“Waaaaaaa, we can’t do anything. Give us back the senate and we will fix this.”……in 3,2,1.
Get those lawsuits flying, GOP! Show us you actually care!
“The left finds a way to ruin everything.” That’s a quote from the wife. As a member of the resistance I try to find things to watch that don’t infuriate me. I thought I could sit down to a relaxing day of watching dogs and cats run around and do silly things at, ‘The Puppy Bowl’.
This morning I saw an add for said Bowl that will feature Snoop Dog and Martha Stewart. Sigh! I have enjoyed the Puppy Bowls since their inception. No politics, no crap, just a bunch of cuteness. The Island of watchable shows is almost gone, right along with our country. God Bless us all
The Lingerie Bowl was pretty good too, but wives probably didn’t think so
Would you really be happy about your wife watching a bunch of male strippers on TV and going “Honey, why don’t you look like that”?
On my wife’s 60th birthday, my wife threw herself a party with all her female friends and hired a male stripper for the entertainment, and no, I left and went to a movie.
Well, then, don’t you think it’s a bit unreasonable to expect us to be thrilled about y’all ogling insanely perfect women on TV?
No
What’s anathema for the goose is fine for the gander?
Any gal or guy getting married that wants a stripper at their bachelor – bachelorette party should not be getting married. IMHO!
The reason most men have wives is because we ladies don’t care as much about looks ?.
“we ladies don’t care as much about looks”
That’s right – just money. Take two men – one faithful, honest and loving – but poor. The other is rich, but an unfaithful abusive liar.
What percentage put up with all that dung just for the $$$? Sorry if that seems a bit jaded, but I have found it to be true way too often.
Because good, honest, loving men who won’t throw us over for the newest model as soon as our looks start fading are extremely rare and hard to find, and mostly already claimed. If you’re going to be miserable with someone who is just using you as eye candy, might as well be miserable and have enough to eat as miserable and starve.
“men who won’t throw us over for the newest model as soon as our looks start fading”
Most of the new models are socialist. Their maturity level to engage in meaningful conversation concerning life is also lacking.
“mostly already claimed”
There are quite a few out there that were never claimed and others whose spouses have passed. People get set it their ways, so unless you take an initiative and set out to do things where you can meet new people, then you are not going to meet many new people.
“extremely rare and hard to find”
We are both in full agreement on that one, especially if you abhor “social media” and refuse to enlist the help of dating and matchmaker websites!
Well, the “newer model,” as advocated above, could also be [often is] porn, softcore or hardcore. Then you end up with a relationship where he’s getting his needs met through media and she’s getting neglected, and since society by and large is so accepting of it she has no recourse. There again: if you’re just going to get thrown over in a year or so for something new, might as well be financially comfortable as starving in the gutter.
Watching porn is like starving to death and then watching your neighbor cook a steak.
And yet the choice to abandon one’s relationship or marriage in favor of porn is becoming a more and more widespread choice. I’m active in several communities where people come whose relationships/marriages/lives have been ruined by porn, and those communities are expanding at an alarming rate.
I’m with yo on the dating web sites. It’s truly frightening now many people trust them or else they’re desperate.
Love that saying: “When you marry for money, you earn every penny!”
Actually ladies are more concerned with the looks of men’s pocket books.
Lighten up !!!
The usual fallback answer when perversion and immorality are called out.
Wives are probably glad people like you are occupied; leaving them alone.
I watch GRIT TV; Westerns from bygone days. Very little politics and good, wholesome messages.
Yes yes yes Grit tv
John Wayne , Randolph Scott and all the greatold movies.. no transgender BS, men were men and women were to be protected and honored..
I watch Grit TV with father in law. I love it and seeing young actors, Adam West, Eddie Albert the last couple days. Young Charles Bronson. I have no idea how it stays on. Not one of those shows could be made now. Who owns Grit? If one wrong person saw any of that as they flip thru, it would be gone in a nanosecond.
It is great old TV.
I think Katz Media Group owns Grit TV
Yep, our new woke society has, is, and will produce in greater qyantity, God like men, built like gladiators, which ONLY wish is to decorate houses – while a the other end, gorgeous princesses who ADORE NFL quarterbacks, not because they find them sexually attractive, but because they want to BE them – and in a short while WILL.
Imagine that Biden hangs out in his basement and watches Grit in his downtime, pretty sure that is where he came up with dog faced pony soldier.
Try TV Land. Reruns of Hogan’s Heroes ROCK!
We have them in the recording due – we’ll NEVER and sadly our kids will NEVER see that kind of humor again.
Just curious, but who do you think is at fault that we’ll never see that kind of show humor message again? Imo, it’s because we the people let it all slide away with nary a peep from our consumer mouths.
TV responds to advertisers who respond to viewership. No viewers, no advertisers, no show. So let’s put the blame right where it belongs for the garbage shown on our tvs and computers–ON US. We allowed it.
It sounds like too few of us did it for the advertisers to feel the pain and stop. Our TV watching days have sadly dwindled.
The grandbabies LOVE my 3 stoogies collection.
Throw your TV in the trash, lol. That is where mine would be if it wasn’t for the husband, and he doesn’t even watch it either. It just sits there collecting dust and I will not dust the enemy.
My husband watches Grit TV as well, but I can repeat the dialogue from most if the shows even though I don’t actively watch.
He has been watching Outer Limits lately, but I find it reflects too much of the current dystopian climate.
?
i used to love the puppy bowl, too.
saw the very first one way back when.
now it’s a virtue signaling mess.
the left has managed to make even puppies political.
i’ve taken to screaming into my My Pillow.
it does help a little!?
She has no idea what Biden thinks, and is not quite sure he does.
She has a lot of papers and doesn’t have them organized. Maybe she needs Kayleigh McEnany to help her get squared away.
Incompetent, insufferable and deliberately obtuse.
It’s by design. A power move. ” Take this circle back crapola and like it” and the press does.
We are the Resistance but where is our leader? Where is our President Trump?
Our nation is battered and bleeding less than a month after the hologram was installed as the false president. We are under a vicious daily assault from the Chi Coms via the DemonRats who have taken over our Republic without our consent.
The so called Republican “leadership” is useless. They have no idea how to fight.
I do not know nor would I pretend to know the reasons or the strategy for our President Trump’s absence during this time. Maybe as some say, it is because of the impeachment but since when did that ever stop him from speaking out?
Our President Trump has always been fearless and never one to walk away without a fight. Yet he is silent, and withdrawn at a time when his wisdom and leadership is most needed.
There are 100 million people out there who voted for him and who are still looking to President Trump for guidance and direction. I know I certainly am, especially on the question of starting a new party, for example.
I hope and pray that our great President who is the legitimate POTUS, will soon begin to publicly address the many issues that we are facing. Viva la resistance!
I think he will once the sham peach 45 part deux is over.
Exactly.
I am truly tired of everyone bashing Trump on this site.
Where is he? you ask. You expect this one man to fight your battles for you. You stand by lost without him? Honestly!!
President Trump is fighting the entire system for you and himself. Is he not allowed to concentrate on the fact he is facing a huge battle for his life and livelihood.? Is he not allowed time to mount a legal defense strategy?
President Trump taught you how to fight. You watched him take hundreds of arrows for you.
Time for MAGAs to engage in the political struggle peacefully alongside him, not just stand behind him, but with him. You are all leaders and you should all stand in the political gap. That is what is required in efforts to save your freedoms.
You think that what I wrote is “bashing” our President Trump?
Get a grip.
Sounded that way to me too, like criticism.
I suspect he is huddling with his lawyers, talking about the upcoming sham impeachment and getting past that.
Any outpouring of support in the way of crowds in DC run the risk of the DC police, the FBI, and all other legs of the Swamp try to use crowds to claim, “They’re trying to kill us; they’re running an insurrection,” etc.
What would happen, I wonder, if a million people showed up to surround DC or parts of it and did nothing but stand silently holding MAGA flags and American flags by the thousands? Stay away from the military zones, just surround the Capitol area far enough away but still making plain what the protest is about. But absolutely no sound at all, just standing still and focused. Sending a message.
Antifa in maga hats would be dispatched to make trouble, then the NG would be sent in and it all be maga fault…. imo
Please know that I am not for one minute “bashing” our President Trump. I believe he is the greatest President in the history of our country.
If we don’t hear from him then he is PLANNING (with a little golf thrown in!) He’s only been out of the White House ten days. He’s already announced the Office of the Former President and met with (ack) Kevin McCarthy. That’s pretty good for a guy who’s being impeached and censored on social media!
“Yet he is silent, and withdrawn at a time when his wisdom and leadership is most needed.” Looks like bashing to me.
maybe PDJT is human, and needs a break. Maybe he is recalibrating now that more backstabbers have come out of the woodwork like termites. Maybe his couices are not all that great, and difficult to make.
“I do not know nor would I pretend to know the reasons or the strategy for our President Trump’s absence during this time.” “Seneca the Elder”
“CTH Fan” … try improving your reading comprehension before you accuse someone of bashing President Trump.
Boogy- thanks very much for your understanding. I think you have read enough of my posts to know that I would never “bash” our President Trump, under any circumstances.
Like everyone else who comes here, I am extremely worried and upset by the events of the last several months. Every day we get another punch to the gut, or at least that’s what it feels like when I read the news and Sundance’s articles. No one can deny that our Republic is in grave danger, probably the worst state of affairs that I have seen in my lifetime. I never thought there could ever be an administration worse than Hussein’s but here it is.
I cannot nor would not second guess our President. That was not the point of my comment.
When I read your always insightful post and then the goofy condemning responses it makes a beautiful segue into the “Ausonius” masterpiece post much later on where he offers up his opinions on school daze.
Now, I see, he has come to your defense just below my post. How embarrassing for a few folks.
Boogy- thanks again.
Ausonius is one of the most insightful commentators in this group and his posting today about education was right on the money. I copied it and sent to several friends of mine who I know will appreciate it.
Here’s another thing- the last thing that we need at this point is for conservatives to be at war with other conservatives. It is one of the great problems that I have seen with our side, namely too much back biting and personal attacks.
That is something that I do try to avoid at all costs and would hope that nothing I write would inspire such controversy.
You are one of PT ‘s strongest supporters.?
Thank you!
The only option was to invoke the “Insurrection Act” or “Emergency Powers ACT” or both based on Exe Order EO13848. Let the military seize all voting machines and investigate the election due to foreign involvement. We know China was involved at many different levels/ways and let that all be exposed which makes it a national security emergency issue.
But President Trump did not pull the trigger on that plan. All is lost now, this new regime that sold out to communism will move rapidly to change the way you live, speak, communicate and all your freedoms will be gone. We had a nice 245 year run, but the communist/marxist have now conquered America.
It’s not bashing, we are asking why he tossed in the towel ?
Yes, I do not understand why voting machines, ballot records and envelopes, and internet NSA records were not seized for inspection, which was a very minimal action under the 2017 EO. THere was enough ‘foreign interference’ to do so, despite the refusal of the CIA to comply. Special Forces were under PDJT’s direct and indirect command.
I also do not understand why PDJT did not order ( a year or 2 ago) that unredacted copies of the hillary/dnc/wolfe/awan and weiner, FISA fraud, 85% illegal spying, fusion-steele and other records of government corruption be sent to White House Counsel (and himself) . And the JFK assassination records he promised would be released. All well within his Constitutional responsibilities to “Take Care” the laws are faithfully executed, that the Constitution be protected, and equal protection of the laws be carried out.
How much power did he really have? One has to wonder. Everyone in DC was against him. He could have order something like files and it would be simply be slow walked and ignored…..seems to me.
then fire them.
What did he say on the golf course a few days ago ? He said.
“We’re not finished yet”
Um, we did all that, we backed him, we stood by his side, he called & we came…& we got our brains beat in because he walked away. Any one of three moves available to him & he is in the oval & we are celebrating still today. 2018 EO, Insurrection Act, Martial Law. Any one of those & we win. But hey, at least we didn’t break any rules, right Jenna Ellis? And Rudy, better Irish up that coffee some more.
Sometimes in life you have to stand back and let things happen, before speaking up. ?
I hope that there never comes a time when I will have to censor myself for posting a comment like the one I just did.
Last time I looked, free speech was still allowed at the Tree House.
If you have ever read any of my numerous comments, you would know that I am a sincere and absolute supporter of our President Trump.
Free speech at the Treehouse comes with being able to take criticism.
Fair enough.
hang in there Seneca, you are an eagle. Don’t let the turkeys get you down
Exactly. Seneca doesn’t seem to understand that. Must be looking for someone to flatter him.
Yes, you are a strong supporter, Seneca, of PDJT. Your posts are always passionate, edifying and proactive for PDJT. Believe me, I understand and share your frustration. The injustice of the past 4 years has been grueling, with no end in sight.
Waiting seems to be the best option now. Perhaps we need to also acknowledge that this assault/fight has left us, but mostly left our President who fought alone, bloodied and battered.
The Tea Party lit the torch, President Trump carried it and shined it on all the evil and is probably now ready to hand that torch off to the next Godly designated leader to fight against the tyranny happening in our country of all kinds.
I see President Trump as a King David archetype, the warrior, the one who got “blood” on his hands…..and now, just as the cause of building the Temple was given to his son for a “non-warrior” phase), Solomon, perhaps in this same way, the mantle will need to be passed on from President Trump to another, with a different, yet effective skillset for the times and for God’s will and purposes to be accomplished.
There is the other part of God’s plan, the day and hour of which I do not know. When the antichristian church and state think they have dethroned Him, He rends the heavens and comes down. Could be immanent, could be centuries away.
Yes, John, your point is true and I didn’t want to get into the OTHER side of the coin. We as believers KNOW what is coming, and we think – is this God’s plan that He told us would come?
I think we may be a little resistant that this is the trajectory toward what God says will come our way because we’re all shell-shocked that it (the evil) has come upon us so quickly, or that it has even come in our lifetime.
Wherever we are on the count down, it sure is clear that we are in a battle of good vs. evil. How ironic that those who rage against the Lord’s Annointed have raged so viciously against PDJT. God bless him for tha.
Gaby- thanks very much for a great comment. The injustice and pure evil that have gone on these past 5 years has been unimaginable.
Not critizing you at all.
Didn’t mean to even consider self- censorship.
Just saying sometimes it is best in ‘life’ to keep quiet.
From what I am reading President Trump keeping quiet is driving some people nuts. ?
Apparently some here can’t even comprehend what you wrote. People are running their mouths and ignoring your 4th paragraph, 1st sentence, or not understanding it.
Reading comprehension … a lost art.
Greetings Again!
“…I do not know nor would I pretend to know the reasons or the strategy for our President Trump’s absence during this time. Maybe as some say, it is because of the impeachment but since when did that ever stop him from speaking out?

