We have a rather unique situation here… The digital U-Haul is loaded after our eviction from WordPress/Automattic for violations of community ‘wrong think’ and questioning narratives against the interests of Big Tech. After a decade on the platform we are sweeping up the porch and saying farewell to the WordPress community.
The CTH family is disappointed at the business position of Automattic, but we are also excited about the new home we have created. CTH 2.0 is going to be awesome, liberating and even better. We are so blessed and fortunate beyond my wildest imaginings.
Right now we are patching the holes in the walls and running the vacuum while our long-time friends stop by to express their anger about our eviction. Simultaneously, those who moved away to the big city are coming back to visit and express their support.
I cannot go into details, mostly because I haven’t yet decided whether to accept a proposal for a grand exit – or stick to our customary & understated simple wave farewell, but the big city folks want to use this eviction as a warning of sorts.
Apparently, the youthful rebellious spirit within those who sold-out to mega-media conglomerates and bright lights has been triggered. A spirit we at CTH retain.
Out there in the land of the MSM right now there is a group of ‘journalists’ ideologically reminiscing for a time when the counter-culture was fighting for the truth; damn the consequences and without care for wounded feelings, delicate sensibilities or financial livelihoods. They reflect on a spirit we have retained and protected within our CTH community. A spirit we will never stop safe-guarding from enticement and compromise.
We are rag-tag misfits, we are proud of it, and -if needed- we clean up well.
We are a crew more comfy eating pizza from box on a tailgate than trying to fit in with a new media outlook of highfalutin’ big technocrats. We are, quite simply, the rebel alliance.
All of that said, a question for each of you would be:
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?….
What was it that brought you here?…
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value?
A notable disclaimer. Your answer(s) may end up in a very large spotlight; so think about whether you are comfy with that before you share anything. Your comment responses are always private, but also likely to be read by some very influential big city types.
An update on CTH 2.0 will soon follow. But for now, as we sit on the porch and reminisce about a decade of discussion on this platform, there are a bunch of folks who want to know why CTH matters to you.
If you feel like sharing your answer, write it in the comments.
Every response is entirely OK.
I have never known a better group of cyber-friends than this community. I have never known a larger and deeper group of experience than exists right here. I have never known a better team at assembling details, granular and specific details that outline the truth, than this crew. For that, I am blessed and incredibly thankful… Especially today.
So if you’re comfy, what brought you here?
Love to all,
Sundance

I was reading though the comments on a Breitbart article during the 2016 campaign, and this site was linked by a commenter. I was so tired of sites that were long on talking points, regurgitating the required rhetoric to attract us….but short on substance.
I loved the safe haven provided for Trump supporters back then, but it was when you covered the LaVoy Finicum travesty that I knew I had access to facts not found anywhere else. This site is so much more than what meets the eye at first glance.
Thank you, treepers and refugees! And especially Sundance for what you do, who you are and the impact you have on so many of us. You are truly beloved.
If lurkers are considered members, then count me in.
I found CTH through a recommendation in a comment on ZeroHedge in December 3 or 4 years ago. As important as this site has become to me, you would think I would remember the moment. No doubt there was a detailed account of the back story linking things together and making sense.
I started out reading headlines on Drudge and soon realized it was mostly click bait. Before I dropped Drudge I was also reading headlines and some articles on ZeroHedge. When I started lurking on CTH, it was a little bit anxiety producing, but truth has no agenda and I felt Sundance was to be trusted.
Eventually, I would just read the headlines on ZeroHedge and think really?, then wait for the article on CTH. Now, I only follow CTH and check several times throughout the day for new articles. If it isn’t posted on CTH, it isn’t news. From time to time I also read articles linked by CTH commenters. While I don’t have the capacity to watch videos, I do read most of the comments hoping to get a feel for video content. I am always glad to see a transcript.
Also, I look forward to the holiday food posts by Menagerie.
Lurkers are Treepers!
I started reading during the George Zimmerman coverage and was impressed by the solid information which was borne out to be accurate. There were so many commenters who offered ideas on the way the investigation proceeded and the manipulation behind many moves that opened my eyes to our agencies, our media, and the developing narrative. That transitioned to the run up to the 2016 primaries and election then into Russiagate. I miss some of those people whose comments were particularly insightful and for whose remarks I’ve would scan after digesting the primary article. I finally registered with WordPress to be able to continue reading this past summer and will now continue where ever this ends up. It is the one thing that maintains my spirit of hope for this country.
I found CTH in November of 2016. I stumbled across a link to a story on Trump and his expected policies re China. Curious as to how much credence to give to Sundance I went into the Archives back to 2013, 2014 and started reading. It convinced me and I’ve been coming here ever since. It became a go to source for what was really going on.
I actually just found you today thanks to a realignment by a fellow blogger.
I read the reblog and like what I read— and your blog title speaks to my heart— I will follow wherever you may roam!!!
Welcome! Glad you are here!
I came to CTH during the 2016 election and have been a reader ever since. If I recall correctly, I came across the url to this site on Breitbart. Looking forward to version 2.0.
