A slight shift in this COVID compliance and resistance example. The California state regulatory authorities raid a beauty salon citing COVID compliance demands; however, the local authorities refuse to cooperate with the state intent.
Pomp Hair Salon in Stockton California was raided by state officials who cited the salon for continuing operations [media story here]. The subsequent misdemeanor citation comes from the state. However, local law enforcement and county prosecution say they will not participate in the enforcement mechanism.
This creates an unusual dynamic as the state has threatened to revoke licenses for the salon and the workers; but what “enforcement” action could the state undertake?
The issues highlighted here cover more than hair salons. Restaurants and bars are facing similar threats from regulatory agencies: Dept of Health, Bureau of Alcohol, etc. It is the regulatory issue that keeps many business owners in fear of defying COVID lock-downs.
If local officials break from state regulatory and compliance demands, there’s no precedent for what enforcement action a state might attempt to take unilaterally.
Would ideologically prone state governors attempt to send State Police to enforce their unilateral fiats and face a showdown with local law enforcement?
It is into this dynamic when everyone should remember the County Sheriff is the highest constitutional officer in the region. A county sheriff can nullify any outside law enforcement agency by simply not complying. This is a well known issue inside law enforcement.
This takes the blue state (totalitarianism) -vs- red state (freedom/liberty) issue into a more granular distinction. Within the Blue States there are likely to be contests of power between local and state officials. It is an interesting dynamic.
Meanwhile… Thanks to Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida is leading the way in allowing local jurisdictions and individual businesses to make up their own mind about what COVID mitigation efforts best suit their constituents and customers. This approach puts the accountability on the local officials who are closest to the voices of those who live there.
Until now we have noted blue state citizens fleeing the totalitarian states for red state places where freedom is more pronounced. However, with this internal regulatory issue highlighted, there may be regional moves within a state where citizens migrate in-state to areas where they are able to live with greater liberty.
The local -vs- state enforcement activity is an interesting dynamic to keep watching.

U.S. Marshalls is where the constitutional powers rest. Now, who appoints them?
Why would a US Marshall ever try to enforce a State regulation?
Just returned from 3 weeks in Florida after escaping the California lock down. Night and day difference, we had inside and outside dinning, no Karen’s in Naples, some masks. Almost normal, we were in tears upon arrival.
Felt the same way last July when we vacationed in South Dakota after escaping Minnesota. Didn’t have to travel the same distance you did, but the difference in freedom was massive.
It’s enough to make one want to leave this Communist state and move there, no?
Yes, but not easy to leave everything behind. Very tired of the California Karens.
We are looking at Florida after the 3 week visit. May live there for 1 month in February. If not for the weather I would already be there. Perhaps keep my California place, spend the 4-5 months there, pay no taxes and enjoy Florida.
See you all in D.C. on the 6th, we get in on the 5th, staying near the ward, patriots around?
Wharf, near the Wharf.
See you at the Capital on the 6th.
Pray about it. God will make it happen.
I left everything when I left California.
I had a 3-room office and business in a retail center, I sold my fancy sportscar, left all my office equipment (large copier, 3 desks and all furniture) right in the office and gave to the next business owner, took about a year and I did come visit to find a place. Then I packed up my pets and moved alone to Arizona, didn’t know one person here but like you it was a place I had just recently visited that I felt such peace here during the visit it beckoned me. For the first week it was a little scary I wondered what am I doing here but the thought of going back was not worth stressing it and I never looked back. My lifelong insomnia left almost immediately.
Every day feels like summer vacation here I love the weather. Calif was actually too cold and damp for me. Do you like the weather in Florida? If so, seriously think about it.
I like you MoniQueMoniCat..You’re a soul sister and an intelligent poster here at TCH…
Welcome to AZ! You’ll love it here. People are, for the most part, much kinder than in CA. And we are much freer here. (Sadly, not quite as free as FL; but then, we do have RINO Ducey for a governor.)
As long as we can keep the cheaters from winning, you’ll find that life is much better here.
Not pay taxes? How does that work? From what I read California is planning to tax you even if you sell out and leave the state permanently. Considering the hell NY put Limbaugh through I have no doubt it will happen. All your money belonger us!
Yes.
Thanks for the update. I’m seriously thinking about moving to FL, and Naples was one of the areas I was looking into (it’s in a heavily Republican county–I want to be surrounded by people who give a crap about freedom)
Collier County is being pushed hard on the face diapers (they voted it in a week or so ago) and the Karens whine in full force (think schools) even though the commenter above didn’t see many face masks in the visits. The surrounding counties are where you want to be. Think Lee county. But, remember, there are patches of Karens in certain areas in SWFL. Sanibel Island is one example, even though Pence likes to go there. Just don’t go anywhere east of a line drawn south from Clewiston.
