Huntsville, Alabama. Restaurants open at about 50%. Mask required for entry into most public places. I ate at one country restaurant and they didn’t have a sign. Didn’t bother with a mask.

Sitting here in Florida with my daughter who came in from Chicago which is locked down. She lives down from a local pub and they are making cubicles out of outside seating booths normally only used during nice weather. We’ll have to gout to dinner because mostly everything operating here.

In PA restaurants are supposed to be closed, however, many are defying those orders. I’m meeting a friend on Monday at one of them! Gyms are closed again, but also some are opening anyway. And schools are doing on and off hybrid learning. Private schools are fully in person. My husband and I are starting to experiment with taking our masks off in stores. So far we haven’t had anyone say anything to us. People are very much done with this and starting to push back.

Huntsville Al, not much has changed. Elective surgeries cancelled, more due to staffing issues.

My old fire dept in CA (in riverside county) I have heard stations and battalions getting wiped out due to quarantine issues. A lot of people getting stuck at work.

I think we have a quarantine problem in the country, imagine previous flu seasons if employees were out for 2 weeks if they were simply exposed to someone who tested positive for the flue, despite no symptoms. Also, imagine your doctor just giving you a flu test just because and then that triggering other people needing to quarantine and get a test just because.

L.A. here. You can guess the game they have going. Can’t walk out at night after 10pm or risk getting taken down. San Diego win a court order to open back up, only to have gov Joker Goose’em win at the state SC. I’m so done with Democrats.

Colorado Springs: full stores today when we were out and about. I refused to wear a mask at Walmart, grocery store, Hobby Lobby, Bed Bath, etc. and noticed quite a few people also not wearing them. Not many, 5% maybe. I’m done with that bullshit.

Schools are going back to in person in January. I’ll believe it when I see it. Restaurants no indoor dining after 5pm I think. We don’t eat out much. Everyone knows viruses aren’t contagious after dark.

Glad to see people not wearing masks though. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been a loner in that respect.

Here in northern Vermont there is a mask suggestion/requirement, but I never wear a mask. If somehow our President is cheated out of his election for a second term, I’m moving to Florida or Texas, or some other state within the group of states this likely to become the next United States of America.

Central TX Hays County – we aren’t free contrary to what anyone says. Mask orders in place. We can go where we want, they count us although I haven’t seen any lines outside of restaurants. Most businesses still have restrictions on occupancy – 50 = 75%. There are a lot of Karen’s ready to strike. I will only wear a mask when I need to go into a store and I wear it under my nose. Starting to feel some fatigue on Covid. I also feel it is going to be a big push to get back to normal and we should just say no more BS you are free to choose the end.

Honolulu: Nobody in my neighborhood wears masks. Still, everyone must don one to enter any place of business.
Quarantine reduced from 14 to 10 days. Christmas not (yet) cancelled. I feel like I got a reduced sentence for good behavior or time served.
My son and the “G.F.” must test negative through a “trusted traveler” program prior to boarding a flight from LA to HNL, despite the WHO now saying the PCR test is problematic.

UGGGGG! It is Christmas and I would love to see smiling faces. I went through the drive-thru at the bank with a real teller inside the bank wearing a mask. She took off her mask to sneeze and I said “Bless you”, she looked back at me and smiled and said “Thank you”. She didn’t replace her mask and continued with my transaction while smiling. It was the highlight of my day.

In South Florida we are far more concerned about the Reds than Rona.

there’s some signs on business doors asking customers to wear masks. Court house/goobermint buildings pass them out to us. I did get out of jury duty (trials cancelled) and someone got screwed out of a “quick and speedy trial” they are guaranteed.

Local hospital is maxed out. Neighbor just got over a bad case of Covid-19 and hospital wouldn’t admit him, sent him home. He said pain was so bad at one point he was ready to accept death. He was sick for almost 3 weeks. The local hospital is the last place I want to be if I get Covid-19. My beighbor thinks that’s where he caught it.

Our area (city and county) is about 100,000 and we have over 90 deaths attributed to Covid-19. Well over 100 new cases a day. This is Southside VA. I go grocery shopping about once a week and I very rarely see any of the cashiers more than twice. Lots of turnover in workers.

Here in New Mexico the gubner has slightly lessened our restrictions. Now I do not notice anyone standing in line at Wally World.