I also came to CTH when our Dear President announced his candidacy since 2016. I found an article and a link to CTH and from that day it is the only place I get my news. I do not watch MSM. I avidly watched RSBN during the 2016 and 2020 President Trump rallies. I am blessed to have found this site. It has opened my understanding and my knowledge base has increased, thank you and God Bless all of our Treepers and Sundance. God Bless the USA and Our President and his family. We are truly blessed.
I wasn’t into politics back in 2016, until my second grader came home from school that fall and told me her class was asked who they were going to vote for in the presidential election. She said her classmates were going to vote for Clinton. She said she didn’t choose because she didn’t know who the people were.
I had heard about Clinton Cash and generally had the perception that Clinton was corrupt and therefore wouldn’t be a good choice, but beyond that, did not know much. I had heard about Trump, of course, but didn’t know much about him either.
It’s one thing for children to learn civics, but another altogether for 8 year olds to make informed decisions about the next president – more accurately, it is a poor exercise in succumbing to peer pressure.
In my efforts to learn more, I started researching. I started at Breitbart, but noticed a lot of what they had was regurgitated from the MSM pieces. I learned a lot from the comment section. It’s where I saw a reference to the Treehouse.
I have been reading the Treehouse ever day since. I avidly read the daily threads and commentary about the news of the day. A lot of the articles had a ‘Go Deep’ feature. I couldn’t believe how much I hadn’t been paying attention in the prior years under Obama. I loved that everything was sourced with embedded links, video, and connections to other investigations/analyses. At the same time I was learning at the Treehouse, it helped me to realize why I had been feeling so uneasy, like the USA I had grown up in wasn’t the same place. I felt like I had found like-minded people that confirmed that I was not crazy, that the USA had changed, and that I was failing at my own civic duties.
I stick around because I enjoy reading SD’s articles, hearing his opinions, and learning about the intricate workings of our country and its’ national and foreign policy.
The comment section has impressive commentators — researched, thoughtful conversations abound. I enjoy the sense of community and crowd-sourcing of information.
I will follow the Conservative Treehouse wherever it goes. I am very grateful that I found this website.
God bless.
How I got here?
I hang out an a smaller, more eclectic blog that has a couple of dozen regular commenters, a couple of dozen that comment a few times a month, and another 30 – 40 that comment once or twice a year.
One of the regulars there would post links to articles by Sundance and links to astute comments; a favorite of hers was Black Knight Rides for insightful and biting commentary. She started posting the links… oh… I’d say beginning around early 2015.
Oddly, I followed the links out of great respect for the person providing the CTH links, and found really good stuff. But I didn’t read much beyond what was in the link.
So, I’d read a great article by Sundance, but I didn’t read the comments. Or I’d read a linked comment by, usually BKR, and think he had made a very good point.
Sometime, in late 2015, I read a linked comment that had some really great replies arguing both for and against… I can’t recall… but it was an excellent exchange. And I kept reading through the end of comments on that thread. That was towards the end of 2015.
So I started reading every Sundance article and all of the comments every day, which was quite doable in 2015, 2016, 2017, and a bit beyond there. (No can do all of the comments, now. Thousands of comments!)
It was just immediately apparent to me that the TreeHouse was a place that you could put in your 2¢, state your case or reasoning, and if there were disagreements it seemed most were willing to agree to disagree.
Most were following posting guidelines with the exception of sharing “Hey, friend XXXXX, what’s up with…” something a bit more personal and OT. For example: We had a lot of fun making jokes about Sylvia Avery and her shovels; NJF and her shoes; WSB had a problem I didn’t sole but got her on track. Those comment threads would wander quite a bit. Oh, and flepore’s pet potbellied pig; those definitely wandered out of bounds, but that was the charm of the TreeHouse.
I didn’t lurk for more than a day or two before diving in, because CTH was a very comfortable place. And I still have a lot of “Posting Buddies” from those more casual days. They give me “Likes” to say howdy. I can’t do likes (they know it) so I try not to clutter threads, but I sometimes add a ‘bump’ reply to their comments to let them know I still think of them and appreciate them.
Why do I stay?
1) Sundance’s astute analyses. He’s tapped into sources I don’t have and plus the sources we all have, and has the amazing ability to not only add 2 + 2 and get 4, but integrate all of the information over the surface of a sphere and come out with the volume of the hole left by the void of information not being provided by the Yellow Stream Media. Sundance sees the negative space; a rare talent.
b) An Admin crew behind the scenes that is amazing! If you’re here a year or two, you catch on to how much work they do and get to know them a teensy bit. They don’t interject themselves much, but enough to get a bit of a sense of them, and they are people you’d be happy to have living next door.
iii) The commenters here are a huge resource. Sundance can’t cover everything nor write a 10,000 word essay on every topic nor cover every topic. Commenters here bring in additional information and insights, and argue a bit when some things are not settled. Facts and opinions added to an article really fill out a topic. And as above, some are blog friends, so it’s great to read what they think and just see how they are getting along.