The bottom line is what SD stated. We have constitutional sheriffs here. In fact, the word I have from close to the top is that if things get real wiggy the sheriffs will literally block the east/west and north/south roads to stop access by the bad guys.
What about Walton and Okaloosa counties in the panhandle?
You should have been in tears when you left Florida.
Happy tears, sad tears.
Commies definitely targeting California.
We escaped in 2004.
Moved to Arizona.
My neighborhood is like Fountain Valley, Calif in the 1970s. No traffic, nice houses, quiet, instead of orange groves we have cactus groves.
Newsome’s got to go!
2004? Oh, you’re an old timer by now. 😉 Two thumbs up on the recruiting.
Always find your posts to be interesting reading with a unique point of view. Keep it up.
Proof that not all local law enforcement are bad guys. It’s the state/fed actors that generally are the problem.
Yes, but did the local leo defend their citizens from the state leos?
There is what determines good guys from bad.
Exactly.
I really really want to give our team the benefit of the doubt that we are learning what it will take to truly withdraw consent… but where were the locals to surround this place and prevent entry? Could the local LEO have tipped them off at least to prepare? we need to start paying them off to give advance notice or something.
The people need to stand in the way – LITERALLY. Sit the heck down in front of these businesses, by the thousands, and bid them adieu or make them act with force to remove people from their Stasi path while we catch it on camera, from every angle, and broadcast every time they try to do something about it. Lets see how that works out for them.
I guess the state police and regulators are “just following orders”???
Interesting point jimincalif.
I wonder how long the State Police will go along with the unlawful BS.
Local LEOs have decided that they no longer want anything to do with enforcing edicts put forth by state officials.
Now the Governors must depend on State LEOs and soon I do think even the State Police will balk.
The State Health Dept has no ability to enforce any of their Stasi type “covid controls” that they insist will “keep us safe”.
No Stasi no power.
Didn’t the State police bail asap out of Portland? I don’t think they wanted any part of a no-win situation.
It requires a state issued license to work in a beauty parlor. If the state pulls your license, I suppose you would have to open shop in your home or something. Maybe just work for straight tips so you are not charging any money for your service. Free cuts, tips accepted. Have a recommended tip sheet on the wall.
The local municipalities should issue licenses to operate businesses. Declare themselves ‘business sanctuaries’. This leaves the state with the issue of how to enforce against a local permit and denies the state taxes. No license, not business taxes.
Meanwhile back in the real world…..
“The US CDC testing guidelines clearly state (Page 38) that the PCR Covid test cannot distinguish between Covid and other viruses. It finds virus fragments that could be Flu, another corona type virus, a dead virus etc. It is not a diagnostic tool.”
Austrian Lawmaker Tests Coca Cola for COVID Infection Before His Colleagues and Drink Tests Positive

So that’s why I felt so funky after drinking a Coke yesterday! 😮 Good thing I only had the 8 oz… guess I better go toss the rest of the pack…
New scientific study shows masks stop most critical thinking! Mask can also be the the evidence of no critical thinking. Read “Danish Mask Study”.
Senator Rand Paul said wearing the mask is like “wearing underwear on your face.”
Face diapers!
You guys are killing it ! ?
I had heard that if the AMA had approved hydroxychloroquine before the vaccine was out, then the pharma companies would have been liable. But soon after the vaccine comes out, AMA approves HCQ. Imagine that!
American Medical Association Approves Hydroxychloroquine – Political Vel Craft
BiG PHARMA = The Naked Empress
… and maybe hold the lamb … just for good measure
It was a goat.
We don’t do vaccines in our house, not for us and not for our pets. I almost died from the SWINE FLU VACCINE and every single cat that I ever had vaccinated died from the very disease each one was vaccinated for. Four were vaccinated, the other 26 never were and most of them lived between 15-22 years.
India has some mixture with zinc and I think HCQ or something like that and it works great. That is what I will use if I ever get COVID. I don’t see how injecting COVID into my system that was incubated in the pus of a lab animal is going to be very healthy.
Such a shame regarding the HCQ…back in January HCQ was raised as a defense to the China virus (hadnt been sjw renamed yet)…inasmuch as they were then comparing the strain to ebola based upon blood type susceptibility…
Watching a news reel on Normandy WWII….what these men saw and that generation experienced…crazy…perhaps creating a virus that wipes out that great generation was the goal…perhaps separating our youth from their grandparents and great grand parents is the goal….because dont the young learn from their forebears???.
As I have stated over and over here…the whole thing sickens me…to the core.
And be a sheep.
nimrod Great POINT

I suggest local food company test their drink – and when it test positive Sue the testing company for libel – saying their product makes covid
Avoid drinking coke and nibbling on papayas with a Kiwi and his sheep?
Do you have a link for this?