If read carefully, this shows that Seneca the Elder is yearning to lay the foundation for the next battle. He has great energy to charge the enemy, and is not making a criticism of President Trump.
President Trump is in his mid-70’s almost. Planning takes time and much contemplation.
Silence in our society is nearly impossible to find, with noise constantly broadcasted into the environment of the population, who seem almost terrified to be alone with their thoughts…perhaps because they are afraid to introspect, afraid that their thoughts will dare to reveal the truth about their lives to them?
I understand therefore the president’s silence, but am also impatient and want to get going! That is what Seneca the Elder is writing about!
“I hope that there never comes a time when I will have to censor myself for posting a comment like the one I just did.”
Amen! Self-censorship and censorship in general are the hallmarks of our enemies, the Communist DEMS!
Ausonius- obviously reading comprehension is one of your strongest point!
Your posts are brilliant and most informative.
Thanks for everything.
Trump has purposely taken himself out of the limelight. He wants all the focus to be placed on Biden. The more on Biden the more people “see”. Also, people need to “feel the burn” as a result of Biden and each day more people do.
Think how counterproductive it would be if Trump was all over TV giving interviews right now and making comments? The attention needs to be focused on Biden so people can become more aware the result of Biden. People already know the result of Trump.
Trump knows people have to “see and feel”. Trump has spent 4-years “telling” and now it is time for people to “feel the burn” as a result of Biden. There is still a lot of “burning” to be done before it becomes universal. In the meantime Trump is most effective “waiting in the weeds”.
Ausonius- I saw this article and thought you might appreciate it. Cheers!
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/01/a_blackout_in_which_we_cancel_the_culture.html
Just because you don’t know what is happening with President Trump does not mean that nothing is happening. I am sure he is doing what he thinks is required at this time. In the meantime, each of us should be investigating what WE can do for our country!
Honestly, even if he is taking some vacation and just playing golf (which I doubt), doesn’t he deserve some time off?
Yes, thanks.
What … you can’t read? Try reading “Seneca’s” 4th paragraph, 1st sentence. You owe “Seneca” an apology.
I owe Seneca nothing. Perhaps you are reading the 4th paragraph on the wrong comment.
This is probably a good time to remind you – and others – that belittling or insulting others on these threads is against our commenting guidelines.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, this time. Perhaps you missed the first sentence in my comment:
Just because you don’t know what is happening with President Trump does not mean that nothing is happening.
I think keeping quiet right now is the smartest thing to do. Look what it’s causing. They are getting more fearful by the minute. It’s causing such fear in them that they are going overboard. They can’t make a dent in his support while his supporters grow in numbers at least that’s what is being reported. Let them have to report on the major screw up in the White House not on his tweets. The GameStop fiasco is opening even more eyes. Let it keep going. I’m loving it.
P.S. they’re going to crucify him next which will only result in his growing in stature. Let them. They look unhinged.
My whole life I watched the crooked media and Dems mock, ridicule and laugh at every Republican politician. Well they sure as hell are not laughing at President Trump are they. They know the truth about the election. Who needs to spend this much time and effort on a former President?
I bet he wants the role of tamer.
As in we get loud.. and they call him to ask him to negotiate.
Very similar to alinksy tricks, but we flip it on them… This way he is never responsible.. instead he is simply the nice guy asked to help…
And of course he fcks them over and drives the pain deeper. But deception to is the new safety mask.
NJMAGA,
Great Post cheers!
I too am staying quiet, and have been quite vociferous in my defence of PDJT.
Just this morning though, while at coffee I was able to “ take the piss” out of a PDJT detractor.
I quickly rattled off Biden’s latest gaffs, and then pointed to our higher gasoline prices here in Canada ( approx 15 cents per litre ) and food prices are rapidly increasing.
We Canadians can no longer fly to warmer destinations unless we stay in government sanctioned hotels for 14 days upon return.
A silent revolt is brewing, and PDJT will be at its forefront.
If anyone is interested in Canada’s Resistance check out Ezra Levant at Rebel Alliance.
God bless PDJT
Let him get past the Impeachment
Perhaps it’s time to just let Biden/Harris and the rest of the incompetents to destroy all that Trump built up so Americans can experience the fruits of their choice. It’s not that I want people like this man to suffer, it’s just that our political choices have been so lousy that pain is inevitable. If people wake up due to the Democrat’s gross miscalculations and crap policies, perhaps a “great awaking” will bring about change for the better instead of the back and forth between Leftist Democrat’s and squish Republican’s. And maybe, Donald Trump will get some credit for policies that were good for the country and actual working Americans.
Real Americans had their votes stolen and dominion chose Biden
Yes, the crooked media needs to be able to focus hate and controversy on PDJT to stir up viewership. Without him, the media loses viewers, ad money and interest, big time.
And they have nothing else to report than what biden and the dems are doing. Which is already hurting their jobs, unions, and companies that supported biden and the dems. Even the love-in-forbiden WH press conferences have a few questions that produce only friction among the dems. (How could biden do that to us…he promised not to…)
PDJT may be saying to the media – “miss me yet, with your declining viewership and revenue and job loss”?
OUR political choices have not been lousy! At least 100 million of us voted for our President Trump.
The election was STOLEN. Pure and simple.
I posted this in an earlier thread, but believe it applies here.
DJT broke the cozy little uniparty/globalist plan.
He could not be bribed-already very wealthy.
He could not be blackmailed. He lived his life in public, and had no skeletons in the closet.
He managed to escape multiple full-on attempts at impeachment and personal destruction. Like his style or not, he has always operated within the law, although sometimes treading very close to the edge.
The uniparty couldn’t control him with any of their usual tactics, forcing them to resort to more and more transparent fraudulent behavior.
So, now we know.
We have been played for decades, and the more we awaken the larger the threat we present and the more “they” need to control us.
But, since WE KNOW, we have no recourse but to get more creative in our response. “They” are trying to push us to violence, because that’s what they would do.
Hopefully, we can be more creative than that.
The more they are exposed, the weaker they become. This is not just America. The world is watching.
Cheers. Yes the world is watching and many are utterly shocked at the corruption in the U.S.A.
I am Canadian and greatly appreciate our neighbours to the South.
I am looking at the San Juan Islands ( NW Washington State.) across the bay as I type this.
It may be your corrupt judiciary that is most disturbing, you appear to have no rule of equal protection under the law.
The courts have been the biggest let down for me personally.
I knew Congress was rotten, though I underestimated the extent… it seems pretty thorough.
Now Reddit and Wallsteetbets have outed all the billionair/elitist and their corruption.. on the stock market..
INHO we are at war and there will be huge changes made. In looking back at history.. remember 100 years ago.. the Tzar of Russia.. and what happened.. the Uniparty are just puppets for today’s Tzar.. I don’t think it’s going to end well for them.. WE ARE NOT uneducated as much as MSM tries to make us.
The peasants are not unarmed and we are not about to be headed into cattle cars or gulags… there are millions of us.. and they are scared,,,
Maybe he’s starting to doubt and be discouraged himself. Taking time to recuperate? I’m sure he needs it… Think of Washington going into the woods to pray, at Valley Forge. He wasn’t abandoning his scared, confused, rebellious army. He was trying to find his own path.
He will. He is preparing. He knows, sadly, that his success will come from the populations ever increasing pain. He believes he must have 65% to 70% of the population with him before he can act. I expect we will be there soon.
The Republican leadership does know how to fight. They have been fighting President Trump and is for five years.
Seneca – Thank you for your thoughtful comments. You articulate similar thoughts I have pondered witnessing the lighting speed of the unraveling of our Republic. It is happening at warp speed, in our face and shocking us to the core.
To question, to ponder, to post comments is one of the best features at CTH – aside from the community, fellowship and high quality of information.
Looking forward to more of your comments – even the ones I may not agree with!
SMV- many thanks for your kind words and I am honored to be able to comment here and share my thoughts with so many wonderful people. Sundance and his staff have done an amazing and inspired job of maintaining one of the last bastions of free speech and civility
May God bless and keep them always.
Don’t you think Trump wants you and 10’s of millions as you to be “shocking to the core”? How else would Trump get everyone’s necessary serious attention?
It’s working then
Seneca, you are one of the best and most gracious commenters at the Treehouse. Your lament is my lament.
Not to wax biblical …but
In scripture, ‘forty days,’ is often repeated as the time period for testing, judgment or renewal. If that number holds any spiritual significance for our President Trump, then we all might temper our anxiety just a bit…at least until March 1…that is.
John OB- thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind and generous words as well as your understanding.
To me, our President Trump is a man of almost biblical proportions and achievements. I always felt that he was sent to us through Divine Intervention and it is my fervent prayer that he will be able to continue his presidency, even if need be, in exile, for as long as it takes to restore our Republic.
The city where Mar A Lago resides is looking at every way possible to make President Trump leave permanently
In AZ- that is terrible- I had no idea. How so?
here is an article on you tube too
44 got it before he went to war…….they get it after they went to war. That is progress to the left.
It just shows that George Orwell was correct. War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength. Every day is Pajama Day! Everyday is casual Friday!
Annie,
A guy at a meeting I attended last night had on a facemask that had “Orwell was right “
emblazoned on its front..Awesome!!
..
That’s the best the Left can come up with, nominating the BLM for a peace prize in order to counter the three nominations for President Trump? Very telling how the definition of peace has been usurped just to not let Donald J. Trump have another win!
https://tnc.news/2021/01/30/panel-discussion-featuring-rex-murphy-digs-into-motivations-behind-the-great-reset/
Just finsihed listening to this panel discussion on the great reset and the politics involved. I feel like it was sane and well thought out compared to the screaming rhetoric and wild conspiracy theories that abound. However I also think it is a bit overly optimistic in terms of what we can do.
Both Furey and Murphy went on to point out in the panel discussion that a green agenda seems to be the driving force behind the [Sparkle Socks’] embracing of the Great Reset.
“…we don’t have a prime minister who is interested in climate activism, we have a climate activist who has by chance become prime minister,” said Furey.
Politico reporter: Trump base is ‘getting stronger’ since he left office, impeachment would only empower him
‘I think that there’s a huge disconnect between Washington and the rest of the country’
Excerpt:
Former President Donald Trump has actually gained — not lost — political clout since leaving office, a political observer asserted Friday.
Politico reporter Tara Palmeri’s observation runs contrary to the assumptions of many in the Washington D.C. establishment and the mainstream media.
“People don’t want to hear anything against Trump,” Palmeri said during an appearance on MSNBC. “Actually, the more he stays out of the media, the more that he becomes this martyr, this looming figure over the GOP.”

