We have a rather unique situation here… The digital U-Haul is loaded after our eviction from WordPress/Automattic for violations of community ‘wrong think’ and questioning narratives against the interests of Big Tech. After a decade on the platform we are sweeping up the porch and saying farewell to the WordPress community.
The CTH family is disappointed at the business position of Automattic, but we are also excited about the new home we have created. CTH 2.0 is going to be awesome, liberating and even better. We are so blessed and fortunate beyond my wildest imaginings.
Right now we are patching the holes in the walls and running the vacuum while our long-time friends stop by to express their anger about our eviction. Simultaneously, those who moved away to the big city are coming back to visit and express their support.
I cannot go into details, mostly because I haven’t yet decided whether to accept a proposal for a grand exit – or stick to our customary & understated simple wave farewell, but the big city folks want to use this eviction as a warning of sorts.
Apparently, the youthful rebellious spirit within those who sold-out to mega-media conglomerates and bright lights has been triggered. A spirit we at CTH retain.
Out there in the land of the MSM right now there is a group of ‘journalists’ ideologically reminiscing for a time when the counter-culture was fighting for the truth; damn the consequences and without care for wounded feelings, delicate sensibilities or financial livelihoods. They reflect on a spirit we have retained and protected within our CTH community. A spirit we will never stop safe-guarding from enticement and compromise.
We are rag-tag misfits, we are proud of it, and -if needed- we clean up well.
We are a crew more comfy eating pizza from box on a tailgate than trying to fit in with a new media outlook of highfalutin’ big technocrats. We are, quite simply, the rebel alliance.

I found CTH in January 2016 via link from another site in my quest to find out what happened in the 2016 election. After believing I was reading the truth, I researched who Sundance was and consequently confirmed my belief. I grew to recognize the handles of other readers who’s comments I held in high regard. I’ve read nearly every CTH article since and will continue to do so.
Fairly new here. Sometime in the Age of Trump. I got here by following a link from somewhere which is my normal way of seeking information. I stayed because of your practice of posting copies of documents that others either bury or spin. When I am interested in a topic, I like to get down in the weeds. It is extremely difficult to try to figure out what is actually going without doing that.
I found this site right around the time of the murder of Jessica Chambers, and watched everyone here come together to try and solve the case, so 2014 or so? Was just following a random link off of another site (no idea which though).
Enjoyed reading through the in-depth coverage and was impressed with the effort and analysis. To try and crack the case for an unknown girl that no one else seemed to be paying much attention to was something I was glad to be part of. Was also very random to find a place where people were getting directly involved, and felt like (and still seems) a friendly place to hang out.
I watched the pivot and focus switch from a bit of everything, to a prescient advocate for a DT Presidency, and I continue stopping in nearly every day to review the political news of the day from a CT perspective. Thank you for your hard work, and am very much looking forward to seeing the new hangout.
I just sat down to write a comment and OldME’s post says exactly what I was going to say. My husband found this site following random links for George Zimmerman articles and came across the Jessica Chambers case here, and got me interested back in 2014?.
I have learned so much over the years from Sundance and the community he has gathered around him. My husband passed away this February and I miss the conversations we had, often related to what we had read on CTH. I still visit the site daily, sometimes more than once. I rarely post any comments although my husband did from time to time.
I’m saddened by what’s happening in our country, but I take heart from brave Patriots like Sundance and draw sustenance from the CTH family. Thank you for all your efforts.
Yes, same timing as islandgirtvt—Zimmerman and Chambers. This site has indeed been a refuge for truthseekers. As truth gets even harder to find each year, my go to site remains the CTH. I appreciate that most responders are capable of stringing a few sentences together without vulgarity, a pleasant change from most other blogs. Thanks for all you do!
I came here during the Trump 2016 campaign. I was looking for sites that held a supportive view of the candidate, since it seemed weird that EVERYBODY in the propaganda press was foaming with hatred for him. CTH was not only supportive, but offered insights that the MSM wouldn’t begin to address. So that’s what got the site a bookmark from me, and I’ve been a regular reader since. Even though my comments won’t post anymore, I still read.
Andrew Breitbart had passed away and his Big sites started losing his spirit and I saw a link in a comment and followed it over here. CTH has “no fear” taking on a subject, whether right or wrong.
The CTH community is well informed as well and a certain esprit de corps that always defaults to freedom and love of the USA and Western ideals.
I stay because of the insight and deep analysis of the subjects of the day.