Yes, PCR test is the key to the psyop–As Dr. Michael Yeadon (ex-Pfizer Chief Science Officer) has said if want to make this all go away, stop the mass PCR testing of asymptomatic people. He says this is a PCR pandemic/pseudo-pandemic due to false positives from the PCR test. I try to direct people to Jon Rappoport’s blog at nomorefakenews, since he’s done a great job exposing the scam and he’s quick and easy to read.
It’s a “knob test”. This test measures parts of the RNA which are shared by many other viruses.
The “knob” sets the threshold that sets the pass/fail level. So, if you set the knob low enough, say 20%, if you find 20% of the Wuhan Coronavirus RNA sequences then the test comes out positive.
Which is actually a false positive. Ideally, the knob should be set to 90% and then a full in vitro test (3 days) should be done to ensure the validity of the test.
BUT, you see… that would drop the “infection rates” below the necessary “political threshold”.
The Nazis had a Reichstag Fire, the American Progressives have their Wuhan Coronavirus.
I seem to remember once upon a time they used a similar method for voter signature verification. The dial was turned until all voters tested positive.
??
Not ONLY Americans are being targeted. These Communists/Progressives are locking down the entire WORLD. France has protests, Germany has protests, UK has protests against this lockdown of the world. US press is silent. The rest of the world press is just as corrupt as our criminally fake news.
That I would agree with…Covid test not absolute…if you have sniffles, positive covid test….probably designed that way….absolute b.s.
You do not even need to have any symptoms to get a positive test. They can test anything and get a positive. That is why the papaya, coca cola, goat, chicken all tested positive. The Drosten /PCR test is a test for everything. Listen starting at about 6:41 -minutes to this 49 min you tube banned video. Reiner Fuellmich discusses Michael Yeadon, etc
https://newtube.app/user/NoNewAbnormal/nnlPimK
Doctors all over the world speak out about this test, the fact that Sars Cov 2 is mostly a bad flu and easily treatable with Hydroxy and zinc and vitamin D and zpak. Attacks people in nursing homes or at home in part because of low Vitamin D levels. They just get fired or silenced by usually, Google/Facebook/twatter and all mainstream media from any source in any country across the world.
If businesses can operate under the protective umbrella of a non-enforcing Sheriff department, as apparently is the case in Riverside County, CA, then each business may open, close, or modify operating procedures as they desire. Those businesses that reject patrons will see their business go to fully open places, which is how it should be. Free to choose. Those who end up losing their livelihoods because they fully complied or were naturally so fearful can look upon it as a genuine natural calamity of their own choosing. Those who manage through it can look back and see it as a close brush with totalitarianism. If all perish from the disease regardless, then it was all moot to begin with.
What the fearful try to do is narc on the places that are open.
Sort of like the school lunch program. The kids felt bad about getting singled out as poor.
The solution was to give EVERYBODY free lunch.
It’ll sure be something if the Second Revolution is born in California…
Action requires motivation. Discomfort causes complaints, but it does not move to action, for action is often times rewarded with dislocation or worse. Why choose a fate worse than the situation provides? Ergo, the Left can always turn the screws slowly over time to achieve that which they desire…so long as the floor of the economy doesn’t fall out from the bottom, which is traditionally their obstacle (it’s the perpetual motion machine of authoritarian philosophy–doomed to never be achieved).
Imagine sculpting a tree. If you want the branches to flow a certain way, you bind them gently and the tree grows accordingly. If you force it to its breaking point, well, it breaks. You can only go so far. Trees take a while to grow, so you can’t shape one without patience. Impatience results in failure. Leftys are genetically impatient, but collectively they persist over generations, so the movement persists even while the perps try their darnedest at every turn.
So, yes, California is a breeding ground for rebound. Perhaps not total, but a start.
Yes!!!!! As a former Californian, I can attest to the fact that California was once very conservative (think Reagan!). The Democrats/Socialist/Marxists/Globalists/Satanists have tightened the screws on Californians one too many times and people are sick to death of it. I would LOVE to see Californians throw off their tyrannical government! WOOHOO!!!!
Agreed! I went to school in CA back in the early 90s. Otherwise, have lived next door in AZ. Visit CA every few years, and have been astounded at the long slow decline, from a garden state to slum cities.
It’s almost like the residents can’t see their own decay—otherwise, why keep voting for more of the same? They’re like a frog in a pot, failing to notice that the heat is being turned up beneath them. Soon they will be nothing but dinner for the leftist devourers.
Sad to watch the decline; but you can’t tell many of them, they just won’t hear it. They refuse to believe their own lying eyes.
It sure would be something, but I’m not sensing it from the people I know. When someone makes a comment about Gruesome, I suggest they download and sign the recall petition. Most of them look at me like I’m nuts. At least that’s what I think they are thinking, hard to tell when most of their face is covered with a diaper.
