I made a vow to stay on twitter as long as President Trump had a presence there. The day his accounts were shuttered, so was mine. I have absolutely no use for or inclination to support such a site. I can get my fill of Sundance here at the Treehouse. I too refuse to go to twitter to watch or read comments.
The Twitt posts should be copied and posted to Gab (my preference) or Parler. Yes, you lose some revenue stream, but there is NO censorship. Takes more time, but… if that’s your business, then it should be done that way. Twitt needs to be REMOVED from the workflow.

It’s getting better, Vic M. Now that the new system is in place the moderators have time to spend kicking off postings that are personal attacks. There are still some spats but mostly it’s just fussing about what others are posting instead of just scrolling past which would be polite.
Personal attacks cant and wont further an intelligent discussion….noticed an uptick as well…tempers on edge, I guess….

I still get more news and tips from TCH commenters than probably anywhere else. And I check for Sundance-contributions multiple times a day. For those contributions — who cares about comments. They are precious.
Exactly, I look at the amount of comments from a week/two weeks ago compared to now and I’m with the commenter who said Ad Rem is able to filter out a lot of the bots/trolls.
That said, I understand some people are down because of the obvious cheat. All we can do is push forward and live our best lives, as Sundance says. Tell everyone you know to unsubscribe from and send a stern respectful reply to requests from the GOP and CONservative PACS. The riots were confined to downtown DC and were ignored by the mainstream media. So, anyone living outside that area were clueless about the riots unless you followed conservative media.

It takes a long time to accept an important truth: that the ability to have and to keep one’s own beliefs is enormously important to self-esteem, including our own. When engaging with family and friends on politics, and knowing very well the weaknesses of the Left’s ideology, I steer clear of the controversial aspects of politics (particular leaders, policies , scandals etc), and focus only on the very essence of society’s important goal: to improve the standard of living for all its citizens. This leads to a discussion of what constitutes wealth. Is wealth money, or is it actually the goods and services people hope to obtain with money?
This leads to a discussion of the best ways to create, not more money, but more goods and services. I also point out that, instead of determining that 10 dollars and hour is no longer sufficient to maintain a minimum standard of living today, we should ask what factors have created those conditions whereby 10 dollars an hour is no longer, all of a sudden, sufficient as had been claimed by advocates when 10 dollars was proposed. This leads to matters about why money loses value etc.
I have never failed to hold the attention of these progressive friends, relatives and acquaintances because I recognized implicitly that they too, by their interest in politics, were looking for answers to improve our common quality of life, but that our collective attention should always be focused on the production of goods and services themselves, and not on how much money one has at one’s disposal.
It will shock you ( or maybe not) that people will tell you ‘they had never thought of it that way.’ They will shake their head in amazement, and you will have created an important personal bond with them by recognizing their own sincerity and interest in improving the quality of life for all, but that this interest should be focused on the ready availability of goods and services we all want and need, and not on the constantly increasing amounts of money required to obtain them.
Of course, I know that this particular orientation for discussion completely annihilates the false premise of socialism which is that all value is derived from money, and that the distinction between the rich and poor is that the rich have money and the poor do not, the truth being that the poor are poor, in part, because the money in the their pockets has little value given the needlessly restricted availability of goods and services.

I have been very impressed by the Mexican President. He refused to congratulate Biden after the election, and he is slamming Big Tech for banning President Trump. I don’t know all of the details of our new trade agreement, but it must really have been good for Mexico as well as us. He also has been supportive of the “Remain in Mexico” plan. I really think it shows that President Trump and his team showed respect for other nations and what they needed to also be successful. And other nations, at least Mexico seemed to appreciate that. President Trump really showed such wisdom in how he dealt with other nations.
Well that is a bummer….all you can do is sigh and when you next speak simply say you are of two different minds….

Your relative needs to pull away from CNN or wherever they get fed so many lies and distortions. Rest assured, many of us are surrounded by such people, often right in our own households! These same loving, once rational, educated, even faithful people are blind to the actual environment they live in. It might be something akin to Stockholm Syndrome.
I spent 35+ years in Cambridge, MA, and now live in Vermont. I have been deeply immersed with these well meaning, yet self-satisfied, and arrogant fantasists for a long time. You could say I know them intimately because I was indeed one of them before I was awakened one day in April 2008 when some friends, in agreement, called me a racist for supporting Clinton over Obama. They said they were joking, but we all knew they weren’t. Few things have ever stunned me more in this life!
Now, it is so dispiriting to watch them all comply like children with every absurd guideline and mandate put forth, completely unable to have a discussion in which the reality of the virus is properly separated from the horrific consequences of our response to it. They will not acknowledge how few, if any, in their families or cohort have been infected or, worse, recognize that the greatest impact has been among (costly) older and health compromised populations, with clear socioeconomic delineation. And after a lifetime of the world catering to their choices, somehow they have concluded the a one-size-fits-all solution makes sense.