Last) This is my primary source of news. I don’t watch much TV, unless there are explosions and car crashes. I gave up on the alleged news years before I even started reading here. I learned maybe 20 years ago that if you didn’t watch or read the MSM, you were uninformed, and if you did watch or read the MSM, you were misinformed.
If it’s important, it will show up here either as an article by Sundance or in comments by TreeHouse contributors… and quite often days before you see it anywhere else.
That’s my story and I’m stickin’ wit’ it ?
P.S. I’m just as much President Elect as Biden is right now. So is everyone else. I’ll be going back to just plain ol’ H.R. after President Trump’s reelection is confirmed.
I tried to find your oldest post, but couldn’t get back to 10 years ago if that in fact was when it was. Anyway I got here through either Doug Ross or American Thinker, and I bet it was 10 years ago.
I really enjoy and appreciate the community detecting and voting off the island the evil bastard democrat trolls, so we can have mostly rational informative threads.
I’m trying my best to be a watchman on the wall, and the information, truth and yes prophecy presented here consistently help me to be informed and hopefully steer an optimal life course for my family and associates.
I actually can’t remember when I came to the Treehouse. I lurked as a reader for many years before finally commenting when it was necessary to do so a few months back. I fell in love with the incredible depth of documented information that was in the articles AND in the comments. This is my “go to” site to get the truth about why things happened the way they happened. As a Christian, I have felt accepted and respected even by those here that might not be Christian, I appreciate that. It makes me feel safe to share my thoughts. I have encouraged family and friends to check out CTH. I am looking forward to CTH 2.0, I know that I can trust Sundance and the Treehouse team to continue sharing the truth about what is happening in our world and to continue to be a safe place to share my thoughts with others.
How I found you: During the 2016 election, I was searching the net for like-minded folks. At this time, I felt I was in the minority for being a strong DJT supporter. I found a few others at a blog called NoQuarterUsa by Larry Johnson who sometimes appears on thegatewaypundit. One of the commenters spoke highly of the CTH so I took a look and became hooked!
Why I stayed: I stayed because it is indeed the LastRefuge. I love reading the well-researched posts supported with evidence and links. I also love reading most of the comments, especially those that are well thought out by smart people who know way more than I do. Every day , I get a good education. I was hungry for truth and worn out from the daily propaganda from the msm and the local news here in Illinois. Being lied to every single day is beyond annoying.
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?….
2015 primary, looking for news and insight, stumbled onto CTH. CTH was a site I could comment on, no flame wars, courteous members, high quality thoughtful comments, few trolls, relative tolerance, and Sundance was insightful with key insight. **Racism, antisemitism were not tolerated.** 1400 year long problem with Political Islam (inherent to Islam, in their holy scriptures & deeds, no ability to misinterpret) **could be honestly spoken about**. Others shared important links. However Trump’s election brought hope we could climb out of the hole leading to Socialist Hell, and everyone here knew we had a last ditch chance.
What was it that brought you here?…
I was looking for a site to help understand where we were, that had the essential news, and where I could find hope.
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value?
I had been Libertarian since 1970. I have since learned there are some flaws in some of the economics (very few, but significant, tariffs for instance, addictive opiates another). So, I have learned here.
It is not enough to gripe and moan, to see problems and danger, that leads to hopelessness and victimhood. No one needs that. We need strategic battles won. We need perspective. There is no substitute to winning this time. We have come to the point of all the marbles, win or lose. The Demons are not looking for a draw. Our backs are against the wall and we are facing the ovens.
Sessions provided a learning experience into Uniparty duplicity. So many were sucked in including me, but I came to the realization he was a traitor, many still never climbed out of the sucker box.
Barr came next. Better at being a double agent. I was slower to realize it, mostly because he was not 100%, so had more smoke to blow.
With the 2020 election results, the big steal writing was on the wall, I could not understand why it was not being addressed, finally the election proved it… I was so pissed I could spit, I could not understand how it was allowed to happen, I was nearly gone from this site, but hope has been rekindled, so I came back somewhat. I do not have the skill, means, words to fight this kind of battle. And eventually it will end in the courts, possibly State Legislatures, and there is too much corruption there to trust. There is no ‘Lose, yet survive’. Few comprehend what happens when Good Guys lose to Bad Guys / Demons. It is ovens. There is no America to escape to and that is the rotting elephant in the room.
God Help US.
I would add that I have found you can only learn so much from the msm. It is sometimes quite frightening to read the headlines and try to figure out the truth. This website has given me an anchor and I always know I will find the truth here.
CTH came to my attention during the sad case of Hannah Graham. I was impressed at the excellent research/sleuthing done here. I continue to visit because of the high quality of research with sources listed on a variety of subjects. Also, topics are generally discussed thoroughly and in context so as not to intentionally distort the issue. MSM could learn a lot about investigative reporting from CTH.