If there wasn’t rampant election cheating in the blue strongholds we may have already seen a revolt on election night.
Think about it.
The free speach movement started at Berkeley.
In Texas, when there dry counties, establishments could work around the sales law by operating as a club. Joining the club was as simple as writing your name in the registry book. Perhaps the hair salons could use a similar workaround…
I remember my first experience at one of those places. I walked in, it looked like a regular bar. I paid a “membership fee” (cover charge.) I took a seat, and the barkeep asked me, “Are you Mr. Smith or Mr. Jones?”
“Huh?” says I brilliantly. I then saw that every bottle behind the bar had a strip of masking tape on it, and on each strip was either the name “Smith” or the name “Jones,” and I twigged instantly. “Jones!” I called out proudly. “Mr. Jones, yes that’s me.”
Welcome back, Mr. Jones,” the barkeep said. “What’ll you have?”
“The usual,” I said. “Double shot of Crown.”
This was back in the mid-60’s, in Oklahoma, when we still had “near beer.”
Oops, correction. Mid-80’s, not mid-60’s.
Our moose lodge was like that. Though getting supplied was a chore in a p.o.v. same with the v.fn.w.
One wonders how long before there is a run on roofing tacks near state centers of vehicles…
Right along with what I just posted and less risky me thinks.
Oooohhh so many fun ideas out there!! Seriously though, if Americans decide to #resist, it will be devastating for the swamp creatures and such great entertainment for the rest of us! Instead of being stressed out, we should have as much fun as possible thwarting their devious efforts. Kind of like when we used to go out and tee pee a house in high school or stick stinky cheese in the heating system near the principal’s office… LOL.
This is the action that will Newsome downfall. He is about to run smack into a wall of pushed off people with pure violence on their minds.
California is way past time for full on shooting match
People defecate on the streets in less affluent cities in California. Maniac Newsome and the one before him, let’s just say DEMOCRATS caused the downfall of one of the most primo real estate in the land. Dems ruined California.
THEY DON’T ARREST PEOPLE FOR DEFECATING ON THE STREET BUT WATCH OUT IF YOU RUN A BEAUTY SALON!
Stay in your house. Meanwhile illeagal’s are filling the hospital’s.
Don’t stop illegal immigration because it’s mean or something.
But you staying in your house shows you care.
So, there was a bakery and a restaurant next door to each other. The restaurant had outdoor tables which were taped off so no one could sit at them. A couple goes into the bakery and buys danish and coffee. They leave the bakery, step over the tape and sit at the neighboring restaurant tables. The authorities fined the bakery owner! If we don’t start chasing these bureaucrats down the street with bats and pitchforks, this is only going to get worse for us. Running to another state is not solving the problem. Idaho is having issues. These people will not stop. They are power hungry jerks. Remember, they flood into the Red States.
I read the media story from the fox affiliate, but I couldn’t find anything regarding.that the local LE or prosecutors wouldn’t comply. Did I miss something, or is that in the FB post. I don’t have a FB account.
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. (KTXL) — A Stockton hair salon that was the focus of an enforcement visit for COVID-19 restrictions by the Department of Consumer Affairs will not be facing any charges from the county.
The San Joaquin County District Attorney said they, “as well as local law enforcement”, had no involvement in the incident.
https://fox40.com/news/local-news/san-joaquin-county-das-office-says-no-involvement-in-raid-on-stockton-hair-salon/
Thanks. For some reason it didn’t load up on my cell when I first read it. I just saw the pic and the FB link right below it.
Glad to see the locals tell the state to pound sand.
This dispute about local vs state jurisdictions does not end the legal problems fior the owners.
Their licences, permits, insurance are under comnunist control.
Continuing and compounding fines and legal fees.
What a mess.
What’s the penalty for operating without a license? And, if the license is revoked for reasons not written by the Legislature, how is it revoked? Who enforces operating without a license? If it’s the same entity that refused to enforce in the first place, would appear that the enforcing entity stand shoulder to shoulder with the penalized business. Makes one wonder about federal immigration law being rejected by states and munis.
Silly me.
I was thinking like a law-abiding citizen instead of an insurrectionist.
Not quibbling.
You say a law abiding citizen has legal problems? How so? He obeyed. Where’s the problem?
Maybe he obeyed the jurisdiction with the more favorable interpretation of law when another was taking a more restrictive interpretation. No different than my question above: what happens when a guy follow the law as enforced but interpreted differently by another jurisdiction? Thus, my question as to who really enforces?
If I write the law but someone else enforces, do I enforce when they don’t? Makes for a problem. But, within problems, the kernels of solutions are born. This kind of mess makes for business casualties and also gives guidance for clarity in forthcoming laws–or not, and it devolves into mayhem.
