Just got an invitation to attend the Minnesota GOP Retreat. Funny thing about that is the Minnesota GOP did squat for President Trump, even though they say they fought hard for him. Hard like a limp noodle.
They did not fight for Minnesotans, either, which is obvious by our continued lock-down.

I have an elderly Aunt who just passed away. For the past year she has been in a nursing home and declining from advancing alzheimers. Several weeks ago she was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer that had metastasized. The family moved her into hospice/palliative care. They were preparing for the end stage. During this time frame she came down with COVID.
Guess what the cause of death is listed on the death certificate?
COVID.
My Aunt was terminal with advanced cancer and was days away from dying of cancer; yet COVID is her listed cause.
A complete and utter fraud on the American public.

I’m so sorry about your aunt. I lost my father at the beginning of this awful year, and it’s passed through my mind more than once that at least he was spared the indignity of being classified a COVID casualty.
Yes, my mother was set free from more than a decade of dementia in mid-May…I was not allowed to see her for almost six weeks but was then allowed back in for her final two and a half weeks because she was considered end-stage. She had been in the same facility for almost five years and they knew me well, since I had previously visited my mom at least three or fours days a week. They were very understanding and let me stay with her almost the entire last week. I am honestly thankful for her sake that she passed when she did because it would have been wrenching to have not been able to see her all this time. My heart just breaks for families who have been separated from their loved ones since March!

Thank you…it is never easy to lose a parent but my mom had a strong faith and she hated losing herself by inches over so many years. I am thankful that she is now healed and whole, reunited with my dad, her parents, her five siblings, and so many friends. I will see her again and she will actually know who I am – can’t wait!!
She was also a staunch conservative and our family traces all the way back to the War for Independence so she would have been heart-broken had she seen what is happening to the country her ancestors fought and died to create and defend!
It would have upset my father as well. He was a legal immigrant who obtained his citizenship as soon as he was able, and loved this country with a fierce passion. He came over with nothing and created a wonderful, successful life. Had he not already been fluent in English, as well as other languages, he would have learned it quickly to assimilate.
Sorry for going on. The issue of illegals is upsetting to me.

I do understand! While my family came here from Ireland in the 1750s, my husband’s family came from Norway in the late 1950s, after the horrors of WWII and just before his birth. He was the first American in his family but his father soon obtained his citizenship as well and teared up when talking about what this country had given to him and his family for the rest of his life. My MIL had to learn English to get a Driver’s License, and my husband’s older siblings were put straight into regular schools where learning English was their ONLY option! And the entire family has worked hard, followed the laws, raised successful, productive children, and are ALL furious over the fact that illegal immigrants have destroyed the country their parents fought so hard to enter legally!!

you are so fortunate. we were completely locked out in mid-march even though my mother was end-stage hospice patient. even the nurses from the hospice care foundation were not allowed to visit. it was criminal as far as I was concerned. my moms in a better place, though i probably can’t forgive her for voting a straight D ticket her entire life.

Viking mom, as I write this I am sitting with my elderly dad in a memory care facility which thankfully is now allowed as we brought hospice in this weekend.. I cannot say how thankful I am to sit beside him. It has been so hard to not see him.

I have recently discovered the great British actor Jeremy Brett, who died at a very young age, in his sixties. I never even heard of him until this year but now I’m seeking everything he ever acted in. Heaven must be a wonderful place, with special people like your dear beloved mother and Jeremy Brett up there.
I totally can relate to that. Same story here. I flew in from MT in May and had to get permission to visit my own mother after a week of quarantine. 3 days of visitation before the governor stopped visitations again. Trying to explain to her why we couldn’t visit anymore was heart breaking. In July, visits were once again allowed, and my brother brought her outside for lunch. He said she wasn’t the same and he feared she had given up. She died 3 days later. These governors are playing with people’s lives and should be in prison for killing people.
Carpe, I lost my father as well. This year in January,,, and I had similar thoughts. I am so very sorry for what extreme sadness I am sure you continue to feel. It’s hard.