I found this place years ago. I visit daily. I found it I’m sure by accident but was immediately struck by the truth that lies within the pages.
Today’s media, even when honest, is boiled down into 30 second clips or short, USA Today style articles. There is no discussion or deeper analysis of the issues. It’s mass consumption for the non thinking crowd.
Not so here. That’s what draws me back and I’m happy to see many, many others. The thinkers that provide content and read this site, that seek to understand the truth is what drives my return.
Nothing happens exists in a vacuum, the thinkers here understand that, if it did, the Treehouse wouldn’t need to exist.
The Treehouse is a light in the dark, leading those who understand and seek truth.

It was about late 2015 for me. I was starting to take a keen interest in the upcoming 2016 elections and CTH was by far the most straightforward site and also explained some things that were going on that didnt seem to be reported at all by other media outlets. CTH has since been my morning, noon and right before bed news site whether I was at home, on road or at work. My friends and family were informed as a result of many of the things described/reported on CTH. Great job and if CRH stays the course I, and many others, will continue to follow, distribute and march on. I especially felt connected when Sundance described my disgust with DC Establishment Pols / career bureaucrats as “COLD ANGER”. That is what Ive got and CTH diagnosed it. It is contagious. Thx CTH.
I don’t remember when it was, but an article was linked by Big Fur Hat over at I Own The World Report, and I (like many here), was hooked to the extent that you are part of my morning rounds every morning on the ‘net, and I return many times during the day.
The folks here have a fire in the belly and a pride in our country that is kind of like comfort food for our soul–when in doubt, you come home to the CTH and find sanity and security.
I am a former FBI Agent. In 2012 or so I realized our nation had been taken over by a corrupt cabal of bad actors in the CIA (Obama, Brennan, etc.) and subverted the leadership ranks of my beloved FBI. I became very distressed that no one else observed what was happening. And even more distressed that I didn’t have a means to resist this corruption.
The FBI deleted my tip line submission of July 26, 2011 about Obama allowing a terror attack against the government of a NATO ally – Norway, July 22, 2011. And again in August 2013 when I laid out the case for how the CIA & NSA withheld information from the FBI that allowed Tsarnaev to bomb the Boston Marathon. I have since realized the NSA piece, PRISM & XKeyScore, were automated and no one at the NSA actually programmed their system to withhold the information – Brennan’s NCTC – National Conspiracy to Terrorize Citizens – used their targeting authority to sequester the information from the FBI. Why, so Brennan’s stock portfolio would increase in value as Congress threw more and more money to the NCTC, who then passed the money to the “indispensable government contractor” that held the copyright on the terrorist tracking database software and the name searching function FUZZY FINDER – The Analysis Corporation (TAC).
Brennan tried to hide his crime by holding the stock in his TAC 401k, but as Q would say, “these people are stupid.” TAC changed its name to GTEC and then Sotera, but it was still the same “indispensable government contractor”. Based on Brennan’s Financial Disclosure forms, and SEC.Gov filings, he held onto his stock in the company 401k because he saw to it the contents of the company 401K didn’t change as the company changed names and ownership. Brennan even listed the TAC 401k, now named Sotera 401K on his 2017 financial disclosure form – what a dope.
Sadly, everyone I spoke to wanted to continue to believe we couldn’t possibly be subverted by greedy insiders whose greed became Treason. I think I learned of the Treehouse with a post on another blog. I had found a “Rag Tag Bunch of Conservative Misfits” who looked at the facts and drew logical conclusions. What a relief!! I was no longer alone…
It was through your site I learned of Q in Jan 2017. I am an experienced Counterintelligence Officer and it took me several months to confirm that Q was the real deal. I thought it was too good to be true! Once I was satisfied it was real, my distress IMMEDIATELY dropped – my blood pressure fell 20 points! There was an alliance of patriots who wished to save our Republic and honor our constitution.
I am so grateful for your insights on the political angles being pursued by the Uni-party, and greatly saddened politicians I thought could be trusted were just glad handing criminals. But, the truth sets us free – and I am more free now than I have been in decades.

