♦ Either Bill Barr is unwilling to steer the DOJ during a time of election challenge and turmoil…

♦ By resigning Bill Barr just inoculated himself from criticism if he was to support the DOJ findings of election investigations from outside offices.
Given Bill Barr’s history of conduct in the DOJ approach to the Flynn case (cowardice), the former seems most likely.
It also does not seem coincidental this resignation decision was reached on the same day the Daily Mail published a highly critical article about Bill Barr’s decision-making during the 2020 election cycle.
DAILY MAIL – Attorney General Bill Barr used the force of his office to instruct prosecutors investigating Hunter Biden not to take any steps that might cause the probe to be publicly revealed in the run-up to the election.

Sydney Powell needs to be appointed Special Counsel with subpoena power to investigate election fraud and criminality. She could have indictments in 2 weeks. This would drain the swamp and assure that PTrump stops the election from being stolen. No electors are going to vote for an indicted criminal for president. Plus the rats will all be coming out of the woodwork to save their sorry azzes from being indicted. PTrump should have taken this route a year ago.

The first thing I thought about when I heard this was a former NHL coach, Bruce Boudreau. Smart likeable guy, but no matter how good a team he had, he flamed out in the playoffs and had a helpless look on his face as it was happening. He kept getting fired. You felt bad in some ways because you didn’t personally dislike him, but you knew he had to go.
In light of that, I tend to agree with Barnes here instead of Levin. Whether Barr was well meaning or not didn’t help our President one bit.

Different take on this… Barr did his job. He unleashed Durham. Barr is compromised. Trump knows it (and always has). “acting” agency heads are very useful in times like these. Dec 24 will be interesting… you could say biblical.
Yes, he selected Durham. But however much investigating Durham has done, he sure hasn’t done much indicting. Barr even said that the 60-day DOJ rule about not taking actions that could be construed to impact an election didn’t apply to Durham’s investigation because Clueless Joe wasn’t being investigated and the rule only covered those who were running for office. So he held it out there that Durham could have made indictments right up to election day, but of course nothing happened. Yet Barr seems to have applied that 60-day rule to the investigations of Hunter. Heck, he began applying that rule all the way back last Spring. And then he made Durham a “special counsel” to “protect” his investigation, knowing full well that the statutes require special counsels to be from outside the federal government. Schiff has already said Durham’s appointment will be challenged in court as soon as the new session of Congress begins next month. So Barr’s appointment of Durham will go away and Durham’s investigation itself will go away as soon as they swear in Biden. Barr knows all this. He would not have resigned if he thought there was any chance PT will succeed challenging the election results. Pray he is wrong and PT succeeds.
Barr did do the right thing regarding Mueller. After all, he committed to that when he was nominated to be AG. But aside from that, I don’t see he has really done anything other than protect the Swamp.

All that turd had to do was write a letter citing the President’s accomplishments to get the “nice Meeting” stamp of approval from the President.
I doubt very much that it was a “nice” meeting. After what the President has been through with Barr, I doubt there was anything nice about the showdown in the Oval Office.
There were rumors the last meeting they had before this one was, shall we say, tense.

I believe trump has the ability to temporarily appoint someone. Rosen may just be a quick placeholder. Keep in mind all the top dogs we would like to see in that role are pretty busy on the battle field already. This may have come up quickly. It is even possible that Trump has Guided Mitch to declare a real recess. Mitch’s hands would be clean then…. did we ever figure out if Mitch’s Wife or Father in law are on THE list?
By the way the minute Trump calls on the big guns expect Big Tech and the Chinese to shut down the internet. I am guessing there is a lot of effort being done now to attempt to secure it. Wisdom, Courage and Serenity my friends.

I believe that they picked Jeff due to his vast experience as a “military Judge”. I believe Barr spelled out in his letter the inklings of something big coming and did not want to prosecute Biden due to their relationship. I think this was a good decision and Trump will be re-elected.

Very nice letter from Barr. It’s hard to dislike him. I like to think he is a good and honorable man, who gave credibility to the critics of the Russian collusion hoax. He was the right man at the right time for Trump. Like all of us, he had to balance competing interests both in the department and in his professional life. He may not have done all that many of us wanted done, but, given the challenges he faced, he did quite a lot, IMHO.
It’s not hard for me to dislike him. You are aware of Ruby Ridge? Guess not;)