So frustrating! Was she actually moved OUT of the nursing home into a different facility? Why was she even tested for COVID? The same thing happened to my neighbor’s mother – she was in a memory care facility and spiked a fever so they transported her to the local hospital where she was diagnosed with a raging UTI. Since she was on Hospice, her daughter was given the option to decline antibiotics, which she did, and her mother was kept comfortable and passed from the infection after a few days, per her stated wishes before her dementia diagnosis. BUT, because “everyone” gets a COVID test upon admittance to the hospital, and hers was positive, even though she had ZERO symptoms of it, it was listed on her death certificate and she became another “COVID-related death”. (And the hospital got a nice extra bonus to boot because of her “diagnosis”…isn’t that convenient for them?)
Oddly enough, there’s nothing conspiratorial about moving a hospice patient out of one facility and into another, as there are three, four, or even five layers of ‘nursing home’ concerning what level of care that a resident receives.
Hospice facilities are soooo much better-suited to take care of hospice patients versus most nursing homes, as nursing homes spread out care of residents between one or two staff members (a ridiculous ratio at times), and it’s nearly impossible for residents to get individualized care in these human cattle pens (I’m not a big fan of these facilities, especially the for-profit variety, most of them are now owned by hedge funds).
It’s actually a good thing most of the time to move someone to a hospice facility.
I understand the process but my frustration is that the poster’s aunt, just like my neighbor’s mother, was only “diagnosed” with COVID because they were being moved from one facility to another, NOT because they were exhibiting any symptoms of actually having it. And because of that, their deaths are listed as “COVID-related” when they clearly weren’t! Do facilities routinely test asymptomatic people for “Influenza” when they are brought in? Or Chicken Pox? Or ANYTHING else? Nope – just “COVID” and probably using the utterly flawed PCR test to do so, which only perpetuates the myth of a “pandemic” and extends this politically, financially based scam to continue!
If I have to hear “Covid” as a reason for what, imo is mistreatment of nursing home patients I will scream.
My 83 year old mother has been in a nursing facility with dementia since 2015 when I could no longer care for her and was moving back to Fl, from VA. Early spring, I could not reach her in her room, seems her room phone was out of order…oops, sorry can’t have a tech come in for a repair..”Covid”. Yes, we can take a cordless phone to her, but we only have one.
August, I recieve a call, Mom has been taken to the hospital. She’s developed gangrene on her left foot. Seems she had developed a diabetic ulcer that they were attempting to treat in the nursing home that had not worked out well. Sorry, we had to cancel her doctor’s appointments….”Covid” I drove 11 hours to see her…sorry, you can’t come in…”Covid” let me show you a window, you can look at her for an hour.
Yes, she had to have her foot amputated and now everytime she has a follow up appointment she is quarantined for 14 days…you guessed it “Covid”
I recall reading a true story. Elderly black women, diabetic, developed gangrene in her foot. She refused surgery, and was mentally competent.
When the pointed out her foot was BLACK, she said “you just rubbed ink on it, your NOT cutting off my foot!”
Anyway, young Dr read up on alternative treatments for gangrene.
Maggots only eat DEAD flesh, not live, and a long time ago were used to treat gangrene.
He explained the proceedure, and surprisingly she agreed.
Made small incision, inserted a # of maggots who had been fed breadcrumbs for 24 hours prior.
It worked, the maggots ate all the dead, rotting flesh, and a week later she left the hospital, foot intact.
My question is WHY aren’t they using this as the treatment for ALL Diabetics who develop gangrene in their feet, which IS fairly common?

I once had a doctor recommend my dad to hospice care because he refused tube feeding. I went down the hall and brought him a ham sandwich. He wolfed it down and was discharged to live one more year!
Dad suffered from pneumonia ..not lockjaw! Institutional stupidity!
It galls me that hospital workers are vaunted as “heroes” merely for showing up. Those who blindly follow CDC guidelines are not exactly “brave,” if you ask me!
What about all the people who “show up” in response to a 9-11 call? How about those who feed us, who truck in our supplies and stock our food shelves? Or those who transport workers to their jobs, pick up our garbage and.. well.. you get the idea. My pharmacist sees lots of sick people every day too!

My elderly father in law also in a nursing home, diagnosed w/covid. We insisted he be given HCQ & they complied. He recovered. Then got MRSA & pneumonia & died. Because of the previous covid diagnosis, covid was listed as cause. We are being scammed
MRSA and Staph infections are notorious in hospitals due to bugs that are chemical resistant. Yet here we are abusing germicides and cleaning solutions, that we were previously advised to use sparingly for this very reason!

