Pei Minxin is a professor of government at Claremont McKenna College in the United States and one of the Chinese scholars who systematically study the issue of democratization in China. He called Xi Jinping’s line of accelerating the centralization of power and strengthening the one-party dictatorship after he took office as “Neo-Stalinism” on the grounds of learning from the lessons of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Xi Jinping plots the Stalinist political revolution
“Xi Jinping has been in power for eight years and planned a neo-Stalinist political revolution, which fundamentally changed the development trajectory of China in the post-Mao era.” On Thursday (December 3) Pei Minxin at the American Democracy Foundation and the Canadian Embassy in the United States Said in the joint annual lecture on global democracy.
Pei Minxin believes that Xi Jinping’s prescriptions for Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao’s post-totalitarian decline in China have introduced certain core elements of Stalin’s rule. But he believes that this restoration of neo-Stalinist rule “may accelerate rather than prevent China’s future democratization”, “because neo-Stalinism is self-destructive, so that it may weaken rather than strengthen one-party rule.”
After Xi Jinping took office, he abolished the collective leadership system and state leaders’ tenure restrictions, launched a large-scale anti-corruption campaign, instilled new ideologies, cleansed up dissidents within the party, continuously escalated the suppression of civil society and ethnic minorities, advocated state capitalism, and sought to confront the West Foreign policy.
Pei Minxin said, “Although Xi Jinping himself firmly believes that this survival strategy will revitalize the declining regime, it is not clear what lessons he actually learned from the disintegration of the Soviet Union. If anything, this survival strategy will almost certainly exacerbate the situation. Some tensions bring new risks and undermine the prospects of the CCP’s long-term survival.”
Pei Minxin put forward three reasons to support his speculation:
First, the excessive concentration of power puts Xi on a path of no return
“Excessive concentration of power leads to general bureaucratic slack, lack of diversity in the decision-making process, excessive risk-taking policies, and inability to self-correct mistakes,” he said.
In the past eight years, Xi Jinping’s implementation of the One Belt One Road initiative, the construction of militarized artificial islands and reefs in the disputed waters of the South China Sea, the mass imprisonment of Muslims in Xinjiang, and the implementation of the national security law in Hong Kong undermined the “one country, two systems” have all produced a lot of impact on the Chinese Communist regime Adverse consequences. And Xi Jinping strengthened the party’s efforts by instilling ideology. In practice, “it will inevitably become a meaningless political form executed by party members in order to pretend loyalty and abide by the law.”
Second, high-level power struggle is inevitable
Pei Minxin said: “Following the removal of the President’s term limit in early 2018, a succession battle has emerged. Xi Jinping has now set an unforeseen outcome, and concerns about potential strong competitors have prompted him to only arrange weak and loyal supporters as successors. The historical experience after the deaths of Stalin and Mao Zedong shows that the successor is likely to break out in a power struggle. If Xi Jinping’s successor loses the power struggle, his inheritance may be at risk like Khrushchev and Deng Xiaoping. The power struggle in the post-Xi Jinping period The victor will be motivated to open up new paths and will give up his legacy without hesitation.”
Third, economic development encounters internal and external resistance
“The biggest question now is whether Xi Jinping’s economic policies will maintain growth at a reasonable rate,” Pei Minxin said.
The latest economic plan approved by the CPC Central Committee a month ago predicts that the annual growth rate will reach about 4.7%. If realized, China’s economy will double in size by 2035. However, due to the deterioration of China’s population structure, Pei Minxin believes that this optimistic forecast may not succeed.
Pei Minxin pointed out that the CCP’s latest economic blueprint does not contain any fundamental reforms that can improve efficiency. “If there is no real reform, China will face great difficulties in maintaining growth in the next ten years.”
In addition, Pei Minxin said that intensified strategic competition with the United States will cause huge losses to China. “China’s domestic retreat and aggressive foreign policy put it in the process of colliding with the United States and its democratic allies.”
Pei Minxin said that, driven by the containment strategy, “full economic decoupling between China and the United States is inevitable. If the United States succeeds in uniting with its allies, the impact on China will be devastating.”
In terms of security, “escalation of tensions will trigger an arms race and divert resources from China’s domestic needs. The geopolitical urgency of strategic competition with the United States also requires China to invest resources to support a friendly, mainly authoritarian regime. The magnificent but suspicious projects related to the “Belt and Road” initiative that project China’s power will consume hundreds of billions of dollars in China’s treasury.”
2035: The end of Xi Jinping’s period?
Pei Minxin predicts, “Before the end of the Xi Jinping period-assuming around 2035 for demonstration purposes, China’s socio-economic conditions will almost certainly be more conducive to democratization than today.”
“If the fate of the communist dictatorship in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe provides any guidance for thinking about China’s future, it is worth speculating today that the long journey from Maoist totalitarianism to post-totalitarianism into neo-Stalinism will only be delayed. It cannot be prevented from meeting with the democratic future.”
“China may finally bid farewell to the long shadow of totalitarianism.” Pei Minxin said at the end of the 2020 Global Democracy Annual Lecture.