This is why I keep harping on the point that Jack Dorsi and Mark Zuckerberg did Trump a HUGE favor by removing him from their platforms. If he’s not around, the media can’t demonize him. I always said Twitter hurt him more than it helped. So the left has only made Trump stronger.
POTUS with the platform would of kept the protest going until pure election submission occurred and he remained in office.
It was a trade off for them of what’s worse.. losing all credibility, or him staying in power.
Trump’s election was lost because of voter-fraud. Suggesting anything else legitimises the fraud election. Had there been 10-votes for Trump there would had been 11-votes for Biden…..all the “This or That” means absolutely nothing.
he would of kept the protest going with a platform – thats why he was pulled.
instead we are tucked tail domestic terrorist right now, and he had to SUBMIT.
he was outplayed that day – by people who have nothing to lose and dont care if they harm americans.
Just because it’s funny @ilDonaldoTrumpo. It’s trashy too but funny
Twitter and gab
With one semester left in my teaching career – I will be retiring as a septuagenarian in June – and because of certain incidents this week at school. I write the following.
I have been observing and wondering about my present students, 11 to 13 years old in my Latin classes at a suburban Catholic grade school.
I also have been taking into account the students presently being tutored by Mrs. Ausonius at a Catholic high school here in central Ohio.
Looking at the present situation from our personal standpoints, and in union with some other teachers across the country whose observations and thoughts are similar, I offer the following comments about the possible future of America.
From our own experiences and those of other teachers across the country, the greatest hoax in education today is the claim that “ONLINE LEARNING IS JUST AS GOOD AS – OR EVEN BETTER THAN – A REGULAR CLASSROOM.”
No greater lie has occurred in education in the last 25 years. Unless the student is in the top 1% intellectually and highly motivated, or a competent parent is sitting right next to him/her at the table, the student will more likely not do much and not learn much.
Second, this past year will handicap a generation of students from universities to kindergartens, because of the above situation. A ZOOM “meeting” is NOT THE SAME as a classroom. That should be obvious, but because we have mainly idiots in charge of our country right now, it must be emphasized.
Related to the above is the sad situation of the spread of Dishonesty among the last two generations. Cheating has always been known in schools, of course, but today cheating has been rationalized by the Internet into “using resources.” I predicted this 25 years ago to my colleagues, who were touting the Internet as a great tool for research. They were not wrong, but the very dark other side of that coin is that the Internet offered massive opportunities for cheating…
…and I can assure you that a majority of students in the last two generations have cheated with the Internet to some extent.
From cutting and pasting answers off the Internet to buying term papers to finding the teacher’s manuals and answer keys, the Internet has been more of a disaster than an aid in education. The mania that “every student must have a computer and Internet access” is one of the most idiotic trends I have witnessed in my career.
Allow me to offer the curmudgeonly observation that the most creative people in American History – from Thomas Jefferson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Abraham Lincoln, Edgar Allan Poe, Thomas Edison, Charles Ives, The Wright Brothers, S. J. Perelman, Flannery O’Connor, Homer Hickam, and many many others, produced original ideas, inventions, stories, movies, and accomplished near miracles in all fields of endeavor without the Internet or computers!
The lack of logical thinking seen in the electorate today is directly the result of the elimination of that kind of teaching and the elimination of classic books through which students can learn to think logically. Many teachers have given up trying to get children and teenagers and college students to read anything.
“The Internet has ruined reading skills: they all skim, they don’t read anything in depth, they don’t stop and think about what they do read, because it’s scroll scroll scroll and click click click.”
When education eliminates Plato, Aristotle, Nicholas of Cusa, Giordano Bruno, John Locke, Etienne de la Boetie, Michel Montaigne, John Locke, Edmund Burke, Frederic Bastiat, Ludwig von Mises, Albert Nock, Gertrude Himmelfarb, and so many others, and replaces them with mediocrities and morons e.g. Marx, Nietzsche, Adorno, Derrida, Marcuse, etc., not to mention the replacement of Shakespeare, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Dickens, etc. etc. etc. with “pop, best-seller novels” or, even worse, “Time Magazine” and “Time Magazine for Kids,” we will reap that whirlwind of nihilism for many years.
Next, never have we ever seen so many students with “disabilities” in our schools. 5 decades ago, I had some terrible students at an Ohio public, rural high school near the Indiana border. I had basically illiterate Sophomores in American History, who had been pushed through every year. (The county school board was quite corrupt.) Their problems came not from their brains, but from their incompetent families. At the same time, I had some very good students in my Latin classes.
The percentage of terrible students was low.
Having a low percentage of terrible students was typical for some years. This began to change c. 30 years ago, and since then the rise in the percentage of terrible students has been constant. Incompetent parenting is still the main cause, except now the parents are insisting that psychologists/psychiatrists find some sort of label for their lazy and undisciplined children.
An example:
“I don’t have to have clear cursive handwriting because I have an IEP (Individual Education Plan, i.e. an excuse-form).” Is the child’s hand deformed? No. Are his eyes bad? No. Is there brain damage? No.
In such cases I have personally proven that, under duress (i.e. I stand over them and insist that they try) the child can indeed produce clear, beautiful cursive handwriting, a skill proven to be necessary for reading speed and comprehension!
And what about that “I.E.P.” claiming the child cannot write long-hand/cursive?
In some cases I have literally been told to “stand down,” and to stop “forcing” the child to attain a necessary skill, which he has proven that he can in fact attain!
To be sure, we have a good number of kids with psychological problems (depression, self-abuse (i.e. slashing their arms and legs, suicide attempts (Sic!), paranoia (Sic!), more than I have ever seen! And this is a Catholic grade school!
I will not bother speculating on the myriad of reasons for this rise in the percentage of students with problems, except to offer the suspicion that among those reasons one will find that having both parents working 50+ hours per week, coupled with their inability to protect their children from the worst aspects of low-class American “kulcher” (I can verify to you that 4th Graders have seen many R-rated movies and know about filthy rap songs and the idiots who chant them), is undoubtedly involved in producing nervous, stuttering, incompetent children, whose contribution to America’s future may be minimal to negative, unless they find a way out of their labyrinth of problems later in life.
However…
Fifty years ago, I had some very good students, who more than counterbalanced those illiterate ones. Today, I have the same situation….
…with the concerning observation that the percentage of future incompetents is higher than ever: right now we have 40% of our students claiming some sort of problem.
In my 6th Grade classes, it is nearly 50%. From what I can tell, old-fashioned discipline early in childhood is gone. The child now tells the parent what he wants to do, the 5-year old child now debates with his parents about what he will do…and he wins the debates!
A psychologist is later called in to offer a diagnosis in the 7th Grade of an “oppositional child” and to write a list of “accommodations” to deal with him.
Civilization has never needed a large majority of competent people in order to progress, but it needed at least a well-organized, vigorous, and assiduous minority to push society forward. But at some point that will cease, because the competent minority tires of dragging the unproductive, deleterious majority into the future.
We shall see where these trends go: will a renewal of America be catalyzed by the impending disasters offered and imposed by the Biden Regime? I am hoping that more Americans will awaken to the problems in their own families, in the neighborhoods, in the schools, and will act against those trends!
Eliminating the influence of present-day “popular kulcher” will be a big first step. READING great books carefuly and thinking about them, discussing them, will be another necessary step. Experiencing the greatest music (Beethoven, Schumann, Bruckner, Mahler, Scriabin, Charles Ives, and so many others) and artists is also essential. The Internet does indeed offer windows into the greatest of artistic achievements, and can be of use here.
In conclusion, I am trying to be optimistic, and look for signs of hope: a 5th Grade boy, after I recommended a Newberry Award Book from the 1920’s called The Trumpeter of Krakow by Eric Kelly, told me that he was reading it and enjoying it greatly.
That was a sprouting flower for the future!
Ausonius, thanks for sharing your experiences… and it makes me sad to know that the teaching profession will lose someone of your caliber. As you just laid out, we don’t make them like you anymore.
Thanks for all you’ve done to steer young minds in the right direction and to instill critical thinking. Thank Mrs. Ausonius for me as well!
Like you, I can already see the results of what you describe in my workplace. On a team of almost ten, only one or two will take on responsibility and think big picture. Most folks are dependent and/or lazy, with no signs of motivation or even the ability to learn from experience.
My sons (in their late 30’s, one a V-P at a world-class bank, and the other a computer/mathematics whiz) have seen the same thing in their positions, the latter has left jobs paying $200,000 per year because of too many incompetent people above and below him.
And today we’re at a place where the president of the USA probably would have difficulty reading and understanding The Cat in the Hat and adding 3 + 6 + 2. Anyone who supports the biden crime administration is really an enemy of America. We should be seeing every Republican politician raising holy hell about the stolen election and instead they are complicit.
Regarding teams where only one or two take on responsibility . . . .
When I taught math to 6th and 7th graders, it was mandatory that I incorporate group activities, meaning 4-6 desks pushed together with students facing each other (oh yeah, that will help concentration), and lessons based on “activities” wherein students would learn math.
It never failed that each group would have one or two students who did all the work and the rest daydreamed, played or worked on disrupting. I did have one conscientious parent who complained about group work, that her daughter was tired of carrying the load.
Learning math takes concentrated, individual effort involving logic and practice, all frowned upon by those who must be obeyed. Everything is “hands-on learning,” which, without disciplined minds, turns into playtime.
I can only think of one invention, work of art, or business idea that has propelled civilization forward, that was the work of a group: the U.S. Constitution. That was a miracle which must not be lost.
Classrooms will not exist in 4 months.
At some point Biden must force a confrontation that justifies the death of a deplorable, and starts the collection of them for national security.
My advice do the inventory of like minded people.
I’d suggest cth meet up local, but that might look like something wrong to do. I Dunno .
U just need 30 people that would put effort out to yell ” hey stop that, u leave him alone”…
Excellent expose’ on our current dismal situation of education in America. I was looking around a while back on the web and found some old final tests from 8th grade (1920) that you needed to pass to go on into high school. I think I scored somewhere around 65/100 and I graduated in 1971. I really doubt many recent college graduates could pass it today.
Have you ever perused the McGuffey Readers from the 19th century and seen what was expected of 7th and 8th Graders back then?
It is amazing, and then appalling, when compared to what one finds today in our junior-high anthologies.
Yes, I have seen McGuffey’s before. It is like night and day from then and now. I don’t think I could teach in today’s environment and probably in up in jail. The last time I got the paddle was in 1970 by my football coach because of my smart mouth. I learned a lot that day