I started reading CTH about five years ago, maybe six. I do not recall what prompted me to come here, but I started reading the analysis and was able to “go deep”. The analysis of the political spying on the Trump campaign was spot on, and when flickers of it started oozing out on the mainstream, I knew all the details three years before. Three years is a long time in the 24 hour news cycle.
The comment section is entertaining and informative, far less vitriolic than other sites by both design and moderation. I am very thankful for that. Dialog and discussion is thoughtful here, as is the analysis. That is why I stay, and that is why I will move to CTH2.0 when the time comes.

Not sure if I remember exactly how I stumbled here but it was doing research, and following good information some years ago…I do know I began to vet the information here.I saw an interview where Bill Hemmer shocked Schumer and Grahamnesty by asking a no no question…” What we you doing with ( Obama’s fixer) Peter Rouse the night of Benghazi….?? The shaky, non answer, and obvious guilt look made me curious..I took the time to go over the Whitehouse logs for a long time to find the 530 p to 1100 p sign in!!! I knew then that y’all’s reporting was the real deal, among other verifications..There are very few sites that I trust btw…

If I recall correctly I stumbled upon this site in 2012 thru another website called “Western Rifle Shooters Association” and cannot even remember how I found the latter. Part of the process of red pilling myself. Thank you Treehouse for all that you do. I have benefited greatly from this website and it has helped me realize I am not alone or crazy in how I look at the state of this country.
I found the Treehouse years ago and it’s been my daily favorite site. I learned about Main Street vs Wall Street economics among other things. I love the smart comments and the Patriotic and Christian views, and it’s encouraging to know we are many. I loved when Sundance went to DC to confront some people. I will happily follow CTH and pray our influence will grow in this information war for freedom and constitutional law.
You ferreted out the Truth as best you could amid this diarrhea of lies which has become the Mainstream Media.
And then you told it to us as you saw it….backed it up with excellent information supporting your conclusions–and provided analysis to help us understand the intricate and sordid level of corruption which has deeply infected our government in Washington, our multinational corporations, and most of all, our Media.
A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.

I found the tree house during the Trayvon Martin happening while doing research on what happened in March or April of 2012 as I remember it. I was very impressed by the detail and method of analysis used to find out what really happened.
I had been doing research on the myth of climate change destroying the planet for about four or five years at that point and if that subject could be distorted into a false narrative i realized that anything could be. And I haven’t missed a post since.
And of course I will be at the new tree house as soon as it opens.
I do have my own blog using Word press so I maybe OK for now as I’m a small fraction of CTH but unless we can stop the assault on the Constitution I know my time is limited too.
I stumbled in back in 2014 while researching the enterovirus d68. What I found was a wealth of information complete with sources and links. (A rare find these days.) I never left. Back in early 2013 I probably imagined the ‘pundit class’ would be swept aside in a few short years in favor of completely-online, independent journalism, or at least aggregates of the news that would pull in a variety of sources. It’s the end of 2020 and that clearly has not happened.
It’s amazing that public distrust of Big Media has soared but at the end of the day the majority of the people still blindly accept the same identical regurgitated headlines from all the alphabet networks.
The struggle is daunting. We’ve seen firebrands like Alex Jones and Milo get virtually silenced in the public sphere, and next-gen media like Steve Lookner endure all sorts of ‘coincidental’ online blackouts until he has co-opted a more ‘mainstream’ perspective. It seems likely that CTH will be not be the last independent forum to face banishment.
And yet it’s 2020 and we are still posting, and will continue to share alternative perspectives in the pursuit of truth. It’s all we can do.
Why not move to another WordPress hosting company? You don’t have to stay with them, I moved over to a new hosting company and updated my look and feel. Automatic is not needed. can be used but not needed. It is a matter of setting up your site how you like.