We’re a litigious society under state boards that create licensing restrictions by the dozens. Licensing should be a safety feature ONLY–quality is left to the buyer and industry organizations.
Licensing and safety regulations must be impartial, clear, and universal in application. Thus, a movie theater owner can interpret the law just as a salon owner can, and they can make modifications to their different venues in such a way that compliance with health regulations can be met while still operating. For example, if 6 feet is the magic number, then 6 feet it is. No one need calculate population density in the building if that is governed by the fire marshal and the 6 foot rule is in effect. Voila! Anyone can operate if they adhere to that rule. Gone is the “you’re in, you’re out” crap. Business won’t have legal troubles to anywhere near the degree causing concern presently.
So stay open and don’t pay the fees. What are they going to do then?
“So stay open and don’t pay the fees. What are they going to do then?
*****
Don’t know CA law but if they want to play rough, they will seize bank accounts and other assets for non payment of fees and fines. I think this is the strategy the Biden ATF will use to start firearm confiscation; AR/AK pistols will be the first target.
Y’know, I’m remembering the Bundy ranch and all the thousands of people who showed up to drive Bureau of Land Management off… and I’m thinking that if the government decides to go to that length, well, then the rebellion might just stop waiting around on someone to tell us what to do…
The fibbies infiltrated the Bundy’s who seemed successful at first. Another overreach by the fibbes occurred in Oregon (again with some Mormon Church members involved). Lavoy Finicum was murdered by the Fibbies and all of The Bundy Family were arrested and sent to prison by corrupt courts. Only the Presidency of Donald Trump saved these families although no one has paid for shooting Lavoy Finicum in cold blood.
In NJ, the Gym that has been defying Gov. Murphy has $1 million+ in fines now as the state is determined to make an example out of them.
Applaud them for taking a stand against tyranny.
How about removing the masks as an added bonus?!
I wonder if the ‘Sanctuary State’ even sees the irony of a local government refusing to enforce the state’s policies they consider unjust?
wonder if we could get passports from florida – and while in other states tell them we are mask free citizens??
Holy cow, that’s a good point. The hypocrisy never ends, esp. in the Golden State.
Meanwhile on the opposite side of the country, the exact opposite occurs with a severely handicapped child…

I honestly don’t want people from LA county moving to The OC.
OTOH, I’m up here in the Puget Sound. The hysteria up here, the
newspropaganda on TV is MUCH worse than in SoCal. It’s frickin’ nuts.We went for a walk and many people are wearing masks outdoor. They are nuts.
That’s pretty much the scene in much of OC. I ride my bike around Lake Forest, Irvine, Newport and Huntington Beaches, Costa Mesa, etc. Irvine pedestrians even walking solo or walking their dog, probably 90% masked. Probably 50% at the beach. I saw a surfer standing behind his parked car, peeling off his wetsuit, wearing a mask.
It absolutely breaks the heart, doesn’t it? What happened to the self-reliant, free-thinking Americans of old?
Makes me think of the George Carlin quote:
“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize that half of them are stupider than that.”
It’s funny because it’s true. Painfully so.
Tony, I was on Orcas Island in August. I wore my mesh mask into a little shop in Eastsound. The shop owner came out, took one look at me and asked “what kind of mask is that?”, as she back away from me like I was Freddie Kruger. It really struck me funny and that made her even angrier.
Days later I was hiking in the Mount Baker wilderness. Other hikers were wearing masks, out in the freaking wilderness. One of them flattened themself against the side of the mountain like a cartoon character as we passed on the trail. I would have said “boo”, but I might have been thrown off a cliff. Yikes!
So glad I live in Florida.
I am far removed from Puget Sound. In troo bloo Maryland, I saw my next door neighbor a few days ago, chipping ice in his driveway by himself with an approved faucistrap on! Must be a democrud.
I hike in western NC and anywhere near Asheville people will pull a mask if they see you coming. OMG, I have even seen people jogging with masks on. Mostly is people in their 20’s. WTF is wrong with the younger generation?
Maroons apparently brainwashed by teachers.
Can the Sheriff deputize members of society so the State has no recourse?
Yes. During the heaviest spell of rioting this summer we heard this:
If we can’t handle you, I’ll exercise the power and authority as the sheriff, and I’ll make special deputies of every lawful gun owner in this county and I’ll deputize them for this one purpose: to stand in the gap between lawlessness and civility.
– Sheriff Grady Judd, Clay County, Florida.

It’s the state of CA that oversees and regulates beauty and barber shops.
I was a 56 year CA resident. I escaped from CA on 6/1/2018. I went back for several days over Christmas and returned to NV yesterday. I visited friends and relatives including those in their 80’s and 90’s without a mask. I offered to wear one for the older folks and they all said no. One friend I visited, age 58 (same as me) was/is completely terrified. I’ve known him 40 years and I was shocked. He is a very bright guy, definitely not a liberal, but woefully uninformed. The visit and conversation were more important than the mask issue so I didn’t push it given my limited time with him.