If so, is it logged as the ballot is counted by the machine?
Is there not a subroutine in the voting software to flag and deny the same ballot being counted twice?
Are there not log files that would show the ballot identifying number along with its votes, so that an audit later would catch multiple voting machine pass-throughs by ballots?

I received 2 absentee ballots, which I never requested. There was a QR code on the upper left top side of the ballot on a 1″ perforated stub, in large bold red print, which said:
“PLEASE REMOVE THIS STUB BEFORE RETURNING YOUR BALLOT”
Why would the perforated stub w/the QR code be disengaged from the returned absentee ballot?
I never used an absentee ballot. I voted in person.
The bar code (referenced in the below comment by
Tornarosa) was imprinted on the portion of the absentee ballot to be returned (if used), but the QC code was not.
nim, the ballot is scanned and printed out as a piece of paper with a bar code on it. Despite looking high-tech, it is just encoded for one of the candidates and can be, and was, re-scanned as many times as desired.
The whole purpose of this seeming non-sense was to meet one of the design specifications that it would appear to leave a paper trail, but couldn’t actually be audited.

I say respectfully that the rule of law means nothing when it presented to arbiters of the law that are activists, not jurists. Ideally, The Constitution, the most brilliant document of freedom in all time, should shine and deliver pure justice. Yet, we have division. Justices are human and some are prone to problems, like Roberts. I pray that justice will be done, but I am keeping my AR 15 and AR10 clean and ready to roll.

One of the problems in Nevada is the President Trump attorneys told the judge there were 40,000 dead people who voted but had no evidence that occurred. It seems they just presented the dead people on voter rolls and never found one whose name was used to vote. At least that is what is being reported. That seems odd to me that the lawyers wouldn’t search for those names on the list of people who voted.

Well, I hate to admit it but I think you are right. From what I have read, the attorneys for President Trump went to court with a lot of allegations but no proof of those allegations. Obviously, I wasn’t in court so I am basing this on what is being reported. Don’t quite understand why the testimony that was given before the legislatures were presented in court. One, major witness wasn’t even called to testify by the Trump attorneys even though they flew him to the state, paid for a hotel room and prepped him for the testimony. His list was given to the FBI at their request. But, the attorneys left in the hotel room. I am baffled. Everyone knows only the prosecution can get a case to the court room but then have to present proof of the allegations. Why didn’t they?

Attorneys present EVIDENCE. Whether the evidence is sufficient to establish PROOF of the charged offense is the providence of the fact finders.
The judges that are serving as the fact finders are passing the buck so that appeals can be hurriedly brought such that they are not seen as the ‘ultimate finder of fact’ . . .
What good is “proof” if courts will not give a fair hearing or allow evidence to be presented? According to lawyers writing here and elsewhere the evidence we know about is sufficient to show “preponderance of the evidence” that fraud took place.
I don’t know what it will take to counter the massive election fraud. If the legislatures won’t act, it will be up to the SC. If SCOTUS punts on the questions, the corruption of institutions will be complete. IMO at that point the President will have some very difficult decisions to make.

FWIW, Georgia has a law on its books that it almost never honors, ripe for a lawsuit: it requires PRIVATE companies to be subject to public records requests if a preponderance of their revenue comes from public funds.

I agree with Lin Wood, these two wannabe Senators MUST earn the vote. So far, they have done absolutely nothing to rally behind the President and support his efforts for a fair and legal election.

If she appeared to be a loyal supporter of President Trump during his 2016 campaign, and during her tenure in the White House — she sure isn’t one now.
Besides, she’s unemployed — and if Biden/Harris need her, she’s all in.
People forget that Kellyanne was a GOP insider and Ted Cruz supporter originally, she joined the Trump campaign toward the end. She ended up getting tremedous credit for the 2016 victory, but to me her contribution always seemed overblown. Her husband is basically the public head of the NeverTrump movement and led wave after wave of vicious attacks against President Trump during the 2020 election, while his wife sat in the White House. It was very bizarre.
Isn’t a magic all white house leaking disappeared ever since she left WH?
I’m not the least bit surprised by this.
She’s probably doing this for at least two reasons:
1) Potential future employment, or at the very least an attempt to get off of any blacklists she’s surely on.
2) Attempting to repair the damage done to her family when she was actively supporting Trump while her daughter and husband were rabidly wailing at the moon about what an evil racist Trump is.