I have been reading up on something. Because – well because I pay attention to credible prophets. Kim Clement prophesied many years ago that Trump would be President. And there will be a time when there would be two Presidents. He also prophesied that Trump would be impeached twice. Two others I’ve found consistently credible have prophesied for a while now that God’s timing would disregard our dates/ deadlines for Trump to be installed in his consecutive second term. One heard “two Presidents, two Inaugurations.” Another whom I highly regard heard that the election would go to the Supreme Court (this was shared at least a month before Nov 3) and Trump would win. Who knows. But I do take notice.
Be that as it may. I’ve been studying some about election fraud. As far as I can tell, if fraud has been proven after the “winner” is installed, then the election is by court order given to the opposite candidate or sometimes another election is ordered. I would like to know more, if anyone else is aware and can educate me. (not looking for reflex poo-pooing, got enough of that going on).

Jewish tradition requires that if a prophet makes even a single wrong prophesy they must be immediately stoned to death because even one wrong thing means they are not prophets, they are evil charlatans. That is my personal measuring stick for prophets.
That is correct. The Bible states that if someone claims to be speaking by revelation from God, it must ALL come true, or the person was NOT sent by God!
That’s correct about a prophet whose prophecy must all come true, but it is not true that the Jewish traditionalists used this as a measurement. Also keep in mind that many times the prophecy is not fulfilled until years and even centuries later.
Jesus sees it quite the opposite than Jewish tradition:
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!”

I absolutely believe that God through the Holy Spirit is still speaking to His people, but not in the way of giving prophesies about coming events. The Bible is the whole word of God about what is to come. He doesn’t need to still talk about this leader or that leader. He said tribulations will come, nations will rise and fall, but when these things start happening at faster rates and bigger than before, and what nation falling will have as big of an impact as the USA, then look up, Jesus is coming.
Well….they didn’t stone Jesus. The Sanhedrin crucified him even though his prophecies are 100 % accurate.

Any philosopher ancient, medieval, or modern, who is worth his 2-cents, especially any Conservative philosopher, will tell you that before you can take the proper course of action, your mind and soul must be examined to assure that they are thinking in such a way, so that the course of action chosen will, in fact, be the proper one.
Allow me to offer some thoughts for you to ponder from Conservative philosopher Albert Jay Nock, whom I discovered c. 55 years ago, and who remains just as salient today as back then, perhaps even more so. He was a member of my great-grandparents’ generation, i.e. the Post-Civil War generation, who grew up during the turbulent times of the settling of the West, the Gilded Age, the Gay Nineties (which had entirely different meaning then), and of course who were the leading generation during World War I.
By the time the Roaring Twenties had finished and the Great Depression had hit, Nock had soured on the American government, and had even soured somewhat on the American people, although not completely hopeless were the latter, he wanted to believe.
Here are two important quotes – startling ones, given that they were written over 90 years ago (1927) ! – from an essay entitled The Anarchist’s Progress:
“(When I was in England in 1911), the Liberal Party was in power…and my attention became attracted to its tenets. I had already seen something of Liberalism in America as a kind of glorified mugwumpery.* The Cleveland Administration had long before proven what everybody already knew, that there was no essential difference between the Republican and Democratic Parties: an election meant merely that one was in office and wished to stay in, and the other was out and wished to get in.”
Nock continues:
“Great and salutary social transformations, such as in the end do not cost more than they come to, are not effected by political shifts…least of all by violent revolutions, but by sound and disinterested ** thinking….We need only remark that our place and function in (a social upheaval) are not apparent, and then proceed on our way, first with the more obscure and difficult work of clearing and illuminating our minds…second with (giving help) to others whose faith, like our own, is set more on the regenerative power of thought than on …premature action. “
Thus I believe, I sense, I fear that too many are scrambling right now with too many hopes and fears and may not be coolly pondering exactly how to oppose in the best way the coming attempt to “re-make America” into an 87th-rate land of corruption, poverty, shame, and regression.
Prayer – never to be discounted, especially guided by a few readings from the Bible to focus our thoughts toward “What does God want me to do?” – reading History, reading the essays of Edmund Burke, Erik von Kuehnnelt-Leddihn, and Albert Jay Nock and others, and perhaps avoiding certain websites completely, is quite possibly the balm many of us could use right now.
* “Mugwump” was an Algonquin Indian word for “important person” and became the nickname for 19th-century RINOS, i.e. Republican “reformers” who left the party in protest over James G. Blaine and supported Grover Cleveland.
** The proper meaning of “disinterested” is “objective,” “cool and separate from.” It was NOT a synonym for “uninterested.”

Many thanks for the nice sentiment: I always taught History as a story with very interesting characters, and the task was to wonder why those characters acted the way they did, and to marvel at the coincidences, the opportunities, the good and bad luck, and the choices made and not made.
Memorizing dates was not my thing: to be sure, you needed to know e.g. that The Thirty Years’ War lasted 30 years – 😉 – around the early 1600’s. But more important were the results of events, both long-term and short-term.
For example, much of what we have today we owe to the Greek soldiers at Thermopylae and Salamis and other battles against the Persians, and to the Roman legions of the Punic Wars and the Pax Romana.
Setting up the dominoes across thousands of years and showing how e.g. Ptolemy’s mistake in calculating the circumference of the Earth led to Columbus discovering America was my main duty!