I have a set of those as well as the Ray set of arithmetic that was given to us by my older brother 20 years ago when the children were little…you are spot on with your conclusion….
Our educational system has been dumbing down schoolchildren for decades….parents have been pushed out of the public school classrooms and renderd powerless against the school administrators and teachers union.
Incompetent teachers are retained and good teachers are retiring…
That was my personal experience during 1995-2014….I am a fighter and I never cared who I pissed off….but there were many parents who felt immobilized and simply wrung their hands….
Moreover, I attended my 40th H.S. reunion and was given a tour around my H.S. …all of the library books are gone…I mean all…simply computers…and this was a major book filled library when I attended in the 70s. Needless to say, seeing that empty library broke my heart….what parent would allow that to happen???!!!
Anyway, thank you for sharing, Ausonious……..I am certain that there is an army of parents who passionately support you and your wife….
Appalling news about the library, but the Technomaniacs are everywhere!
They must be countered at every turn!
Thank you for sharing with us your experiences and insight.
I actually would be interested and curious to learn what you think may be “the myriad of reasons for this rise in the percentage of students with problems”.
Top 3 or so?
No theory too outrageous!
Allow me to refer you to an excellent analysis of the effects of technology on our society: The Disappearance of Childhood by Neil Postman.
One of his main themes was that modern technology has destroyed the idea of childhood created in the 19th-century, i.e. childhood depended upon a child NOT having access to “adult information,” e.g. sexual knowledge, knowledge about horrible crimes, the violence of society.
As soon as a child knows about such things, you have a child no longer: you have a 7-year old adult, which is what children were in the Middle Ages and early modern times.
Postman pointed out that the average length of an image on television is 2 seconds. When you plop a toddler or Kindergartener for hours in front of that screen – or today, a phone or computer – you are conditioning the child NOT to pay attention.
Because why should the child pay attention to something which will disappear in a second or two?
So when one wonders why “Attention Deficit Disorder” is now so widespread, the ubiquity of T.V. screens everywhere might be a reason for that!
His book is 40 years old, and is more salient perhaps than ever before.
Helicopter-parenting – a guilty reaction to the 50-hour work week – is another factor: children are not left alone on the playgrounds to organize their own world without aid from adults. My childhood rarely involved adults: we rode our bikes alone everywhere at age 9 or 10 to visit other parts of town, organized our own baseball and football games, played Cowboys and Indians or re-fought World War II or the Civil War or The Revolutionary War or World War III against the Russians throughout the neighborhood, jumping over fences, hiding in bushes, burrowing into snow drifts, and NO ADULTS WERE INVOLVED!!!
My students have watched the movie The Sandlot which describes a childhood similar to mine in the post-WW II era. They love the movie, but look at it as if they are watching another planet’s life.
Everything the boys do in that movie is basically impossible today!
Time’s up: I hope that explains some of the “myriad.” 🙂
BTW, I have two kids. And aside from one teacher, their English teachers have been train wrecks. As you point out, the students don’t even read the classics anymore. In fact, reading doesn’t seem to be a major requirement for high school and middle school English classes.
Ausonius, thank you for your comments, I agree 100%! The public schools in our area are supposed to be good, but in my opinion are not great. We were able to send our daughter to a private Christian school that teaches a classical education. The school requires the kids to take Latin all the way through 9th grade, it is a K-12 school and requires the kids to read as many of the classic books as possible, along with a great emphasis on math and history. She is now in college getting straight A’s and studying to be a nurse. We are so thankful that we were able to afford to send her to a school where she was able to receive an excellent education. It truly saddens me to see what is being taught in the public schools today.
Again….spot on.
I would also suggest that this ridiculous fixation parents have on Sesame Street as a learning tool likewise impacts the children even earlier than technology….its cadence and content and language use is not helpful at all IMHO….and never ever allowed to watch that Show or anything on Nickolodean….
If one of your students go from being non disabled to disabled, aren’t the parents entitled to financial assistance? I was married to a RN who firmly believed that all problems with your child’s behaviour could be corrected with a drug. What better way to is there to make a child unseen and unheard than to drug them into a stupor?
You’re killin’ me, Smalls!
I love that movie and while my childhood was in the seventies, a lot of that still held true. We were outside all day and called in at supper time. We built forts/clubhouses out in the woods (caught a lot of hell for taking Dad’s tools), rode bikes from one side of town to the other, came up with ideas to generate money (collecting bottles, mowing yards)… just like you said, not much in the way of supervision.
I will have to check out Postman’s book. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Postman’s analysis of the ridiculousness of T.V. “news” in that book is still valid today.
My wife is a retired school teacher. She has been involved with teaching; 8th Grade Biology at a Catholic School, soldiers in 1970’s-80’s BSEP for soldiers (when I was in the Army), German citizens at the German equivalent of adult community college continuing education, 1st Grade at the Turkish-American day school in Ankara, Turkey and 6th Science at Public School.
Your message echo’s her opinion as well as the opinions of her friends, who still teach and have retired. Great comment.
Thank you.
This was a great piece! Thanks.
I have one more thing to add and this is for the college aged people. I am sorry as I know many here will disagree, but I believe in the liberal arts education. Today we are supposed to go to college in order to be trained for a job. When I went to college I went to learn how to think critically, to read and become familiar with great thinkers, to be introduced to different beliefs and ideas…getting a job was not my main priority.
I went to a state university, it was really inexpensive to attend if you were a resident of that state and I really believe I received an outstanding education. Our teachers did not force their beliefs down our throats. I had some tremendous professors and some average ones; I did not have one horrible professor.
I firmly believe that if you want to learn, no matter if grade school, high school, or college there will be at least one teacher who will be there to help you. There was one professor in college who really liked me supported me and was overall a friend a mentor and teacher. This man remains forever in my memory.
Ausonius, it sounds like you are one of those teachers who has made a mark on many students. Bless you in your retirement. A job well done.
You are quite welcome!
My experience in a university was similar: it was not Harvard but my professors in Classics and History were most excellent…and the library was amazing! Much of my education took place there on my own!
I have tried to emulate my best teachers from grade school and beyond, synthesize them into one package, and place my own ideas and techniques upon it.
Not me, I wanted that two year AA so I could get to work! The sooner we get people out of these “brainwash” factories and into the real world where they pay taxes and see how government affects just about every aspect of their lives the better!
That said, I’m not a deep thinker. I have a very short attention span, that’s why I’m here, to learn from you guys! I will say that even one good teacher asking you the right questions will inspire critical thinking.
I agree. I retired after 35 years of college teaching. I always told my student to question everything, including me, and that they were there to learn not just the subject matter but to think critically.
Thanks to both of you for this thread.
Little flower hits a point I have been talking about for some time.
There is a huge difference between learning and developing knowledge. Learning is simply internalizing what someone else tells you.
Finding knowledge is taking it a step further and testing what you learned to better understand it and determine if it is true and then being able to explain what you know.
Critical thinking seems like a dead concept in education today. It appears children are learning to pass an exam and much of that learning turns into indoctrination.
A huge problem is people have been conditioned to not read more than a few paragraphs now. You see it everywhere. Online newspaper “articles” are often only a few paragraphs now.
“That’s too long to read!”
I have to admit that I even have fallen victim to this. Sometimes I pass by long posts (such as your own). I didn’t used to be like that.
I think we as a society will come to regret mobile devices and receiving info in only snippets. Destroys minds.
I agree Eric… it’s the microwave mentality, right? It’s like everyone suffers from attention deficit disorder.
““That’s too long to read!”
I have to admit that I even have fallen victim to this. Sometimes I pass by long posts (such as your own). I didn’t used to be like that.
I think we as a society will come to regret mobile devices and receiving info in only snippets. Destroys minds. “
Amen! The example of parents constantly flipping through their mobile phones is one of the worst!
Ausonius: Thanks for your wonderful comments. Remember the RIF (“Reading is Fundamental”) public service campaign? Ah, the good old days. The only time I stop reading is to eat and sleep. Yes, there’s reading material in our bathrooms. Also, crossword puzzles.
Be careful! Elvis died sitting on his throne reading a book about the Shroud of Turin. At least his mind was in a good place when he left us.
I can’t tell you the number of times I heard the same complaint, “too long to read” or “too long and takes up too much of time”, in my professional life at work from my superiors, peers and even subordinates. The number of “processes”, form briefs, just give me a summary et al demands that in the end greatly limited vision of the big picture and inter relationships, which greatly increased probably of realized risk later be a major surprise.
I took many a beating as a Chief Engineer, Director, Troubleshooter and Sage Reviewer during summary briefs for having to voice higher risks without being able to show any details. Then be recalled to run the RED teams fixing the same realized risks I predicted because the leadership choose summarized solutions of others showing the easy solution without the risks I predicted.
Is it that untrained minds get tired easily?
No, they are ‘trained” to follow the easiest path to the best bottom line, ignoring ALL else along the way.
Boeing Supermax Airliner software issues and testing
Failed and failing businesses due to bad management
Crappy products on the shelf
All provided by following the best bottom line while ignoring the details along the path.
A great example of reaping this whirlwind of no responsibility and mediocrity masquerading as superiority.
It’s not just the length but also the simplicity of most of what is written today. Not long ago we found a company newsletter from the 1960’s with an article about my father. I was amazed at the complex syntax and the variety of vocabulary used. I would guess many of today’s high school students would not be able to understand that article without constant use of a dictionary. And there was nothing technical.
Ausonius- many, many thanks for your incredible post which has verified my worst fears about the education of my grandchildren. I am going to copy this and send it to come other concerned friends.
Another thing- children’s brains are actually being transformed by screen addiction. They have the attention span of a flea, can’t concentrate and even do simple tasks.
That being said, I love your message of hope and what you said about literature, music and art. I couldn’t agree more.
I hope that many people read what your wrote- one of the best commentaries I’ve seen here. Bravo!
Agree! Ausonius and his posts always add to my day and provide me with great food for thought!
I grateful and humbled by your kind comments!
I always hope to interest the readers here, no matter the topic!
Greetings Seneca the Elder!
“…children’s brains are actually being transformed by screen addiction.”
Yes, I believe some recent and disturbing neurological research shows exactly that!
e.g.