Lastly, and this broke my heart, I saw all the restaurants in various cities that invested in outdoor seating who now can’t use it. And the local county enforcers are telling them that when it is unused they have to remove their very expensive tenting until they are open again. At a friend’s restaurant, in business over 40 years, they are down to less than 10% of their normal volumes on just take out. Interestingly, I saw a lot of people eating in their cars. My friend and his partners will survivein part because they own their building outright but I feel trendous pain for all the other businesses being told to “take one for the team” by people still collecting paychecks.
My parting thought is that I’m wondering how much trouble one could get into, assuming one gets caught, for slashing the tires of the vehicles used by the enforcement people who are just following orders? I’m thinking about Cloward and Pivening the agencies with vehicle damage that will lessen their ability to move about.
I’m sorry but my paragraphs disappeared.
Hit the return key twice to get space between paragraphs 🙂
Hi DonnyVee,
Thanks for your ground report post. As for paragraph posting, try using two blank lines/spaces between paragraphs instead of just one.
I know I sit for hours in my car just killing time.
What else am I to do if I just want to get out of the house for a while and have already been outside walking around etc.
No joke my seat has @ss prints in it.
“…My parting thought is that I’m wondering how much trouble one could get into, assuming one gets caught, for slashing the tires of the vehicles used by the enforcement people who are just following orders?…”
They’ll probably charge you with attempted murder.
They can’t do shit. It takes years for administrative law cases. The only threat is revoking a license and potential fines.
Then they might get a sympathetic Admin Law Judge. Only the most egregious offenses, like performing mammograms without a license, result in big buck fines.
The only law enforcement involved would be for protection of the state officer. The Food and Drug inspectors are armed, as a Bay Area meat producer went postal during an inspection.
I point out every exemption and path of resistance, but to no avail.
Except my local convenience store where management lets us remove the masks.
I just tell them I can’t wear a mask. It’s number 3, in the exemption to the California mask order.
If they refuse, I shop elsewhere.
Fight!
i know local law enforcement in that area of California. They’re actually busy with the real crime and have no time, interest, or enthusiasm playing nanny state for Governor Nuisance.
Blurring the tools of the state’s faces so they can remain “safe.”
The beatings will continue until moral improves.
About Time We shake this Flea Off Our Backs…
If these fascist actions keep taking place in California, the democrat vote out there may even fall to 65%.
With Dominion Voting machines, Drats can always win no matter how shit they are.
Dominion voting is world wide. In some countries it has a different name but the results are the same Communism wins.
Many California counties use Dominion voting systems. I don’t know for how long. CA used to vote republican. I lived and worked in CA for 28 years and don’t think it is as liberal as the vote shows. I suspect cheating has been going on there for some time.
Michael, OANN out out an electoral map of the USA that showed President Trump with 410 electoral votes, prior to the SCYTL servers changing the vote. I have a screen shot. California is RED. As is the majority of the country. I believe you are correct. They have been telling us that we are in a minority & we are not. This is confirmed on craighuey.com’s site – look for pgs. 6, 7,8 on his church ballot harvesting document. Craig Huey was saying that if the evangelists in the Central Valley got up & voted, that we would turn California red. And we did! In the deluge of proof that the elections were fraudulent, someone stated that in the counties with higher numbers of conservatives, the machines were programmed to return a higher percentage of liberal votes.
Want to point out that King County Washington went from electing their sheriff to having them appointed by the county executive with approval of the King county council.Only county in the state to appoint their sheriff. All other counties are elected. Two amendments recently passed. Amendment 5 elections to appointments. And amendment 6 reducing sheriff power and duties.
King County surrounds Seattle so no surprise there at all. Baltimore County surrounds Baltimore City so that county has been steadily deteriorating into the same leftwing corrupt government and culture as the city. Communism is a metastatic cancer that spreads if it’s not cut out.
Sounds a little unlawful.
The Sheriff has vast powers because he is an elected law enforcement. The definition is no longer Sheriff in my opinion.
When they piss off the women because they can not get to the beauty boutique, shute is about to get real
Just keep showing the government lackeys with fresh perms, and the women will take care of the revolution I promise.
I told my wife (ONCE) she could not get a hairdo and her nails done. I learned my lesson real fast. Even the dog and cat were ready to evict me.
I feel they pick on Beauty Salons because they see it as, usually, an easy target.
Someone needs to pass a law that Beauty Salons are essential for women. By July last year I had had it!
I was tired of looking like an extra in a Mad Max Movie! I went to a salon when they finally opened and said, “give me the works”. This is a women’s mental health issue!
Somebody should have real quick added Pelosi to their appointment book. See what the enforcement people would have done with that.