My mom (83) had been doing ok for several years, until January when her dementia took a sudden dip for the worst.
Turns out that many dementia patients can have undiagnosed UTIs that dramatically affect cognition. Something to note for those caring for elderly relatives. The infection was treated, she bounced back for 24 hours then was back in the E.R.
The recommendation was made for transfer to hospice in February, which went well until the COVID lockdown, so she died utterly alone in April.
Her death certificate read dementia as cause of death – if it had said COVID they knew I was going to raise hell.
My sympathies for your loss. Tough times indeed for the greatest generation.

As my friend who lost her mother recently said, “Who cares if she gets Covid, she’s dying? The home let the family in…finally but only two at a time and with the muffled, itchy, miserable masks on their faces. Before that they had to wave at her through the window and go in one at a time for a few minutes. I could cry but what good does that do?
This entire debacle is just Satanic.
I made it a point to have dinner with my mother over two years, almost every day, after my father died. this greatly enhanced her quality of life. none of my other siblings visited more than 4 times the entire duration of her memory care residence – there was nothing in it for them.
it’s shocking the first month or so, seeing the condition of the residents, but you become used to their ways and after a time, most of my mother’s ‘friends’ recognized me when i sat down to eat with her. I would usually bring her something nice to eat because the standard fare was bland and laced with sodium.
for those of you caring for family members with dementia, the more you visit the more you can affect their well being. the staff got to know me very well, and knew I would not accept any BS excuses for lapses in my mother’s care.
you do catch more flies with honey than vinegar, so every week or so, I would bring a couple of pizzas or baked chickens or other treats for the staff to show my appreciation.
i also got to know the families of the other residents, and the saddest thing was seeing which people never had visitors – I went out of my way to chat with them to the extent I was able.
my mother knew i was her son, up until the last couple of months she was alive, but she always knew I was someone important to her.

My condolences to you on your loss…I also spent a lot of time visiting my mother, getting to know the staff, and interacting with the other residents and their families. I agree with you in that I think it made a difference in the level of care that she received, both because the good staff knew and liked me AND the lazy staff knew that I would kick up a fuss if things weren’t done well.
My mother knew that she knew me although I don’t think she could have verbalized exactly WHO I was to her or what my name was, but she always smiled when I came in so I was happy with that!
Reading through ALL of these stories is wrenching – so many families separated by this Scam-demic, all because evil people needed a way to destroy the duly elected President of the United States!
The knowledge that God is just and that He will hold them accountable in eternity, even if they get away with their lies in the here and now, is the only thought that keeps me somewhat sane right about now!! Still continuing to pray for some justice now though cause I think there are a lot of us who really need to see it in person AND SOON!!
Admin user, I am sorry for your loss. I had a very similar situation with my mother, she was in memory care with dementia for almost 5 years, and I visited her 6 days a week. When i could no longer take her out, I brought in lunch or special treats for all of the residents. They were so desperate for company, and some would sit or stand behind my chair when i was visiting with Mom. She was 96, a WWII Marine. The caregivers were excellent, but they knew I would be there checking her…and calling attention to things I thought should be noticed (I am a retired RN). I was with her when they shut down the facility in March and called or stood outside her window every day until Sept, when they allowed 1 family member to come inside for 1 hour once a week…full ppe and 6 feet away. In Aug she had a massive stroke and we had hospice care in her memory care room. I had visited twice and managed to kiss her forehead one time; she said, “Thanks, I needed that.” Her last 2 weeks no one could go inside because there were active covid patients there, but I still had my window visits. One morning hospice called and said I should come soon, she died an hour after i got there. I did not want her to die alone, but i believe she knew I was at my post just outside her window, The funeral home was “booked up” for 10 days before we could have a memorial service, and it was 3 weeks before we could take her out of state to be buried beside my dad in a National Cemetery. I am glad she did not have to know about her current events.

So sorry for your loss. My good friend, an oncologist, just retired from practice. In the past year patients who were end stage cancer and came down with covid were deemed covid deaths and she was forced to put that on the death certificates. Cancer was not mentioned. Never mind that they were in hospice care and suffering from cancer for a long time. Another brilliant doctor gone, just could not take it anymore.
And she will be replaced by a foreign born who got preference to be admitted to med school and given a free ride, who does not have the compassion or empathy for people and will gladly write anything asked in exchange for 6 figure salary.