Many thanks again for your kind comments!
Not just kids unfortunately.
Thank you for your work in educating the youth. I’m in my 40s, but I fondly recall the Great Gatsby, Lord of the Flies, and Brave New World. These books were WARNINGS about the future, yet popular culture has distorted their meaning. The Lottery somehow became Hunger Games where we root for our player to win. We adore entertainers and the waste money on parties and fake social media “friends”, many of whom would gladly send US to a re-education camp given the chance, blind to their own echo chambers and propaganda. Ready Player One is a book about overdosing on pop culture without context, so we make a movie out of it and fill it with MORE pop references. I can only fix my family, and I pray there are enough others out there that will keep the candles burning, lest it turns into Fahrenheit 451.
On a side note, my son is a high functioning autistic (that label didn’t exist for me, just “late talker”). His public school has eliminated cursive, but the OT teacher reintroduced it for fine motor control. And it has worked wonders, to the point that he ONLY writes cursive on his assignments. My “remote” kindergarten daughter on the other hand has figured out how to use Siri to voice-to-text her tablet assignments, so we have to be careful her writing skills don’t regress.
Thank you for that post. And thank you to you and your wife for caring enough for our future to insist on structure and skills in the classroom.
Yes, old fashioned discipline in the early years is gone. People will insist their dogs be housebroken and walk calmly on a leash while their children run wild and break the furniture.
Thank you and to all for the above comments: such a reaction is always heartening!
Ausonius,
Thank you for your years of service to our children, and for taking a stand against the ‘powers that be’ for the benefit of the children. I’m a grandmother now, but I fought the school board many times when my kids were in school, with very little support from other parents, sadly.
I have been accumulating some older history books, stories, novels and mythology (before they disappear) to allow my elementary age grandsons to have exposure across the spectrum. Thank you for your book recommendation at the end of your post. I will be looking for it, and any others you may think of and be willing to share to add to my library for them.
We need to take it upon ourselves to help educate our young people since the current school systems are failing so miserably. They truly are the future of our country and we need to give them the necessary tools!
God Bless and enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
Let me recommend the history books by Victor Davis Hanson.
For younger readers, Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes may get them interested in The Revolutionary War and early America.
An unusual book about childhood – funny and mysterious – came out about 25 years ago from the pen of a German author, Patrick Suskind: the title is translated both as Mr. Summers’ Story or The Story of Mr. Summers.
The German edition had this comment: “A story about childhood, but not necessarily for children.” My advanced German students read it, when I was teaching high-school German.
Thank you Ausonius!
I used to read to my children every night up through 5th grade, and the stories enkindled in both of them a love of reading, especially in my son. It was a way to escape into adventures and new places…
I remember my 5th grade teacher reading to us from the Boxcar Children series, by Gertrude Chandler Warner. It was our ‘treat’ for the last 20 minutes every day before lunch break. She told us if anyone ‘acted up’ during class…there would be NO reading from the book. Needless to say, the story had our imaginations churning and thus, NO one dared act up for fear of reprisals from the other students. lol A different time I guess…..
I remember Mrs. Todd, my 6th grade teacher. Once a week on Friday if we had been good all week, she would let our class play dictionary, which I LOVED! She would pick a student to be first. The student would open the dictionary, find a random word and only read the definition out loud to the class. We students would have to guess the word. The winner was handed the dictionary and allowed to pick a new definition for a different word to read out loud for us to guess.
I loved that game. And it taught us how to use the dictionary which became a lifelong habit of mine.
veritas 22,
In addition to all the amazing info and suggestions here The Well-Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer and Jessie Wise is an excellent resource book. When we were homeschooling I used this book as an outline for planning. Many of the books we used were found in antique stores and library shops as well as estate sales. Now that our children are adults I will say this is probably the best choice we ever made regarding our children’s education.
You are making the mistake of thinking they are trying to educate, rather than dumb down and indoctrinate. I’d say the ZOOM school is a huge success.
I suffered and hated the 3rd and 4th Quarters last year, which were all ZOOM meetings!
Frustrating beyond belief, and the students are still – we started the school year back in school and have real classes, albeit in different kinds of rooms for “social distancing” (a joke!) – trying to catch up!
My junior high school had an inscription over the front door, from Daniel Webster: “The intelligence of the people is the security of the nation.” A spot-on summary of our current crisis, 200 years later. Thank you for the outsized work you have done to counter the problem, Ausonius.
Thank you, Ausonius, for this post! Your retirement is a great loss for the students that will no longer have the opportunity for the kind of once-in-a-lifetime teacher like you!!
Here in Miami-Dade county, the schools are now trying to get the students who are currently choosing to remain online, BACK into the school, to join the others who are already there (my daughter is doing in-person school). The reason they are citing is the poor academic performance that is now showing up!
Sheesh!!! Ya think?????? ??♀️ ??♀️ ??♀️
Ausonius, I too loved your post. If I had the ability to do over again, I would certainly change the habits I had when in high school. And I was a ’79 graduate. Never went to college, went directly into the family business. How I wish that I had taken the opportunities to learn back then! I did however carry on my love of music from those days. I played many instruments, some well, so at least I keep that close even today.
Poor academic performance after months of on-line “learning” !!!
Shocking, indeed! 🙂
Dear Sir or Madam:
Your letter rings true! I am a psychologist in a large urban school district and see this first hand; the lack of standards, group versus independent reading, inability to complete basic math or write in cursive. Standards are incredibly low as if they want children to be inept and unthinking. And this was BEFORE online learning which is a horror. I am looking at retirement in about three years and contemplate writing about some of this. Have you considered that?
I might welcome staying in touch via email.
Greetings!
I have not mentioned it, but I do write novels and poems, few of which have ever been published.
An expose’ of sorts of our situation today has its attractions. 😉
Concerning our literary world today, it seems that one must have “connections” among the East Coast elite to get anything past the secretary.
One agent 40 years ago said that my book was “highly original with an unusual style…
… which is why no publisher will ever publish it!” 😉
Try this:

….you are the real hero in my book. Thank you from the depths of my heart. God’s Grace shines on you.
You are most welcome! Many thanks for the blessing!
Thanks, Ausonius! You are spot on. Ever watch a Zoom Kindergarten class? What a total joke! If we were to set up a system that ruined the next generation, we would see that it looked just like ‘education’ today. And many of the blithering idiot parents ‘Oooh’ and ‘Aaah’ about how wonderfully well it works. NOT! Talk to a teacher today about scope and sequence or child development and all you get is a blank stare. So sad.
Oh yes! You should the horror stories from my colleagues in the K-3 grades about kids doing cartwheels and somersaults during a “ZOOM class”!
“Total joke” is quite correct!
What a wonderful piece of cultural observation Ausonius. Having worked in the field of education myself for many years, I totally agree with everything you described. The children are not being asked to be their best selves and not being given the tools to do that by the education system and especially by their parents. The wonderful learning experiences that are being lost are heart breaking to see.
Thank you so much for this sobering, but true reminder, of what we are losing and maybe a glimmer of hope for the future,
In the third grade we could not go out for recess if you could not do the TIMES TABLE in five minutes.
I still remember my friends playing marbles while I was inside working on my times tables.
Everybody learned the times table in Catholic grade school.
NO excuse….
Amen!
Let me say that if such were the situation at my Catholic grade school right now, a good number of parents would be protesting to the principal….
…and he would surrender to them!
The mental health issues from being isolated with digital education is staggering. Last year a youngster committed suicide while on his zoom class.
I used to think my parents lived in the “good ole days”. Now I think I did.
As mentioned above, we have seen an increase also in psychological problems in the last year.
A Kindergarten girl (!) was caught twice clogging up the sinks and letting them overflow in the Girls’ Bathroom.
Talk about a cry for attention!
“cursive handwriting, a skill proven to be necessary for reading speed and comprehension!”
I heard recently (because I know people in Arizona) that cursive handwriting was not taught in AZ. A Chicago pastor wrote an passage in a bible for a gift to his grandchildren. They asked grandma to read it to them. At first she had thought that was because grandpa did not have the best handwriting. However, it was because the grandchildren were never taught cursive writing.
Found in the bin…. 🙁
An entire state not teaching a basic skill! I suspect Arizona is not the only one which dropped Handwriting to save money or because it was an old-fashioned discipline…and therefore must be no good by definition!
I have a letter written during the Civil War by an ancestor who finished the Sixth Grade in the 1850’s..and went no farther in his schooling.
The handwriting is florid, beautiful, and the grammar and spelling and especially the writing style are excellent.
This was the work of an Ohio farm boy: my current 8th Graders would not be able to equal his vocabulary and eloquent style. In one sense, it is not their fault, but that of our entire society’s right now.
This article talks about the decline of our culture since WWI and even mentions John Adams fear that” republican governments are always in danger of domination from the elites and America would be no different.” How smart and prophetic these early founders of our country were.
The end times are near when the flagrant steal of an election of a popular President ihappens in plain sight.
President Trump resonates with people because he is a positive force against the decline of our culture. He is a builder, a doer, the ultimate reality against the cancel culture that hates our society and the apathetic western world that thinks acceptance of rot is a virtue like tolerance.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/01/are_the_end_times_near_.html?utm_source=vuukle&utm_medium=newsfeed
There is a misunderstanding by many well meaning people of the term “culture” in this context as they immediately jump to the racial, which is the mistake exploited by the current forces eating at the core of the foundation of the Republic. Those attacking the concepts that form the Republic immediately jump to the “racial negatives” of that common perception.
The real attack is on the foundation of society and social contract of “free will”, moral context set by the Judaeo-Christian ethic and the notion government is not there to guarantee anything but a safe environment for each to make their own future. These concepts present way too unknown variables and risk to the power of the Elites. That was the purpose behind the Separation of Powers the Founding Fathers built into the triangular government defined in the Constitution, as they gambled at least 2 of 3 Branches could remain unfettered to control the third. Over the past 30 years, ALL 3-Branches have been corrupted simultaneously by the Elite, which is the situation that has to be undone.
Good post. I’ve seen more than a few presstitutes and big thinkers talking about us like we’re some kind of mice, following a pied piper. I think it makes them feel better to label us a brainwashed cult but it’s more an effort to diminish the movement, methinks.
They just don’t get it.
What you have described is what will work to our advantage!
Because they think we are a “Trump Hive Mind” group, they will not comprehend us getting behind someone else who might stand up and lead us in a direction harmonious to what Trump is publicly doing.
They cannot defend against what they do not understand.
This is the core of the reason President Trump was elected by a plurality. He did not belong to either party nor even subscribed to left or right philosophical labels. He governed to provide the better options to benefit the core values of the environment that allowed people to choose.
The Republican Party was chosen as the vehicle as the basic values of that party (not its members) aligned best with the core values of the President. He knew there were issues with its members, his weakness was in believing he was going to govern with a system that still valued “compromise”, which is the core of tenant of the businesses where Donald Trump participated. Donald Trump entered a system that had been corrupted levels not even could imagine.
Pass this on to Rand Paul. He called us President Trump’s “fans.”
I have had issues with Rand -and when he voted to certify the fraud – done with him. He is all smoke and mirrors – and without any testicular fortitude when the SHTF.
Excellent post.
Let’s go back to the beginning of this great nation.. what happened.. we had great leaders..
Adams, Jefferson, Hancock, Monroe..
right now IMHO we are forming the second comming..
We have President Trump, Nunez, Noem, DeSantis.. and other MAGA people..we are building our new leaders.. it is time for all of us to be united and be just like the original continental army.
Gen Washington had to deal with traitors, Benedict Arnolds ..it’s the same today… we will need to cross the Delaware in the cold at night..but the fight will be won.. I can smell the desperation.. I can see the desperation… razor wire arround the capital.. THE UNIPARTY’S LAST REFUGE..
It is Nunes and not “Nunez”.
Trump made changes that we have been asking for, for decades. He is one of tens of millions of us, but he is the one with the most courage and ability.
Conservatives Must Now Draw A Line In The Sand And Stop The “Great Reset”
The last four years plus the election of 2020 have revealed that political solutions are out the window…
Biden himself is not all that important; he is nothing more than a foil for bigger events and a proxy for more nefarious people. His presence signals that the “Great Reset” agenda is fully greenlit. This agenda has a pretty obvious set of goals, many of them openly admitted to by the World Economic Forum, and some of them strongly implied by the extreme political left and the media. They include:
1) Perpetual pandemic lockdowns and economic controls until the population submits to medical tyranny.
2) Medical passports and contact tracing as a part of everyday life.
3) The censorship and de-platforming of all voices that oppose the agenda.
4) Greatly reduced economic activity in the name of stopping “climate change”.
5) Greatly increased poverty and the loss of private property.
6) The introduction of “Universal Basic Income” in which the government becomes the all-powerful welfare provider and nursemaid for a generation of dependent and desperate people.
7) A cashless society and digital currency system where privacy in trade is completely erased.
8) creation of a “shared economy” in which no one will own anything and independent production is outlawed.
9) The deletion of national borders and the end of sovereignty and self-determination.
10) The centralization of global political power into the hands of a select few elitists.