I read CTH per advise from Detective ‘Just give me the facts’, Joe Friday. CTH consistently provides necessary supporting facts (transcripts, court documents, public reports, testimonies, etc) before coming to any conclusions or posting a theory.
I have been part of the CTH family so long, I’m not really certain how I came upon it. I do, however, remember a fantastic piece by Sundance, painstakingly diagramming John McCain’s unsavory (to say the least) agendas and international contacts, including known terrorists. The piece shredded the undeserved reputation of a man the rest of the world still believed was a hero. He wasn’t. It took enormous bravery and integrity to put the facts out there.
I was floored by the in-depth research, original documents and photographs contained within the body of the piece. It was so meaty it took me two days to get through it all. And it was worth every second. The piece was not an opinion piece. It was an outstanding example of what research reporting should be and something I hadn’t seen anywhere else in a long time; perhaps never before.
I found then, and many, many times since, that Sundance’s exemplary work is often months ahead of the curve and, sadly, it hasn’t been until recently that conservative pundits, such as Rush Limbaugh and Lou Dobbs, have given the Treehouse the attribution, by name, that is so richly deserved. The caboose to this lengthy train is I was hooked. Big time.
I have stayed because the integrity of the site has never wavered once. This site is not a “groupie” outlet. It is, however, solidly committed to the truth, even when the truth is difficult to bear. Conservative Treehouse is part of my life. It’s the first place I visit every day, and the last place I go before shutting off my computer. I will ALWAYS be loyal to this site and pray that the transition to a new platform will be seamless. I honestly don’t know what I would do without it.
I was disgusted by the media bias revealed during Ozero years, and by the leaking/rumormongering following Trayvon’s demise. MSM went out the window and by 2015 conservative blogs were daily reading. I don’t remember how I first linked to CTH, but I’ve been here every day since.
Sundance’s insistence on attributed information and corroboration is a primary reason for my loyalty. However, Sundance’s view of the intersection (forgive me for using that word) of economics and politics, his logical analysis, his persistence in exposing fraud are each reason enough to spend some time here each day.
I very much appreciate the comments of the other Treepers who faithfully pray, who report on their special points of view, those who can expand on Sundance’s essays as well as those who take issue with some aspect of the essay or with others’ comments.

Also appreciated is the one-stop-shop offering quick perusal of some extraordinary investigative work by other sites aligned with our pro-freedom, pro-America, pro-family, truth-seeking stance that rejects “guilt without vice and innocence without virtue” force fed the American people by MSM. You are a Hero and Patriot profoundly impacting our times, Sundance, in the league of prescient, faith-filled Founding Fathers and Mothers who also rejected Herd-Think to launch this astonishing and Providential national journey. I found the site while desperately looking for the truth behind the drama depicted on the news of a white man shooting down a little black boy walking through the yard. The news was of cold blooded murder, the innocent little kid shot three times in the back for no reason.
During that weekend, I went on a short cruise and was out of the news the entire time. When I returned I started investigating for myself to find there was more to the story. I finally discovered this little group of misfits and discovered people actually digging for the whole story. The truth!
Fortunately, this site was interested in all the truth, so my little investigative (nosy) brain discovered that this small website was also interested in digging through the dramatic story for the tidbits of truth found behind, under and around the surface.
It was the deep commitment of Sundance and his peeps that provided information sufficient that when the hearings began, and then the trial, I was fully informed and was able to watch with these other deeply interested people.
Although the prosecutor and their merry band of henchmen were lacking in the in the desire for real justice, we were able to comment with a group who put together everything, even the purpose of the “iced tea and skittles”
What might seem like information overload was enough to keep me coming back after the acquittal and in the next event that needed truth. No matter the topic, it is the deep commitment to the real and complete truth that keeps me coming back searching the informed comments.