California report. Our governor moved the goal post for lockdowns. It is now based on space available in the ER. Doesn’t matter why they are in the ER. Most of the state is now locked down. You need over 15 percent beds empty in the ER. People are tired of this. Businesses are going broke. My wife got her haircut at her salon. Papered over windows, text when you arrive, let you in and lock the door. That is all illegal. We had a nice dinner for the wife’s birthday. We had our choice of inside or outside dining. Great meal, all illegal. Had a nice beer at our local brewery. Order to go and sit at the outside tables in the fancy tents they bought heated by patio heaters. All illegal!.

Virtually nothing statewide in OK. Localities may differ however.

Portland – I just got back from getting takeout at a nice restaurant. The girl said it’s been getting a little busier. Of course there wasn’t anyone actually eating there.

Here in Indiana near S. Bend. Masks required everywhere to enter, but indoor dining is a go. I work at a steel mill, masks required to work, of nearly 400 employees, 89 either have it, or are quarantined from it. I employee died along with his wife, all signs point to and outbreak at mill for their deaths…

I don’t comply. Real simple. I moved to a small, rural town from SF Bay Area. Unfortunately, EVERYONE has bought into the panic porn, in the last month, but they know I am not in. Plus I am a beast, so no one fks with me.

Michigan

Most everything is open (mask wearing compliance) except bars and restaurants.

We just had shutdowns extended to January 15th. The Governor urges we cancel everything and the news drives her message of fear. There is no “science” here, only the Governor picking winners and losers in her “judgement”.

Michigan is a national leader in business losses but no relief on the horizon.

The worst part is that the Michigan GOP that controls both the House and Senate won’t put up a fight. They’re worthless and are called out continuously about it. Very frustrating.

Rural Missouri here. Schools are still in session, the middle schools is running a normal schedule the high school is alternating days. My wife is a substitute teacher so she is getting lots of days as various teachers get quarantined, lot of quarantines she hasn’t heard of anyone getting sick. No lockdowns or mask mandates. businesses are all open. The larger neighboring town has a city level mask mandate. About 80% of the people wear them. I don’t. Yesterday I shopped at 3 places with no mask, no one asked me to put one on. My son goes to college there, it is still in session, they enforce the mask, he wears it.

I’m in Arizona and this is the first I’ve heard of having to shrink any circles. Aside from the local media pushing Fear of the new “surge” as much as they can, nothing seems much different around here Covid-wise compared to the last few months.

Sulphur La here and I never see anyone wearing a mask, even though we have lots of contractors and roofers walking through daily. Telephone man does not order anything online now, he wanders through aisles at the store just to get a few items (he so misses shopping and seeing others) and he tells me everyone is carrying a mask around showing it off…but no one wears it/the mask is not properly covering everything but the eyes…Haha

Clark County Nevada here. 85 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Governor Sisolak, worst Governor ever #WGE still has us under emergency order after 10 months. Currently, he has mandated 25% for restaurants, bars, casinos, etc. He just lost a lawsuit brought on by Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley in the 9th Circuit. No longer can he arbitrarily pick a number out of his backside and effectively close churches. The worst he can do is limit size to 25% of code. However, he cannot make it worse than any other business. My church was the alternate plaintiff for the lawsuit. Calvary Chapel had the better situation for the suit but we were the second choice out of 200 churches interested in bringing the suit.

In our community, the vote went 64% Trump. The locals are fed up with Sisolak but we still have sheep running around with masks outdoors and in cars. But we also have businesses that are standing up. Governor Sisolak sent the state OSHA to fine businesses $10,000 and more for not forcing people to wear masks. The businesses are fighting back and winning since OSHA does not have the proper mandate to be used as a police force.

The locals are supporting the businesses and many are now speakeasy establishments that do not require masks.

Here in NC our Democrat Governor Cooper who was just re-elected (I believe via electronic vote manipulation) has just issued a curfew from 10 p.m. -5 a.m. Masks are still required indoors, including at gyms during your workouts. I refuse to comply with this mandate, so I have stopped going to the gym. I notice gym attendance has really dropped based on cars in the lot. I’ve dabbled in not wearing a mask at grocery stores. It is easier to ignore the mask requirements when we are at the beach or in rural areas that are deeper red. In those neighborhoods I consider the norm to be “mask optional “. I strongly believe we need to ignore all ridiculous orders.