I found The Conservative Treehouse because a friend said he felt it was one of the few places he could go for honest reporting. I agree with his assessment. I have been impressed by the in-depth reporting, the documentation of facts and the true journalism that goes into what you report on. I love that you post the Lord’s Prayer every day as a reminder of who truly is in charge. I pray for everyone involved in putting together this site and I thank you that you are a beacon of truth. May God Bless you and keep you safe! The best is yet to come with The Conservstive Treehouse 2.0
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?…. I could see very quickly the quality of thought provided by someone called “Sundance”.
What was it that brought you here?… A link from another site that I was reading.
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value? When people really seem to believe what they say, instead of giving lip service, that seems like people that you can trust and be comfortable with.
I learned of CTH during the Big Ugly when Rush mentioned the site during a broadcast. Wish I’d have gotten here sooner. The intelligent articles, deep depth of knowledge, source citing (deep dives), and treehouse fellowship keep me here. As firewooodstacker said above, “CTH is the only source I trust.” It’s changed me as an American engaged in the fight, and for that I am truly grateful. Looking forward to CTH 2.0!
I found the CTH when I was trying to find some answers regarding Trayvon Martin.
Around that time I had started to become fatigued with Drudge. There were some inconsistencies in the story too regarding this Watermelon drink and “Skillits”, as Sharpton put it.
I’m pretty sure I used some Google-fu to find my way here in trying to understand why Sharpton kept emphasizing the drink and candy Martin had bought.
Anyway, the thorough deep dive here into Martin’s background, with the pics of his poor life choice behavior in flashing money, the bird, and drugs online via his social media accounts was then used by me to persuade a few co-workers that everything wasn’t as it seemed on the office TV.
I’ve been an infrequent visitor here since that time. Thank you for being so thorough and trying to stick to the raw facts.
I came during the Republican primaries in 2016. What Donald Trump was talking about really grabbed my attention, because he was the first politician to talk about the things that resonated with me (especially trade, energy Independence, staying out of war). I knew the media was corrupt, so I searched online for discussion boards for people who felt similarly. I stick around here for Sundance’s great insights, phenomenal research and the fellowship provided by fellow Treepers.
I found my way here when I had heard mention of the Deep State and had never thought it could possibly be real. But Russiagate and the pee pee dossier reeled me in. I needed to learn more about why obvious criminals were being treated with kid gloves. So I started reading articles and blogs, listened to podcasts and shows on YouTube and heard about CTH.
At first I didn’t know what to make of it. I’m not a Christian and the blog seemed heavy on religion so there was an initial questioning (is this the right place for me? do I feel comfortable here?) but the folks were so smart, so caring and so honest that it quickly became a non-issue.
Life has been a roller coaster since then and I did find a refuge from the nasty weasels in the government and MSM. I needed comfort from the unceasing arrows aimed at a president who I thought was doing a terrific job and who had put it all on his back to carry our nation through the fetid swamp. Those arrows hurt us, too.
CTH has kept me sane throughout. Sundance has been straight with us. I didn’t worry needlessly if Sundance said not to. I learned who is a friend to the cause and who is a foe. I’ve learned who is dirty and who isn’t. I learned how almost every politician in both parties is a grifter and that no one cares about their constituents. I’ve learned about the trillions of dollars that are in play. I’ve learned to be skeptical about politicians’ motives. What an education!
If I want unvarnished news, produced in a thoughtful way, I come to CTH. The articles are second to none and the comments lead me to more information, information I’m desperate for. The people who post are the salt of the earth, strong and solid, with a ton of knowledge from all walks of life. How refreshing. Citizen journalism is our only hope. Thank you, each and every one. Once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.
I don’t post very often maybe only three or four posts a year because frankly I never learned anything when I’m talkin! It’s always better to listen. I came across tree house four maybe five years ago. I can’t remember how I came across your footprint but boy from the day I started reading it I knew I’d found my political home. It was not dissimilar to 30 something years ago when I heard this guy named Rush Limbaugh on the radio and started thinking well this guy says what I’m thinking all the time. I have learned so much from cth it is Graduate Studies in real life politics. Thank you Sundance for all you do and I’ll be traveling along with you on the journey ahead.
I can’t believe how many responses you got! God bless all.
I was banned at RedState for daring to consider Donald Trump a decent candidate for the presidency. So, I simply searched “Conservative websites” and found The Conservative Treehouse.
Although it did not publish essays under a member’s name and a title like RedState, the articles here were more interesting, and there was Free Speech, which no longer existed at RedState! That was the initial attraction.
I stayed because the articles were informative: Mr. Sundance seemed to be someone with legal training and government experience of some sort, someone perhaps retired from the upper levels of the bureaucracy or law enforcement. Also, the membership was large and active, which was not the case at certain other websites for Conservatives, and certainly intelligent! Their much appreciated responses to my comments throughout the years make the visits here worthwhile.
I do hope an “Editing” feature will appear, or perhaps at least a larger font for writing, because a larger, clearer font would help to prevent spelling and typing errors. 🙂
“I do hope an “Editing” feature will appear, or perhaps at least a larger font for writing, because a larger, clearer font would help to prevent spelling and typing errors.”