In a county that posted 90% vote for President Trump. In the 2016 election, one Georgia county had a higher percentage of votes that mine by .2%, but this year we came out in force with the highest voting percent for the Trump.

Years ago, Sundance, via Canada Free Press (or maybe Lucianne), I read your post on the Benghazi atrocity and the ‘behind the scenes’ activity that precipitated it. I was very impressed with the breadth and depth of the article but did not make the connection to your website. I guess I thought it was a ‘stand-alone’ piece. Fast forward to Trayvon Martin- I came across your extensive research into the true nature of Mr. Martin and his small-time criminality. This time I made the leap to CTH and have been hooked ever since.
Your research and analysis are unparalleled and I’m very fond of the treepers. I was so offput by the vulgarity and insane hostility in the comment sections of other blogs I had been reading. Your readers and commenters were a wonderful breath of fresh air- friendly, appreciative, often funny and always sincere. This is a special place.

I am not sure how I was directed to CTH originally, but I do know it was during Treyvon Martin. It was obvious to me that all was not what it seemed, and I must have either searched it or followed a link from someplace to find CTH. The research done here on Treyvon was amazing and supported what I instinctively knew to be true – not the patently obvious fake crap being spewed by MSM. I have a list of websites that I visit each morning for the daily news roundup and so, I added CTH to that list. And, then President Trump got elected. He has this way of making traitors expose themselves; it’s really quite remarkable. CTH was the only place I could go to for information on the coup attempts – I think we’re up to 4 now, aren’t we? If I didn’t have CTH to go to for the truth…
I’d been reading at “The Right Scoop,” and many of the writings began to not sit with me “just right.” A commenter at the RS referenced this site. The timing was not far from your beginnings here, and I’ve been a reader/lurker ever since. I appreciated the writings, info, references, and I still do!! I also appreciated that those making the comments usually added additional research/info to the original post. I came to the Treehouse via another site, about 6-7 years ago. This site had linked to an article Sundance had written. I forgot to bookmark CTH and could never remember “The Conservative Treehouse.” Then, weeks or months later, I see another link. I bookmarked CTH and it has been party of the morning ritual ever since (or multiple times a day when things are really moving).
The name says it all. When I think of “Conservative Treehouse,” or “The Last Refuge,” I imagine a modern day version of Huckleberry Finn on the river. Folks that aren’t necessarily well polished or put on aires, but aren’t a bunch of rubes, either. We stick to the river because it’s home, it’s calming and it provides what we need to survive. If we venture too far from home, things are less clear and a bit more pessimistic.
We all have different backgrounds, come from different states or countries, but we all share what this site has to offer because it has an energy that is different from anywhere else. It’s not just the research; it’s that the reader actually gains knowledge from that research. I’ve learned more from this site than I could ever recite voluntarily. But if you asked me about (insert topic here), I could answer an questions you may have.
There’s always a message of positivity. “Live your best life…” I always have to remind myself of this. Live in the moment because those are the times you will remember fondly. Even when things are looking grim, Sundance has a way of making them not seem so bleak. Take a breath, reset, we aren’t done yet.
Comments are crucial. I don’t comment very often, but I read the comments sections a lot. As I stated, people here aren’t rubes. There are so many different takes on a story or event, supports from readers. And often times, these comments are just as in depth, showing me something that I didn’t consider. And I love the back and forth and seeing the old hand names. People acknowledging each other from parts unknown. I could come here with an issue about anything, and I would get advise on how to handle it. It really IS community (and cheaper than a shrink). They wouldn’t take us in the Big Club, so we made our own.

CTH had the look and feel of American Thinker (in fact, at first I thought they were the same website). Then one afternoon in 2017 I read a few of Sundance’s articles and I was hooked. Same goes for the substantive comments…highly informative and entertaining!
What was it that brought you here? Essentially, intuitively I knew the news I was reading didn’t sync with my intuition, natural laws, and what I was hearing on the street (outside the Beltway).