I wonder where Newsome gets his hair “done.”
After his French Laundry restaurant dining fiasco last month, I’m sure he’s discretely using the backdoor of whatever barber shop he goes to. Or more likely, he’s having the barber come to him. It didn’t happen if you don’t get caught.

“The California state regulatory authorities raid a beauty salon citing COVID compliance demands; however, the local authorities refuse to cooperate with the state intent.”
An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, but one whose way is straight is an abomination to the wicked.
– Proverbs 29:27
So, let me get this straight. Professional and non-professioanl sports teams can play touch sports but we can’t get our hair cut or eat out.
Am I getting this wrong?
You are not an elite with a bag of money to hand out.
You are not wrong.
i think these business owners need better guidance on how to combat the fines etc.. if they defy the shutdown order.
i have several restaurants and know salons that want to stay open and fight but they are scared because they are either misinformed or don’t understand the laws.
For restaurants for example , the health dept can take away their license but if law enforcements don’t enforce they can still continue to remain open? what about levied fines by the city ? what if they don’t pay those fines stay open will they eventually be able to fight this in a local court ? or even need to hire legal counsel ?
so much legalese it’s very hard to follow and if i was a business owner i’d be very hesitant myself to stand up and fight until i understood all the ins and outs or pros and cons on how it can play out.
correction “i have several restaurant friends…”
AM790 radio show John Philipps, someone called in & said that they work in showbiz. That they get tested five times a week. What on earth for? So which other industries are being used to drive the case numbers up?
Many colleges require students to be tested at least once a week.
I work in an in patient mental health hospital – we are all tested once a week.
This madness needs to end…now.
Perhaps the businesses within a given area should get together and declare an “autonomous zone.” Seemed to work in Seattle.
They are doing that in the RED NYC areas, where they are being singled out for closures.
Rush got crucified for using the “secession” word on his show a few weeks back. But your suggestion is exactly what he was talking about…basically saying “we don’t recognize your authority here.”
The problem or crux of this is the term civilian populace. Anyone and anybody that works or is on the government dole uses the term civilian population.
The law enforcement is horrible about this.
They are about to find out how civil we are.
They believe that government job entitles them, and that is the problem in a nut shell.
Trump is right they’re after us! Small business is America we voted for Trump and now it’s time for their retribution. Fight back throw your masks out open your business’s rebrand your establishment as a strip club, do whatever, they can’t throw everybody in the gulag. LIVE FREE OR DIE!
Have a relative who lives in the Sacramento area. She just told us that she visited her nail salon today “quietly”. The place looks closed — windows blacked out. But by communicating via phone/text, an appointment can be made…she shows up and texts that she’s there…is let in…and gets her stuff done.
It’s one at a time….and she reports that the place enforces masks and other hygiene practices.
Of course here in TN, we don’t have that situation, similar to FL. Well…except in the Marxist enclaves of Nashville and Memphis 🙂
Love the tail-dragger! I miss flying 2-seaters. Like a roller coaster.
speak-easy for hair cuts LOL
Gov. Newsome has GOT TO GO!
Intellect without Faith is a useless appendage.
I have zero religious faith, yet find my intellect quite handy in creating a very successful happy life.
Careful about generalisations, Admin allows counter assertions these days and that has been known to offend theists.
If we did a good act merely from the love of God and a belief that it is pleasing to Him, whence arises the morality of the Atheist? It is idle to say, as some do, that no such thing exists. We have the same evidence of the fact as of most of those we act on, to wit: their own affirmations, and their reasonings in support of them.
I have observed, indeed, generally, that while in Protestant countries the defections from the Platonic Christianity of the priests is to Deism, in Catholic countries they are to Atheism. Diderot, D’Alembert, D’Holbach, Condorcet, are known to have been among the most virtuous of men. Their virtue, then, must have had some other foundation than love of God. – Thomas Jefferson, letter to Thomas Law, June 13, 1814
I have known godless liberals who often times act more Christian than some Christians I know. So, leaving aside the issue of the afterlife, you have a valid point.
That said, I always find it interesting when these people feel the need to toot their own horn on how much more righteous and moral they are because they do so without a fear of God…while simultaneously scoffing at the Christian Church, which teaches the very traits that they claim to be so superior in posssessing.
One would think they would be supportive of a universal initiative that promotes the very traits that they pride themselves as being so proficient in.
“toot their own horn on how much more righteous and moral they are because they do so without a fear of God…while simultaneously scoffing….”
Try again, I’m not the one who said without evidence, that intellect is useless without faith. Toot? Scoff? Superior? So many straw men in one paragraph. 🙂 Many theist are very fragile when their proclamations are mildly and politely disagreed with.
Sorry, that’s gobbledegook to me. The deleted posts were more interesting.