My brother was ready to bust the windows to visit her on her birthday in August. I was fortunate to visit with her for three days only as she was in hospice care due to dementia. She was a strong woman, and covid didn’t get her, she died of a heart attack. I would still like to see the death certificate. RIP mom.

Some will argue that House Democrats are not threatening democracy any more than what President Trump is doing with his court challenges and lobbying to have electoral votes given to him. It’s the equivalent of claiming apples are the same as oranges. Trump is asking others to allow an outcome he prefers. House Democrats are telling us they will decide for themselves what the outcome will be. The actual equivalent would be for Trump to claim that Bill Barr gets to decide who won the presidential election.
State courts with a set number of years to serve do not get to tell the legislature that they have decided things should be as they are for federal judges. Thus, they will serve for life. Elections should be decided by the legal votes of those residing in a given jurisdiction, not by the whims of the party in the majority at any given point in time.
One final point about the action taken in 1985 leading down an ugly path. Gingrich, and a unified and emboldened group of House Republicans, vowed to put an end to “business as usual.” Their resolve led to taking down Speaker Jim Wright of Texas, and later establishing a Republican majority in 1994.
The bottom line is simple. If Democrats indeed turn a blind eye to what the voters in Iowa and New York decided with their votes, Republicans will have no choice but to fight them on virtually everything. With many Democrats now mouthing the words of bipartisanship and unity, their actions would certainly result in unintended consequences.

As some of you know I live in a red county, 75%Trump, here on the TX IH 35 corridor. I have felt that I have more than most, security, community, safety. The constitution is as important as the Bible. Yesterday I was at my therapist’s office for a session and heard something that upends all that. My interest in volunteering in the mental health field led her to reveal some very troubling news indeed. Here I thought our city leaders would prevent us turning in Austin, TX but now that isn’t going to happen. She told me there is a hotel in town that is dedicating an entire first floor to helping and assisting the homeless. They are just waiting on additional funding from a certain foundation. She added she has already volunteered and sometimes takes loads of laundry home to help out. So when will the Democrats insist that if we don’t start taking them into our homes they will burn our town down. Eventually, foundation money runs out, then what? How many hotels will also be converted? Homelessness doesn’t decline! Abbott is allowing our state to turn Blue and then what? We vote him out and put whom in his place?
We have only ourselves to blame when we decided to sit at our keyboards and just complain and talk, talk, talk…but not one got up from writing their letters to deaf reps to actually march down to city hall to holler (I also volunteer at the GOP headquarters). We are to blame when we allowed a BLM loving mayor to enter city hall without having been opposed in the last election. We are to blame when we whined about masks and mandates but did nothing. Let me tell you what McConnell has done since March since we’re talking facts. He has CONSISTENTLY tried to negotiate down the amount of money going to citizens for covid relief. Even when the $1200 went out the first time, he wanted it at $600. And all the while he was playing along with POTUS up until the election, although he was opposing Pelosi’s bailouts to blue states and cities, he was also trying to minimize the amount of aid going out to citizens.
After the electors went through for Biden, he dropped all pretenses, letting the pork go through, but still insisting on minimizing payments to citizens. Should we be fans of handouts to citizens? That’s not the point. McConnell’s priorities are clear. He made his choice. The pork was more important than the American people. He’s a Chinese-owned scumbag and his political maneuverings change none of that.

It’s good that he did lump the 3 issues into one bill because if the vote was just on the increase in stimulus payment then the Dem’s and RINO’s will feel free to turn their backs on the Section 230 and vote fraud requirements the President laid out.
My understanding is that the $600 will still be issued and once the 3 items are brought up together and passes then the difference of $1,400 would then go out but at that time then work to fix or remove Section 230 and a serious format to address voter fraud will also be put into place.
Not a bad idea if McConnell really did make an agreement with the President on all three items and is actually keeping his word on it. Interesting, will have to see how it plays out.

Actually, PJ some of us that were born in MA 70 years ago, grew up with the Bostonian/JFK accent and in my case had grandparents, great aunts who were born in England who spoke using “whilst”, unbeknownst, and other words were part of the vocabulary having been born in England.
Additionally, if one was churched and used the King James Version, 1611 England, such words were used in that version of the Bible.
So one can’t conclusively state one’s from England who uses ‘whilst’.