If I am doing longer comments, I prefer to cut and paste them from a word processor program on a computer. I know what you mean – after posting my comment there were several places where I did not capitalize the “I”. The small and faint makes it hard to discern between ” i ” and ” I “.
Greetings Deplorable Infidel! (Great Name!)
Yes, I have thought about adopting your technique. At times I have no intention of writing something longer, but end up doing so anyway, and then…sigh… It just seems like two or three more steps which I am loathe to march up! 😉
If the 2.0 version of The Conservative Treehouse does not offer such an improvement, then I will try the copy-cut-and-paste from my normal writing program .
Best Wishes!
I joined the Treehouse during the Trayvon Martin period, when I was seeing the truth here and watching the TV news lie. I’ve never left and it is still the first place I go to everyday.
I have started my morning for the past twenty-something years at Miss Lucianne’s News Forum because I didn’t have time (or patience) to search out conservative articles and commentary on my own. Over time, I began to notice references to some place called “The Conservative Treehouse”…which was interesting because Miss Lucianne normally does not allow links to blogs, so I knew the Treehouse must be something special. I was right…so after a while, I figured why wait for someone to post a link, why not just go right to the source? And, I have never looked back.
Otherwise, it is Sundance’s posts that make the difference, but I rapidly became fond of many of the posters, some of whom I would like to list now, if that is allowable?
Well, hope this approach works and won’t be scrubbed.
Of all the Treepers, the hardest working and most interesting, of course, are Sundance and AdREM with Menagerie close behind. OTOH, likely the most fun would be had with the dynamic duo of Felice Lepore and Lawrence Paul in tow! For a military touch, Gunny66 and H&HC2/16 would be the right combo of Oorah and Hooah. For an international perspective, A2 and Cripto would be “illuminating”. Otherwise, how could you go wrong with patriots such as GCombs OR citizen817 OR BlackKnightRides OR FLguy OR oldschool OR farmhand1927 OR Howie OR Bull Durham OR FofBW OR Grandma Covfefe OR citizen817 OR Wolfmoon OR Sylvia Avery OR rumpole2 OR tuskyou OR ladypenquin OR WSB OR MakeAmericaGreat OR Mncpo(ret) OR patrickhenrycensored OR NYGuy54 OR Sandra-VA OR bakocarl OR wheatietoo OR georgiafl OR mimbler OR Remington OR daughnworks247 OR ZurichMike OR ForGodandCountry OR Katherine McCoun OR blognificentbee…and the list goes on and on
My apologies for those I left out, but I look forward to see all of you at the new site soon!
Rumpole! Didn’t he always get a chuckle out of AdRem? And don’t forget Bluto and Keln. I miss some of the old names. Good times!
Keln is posting again after a bit of a break. Keep your eyes peeled, Anita.
In 2015 I noticed a crack in the matrix . Unable to put my finger on it or verbalize it . Due to other events happening in my life , I suddenly felt that the cloud of platitudes and the haze of lies and gaslighting was altogether stifling . I saw it breaking but didn’t understand it , until Donald Trump came down the escalator . I knew instinctively here was someone who was no longer going to gaslight and give us platitudes . I followed the speeches and it lead me here . It was the perfect fit , I always felt that I was searching for the Last Refuge of truth , even if painful , but real .
Also the posts by Menagerie were inspiring and spiritual on a very authentic level that I instantly recognized . When grandma covfefe started connecting us in prayer , i could tell we were now in the trenches of a great war that so few in this day and age can even understand anymore .
I might be on a small branch of this treehouse , yet it’s home to me in so many more ways than you can imagine Sundance. Thank You .
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?…. Over the last few years Rush has mentioned CTH a number of pivotal times and each time it was in relation to a Sundance prediction and each time the prediction bore out. SO…
What was it that brought you here?… During impeachment something Rush referenced was so spot on I switched from listening to the radio and went over to the computer AND…
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value? … I was hooked not only on the lead article I read, but the valuable insight provided by this community. The tone, the camaraderie, the Christian perspective and MOST OF ALL the rapid uncovering and analysis of the news faster than anywhere with great links to deeper dives.
I remember searching for information about the constitutionality of some of Obama’s actions.
And I came across the Treehouse! I assumed this site had been around a long time but I may have stumbled across it around the beginning??
My intuition was pointed in a direction and the first article I read from Sundance showed the path based on fact toward that same target.
I read here for a long while before I got the courage to comment.
I thought everyone well informed versus myself just thinking something was not right.
I am thankful to this site for filling in my hunch with facts and analysis.
I have told many others about this site – it has been a breath of enlightenment for sure!
Thank You
Fwiw relative to Automattic-why are they so afraid of the truth?
What agenda is worthy of suppressing the truth?
There is nothing worth hiding the truth!
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community? I’m a relatively new dweller that was attracted to The House by the rich source content, analysis and fact-based conversation. There’s really no other place that has all three.
What was it that brought you here? A quest for the truth pertaining to the Russia hoax and the corruption that ensued. Hat tip to you, Sundance, for taking the road less travelled. You made a difference and still do.