Came across Tree House in a link in a comment in a blog posting at Town Hall, years ago.
And I kept coming back because I found the unvarnished truth about the Beast we all face today. Kinda like taking the red pill on Matrix. There was no-one saying and explaining the reality of politics like Sundance and He was proven right.
The splitter strategy series of the GOP nailed it.
Most other Conservative pundits along the way betrayed themselves one way or the other as being Establishment agents. Like Trump, CTH seemed to speak for me in a way very few others did.

I came here because of Sandy Rios in the Morning. I am the type of person that thinks deeply, and I appreciate the careful, thoughtful articles posted here. While this is one of many sites I frequent, they are either based in The Truth of God or seeking journalistic truth.
Technology, along with an abandonment of God, has deceived many into following a brief, false narrative instead of thinking and seeking truth. Thank you for that and may all go well at the new platform.
I think it was in 2015 that I came to the Treehouse through a link provided by Spinquark News (an aggregator of news stories with a conservative bent, much like The Drudge Report used to be) and was impressed by that particular post – I don’t recall what the post was about.
Then I came back a couple of times later and started going through the archived postings and immediately saw and realized the depth of the analysis provided. Within days I was hooked and have been coming back on a daily basis, mostly lurking. I’ve noticed that when there are breaking news events appearing on other news outlets, it is not so here. No, it won’t be until later that SD will post commentary, meaning that there was thought and analysis considered first, not a knee-jerk rush to “get something out”.
Anyway, the Treehouse is now my go-to site and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. I have recommended to family and friends because I consider it that valuable. I pray the transition to the new platform will happen as easy as can be expected and be successful!
I don’t recall exactly how I first discovered the Treehouse but it was sometime in 2015…. probably through a link to an article from one of the other few free thinking sites i read. I do recall my reaction to discovering the site as one similar to when i first heard Rush on my car radio back in 89… finally somebody is saying what I have been thinking. What kept me here is the quality of writing of Sundance… not just the topics and information. I really appreciate good writing and it is so rare these days.
The first year or so I was basically just lurking. Then we got into all things Trump with the campaign and I started posting. At some point in 2017 I posted some negative comments about Trump and how he couldn’t keep his mouth shut and he was on the verge of loosing support of conservative women. This observation from my own experiences… folks loved his policies but thought he didn’t need to tell us everything he thinks on every issue. This comment got me banned for a year.
Even though I couldn’t post I still read the site as it was spot on with content and I crave truth. The broad range of topics addressed by Sundance is nowhere else to be found on the internet. You could tell he was getting a lot of attention despite the suppression of the internet guardians. One of the highlight of each and every day for me was looking forward to Sundance’ comments on the particular big news of the day.
Last week I made a comment about how Trump through Sidney under the bus. This prompted the Treehouse to put a hold on all my posts until they were reviewed by moderators. I suspect this post will be reviewed as well. I find this very disappointing given the current outlandish censorship of twitter and Word Press… not to mention ironic. As an aside I have been known to post some things that I regretted very soon thereafter… scotch has a way of doing that.
Going forward I hope that this site will thrive with it’s new platform and more and more people will be exposed to truth and the utter falsities and corruption of the establishment and it’s media mouth pieces. And I really pray that Rush will live on through the voices of those brave Americans like Sundance and hopefully many others.
My son turned me on to this 2 yrs ago. I’m 79 yrs old and have been a student of politics since Goldwater. I had a good understanding of what was happening, but CTH lifted the skirts on the dirty processes of the DC for me and laid bare the true motivations of these people and their families. I believe we need to set up a group to looking into each politician and their family members to expose and root them out.
Like most, I stumbled on the site quite a while back and decided to stay. I don’t comment very often as the “regulars” cover the normal inquiries and clarifications on perspective. I stay for the truth and because you actually get that “they know that we know that they know …..in Infinium”. I’d pay a subscription price to help you all cover your costs; let us know your needs etc..
It’s been over 5 years since I have been digesting the wisdom, foresight and truth offered by Sundance and crew. Not sure if I found CTH from a link in another article or was directed here from a friend, but thank God I found CTH. CTH offered a wealth of information, clarity on issues found no where else, and although I myself don’t often comment, the comments from those within the CTH community provided further tidbits of information and insight adding further truth and clarity. Thank you all for the efforts to shed the light of truth, and damn be the consequences. God bless you all.