Very good article, Joe. Thanks. Just sent it to a bunch of folks.
FTA:
Biden may also be a wake up call for any moderate democrats out there who thought that by voting for a hair-sniffing corporate puppet they might put an end to the division and civil unrest in the nation. I think they will discover that Joe will attract even MORE civil unrest. He may even trigger more looting and rioting by Antifa and BLM during his administration than Trump did, by the simple fact these insane people will assume that Biden will be malleable and easier to exploit.
This has already started, and we’re not even in February yet. Prediction: MAJOR Buyer’s Remorse is going to kick in WELL BEFORE the end of 2021.
I have no words for this type of lunacy.

Task force eliminates use of gang database because of complaints it contains too many minorities
Excerpt:
“A Virginia gang task force serving agencies in 12 jurisdictions across the Washington, D.C., region has dropped the use of a popular database that catalogs alleged gang members after activists complained that minorities are disproportionately represented.”
https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/task-force-ends-use-of-gang-database-because-it-lists-too-many-minorities/
Any wonder why society is disintegrating. This in part of the plan, these actions are deliberate to destroy the country. It is not lunatic, the ‘activists’ know exactly what they are doing. The problem is mass numbers of people afraid to speak up because they have been intimidated by violence or the racist label attacks which will nullify their ability to be economically viable.
This all aligns with the Obama DoJ and now the present DoJ advocating “statistical” racism, with no context as a standard. In other words, never mind that the majority of gangs are composed of minorities or that the home areas of gangs have very few “Whites” living there. The “statistics” say all the gangs listed from these areas are Minorities, so the statistics say the data bases are racist.
We are headed back to the statistical racism days, when cities and school districts will be forced to bid for IMPORTED minorities to live free in those municipalities with the wrong statistics. Heaven help the municipality after they IMPORT the right numbers if they report directly correlated negative results.
Yes, insanity.
“12 jurisdictions across the DC region”. Perfect keep them there. There is plenty of prey for them to visit in a 50-60 mile radius of DC. I hope they get it in spades.
White supremacist terminology targets a specific race for profiling and is injustice, feeling hurt etc bullshit. So stop it FBI and be inclusive
Troublemaker10: This is why “artificial intelligence” will fail in all but the most objective settings (manufacturing lines, for example, where uniformity and reproducibility are desireable). Because the believers will need constantly to “tweak” the algorithms to avoid the revelation of simple truths.
Now that AI comment is funny and thinking outside the box. I guess AI is basically Spock in Star Trek and it can’t think illogically. And i guess the acceptable PC standards change too quickly for even AI algorithms to keep up 🙂
Their sheer stupidity puts all law enforcement and citizens in GRAVE DANGER.
A good number of DC law enforcement and citizens very much need a gut check of reality. I’m done being concerned for them. They vote for it. They chose poorly. Let them figure it out.
Anyone else who has seen the movie Idiocracy becoming more concerned by the day?
Yup – I think often of how spot on is that movie – and how eerily it portrays where we are presently.
Learning From History
Most people don’t learn the lessons of history, and that is dangerous. But even more dangerous are the people who do learn the lessons – and use it as the playbook for a repeat performance.
People using this playbook and statistical racism card are backed by the Federal Government that withholds funds as well as State AG’s and US DoJ that will prosecute or join suits.
I just wanted to post a comment my sister made yesterday and see what anyone here thought about it. She said that we see all these ads about non-GMO foods and we see food labeled as non-GMO, genetically modified organism, and even seed companies sell seeds that aren’t genetically modified. So, what else would you call it when someone takes one of these mRNA “vaccines” for Covid-19 but a genetically modifying shot? Isn’t anyone who gets one of these shots becoming a genetically modified organism?
Not to belabor the point..
In China and in North Korea they are playing the gene game with human embryos.
They are buying all the DNA data.. where do you think all that will be useful..
Like a lady said the other day.. I’m glad I’m old and lived when I did..
AMEN
Are they buying DNA data from the ancestry.com? What sort of things could they use that data for?
I’m so glad I never signed up with Ancestry.com or any other DNA testing sites.
Targeted infections
The first inheritable gene altered (DNA) humans (they do not specify how many) were born in China in 2018. It’s all there available from the WEF’s web releases. Seen it with me own eyes.
That is just terrifying. Gattaca territory….
These Covid tests are DNA swabs being sent to China and your state/local police Departments. Names addresses and contacts are included with the DNA sample. Now maybe this information goes to your nearest Confucius Institute and then is passed on to the CCP but the results are the same.
A: Yes–but they plan to put warning labels on them.
“Now you’ve made yourself into a genetically modified organism, and so the immune system that is meant to push the viruses or bacteria out… now the autoimmune reaction is attacking your body low grade.” From this article;
https://citizenfreepress.com/breaking/professor-of-molecular-genetics-issues-chilling-warning-on-covid-mrna-vaccines/
Exactly.
I’ ve been particularly concerned about the long term autoimmune effects.
There is already preliminary documentation that after being vaccinated the immune system, if exposed to covid, may over react and set off a devastating attack on all organs.
I am not an antivaxer, but modifying the genetic structure of my cells to possibly prevent a disease that may cause serious illness or death in a small segment of the population seems like a bad bet.
It is called a vaccine but Moderna or Pfizer filed a SEC as publicly traded companies calling their product “experimental gene therapy”.
I mentioned this GMO-food aversion to a young neighbor who is a Doctor, a mother with a 15th month old son, and very happy to get the 1st Moderna Shot. When I compared the gene therapy shot to GMO food, she said it is not an experimental gene therapy but a ‘vaccine’. She is being lied to also but hasn’t mentioned getting the #2 shot. I cannot understand why everyone falls for the Media/government lies as the Gospel Truth.
I woke up this morning thinking about the GameStop Phenomenon this week, and sensing the possibility that we are seeing not just little guys fleecing short-selling, smart-money Wall Street hedge funds, but maybe a battle between the “rebel alliance” and the “sinister force” the Senate Judiciary Committee charged Patrick Byrne with exposing – an alliance among global financial institutions, globalist political establishment, and Marxism, especially the Chinese Communist Party. Patrick received that charge for having defeated the same short-selling hedge funds in the early 2000s, who had colluded to target his company Overstock.com, got “sell Overstock” media stories planted, and engaged in all manner of illegal activity, “unnoticed” by Securities Regulators. Byrne put the case together for the regulators and Justice Department.
More recently, Elon Musk defeated the same collusion of hedge funds betting on the fall of the market cap of Tesla, with the same kind of small trader buying to generate a “short squeeze.” For those who don’t understand, a short seller may borrow shares for a time (for a small fee to the owner arranged by large brokerages who have custody of their customers’ shares), and sells them, betting that he can buy them back cheaper before he is obligated to return them. Or trading derivatives, he can sell calls, giving the buyer the right over a period of time to buy the shares from him at a price higher than market at the time the call is sold. At the same time, the short can use that money to buy puts, the right to force someone else to buy the same shares at a price lower than the then market, but higher than the short believes the price will fall to before the derivatives expire. The pair of derivatives is called a “naked collar.” When George Soros engineered this short selling derivatives strategy in the 80s, he organized a group of short sellers to attack Bank of England bonds. The negative publicity they generated caused a panic selling among unsophisticated people dependent upon those bonds for their pensions, and the shorts “won big.” Such geniuses they were, according to the financial press. Soros became the “Man Who Broke the Bank of England.”
The original “short squeeze,” in my limited experience, involved a small regional brokerage making a market for a thinly traded stock, finding some hapless investor willing to gamble on that stock dropping by selling it short, then manipulating the prices higher so that their target has to cough up everything he owns to cover his short. I only knew about it because I was trying to sell some inherited shares of that stock to pay for law school at the same time, and realized the brokerage had not offered to buy MY shares at the higher than market prices they “squeezed” out of their victim. They weren’t making a market, they were fleecing sheep.
So with Tesla and GameStop, large numbers of retail investors, with the help of guidance from rebels at Reddit, realized that the shorts had sold too many shares, imaginary shares they didn’t actually rent but facilitated by the brokerage (illegal), magnified by the derivatives play blowing up in their faces, so that increases in the market price “squeezed the supposedly smart-money shorts,” who are obligated to return the shares they don’t have, i.e., buy them at whatever price, or else buy shares to cover their calls. Then Robin Hood shut down buying. Only buying, eliminating the little guy from the buying side of the market, while allowing them to sell to the desperate hedge funds buyers. They were obviously working to serve their hedge funds customers, who buy trading data from them. All illegal market manipulation. Also exposing that Robin Hood’s “free” service to day traders, like other tech companies, comes at the cost of it selling all your data to their customers, who use it trying to manipulate you.
Writ large, it looks as if the rebel alliance has figured out how to detect the shorts’ newest targets, watch the number of shares sold short and the number of uncovered calls sold, and then team up to squeeze the big guys. Bleeding billions from the Evil Hedge Funds. Could Patrick Byrne have anything to do with it? At a minimum, he showed that it could be done at Overstock. Zero Hedge is a great resource of more information on this fascinating if arcane human phenomenon.
At the same time, I was reflecting upon some of the Great Reset News out of Davos, complete with their own animated video productions admitting that although they may look like a bunch of elites intending to gain all the resources in the world, that’s not really a bad thing. It just requires “the RIGHT people in the RIGHT places.” I.e, the Socialist model central planning. I heard that there’s another video where the protagonist envisions that “it’s 2030, I own nothing, but I have never been happier.”
This led to reflections on how we let the Marxists define our terms, to our great detriment. The words “capitalist,” or “capital” referring to assets, do not appear in America’s founding documents. Marx made “capital” and “capitalists” the foreign and domestic Great Evil that was the cause of all social injustice. Capitalism is more like biblical Mammon, the worship of money, than the American free market spirit. Our own American values contemplate free but well-regulated markets, as part of liberty and limited government. By that I mean markets as places where multiple buyers and multiple sellers meet to engage in buying in selling, each with good information, and supported by police to protect against theft, robbery and intimidation, courts to enforce contracts, and laws against fraud and cheating. I believe each such trade in such markets is a plus sum outcome. While common currency and a market price may say the trade was zero sum, both parties got what they wanted more than what they gave up. Free markets facilitate economic growth, and individual economic decision making is generally much better and smarter than centrally planned management. This is the path to American style prosperity.
But we’re letting the Globalist/Marxist alliance paint Capitalism as the cause of all the Social Injustice in the world, while it is the fraudsters and cheaters, who buy undue influence over the courts and regulators who created the most economic victims. So I prefer the term: Free Markets to Capitalism.
What I don’t know, however, is whether this GameStop phenomenon is truly a victory for the little guy, or whether it is just part of a planned collapse of the overall grossly over-valued market, kept up through the Pandemic by the Fed printing trillions of dollars and the Government raining it down all over the land. I’ve been anticipating such a collapse for some time, but it hasn’t yet materialized, and continuing to hold seems the best strategy. What worries me is the possibility that the collapse is coming soon, the small traders will lose, the economic fall-out will be blamed on “Capitalism,” and a system of Global State takeover of all assets, along with universal guarantied income, will be rammed through as the only sensible and fair solution, while all opponents are greedy capitalist, racists, and other Deplorable.
Agree with everything, and I’m sitting at 75% probability this is part of a planned collapse. Only some anecdotal evidence, but my gut instinct is telling me it’s a trap.
I view the “Gamestop phenomenon” as a potential avenue of attack identified. The short traders and Hedge Fund moguls, who endorsed and fund the Uni-Party and Puppet Joe, leave a digital trail. Anybody (and/or Group) with access to the trading network, proper credentials, proper computing power/models and line of credit can “track” these slugs to make a buck on their coattails as well as ambush them if they are resistance fighters. Short (pun intended) of limiting “who” is permitted to participate in short trading, this will be a very hard avenue of attack to close.
It is not rocket science. You can bet rules and regulations are being written by the Elites to mitigate this activity and to protect the practices, for their controlled puppets in government to implement.
Regarding the Great Reset, the following two quotes come to mind:
“Economic control is not merely control of a sector of human life which can be separated from the rest; it is the control of the means for all our ends. And whoever has sole control of the means must also determine which ends are to be served, which values are to be rated higher and which lower, in short, what men should believe and strive for.”
– Friedrich Hayek
“If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good?
Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?
– Frédéric Bastiat
Thank you, Doppler! This is the BEST explanation regarding this craziness and how it works I’ve read so far!! ?
You are mostly correct. I expect the market will be driven down at least 50% over the next year. I recommend that every one move all their equity investments to cash or short notes ASAP.
I agree. A free market is not capitalism. Leftist words can go right back up their ________.
Control of language is a key battle in this war over the future of the USA.
A common word I hear over and over every day from Biden and his administration is equity. Not equality, but equity. There is a huge difference and it centers around the concepts of equal opportunity versus equal outcomes.
Equal outcomes require redistribution.
Thank you Doppler!
Yo have fill in some details that I was missing especially about short selling.
”For those who don’t understand, a short seller may borrow shares for a time (for a small fee to the owner arranged by large brokerages who have custody of their customers’ shares), and sells them, betting that he can buy them back cheaper before he is obligated to return them” (Doppler, the conservative treehouse, Jan, 30 2021 at 11:57am)
They actually never let a their own crisis go to waste and use their crisis against the citizenry. These folks have a resilient plans and robust resources. BUT what they lack it TRUTH. Truth is the Lord of Hope. Lack of TRUTH is why they must silence worship of the Lord of Truth and all forms of free speech. Finally they lack love without love of truth they will NOT succeed. So practice the fruits listed below to victory.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Gal. 5:22-23
The lucid organization called ‘ I have the right to die’.
What it stands for is… I will not allow any members parents or them to be stolen by the government to die in isolation from any disease, thing, or anything. I will rally to them when called and nothing will stop me from being there for them, because I want them to be there for me.
We have the right to die’, and should never be forced to live through forced kidnapping and isolation.
i would suggest it is the exact reverse –
i have a right to LIVE, therefore i will not remain in the hospital against my will, as a prisoner of bureaucracy, in forced isolation, with questionable decisions being made on my behalf by unqualified personnel who view me as a source of revenue.
my family/hcpoa/neighbor will take me home.
i agree the issues you bring up need to be addressed.
most unfortunately, i was in this exact position with my most beloved relative.
i was unable to visit, unable to exercise my legal rights as poa/hcpoa, unable to change hospital, unable to intervene when it was still possible, unable to make a full code directive even stick – all because “covid”.
my failures – to change the trajectory; be able to offer comfort; and finally, to be there at time of death – will torture me for the rest of my days.
i am not the only one.
i am just now finally able to speak up about the very personal horror that was inflicted on people that deserved a million times better, and their families.
my sympathies to all who lost loved ones of any age,
but this amounted to genocide of the greatest generation.
and a totalitarian overreach worthy of history’s most evil tyrants.
i’m so sorry for those of an age that never knew the real america.
I’m okay with it being called the Right to Live.
Leftist just are sick and would say we don’t. The right to die confuses them – as they shield their protecting of us with controlling us.
There will be a massive rise addressing all those that died during covid for malpractice.
i predict it will be the revolutionary ACT that starts it all. it wont be angry people about votes or mask… it will be people mad about that…
you will get your peace this year i predict. To many are living with deaths they havent addressed yet – no closure.
you’re a good person to offer comfort, whiteboard.
thank you.
malpractice is a tough legal case to make, with many states providing blanket immunity and protections to nursing homes for anything covid related.
it is literally their get out of jail free card.
Well said.
I submit this is the true reason for the Impeachment Circus, mostly because they have used their Hollywood voices to promote this and the NYAG is promising this:
“Yet on the third hand (as Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof” would say), Article I specifies that a former officer may be subject to normal criminal proceedings, suggesting those are the primary remedies against ex-officers.” Robert Natelson
https://www.theepochtimes.com/does-the-constitution-allow-impeachment-of-an-ex-president_3677374.html
And yet there are distinctions between ex-officers and ex-Presidents.
This article is interesting: https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2021/01/30/cut-constitutional-corners-six-red-state-ags-threaten-to-sue-biden-for-overreaching-and-defying-congress-n319149
I bet the so-called Republican Senators are lining up to support the AG’s. s/

Remember when I said Jen Psaki had a brother involved in this Gamestop fiasco… Well, it’s confirmed officially now. His name is Jeffrey Psaki and he works as a Portfolio Manager at the Citadel Hedge Fund. Jeffrey was also VP of Lehman Brothers during the crash of 2008…
H/T ~anon
Anon Comments:
“The swamp runs deep. First Melissa Hodgman, and now this (see yesterdays posts for Hodgman decode). Jenn Psaki’s brother is Jeff Psaki, who works as Portfolio Manager at Citadel. At a Press Conference, when asked about the stock market and Robinhood/GameStop, Jenn responded and said they would take care of it. With Melissa Hodgman as new Director at the SEC (wife of Peter Strzok), and Jenn’s brother working at Citadel LLC, the picture is a lot clearer on how the swamp operates.”
They are now trying to scrub Jen Psaki’s wiki page, but it’s too late.
This is a live exercise. Never understood that comment
Which comment?
When pompeo said it to POTUS.. during a press conference.. and POTUS said you should of told me.
It just seems covert yet meant to be heard
Whiteboard: “live” as in “live fire,” as in real bullets, not pretend. In other words, things are actually happening, in real time, and anything said or actions taken will have real consequences.
It’s something china related Im sure.
My guess is china held back as long as they thought Congress would take POTUS out.. this gave POTUS the power the bludgeon them and china take it.
I am just not convinced Biden is president now.still delusional I think.
That has been debunked. Jeffrey is not related to Jen per Citadel.
Yeah sure. Somehow I don’t believe them. How many Psaki’s are there?
On Jen’s old wikipage , Jeffrey Psaki, working for Citadel is her brother. Citadel is lying again.
I challenge you all to exercise your group building muscle.
Introduce one person to cth every day… In a store, bar. Where ever.
Next challenge. At a Bar or common place you hang out at often, introduce someone to cth and wait a week… If you get a positive response from them about the site, invite them for a beer or something ( build your community making muscle).
We were isolated by big tech, and stuffed into matrixes. Red pill
If they shun you, you used a no expensive maneuver to know who to decieve or avoid when the power goes out.
Inventory!!!!!! Get inner confidence with building something POTUS can waveeeeeeee to get things without force.
AI and surveillance works both ways…. The data they get that shows they better stand down leads to events like the 2016 Trump win, that they knew to not contest.
Great advice, White Board. Especially about sorting out your contacts. So far, nobody I share with deserves to be purchased a beer. I guess I’m hanging out in the wrong crowd – an “effete corps of impudent snobs.”
U have found a wealth of knowledge of who surrounds you…
Keep trying. One like mind found is forever
The Question of Masks
I envy the reader who can reach the end of Alex Berenson’s Unreported Truths About Covid-19 and Lockdowns: Masks, without tearing her hair out in frustration at the absurdity of the world today, which apparently is not so different from the one that Galileo inhabited four centuries ago.
Berenson makes an airtight case (no pun intended) that there is no evidence whatsoever that surgical and cloth masks work to control coronavirus spread, and a substantial amount that they do not. Nevertheless, as anyone who has tried to discuss the topic in a blue state knows, the subject has been so politicized that to make this contention amounts to heresy.