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value? Hope. The future is up to us.
Like many others have said, I kept coming across links to the Treehouse. This was at the end of the Zimmerman case. I’d pop in occasionally but never bookmarked the site. It was when Trump was getting into the campaign and the splitter strategy was laid out, that this became my go to site everyday .And I haven’t looked back. Sundance has a way of writing in ‘politics for dummies’ that makes the topic so simple to understand. So simple that it makes me wonder ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ Other news sites try to impress me with word salads that make me just wander off.
I don’t comment much, but I’ve learned so much here. So much that I wish I didn’t know half of what I know. Life was much simpler when I was oblivious to the evil and darkness of many in power. But thanks go to Sundance, and Treepers in general, for either laying it out or leaving links to even more information.
I’ll always remember the Treehouse for being my ride or die through the 2016 campaign. We became kin to the RSBN family. Watched Diamond and Silk rise. Rally nights were a blast. Joe(?) Seals’ American Dreamer is etched in my mind as the Trump fight song. The banner that Keln made and ended up larger than life on stage with Trump is another thing I’ll never forget. See you all in the 2.0.
A link from another site brought me here. What kept me here were the truths and facts that Sundance published about the Michael Brown affair. Any site that burned that brightly shed welcome light and insight on all of the troubling issues we continue to face. If we know the truth we will be set free – the nobelist path one can follow.
In 2014, after a lifetime as a loyal Democrat, I had an awakening with Ferguson. It had been coming on for a few years but Ferguson was the breaking point for me. My career background was software engineer, then product management and into senior management positions across data, predictive analytics and detailed research for the largest data aggregators in the world (and I have many interesting even relevant stories to tell about data usage in this country, even into the State Department). And at that point (Ferguson) I began using my career skillset to look into what felt wrong and why. I had conservative friends and saw references, on occasion to the CTH site and would, on those occasions, read what they linked to.
Over time I came to see and appreciate the manner in which your articles here are derived from research and well referenced and even cross referenced. Some of the work here reminded me of my work with corporate legal counsel on various matters. Very impressive. It simply appealed to me. Struck a cord.
But it wasn’t until your work on Spygate and the cataloging of the volumes of data by who, what, when and where that I became a loyal and grateful reader and follower.
To wrap it up, I’m simply a person who appreciates the immense detail and researchable validation of what you write and how you present. Perhaps more than most because I understand what goes into it from my own firsthand experiences in the corporate world. Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m happy to be here, and on the right side of history.
A coworker shared CTH with me back during the 2009-2010 Obama years.
Our factory in a small town in rural Ohio had packed up and moved to Mexico because of NAFTA and terrible union representation (IBEW). We were literally the last few employees in the building at the end of a two year transition which saw 1,800+ people lose their jobs. For a period of time at the end there was virtually no work to do, so we would spend our 2nd shift nights browsing political blogs and talking politics. American Thinker and CTH were (and still are) our primary sources of conversation and news.
I wish I had a picture to share, but I made what turned out to be a quite prophetic piece of art on a dry erase board down in the test lab back then. It was a mono-rail whose track ascended up into the clouds. At the station, a magazine cutout of Donald Trump sits behind the desk, waiting for customers seeking a ride. Up in the clouds, a printout of the “I want YOU” Uncle Sam Obama (with the red, white and blue top hat) gazed down. And riding the mono-rail, I guess for comic relief, was Saddam Hussein as depicted on South Park. I couldn’t even begin to tell you what my thought process or motivation was at the time.
The company actually keeps a handful of engineering staff operating out of the basement to this day, one of whom I remain good acquaintances with. A year or two ago he emailed me a photo of this picture. It’s still there in all of its amateurish glory.
I’ve stuck around (on and off) all these years for two main reasons:
1) You provide sources and citations that allow me to “trust but verify” and form my own opinions.
2) The community (for the most part =P) is almost as informative as you and, again for the most part, extremely mature.
I look forward to many more years spent on the branches of CTH 2.0
And for the record…. I say go out with a bang and a bit of fanfare here for what it’s worth 😉
I got here by a tip from my step-father about the same time Trump really started going through the ringer in 2018. Ever since I have constantly come to this site refreshing it in hopes of some new and insightful info on what is going on. This site has given me new understanding of my conservative beliefs and a context for which they came to me. I only recently started reading the comments, and leaving my own. But it has been awesome, encouraging and challenging to see the diversity of thought in the Tree house. I am glad to have come into a community of people I know care about God, Family and country without question. It is not easy to find these day.
I found the Treehouse during the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin fiasco. I was a democrat at the time, but wavering. I saw pictures of George Zimmerman’s beaten head and face on Hannity and was shocked, as I thought he shot a 12 year old in the back after stalking him. I researched the facts and found the Treehouse.
I have stayed because the Treehouse gives me the best analysis, as well as a sense of home. Whenever I watch election results, or a debate, I turn to the Treehouse and find out what the members are saying. It helps me deal with all the unfairness.
