There is a “great migration” underway. People are moving by the tens of thousands to “safe havens”. Why would anyone pull up roots and move? Because they’re scared spitless. They’re moving out of New York City, out of California, in general, out of “blue states” to “red states”. Many “red state” occupants don’t want the “blue state” occupants to wreck their state. How does this relate to the government targeting conservatives and christians? It can go one of two ways (or more): 1. The consolidation of people of certain ideologies brings about a “safety in numbers” paradigm and could lead to secession, OR 2. Whole areas of the country can be targeted by the federal government. Remember Swalwell saying “but the government has nukes!!” and even though it is well recognized that he is a completely compromised idiot, his words were noted. At least we would die together.
Basically, the net-net of it is this: the government has lost control of the narrative and they aren’t going to get it back until they change their ways. Meanwhile, I have one remaining son in high school, and I just got an email that they will be part of our governor’s 1B group to receive the China virus vaccine. They said they are putting aside Feb 4 for the students to all get the vaccine. I don’t want my son to get this vaccine. I don’t know what to do but online school is a complete failure for him. I have to figure out how to get him out of this. He’ll probably be required to wear a mask for the next three years if he doesn’t or not return. I don’t know what’s in store.

He could self study for GED, get a mentorship or get tech certifications, depending on his bent. Work with his interests. He will learn much more and willingly. I don’t know your son, if he is struggling and lost, he would need more oversight.
I just know back when my kids were in high school, even in a deep red area at the time, they learned more about partying than they did calculus. I subbed back then, and was discouraged at how little most learned. My youngest ended up getting a GED, then went on to college. He was a hands on, outdoor type and he was miserable. My other son, a traditional learner and did very well in the school setting.

Did your son have a reaction to any of the forced vaccines, like MMR?
My oldest son, an attorney, did when he was young. He said he will use that reason as long as he can. And they really should NOT be able to check you on that because of the law, but who knows…there is no law anymore. However, It’s not a mandate, yet. But, I believe it will be.
My younger son is planning to walk away from his job, if forced. These are not easy decisions. Choice to be free or controlled. A price for either.
The only vaccine that is not RNA is the Johnson and Johnson. Maybe you could tell them you plan to take the J&J vaccine when it is available. Could buy you some time.
To me, buying time is very important. If others start getting sick in 6 mos., it could be discontinued. Try to get through this school year without it. Then see how things go and reassess

Personally, I think it will be as useless as the flu vaccine. Nobody in my house gets the flu vaccine. Last couple times I had it, which was several years ago, I was a couple months later sick with very bad flu. So never again. I consider a coronavirus vaccine a higher risk vaccine, experimental, and there hasn’t been an effective vaccine for coronavirus yet, and this thing keeps on morphing.

I have never gotten the flu vaccine, either. I don’t intend to, ever. Even though I was extremely pressured at work, I just said “no, thank you”. It’s tough when they deliver to your building and everyone else jumps in line.

They can’t require an experimental vaccine. It doesn’t have FDA approval just an emergency use authorization.

I wonder how long this will last. I am concerned that at some point they’re going to say they vaccinated enough people to say qualification of clinical trial has been done and then demand everyone vaccinate. I for one am not going to , they will have to fire me. I’m not basing that on whether the vaccine is effective or safe but it’s my right.
Find out if there is any “opt out”, and what is necrssary to excercise it.
Explore a GED option. There is a preliminary test he can take, to see if he even NEEDS to study.
If he does need to study, let him spend his time more productively than wasting it in high school.
Once he has GED, he can take first 2 years at a community college, then decide if he wants to transfer to a University.
Most of all, focus on getting him out in the “real world” of WORKING for a living, so he can develop “good work habits” that are necesary in any career.
IMHO public education has made itself irrelevant, and unheathy for growing minds,..
He is on an IEP and I am not an effective teacher as far as school work. I’d rather him have a diploma. He has had developmental delays since a toddler.

I wanted to add I agree about the state of “education” today. My oldest is NOT joining the military now, he’s also had issues and was on an IEP, but he is being responsible working full time right now, looking at going to the community college to get his humanities under his belt while he figures things out. He has saved enough money and just bought his first car and is very proud. Wants to move out with a friend, has found a possible nearby apartment. Wants to stay near our home town, this is a neighboring town, and is very upset our President is not in office and totally does not buy the main stream narrative of what happened in our election, neither do his friends. He just graduated last year, had no traditional ceremony and no prom. But I think he is determined to figure out some kind of career with stablity.

Mark Steyn, in for Rush this week, mentioned an article by a Dr. Roger Koots, a biochemist, published by the American Institute for Economic Research. The article is one in a group written by several authors around a theme of Crisis in Science, and mainly dealing with the reaction to COVID. Dr. Koops’ piece focuses on masking and it crushes the idea that masking makes any difference.
Steyn didn’t go into detail but stressed Koots’ tag line of “Stopping humans from being human will not stop the virus from being a virus!”.

I’m in western NC also; they even wear them while hiking. So freaking weird. Tho 20 somethings are the most brain washed..so scary what is going on.
I hiked at DuPont State Forest yesterday (gorgeous false spring weather) and was pleased to see 95+% maskless. Nevertheless, I do see 99% still masking in stores – including elementary school age kids – and it’s disheartening considering this is Trump country and our county sheriff has said he will not enforce the mandates.
Since this started d last spring I’ve asked the masked, “when will you take it off?”. I’ve never gotten an answer. They simply have no clue and no inquisitiveness to find out why their freedoms are being taken.
Oh I’ve got one better for you. Bowling night there is a team where they wear a mask to bowl and pull it down sitting at the table with their buddies. Why? I don’t think they understand what the mask was for. I don’t wear one at all.