Courts have been seeded with crooks and traitors. Result? No honest citizen can trust them. DOJ, FBI? Same.
The only way to know what is going on is through communications that can be trusted. That has been routed, leaving straggler avenues that are difficult to pick through and those that are left get doubly assaulted. My mom, for instance would not know how to access this site.
And what happens when the ‘Good Guys’ lose? History says that it is the story of the hens in the hen house vs the fox. It is a blood bath.
This is not an election to save the Republican President from a stolen election. This is an attempt to throw the fox out of the hen house through non violent ballot, and fraud ballots are currently in contest, some attempts to contest fraud have failed and are now in the courts and State Legislatures.
That is where, to the best I can find out, we are. Unfortunately, a full month after a landslide election where Our choice, President Trump, won, yet, we are still in dire straights with weak hope and praying to God.
Should the massive fraud finally fail to be thrown out, in my dark corner, I have no idea if the farmer who was elected to safeguard our Republic will stand up for the chickens.

Trump filed suit in GA today, among the relief requested is a new presidential election.
Don’t be concerned about trial court judges and Appellate Courts ruling against the Trump cases. All of them are destined to be heard at the US Supreme Court. What happens on the way there is not terribly relevant.
Beginning to see POTUS’s plan, and it has been months in the making. He was making the legal case about magic mail in ballots to the public back in the summer.
Because this is going to end up with the state legislatures, he had to go make the evidence case to them.
He is going to make the Constitutional case to the SCOTUS. The most SCOTUS will likely do is void the elections in these states. This will take the gutless RINO state legislatures off the hook. They will have the excuse to not send electors bc SCOTUS has voided their elections.
It is relevant if the SC defers back to the states and their court rulings and legislatures isn’t it?
Even if the SC rules on certain cases, who says the states will abide by the ruling? In this time right now there are no guarantees the SC will have any clout with those bent on stealing this country.
The people we, us, have to take back this country and restore its Constitutional rights. That is our Constitutional right. Be prepared.

Retired Magistrate here: Listen to President Trump’s December 2 speech. In the first minute he states that it is his job to protect the Constitution of the United States. Then he goes on with specifics about voter fraud. Somewhere about halfway thru he mentions portions of Executive Order 13484 signed in September 2018. Doesn’t specifically mention the Order, just refers to parts of it.
Also look at the replacements the President has made in the Department of Defense and other defense boards. Also, about a week ago President Trump stated that Biden would have to prove that he won by legal votes, which shifted the burden of proof from Trump proving that he has been re elected to Biden proving that he has been elected.
I believe that President Trump is doing everything he can to let this play out in the courts and legislatures but knowing that he will have to go nuclear with various executive orders that he has signed and his other powers as Commander in Chief. This will be a last resort; however, he has made it clear that he takes very seriously his role to protect the Constitution. It will be a wild ride, but to save our country it will be worth it. Buckle up!

At this moment we are ‘Hong Kong’. Sec. 2. a (i) to have directly or indirectly engaged in, sponsored, concealed, or otherwise been complicit in foreign interference in a United States election;
Sec. 2. a (ii) to have materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to or in support of, any activity described in subsection (a)(i)
Under the 2018 EO, entities engaging in this behavior are liable to have all their assets seized by the U.S. Treasury.
Conceivably, this might mean seizing assets of Twitter, FB, WaPo, CNN, MSNBC, et al. Although this sounds drastic, it could be as boring as Obama taking over GM.
The War Between the States took an estimated 850,000 lives, it could be many more today in a worst case scenario, that our enemies would relish. The permanent loss of our Vote, and thus our Republic under a Biden presidency might be so traumatic that it could easily trigger a Civil War
I don’t see enforcing the EO as a “Nuclear Option,” but simply taking out the garbage.

Instead of continually presenting evidence for them to call debunked and/or a conspiracy theory, we need to start asking them what, if anything, they would consider as evidence of voter fraud? My guess is that a conservative touching a ballot is evidence of voter fraud and that is it.
FWIW: They also cannot do anything that would justify self-defense by a police officer.