So Newsome thinks commie insurrections by black lives matter and antifa are A-ok even if they burn down the hillsides. But not allow beauty salons?
He is really out of line. The people of California should rise up against him.
We in Arizona aren’t much better, we’ve got that nut that allows election fraud–> Gov Doug Ducey and a Mayor who is la raza so we may have to rise up against them soon too, we have some kind of CURFEW going on here. I think he used election fraud to get into office himself.
Many months ago Polk County NC sheriff sent out a letter to news agencies that he was not going to enforce any State of NC (Governor Cooper) China Virus dictates that were not passed by the Legislature into Law. He has kept his word. Promises made and Kept.
for whatever reason those people have chosen to live there. in making that choice they’ve agreed to obey the laws of the state
let me check my Give a Damn. nope, still busted
You’re assuming their votes have not been stolen from them. You should not make that assumption, especially in CA.
allow me to try again, palafox –
people living in or moving to california know what they’re getting into. and while i’ll grant there’s probably massive cheating going on, everyone also knows it’s a heavily Democrat state. the issues most of them favor are going to be law of the land and as a lawful citizen they’re obligated to obey the law.
so if your gov tells you not to be open, wear masks, or what have you … you’ve chosen to live there. so to me it’s a case of you made your bed, so lay in it. don’t cry to me because you live in a D state, with D politicians, passing D laws.
if you (California citizen) didn’t know all of this, before moving or while staying, you’re stupid and shouldn’t be allowed to birth children.
and don’t think you can move to Oklahoma. we don’t want you spending any of nastiness on our good people.
stupid people live in stupid states. good people live in good states. i actually think that’s like a federal mandate or something. 🙂
What law would that be,
“they’ve agreed to obey the laws of the state”
all the ones passed on a Thursday
Something similar has happened in Virginia where most sheriffs in the state refuse to enforce draconian and unconstitutional gun laws passed by the state legislature.
Central Coast of California in the North County cities, our city council voted 5-0 to not enforce stay at home order.
Our sheriff and police said they are not enforcing it either. Said it is unconstitutional. Restaurants open even some inside. Everything open pretty much. Lots of Trump supporters here.
50/50 masks. mostly from tourists. South county closed down from the city enforcers. Way more liberal but same county.
I’m from South County, and yes we have the progressive flu down here. But even so people are congregating and most businesses that are open aren’t enforcing customer limits. There are a few folks that are foolish enough to wear masks outside, but many more breathing free air. Lots of parents and kids at local parks playing, no masks. The restaurant business is hard hit, but our prog mayor and city council keep chirping about how we’re all in this together. Well no, we are not. YOU are still getting a paycheck. I hope this wakes up enough folks to bin these nidiots.
LOOTING is A-okay in Newsome’s California.
Rioting too.
Just not hair salons!
Maps cut through the noise.
Try and stay on topic.
This is a COVID-19 “funds” map … did you notice … COVID-19
If the police keep this up, they won’t have to worry about any popular #defund movements. They will defund themselves by destroying the tax base that pays them.
A man can be a lover of liberty or he can be a democrat, but he can’t be both…. except in the usual way: with a forked mouth. The spirit of liberty proclaims the survival of all natural born human rights, the main enemy of which has no longer been left to guesswork, but made tremendously definite … the man who loves liberty must fight all who would commit or enable a destruction of the American Republic and its Bill of Rights.. That is the spirit and the natural law of liberty.
The democrats have their beliefs and actions and it is a perfectly definite set, there is no longer any vagueness about it. They command that all people bow to their tyrannical commands at every turn as they do him hurt and threaten his sacred rights with death. Word it as softly as you please, the spirit of the democrats is the spirit of the evil shadowed specter of the Beast of Darkness insidiously billowing in and building and building to ever more horrific heights.
The moment anyone speaks for liberty, see the democrats rise, and see them spit at the liberty loving man from the corner of their twisted forked mouths. The spirit of the democrats being in its nature tyrannical, selfish and vindictive — it is in their line, it comes natural to them — they can fully work up to the tyranny of a Hitler, Stalin, Mao or Mohammad; for the spirit of liberty, indeed of decency itself, has become entirely impossible to them.
I find it disgusting that the needs of so-called public servants and their families are weaponized against the private sector citizens. The cops are “just doing their job,” right? But now their job means enforcing oppression of narcopaths.
At some point, the just have to ask themselves if they want to make a living doing the bedding of fascists and other assorted psychopaths.
There is always the simple question of right and wrong. For what are you willing to take a paycheck? Eventually, they’ll have to address the question of illegal orders, and upon which side do they stand?
The phrase “good Germans” comes to mind.
They may think of themselves as one thing now, only to find out later that they are something else entirely, something much darker.
They forgot to put the pizza boxes up on their windows.
GIT R DONE!