We moved out of NJ in 2014 in large part due to the illegal immigration issue and the outrageous taxes we had to pay to support all the illegal immigrant families. I supported Donald Trump from the beginning due to his immigration policies and begged him to run for President on his facebook page. The Treehouse had the same ideas and was the best place to follow whatever has happened since to President Trump.
I will always stay with the Treehouse. I feel safe here and I can trust what Sundance researched and has to say.
Been here since the Jessica Chambers case. I was intrigued by the clues Sundance used to find when other media didn’t even look. Kind of like the Hardy Boys mystery novels I read as a kid. They never gave up til the case was solved.
Don’t comment much anymore but find others’ comments informative and interesting. Sundance has a way of shining light on things that might usually go overlooked!
I’m wondering about my password for logging in here. Will we need the same one at CTH 2.0?
What if i don’t remember it because my browser saved it and I never need it?
Such petty things, I know. I’m sure the plan will drag us all along somehow!
I really never paid attention to politics or big events that happened across the country or the world until 9-11 happened. It changed me as it probably did for many people. I started listening to talk radio mainly Neil Boortz and began commenting on his comment section on his website. I was also listening to some Glenn Beck on the radio and followed his TV show on HLN (I think) and followed him to Fox when he went there, and then too the Blaze where I was a regular poster there, and when Neil retired, the Blaze was my only go to site.
I found the Treehouse during the Trayvon debacle through a link from the Blaze, and have been here ever since. Sundance has a gift of putting all the pieces together to make sense to even a hillbilly like myself. The Treehouse is my go to site for anything of importance that is affecting our Country and World. I know I will read well reasoned commentary with plenty of facts to back it up, and of course, my fellow Treepers always have some great comments and insight to add to Sundance’s thoughts. I do miss Howie’s clapping seals and goat ropping gifs though. Thanks Sundance.
I found the CTH originally during the Treyvon Martin case. But I didn’t go past reading the articles related to the case to realize there was a wealth more of knowledge/articles and a community in the discussions. I later re-found the CTH community during the 2016 campaign. I know I was directed here by a conservative researcher who referenced CTH either in some forum, twitter, or ?? And this time I bookmarked the site and continued to read the articles. I loved the perspective of the articles b/c it was in depth, original sources were cited, etc. It took me a while to realize that were was a great depth of knowledge, commentary, citations etc in the daily threads—there was a whole community of smart patriots from all walks of life. That has kept me coming back to CTH multiple times a day. First, if you read comments on news articles from any MSM news source, the comments are all shit posts —- one liners, gotchas, no depth, name calling. But at CTH in the daily comments section —as news is breaking—I can find in depth comments, analysis, real time research being posted. These comments are often by people who have MORE knowledge of the situation than the MSM (who don’t research, don’t do investigative journalism). I have found CTH a great place for me to learn and for me to bookmark/screenshot articles, memes, info I can use to share with others. It’s like a giant curated spot for the best news and best analysis.
I found my way here via internet searches trying to understand what was going on when Candidate Trump was just getting started.
I wanted to have a deeper understanding of the political process, and grassroots reaction to his populist offering. I also wanted to be somewhere where he was wasn’t spoken about in a derogatory manner.
I found a community of people who were passionate for authenticity with their leader, who had the most amazing essays and narrative from Sundance’s archives and daily reporting.
I visited several times daily and would love the intelligent responses. The community spirit made me feel at home despite my reluctance to post for several years and have stayed because I feel part of a family that is fighting the same things we Brexiteers are fighting – globalist chains. I cannot imagine not waking in the morning to check in and see what has been happening, through the day, last thing at night and even through the night when I can’t sleep. This is my home and Sundance’s & treepers my political family
I came here during coverage on Jessica Chambers’ murder (wish that could have been more satisfactorily resolved). I followed a link from someone on the ‘Blink on Crime’ blog. I was just starting my ‘online life’ and couldn’t have found a better home! Nothing out there matches the info and ambiance of CTH or even comes close.
The facts that are presented, the links that are provided and comments that add information and links to the bigger picture, all help one to discern and make up their own mind as to what they believe.
I love the financial articles that explain what’s what in understandable presentations. For those not as familiar with deeper financial issues, it’s a real education. It’s information that makes a difference in how you see the world. Following the money is one of the biggest political eyeopeners there can be.
There is not one other site that even comes close to providing the researched info set forth here or provides a sense of community given by CTH. A great big thank you goes out to all the mods that keep the friendly and clean atmosphere and commentary in motion!
It was about the time of the 2016 election. I was fed up with the lies in the media and was looking for more accurate information. I saw some of your stories referenced in other reporting and would follow the link to your page. What I like about it is your razor-like logic and detailed reporting. Most of the time I have to read one of your posts 2 or 3 times to understand it, but when I do, it’s brilliant! But not all the time. I think you were led down the primrose path by William Aldenberg. I think he just wanted to see what you had so he could obstruct it. Please keep us posted when you find a new home. I check you several times every day!
Heros are ordinary people who do, and say, extraodinary things.