I was always suspicious of this guy – way before the election.
Our President poorly served by this idiot.
Another Pence.
Another fluster cluck brought to you by the CDC and to be enforced by the TSA.

and wait until these bastards start enforcing it and/or have “karens” report non-compliance.
It has only just begun.
It has only just begun.
Upcoming phase will be to require proof of COVID-vaccination before being allowed on “transportation”. To be accompanied by needing proof to be allowed to work, live in an apt., bank, by food, etc.
The Junta will declare they aren’t “forcing” anyone to take it – it’s still going to be “your choice”. You’ll either get to participate in society or not – all by “your choice”.
We’re now living in a totalitarian country, that will continue to play 1984-euphimistic word-games games with us .
Agree. This horror show continues as they murder our Republic.
State legislatures are about to begin their yearly sessions. Get your communities to email/call your state Reps/Senators and demand that they pass legislation or acts denying the federal government to enforce these powers in your state. Become a “sanctuary” state from federal COVID orders, climate change orders, etc…
Most states have constitutions, too, that mirror the US constitution in civil rights and liberties.
Yes, the program is called the Vaccination Credential Initiative… well on it’s way.
Aggiegirl: More pys-ops to condition and demoralize the masses. Remove one retriction here (e.g., ease restaurant closures), add two more restrictions there. Classic commie tactics.
Did anyone elect the CDC?? We need to bombard them – with negative letters and calls about this. I know it probably won’t do much, but still. It’s GOOD for them to HEAR OUR DISPLEASURE. This agency, just like the WHOLE of DC is CORRUPT TO THE CORE – and anyone paying attention during the whole of the COVID fiasco knows this.
Meanwhile too many people worship at the CDC’s and the evil midget’s feet – can anyone understand this, because I surely cannot.
To Secede (or) Not to Secede
“It is a very real problem that the Federal Government of the United States stands in direct breach of the very compact that creates them and grants them any authority to even exist, much less govern.
All three branches of the Federal Government are rogue runaway criminal enterprises of, by and for themselves. By its own actions, the Federal Government has clearly violated pretty much every text, intent and purpose of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and in the USA, unlike 3rd world banana republics, this cannot be allowed to continue.
However, the fact that very few Americans today know enough about their Constitution and Bill of Rights, to properly define or pursue any correct remedy for this crisis, is a much greater problem. Sadly, even most modern-day “constitutionalists” lack a proper contextual understanding of “the Supreme Law of the Land” and, you can totally forget the notion that today’s law professionals know anything about Constitutional Law at all. They were only trained in English Common Law since 1946…”

Democrats’ new campaign strategy. Hide in the basement for the win.
Has anyone here know about “Writ of Quo Warranto” and if so is there any validity to it possibly being applied to the fraudulent election?

censored one of my friends who lost a loved one in a nursing home. She wanted to say “

Virginia’s governor has enacted “permanent” COVID restrictions.
Unless a Republican takes back the governor’s mansion, they will never go away. Masks will last forever.
Virginia: Blackface Northam Enacts PERMANENT COVID Restrictions, Will Force Workers to Wear Masks Indefinitely
https://nationalfile.com/virginia-blackface-northam-enacts-permanent-covid-restrictions-will-force-workers-to-wear-masks-indefinitely/
And what is Governor Abbott’s excuse? Almost a year of mask wearing here in Texas. Our local Y (red county) has just mandated masks must be worn even while exercising beginning Feb 4. Greg always closes his BS with ‘always voluntary’ when discussing vaccines as if to say you just wait.
Abbott is deep swamp, just like the rest. He has backed swamp candidates here in TX over and over again.
.
Isn’t there some kind of time limit on “states of emergency” giving these awipes dictatorial powers?
That’s what I keep asking! I’ve noticed, at least in some states, when these various COVID mandates and such have been put in place, there is an end date.
Not in my State Dictatorship of MA – the orders just go on and on/get modified/restrictions tightened/loosened, but NEVER END. No end date is EVER included with the orders.
Yes, Governor Baby Killer is a scumbag. My hope is that he develops a horrifically painful illness that lingers unto death.
The masks don’t do anything – they never have. They are a satanic, dehumanizing control mechanism. Slaves have often been forced to where masks. And currently hundreds of millions of women worldwide are forced to where masks or equivalents under threat of rape, prison, and death.
They’ll be coming for meat (specifically pork) in the next couple of years. They will say livestock spreads COVID. And no more pet dogs. It’s islam.
The cheating in Richmond and Fairfax along with the massive amount of illegals and federal employees makes that all but impossible. Frankly, all but a handful of counties and cities in VA should secede to WV.
This is all about this years Virginia governor’s election. It has already been rigged for Terry McAuliffe. ?
From ABC News, “DHS uses federal alert system for 1st time in a year to warn of domestic terrorist threat”:
They are coming for anyone who dissents on anything the government considers dissent.
The EOs signed by the installed usurper is opening the door for government bureaucracies including LE agencies – to weaponize the EOs – by adding enforcement mechanisms.
How very totalitarian of them.
And the nearly daily attacks against federal facilities in Seattle and Portland are either not mentioned, or implied to be right wing.
Because they are “peaceful protests.” /s
We know this, because BLM has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Believe the media, not your eyes.
I’m still waiting for one of those constitutional judges in our circuit courts that Mitch confirmed to challenge this new definition of “domestic terrorists”. It is unconstitutional. Citizens cannot be punished/discriminated against for political thought! I am very angered by the obvious election fraud of November 2020 – should I, a law-abiding, peaceful, middle-aged housewife be punished and targeted for my thoughts or speech?! I think not!!
Agree with your comments. My concern is the judicial system. I have little faith in it as I fear there is no rule of law and the law as the government sees it will be selectively enforced against us.
I am also not a fan of the Federalist Society that worked with Mitch and gave him list of judges. I fear too many Uniparty judges appointed
We will see.

Great advice.
There are more silver certificates than physical silver. Just as there can be more “stock” than stock as we have just recently seen.
One can get silver dollar coins at eBay!
Buy physical brass and led!

How long will it be before obedient “liberals” are wearing 3 masks while lining up to bend over for their COVID tests?
Should we start a pool?
The Covid immunization shots..
So they had a big program to give the shots to the elderly here..
You can see the ones in line outside wearing masks..
One volunteer person helping the process say.. yes republicans are usually the ones not wearing mask..
In reality it’s more like the informed Know BS when they see it.

I refuse to wear ONE mask, let alone wear 4 and get the experimental gene therapy shot. This is just pathetic.
Quadruple Diapering?Insanity tends to worsen when i’s normalized. So it’s not surprising to hear that the day after it was suggested by the “experts” at Virginia Tech that people should triple-down on the wearing of the Holy Rag, four of them would be even better.
Which tells you something about the efficacy of just one – especially if it’s literally just a rag, a “face covering” as required by the various “mandates” – i.e., rules by decree – that Americans now live under.
Don’t “face coverings” – “masks,” as they are generally styled – work? Isn’t that what those insisting on them have been saying all this time; that is to say, after Pope Fauci XVII said they don’t work?
Then said they do?

Wait wait wait…
You can wear a face shield instead of a mask.. with that in mind should we now be wearing three face shields as an alternative?

Is it possible that private donations could continue to fund border wall construction on at least private land? Could states like Texas build on state land?
That’s how the wall got started.. but then the GOV went after the person who organized it.. saying “all” the money did not go toward building the wall…
The a small amount was used to travel .
I don’t remember what the outcome was ..
MAGA
Bud – I was thinking the same thing. Whatever reason the initial We Build The Wall got shut down, they proved they could do it independently with donor funding, and do it better than the Army Corps of Engineers. I don’t see why that couldn’t happen again. The sad thing is that we already have tons of fencing sitting out there that have already been paid for by taxpayers, and they may end up rusting out instead of being installed. Praying that this situation can be rescued…

Welcome to DC… ?
The Macy’s where I live is shutting down. I hate people losing jobs but maybe this stems from them not supporting Trump
No Donna this is Covid 19 lockdowns. At the local and state level..driven by Uniparty politicians… closed stores ..no income.. cannot pay expenses.. it’s a market contraction.. Amazon wins with every store closing..
Yes, the draconian shut downs by the governors. I’d also like to nominate the crazy consolidation that happened in last 10+ years and the overextended credit these multi-store consolidations had. Almost all the regional department stores were affected – some purchased by the dreaded hedge funds. Took the cash and ran.
Bingo!
Not sure about the rest of the state here, but masks are mandated to play High School Sports here.
My state of New Mexico won’t even allow sports.
“The California Department of Public Health shut down youth and high school sports.
A gut punch, a finger in the eye, an anvil dropped on a foot to high school administrators, coaches and athletes.
In a nutshell, the announcement hurt, leaving people to wonder if sports will be played at all in this academic year as COVID-19 numbers continue to climb in California.”
This is seriously wrong. We have swimmers and I was just waiting for them to mandate masks in Idaho for that – can you imagine? Now, it doesn’t seem so far out there. At last year’s districts championships, the swimmers (after each event) had to swim to the other end of the pool and then the next heat of swimmers could start. At the same time, relay teams were lining up behind the blocks doing no distancing. So illogical. Those making rules for high school sports are so unattached from reality that they just follow government mandates and don’t use any common sense. This is dangerous to play sports like this.
That’s not only stupid but dangerous to the athletes’ health. Rebreathing CO2 etc while exerting themsellves. Terrible policy.
This is more dangerous than covid-19.
This is North Carolina.
Did the “edit” function disappear?
strange, edit function is on my text post but not on the above post with the picture.
Why is there not one Rep. or Sen. to stand up and ask WHY are the troops still outside the Capitol, what is the threat and who is it from? And they don’t give up until they get an answer that rings true. Enough of this pulling the levers behind the razor wire and inferring that it is Trump voters they are afraid of, I don’t think they are afraid of ANYTHING. If only the Republicans would realize how angry their people are at them, maybe they would grown spine.