As I watch “The Darkest Hour,” a 2017 Academy Award-nominated film, the similarity between the betrayal of Prime Minister Winston Churchill by those around him as well as U.K. voters, and President Trump becomes starkly apparent.

Interesting points. But is there another way to look at it? I believe there are great differences between Churchill and Trump.

Social media is now an indispensable advertising and marketing artery for businesses large and small. I am not sure a company can compete if it gives them up. That plus the fact they have to “behave properly” on those platforms they now depend on is very concerning.
If just 3% of the 80,000,000 Trump voters stopped using these services just one time that would be roughly 2.46 million less orders for these antiamerican slobs. It adds up real quick when that same 3% stops using them entirely. Now do some quick math and figure out what would happen if 20% stopped using them completely. Devastating would be an understatement.
We have remarkable silent power to make change but people would need to be disciplined and train themselves to use that power. We don’t need to be organized, we just need to do our little part, quietly and without fanfare. Fighting back doesn’t require us to join any group or movement. Just intestinal fortitude to stand for what we believe.

Would you be OK with President Trump being the antichrist? Here’s why I ask: I don’t pretend to know what God’s plan is, but I have absolute faith in God’s plan, however it comes to pass. While my flesh self wants PDJT to triumph here and now, my Spiritual self is just as accepting that he may be the instrument of God which brings us to where He wants us to be, even if we don’t get what we want immediately in the process.
I can honestly say that my service to the Lord has little to do with worldly rewards. I do what I do because deep down in my heart, I love God and I want His glorious plan to unfold as he would have it do so. I am in service to God and I am to demonstrate daily His love and His devotion, and therefore my heart is filled with Joy, no matter what is going on in the world.
Let’s keep the main thing the main thing, God’s work as expressed by our hands, and God’s love as accepted within our own hearts as the center of it all. I don’t deal in how bad it is. It is that bad because that’s God’s PERFECT plan which opens opportunities for all of us to play our role- our role in His plan. Find inner peace, invite Jesus into your heart if you haven’t already.
Does not the Antichrist need to denounce God? President Trump is not the Antichrist.
The Antichrist could also be the globalist one world government that wants to rule the earth. It is God’s plan to rule the earth, hence “Thy Kingdom come” in the Lord’s Prayer. But I don’t really know, of course.
The antiChrist has specific signs from prophecy. Trump has not shown any of these specific signs like the mark of the beast before you can buy a loaf of bread or the 666 or coming back to life after a head wound.
I agree with both Jlwary and Justin here, but that’s not the point of my post, it’s about measuring oneself and to see where your own heart is. Not really looking for anyone to analyze whether he is or is not, but our own willingness to accept God’s plan as God intended it to be. It’s a hypothetical, and one I don’t need anyone to answer publicly or to me on.
To that end, I have been battling back my fear (and winning) because this is all on God’s time and according to his plan. It brought me great relief when I refocused on that.
The antichrist we’re thinking of (there are many anti christs according to scripture) will usher in the third temple era. So it will have to be someone who can make a deal in the middle east wherein all parties agree about the hotly disputed temple mount, and agree the jews can build a new one and worship there.
I don’t believe that’s President Trump based on other things said in scripture about the anti-christ, but I guess it’s possible. Our focus is supposed to be on being ready for Jesus’ return, so I try to keep mine there.
The antichrist is supposed to be loved worldwide not persecuted and removed from office.
I don’t know anything about religion, but understand that god is the ultimate arbiter of what happens.

The activity of the Antichrist is shown to occur in Europe. I am far from a Biblical scholar, but when the book of Revelation talks about the Mediterranean Sea, Rome, Jerusalem, those are the actual physical locations and cities. Of course, sometimes Rome and Jerusalem are symbolic, but you can tell when they are symbolic and when they are literal from the context. “The horsemen from the East” may refer to China.
Anyway, the Antichrist will make a treaty or pact with Israel that will be for 7 years, in which Israel is allowed to rebuild the temple, but he will break this agreement after 3 and a half years. When you see this happening, you know you are in the end times.
I see America functioning as a place of refuge and escape for those in Europe who are persecuted by the Antichrist, these would be the Christians and Jews. I think Revelation chapter 12 is about America, I don’t really know when or where I picked up this idea.

A great many of those who have stuck by the president even after many turned on him after January 6, and who are defending him from the charges that he did anything wrong that day, are also the same people who have been urging him to declassify everything, and to pardon Assange and Snowden.

It has been claimed that the president is holding back on pardons for Assange and Snowden as a bargaining chip to protect his family.
That may be true. However, whoever he is negotiating with, if it’s true, is likely to be Brer Rabbit bargaining to be thrown into the briar patch in place of being exposed.