Sundance you are a hero… The Conservative Treehouse provides a safe space for freedom of thought.
The posts seen on this page, along with the equally informative comments, captured my attention.
Why? Much like an onion it is essential to peel away the layers to arrive the truth. Heros seek truth no matter where it leads.. The msm hopes that the masses rely on the outer layer of the onion they serve up on a daily basis.
Let it be known that I am truly greatful for the Conservative Treehouse and its faithful audience.
I live a few miles away from Plimoth Plantation. Since I am a student of history I value the integrity of those who understand that, much like the Pilgrims, working together is essential to survival and harmony… let’s rock on…
Like so many others, I found TCTH back in the Trayvon days when the msm was doing what they do best, ignoring facts and running with standard talking points.
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?
I don’t quite remember what brought me here first. I started becoming interested in politics at an early age and took political science as my major at undergrad around 2008. I took as many political courses as I could including philosophy and political theory. I used to listen to the Blaze daily until Beck jumped off the deep end and I switched to Levin (who also jumped off the deep end on Trump not that long ago). I’ve become bitter and tired of listening to those who try to come off as being smarter than you. This place doesn’t do that.
What was it that brought you here?
The daily indepth articles that cut through the crap. I know what I believe in and I know when things go against those values. I can tell when people are telling you what to think instead of how to think. This is the place where my values are shared. It’s the only place I’ve found. Me and my parents still watch Fox sometimes, but I think we all know by now Fox News is biased and has ulterior motives to most of it’s productions.
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value?
We have to stand together or we’ll continue to be sliced and diced with class/race/sex warfare. Like I said before, this is the only place where I’ve found the content to agree with my values. I think there’s many of us out there. I don’t post much, but I read the articles on here daily. I’m ready for whatever comes next for CTH and whatever comes next for our country. I value this website more than any other on the internet and that’s saying a lot since I spend most of my time on the computer. Anything you need, just let us know. I think there’s a lot of us who would be willing to contribute in some way for this site to continue to educate us.
Final words for this post: Sic semper tyrannis. Live free or die. Don’t tread on me. Deus Vult. Molon Labe. God bless America. 🙂
I seem to remember I found CTH when someone posted a link on freerepublic.com. I then saw other links posted later and became interested because the posts smacked of truth rather than political bs. I don’t remember how, but somehow later I found your revelations appearing in my email inbox on a regular basis, and I’m glad I did, because I have NEVER found any hint of falsehood in any of them. If they’re speculative, you say so. You provide the best conservative analysis on the web. And I thank you for it.
Obama and his nefarious doings brought me here—searching for truth and how to deal with it all. It didn’t take long to realize the value of the information Sundance provides. Sundance talks straight without using words that require a dictionary to understand.
Our country has been on a rollercoaster since my first visit here. How could I possibly leave one of the few places where truth is found!
1. I can’t remember the year (could it have been 2011?), my husband first told me to try CTH. I used to go to Drudge constantly and Breitbart and National Review Online but I became increasingly dissatisfied with the sensationalism of Drudge, the shallowness of Breitbart after Andrew died, and the haughtiness of National Review.
2. I stuck here because I loved Sundance’s integrity, work ethic, attention to detail, thoroughness and honesty.
3. I lurked for a long time never commenting. I am not on social media, don’t Tweet, but I do comment here. I have learned so much from the Treepers. This is really my main source of news. We cut cable four years ago. I probably come here more than 10 times a day, everyday. I watched all of the President’s rallies from here and all of the press conferences, news clips and so on that Sundance posts.
1) I saw a link on zerohedge or TGP, and took a look.
2) I was seeking information, and there/is plenty of information here.
3) I stayed for the quality of content by the site, and the caliber/character of the active forum community. I support the site for $200.00 bucks a year for the past 3-4 years. I should give more. I will give more. Thank you, CTH.
I still believe Trump will win this. They knew that massive voter fraud was going to happen. So they were watching. They saw it all.
This is the third website I have habituated in my 20 years of internet commenting.
The first website started out great, with a lot of intriguing interactions but got infiltrated by juveniles and I went from commenting to encourage critical thinking to drawn-out arguments that were so circular, illogical, and intellectually dishonest, I disengaged and began commenting on . .
The second website which was affiliated with a Cheeto-crusher that was eventually weaned of commenting there altogether for whatever reason, to . . .
The third website — the Last Refugee. I got here by hitting a link from someone who commented about this place from that second website mentioned.
I like it here because there is not the juveniles, or the playing with numbered ‘likes’ (aka, insecurity) from the owners with this site in the relationship with commenters. We are well-behaved and self-governing here, which is why I believe most free people simply inherently gravitate to such a gathering.
The one thing that those two other websites did that, I believe, felled them, was to build a private messaging system for their commenters into their sites. It is far better to have open and transparent ‘talk’, IMHO.
Someone on PJMedia’s Belmont Club (by Richard Fernandez) recommended this “hangout” to me back in early 2015 as the “best analysis on the net” and have been here for the truth and the facts ever since.