New Mexico here, one of the very worst States for draconian rules, and no schools. Yes, I have listened in to the 8 minute online “classes” of my 17 yr old granddaughter (special ed), no teaching, but regular Trump bashing. They asked her what she wanted for her Finals…. She chose “rounding” and rounded 7 up to 10, etc. She passed! How about that?!
However, I have not missed a day of work all year, have worked much overtime, and I do not know or care if our business is “essential”…. It’s essential to my fellow employees, bosses and customers :o)

Unchanged lockdown now for many months here in WA state. Sadly, the recent college grads I know are very compliant, to the point where they will decline the invitation to the annual family Christmas celebration. Many 60+ year olds hold the same outlook. Luckily, the 80+ year olds see they have more to gain than lose by gathering with family.

Writing from my semi-rural NY suburb about 50 miles north of Manhatto.
Between DelAssholio and Killer Cuomo, NY City is just about on its last legs. They have utterly destroyed the three most important money makers: restaurants, retail and tourism.
The bright lights of Broadway are shut off indefinitely. Many store windows are still boarded up. Everyone walks around with a mask, regardless of the weather. The whole city looks like a bad science fiction movie set.

Here’s an example of just how insane it has gotten. The other day I watched this girl sitting on a bench eating a slice of pizza. She had a muzzle on up to her eyeballs that she pulled down so she could take a bite of the pizza. Then she quickly pulled it right back up again. I stood there and watched her, thinking that this is the end of civilization as we know it.
Here’s a pro tip from a lifelong New Yorker- the City is not coming back in my lifetime, if at all. For some reason the two sociopaths in charge are determined to burn it to the ground then salt the earth. (figuratively speaking). It just goes to show the kind of Satanic evil that exists in the hearts of the Commie DemonRats who get power. No term limits for Killer Cuomo either.
Where I live, outside of the City, it is much, much better because we have our own homes and cars. My town is Trump Country and there are still MAGA signs around. None of the others.
The only time I wear a mask is if I absolutely have to, especially if it’s in a local small business. The health department is the new Gestapo and they are trying to shut down our local delis in the worst way. So to keep the guys in business, I don’t mind wearing a mask for the couple of minutes it takes me to run in and out. I pretty much never go to the Big Box stores which are horrible.
Even with the vaccine there is no end in sight and I believe that things are going to get worse. Killer Cuomo is threatening to do another Lock Down and that will be the end for many businesses that are on life support.

My only hope is that our President Trump gets inaugurated on January 20th and busts this thing wide open.

NYC Restaurants to Ban Cuomo from Dining

Got a good report from my son this afternoon. He was shopping in Oregon City/Damascus, OR (neighboring towns to Portland) area with stops at Hobby Lobby and Fred Meyer (a big chain grocery/housewares stores).

He said as he came in the door, he noticed someone without a mask, so decided to check out the possibilities. Took his mask off and stuck it in his pocket. Went about his shopping for the normal amount of time. He said he directly engaged with 6-7 different employees and not one of them reacted to him being maskless. Same thing when he was checking out via the self-checkout and the oversight person had to help with some coupons. Face to face conversation and no comment.

He was pleasantly startled by the whole thing. Made a mental note to have a one-liner ready for future encounters along the lines of a casual smile and an encouraging, “Nice to see you have your face on!” or something like that.

At the least, it sounds like Fred Meyer mgmt has told their employees it’s not worth fighting about any more??? Maybe folks are taking a hint from Washington State freedom-lovers? Dunno.

Had email exchange with a friend in SoCal today. She said all the small businesses are locked down tight, and the large stores/shopping centers are absolutely jammed with customers wall-to-wall. Said she doesn’t believe the stats any more. At all.

She said that Lancaster (their high desert town – the Antelope Valley) is in the process of trying to get free of the Los Angeles County Health Department because of all the problems it is causing. Maybe there are some freedom-minded people involved with that effort. I don’t know any more than her brief report.

Regardless of how the details play out, none of us will ever forget what they have done to our nation and to millions of small business owners. Never forget. They need to be punished.

I Relocated from California in November and have been wandering around the state looking for where I wanna drive stakes.
I’ve been in fort Meyers, Jupiter/Juno/Palm. Now I’m on the space coast.
Florida is open and that’s a damn good thing. Desantis was smart cuz had he not kept it open, the economy would be in really bad shape.
US Snowbirds are staying out and Canadians can’t come (the government told them they won’t cover them if they get sick with Covid). It’s QUIET.
But at least these folks have a fighting chance.
Masks, hand sanitizer etc. but nothing draconian or oppressive.
Honestly, I see that people are naturally quarantining. The old folks are staying away. The young people are out.

Michigan
The order, which is effective Dec. 21-Jan. 15, allows in-person learning in high schools and it reopens casinos, bowling alleys and movie theaters with limitations (capacity of 100, no concessions).
Michigan High School Athletic Association and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services are going to allow high school sports to resume Monday – as schools break for winter holidays.
According to information released by the MHSAA, the MDHHS announced a pilot rapid testing program that will allow football, volleyball and girls swim and dive seasons to wrap up their tournaments.  
Practice would resume Monday. Our own local HS coach remarked, “I will do whatever the kids, whatever the team wants to do, whatever is required. Frankly, I don’t think this is a sound idea. We’ve done nothing for five weeks, our locker room is winterized. To hop out in the middle of winter, begin practice and try to put together a team to play in two weeks just doesn’t seem safe,” Palka said.
In addition, he’s not sure which coaches and players will be available for practice as the holidays begin. Palka and his staff are planning to reach out to members of the team to see who’s available to begin practicing.
Now remember TYPICALLY we are out for Christmas (they call it winter break) by then. So now she says we can have fall sports. And we can have 2 families for Christmas.
NO indoor fitness. Ok great, we can work out in the snow and freezing temperatures.
All of this totally insane. Still no restaurants open except for pick-ups.
I just returned tonight from visiting family and ate out every day, it was wonderful.

Common sense has been destroyed by some unknown disease – God help us.

• Delaware: Businesses above 100,000 square feet are limited to 20 percent of stated fire capacity.
• All other businesses, including most retail stores and all restaurants, are limited to 30 percent of stated fire capacity.
• Retail below 5,000 square feet, all Houses of Worship, and funeral services are limited to 40 percent of stated fire capacity.
• A 10 p.m. curfew will be imposed at Delaware restaurants and bars. **Restaurants can deliver past 10 p.m.
• Exercise classes at gyms are limited to 10 people and individuals who are not part of the same 1 way in and 1 way out. Customers must remain at least 13 feet apart during classes.
• Indoor gatherings at businesses or indoor spaces open to the public must be limited to the lesser of 30 percent of the venue’s stated fire capacity, or 10 people.

Masks needed for every store. Boscov’s limiting people in store to 450 and lines form outside. 1 way into stores and 1 way out in stores with multiple doors. People must stand 6 ft. apart in check out lines. Everyone still pleasant, polite, and strike up conversations while shopping. Every employee helpful, relaxed, polite. I wish all Merry Christmas and always get a smile (behind the mask) and a Merry Christmas back.

Free in Florida: Thank god we have a great Governor!

Here in NJ just a few miles from Ian Smith’s gym, the bravest small business owner in the country. Oddly we can still dine out, small businesses mostly open.
Vaccine seems to be wildly unpopular, over 70% of NJ residents refuse to cooperate with contract tracers, majority seems to be sick and tired of anything Covid. Still a sizable number of willing vaccine takers and those who agree with mask mandates. Reports of mask nazis are rare.
With dozens of long time freinds, family members and some of my gig employers in Pa. I have pretty good feel for Eastern Pa. from Scranton down south of Philadelphia. Strangly more restrictions in pa. currently. In Philly and the surrounding counties a mix of hard core mask/covid nazis to more liberty minded folks. The farther north More liberty minded folks out number the covid nazis at a much higher %. I’m still scheduled to shoot a NYE fireworks show in Bucks county after my NYE show in lehigh county was cancelled by the city, which is very surprising based on current conditions and covid attitudes in Bucks and Lehigh counties.
Overall Eastern Pa. and NJ covid fear is dying quickly and affects much less than 50% of folks in Delaware and Lehigh valleys.

Here in Central PA it’s hit or miss… we have diners in town that defy every order, stay open and are not being harassed by the COUP-19 Gestapo… so I’ll just go right ahead and assume they’re payin’ off someone… so basically, It’s business as usual but some people are wearing masks and some aren’t.