The link, name, “The Last Refuge” said something to me, maybe poignantly but, at least there was, a place for conservative thought.
Over time, I found the detective work, investigation, and reading superior to most other “news” places.
I will return to 2.0, and am happy to have made it here, even at the end of 1.0.
Years ago, when Drudge felt like true North, I made an effort to check out all of the smaller, linked sources. This website had the appearance of another that I was excited to find (Marooned in Marin), as we had recently left California, but were thinking of returning, and I was feeling a bit of dread. Andrew Breitbart was alive and I was invigorated, or at least felt “not alone” enough to move back to CA, supported by a thread to the truth that surely others around me might be aware of. I once submitted a prayer request – something so far out of character for me that I claim it as proof. Time passes, truth stays hidden, and this site remains the site I check daily to remind myself that the goodness and wisdom and comfort that I expected to see in adults when I was young, does exist, but is hidden beyond the edge of the spoon we are increasingly offered. It is a place of relief for this displaced-person living in their own country.
I really can’t remember what subject I was researching or which link I followed that landed me here at the treehouse about 4 years ago. I found Sundance’s posts very informative, and true. Since then I come here every day, it’s my first stop in the morning. After reading the daily posts it usually took about one to two days or even longer for the rest of the web to get the same news I would find here. I appreciate the smart posts and the informative comments. This short answer does not really convey the amount of love and respect I have for Sundance and all the people at this site. I would follow you wherever you go. Thank You.
I found the Treehouse through my departed mother. She was an old school journalist who believed the job of journalism was to be the watchdog of the community. She told me back in the 70’s and 80’s that the newspapers and most staff had all gone left wing. She started out with a very small town paper back when people still set type, so she was not one of them. For years she covered state politics and she had a deep feel for what would happen, an acute instinct. She sent me here during Treyvon Martin, but it was when Trump was running that it became a habit. I learned from my mother to believe nothing without digging to original sources. I always knew Fox news was junk. I knew the main networks were a joke. I was very young during the Reagan presidency and believed everything bad about him (some of it was bad like CIA in South America). Looking back I realized I had been duped. I saw the Tawana Brawley reporting. The Treehouse links to sources every single time and is my primary source of well reported news. When Murdoch bought the WSJ I went looking for other news sources and various financial blogs took their place. You took the spot for political deep dives.
The day my mom died as part of an assessment they asked her what year it was, “1987” who is the president? “Trump!!” Nothing made her happier than the election of DJT. I thought he was a joke as I only knew his media image, but when the news went all out to attack him, I went digging and found a totally different man. What other president has lost billions by getting elected? He is the real deal and we are lucky he is fighting for us.
My mom also ranted constantly about Sundance not having a decent copy editor. I wish she had been well enough to be part of the team. I believe she was here from the beginning and had even met some of the people involved in person.
How did you find yourself a member of the CTH community?….
-It was a years long evolution…from lurker, to semi-active commentor. A wise man once impressed upon me the value of keeping one’s mouth shut & observing/learning when in a ‘new’ environment. Then, to share an opinion if (and ONLY if) that input can somehow add to the discussion. This spirit of mutual benefit derived from thoughtful, tempered responses is alive & well here @ CTH…

Don’t recall the topic/story, but it was a hot link to CTH posted (years ago) by a respected member on an (outdoors related) open forum.
And why did you stick around with this group through whatever endeavors you found of value?
I truly believe the overwhelming majority of humans have ‘goodness’ in their soul. The evil powers in this world seek to destroy that ‘goodness’, by manipulating, diluting, or outright destroying the TRUTH.
Sundance & Co. have maintained CTH as a bastion for TRUTH. I am simply one God fearing soul who clings to the TRUTH as if it were a life raft in a stormy sea…

Trevon Martin brought me here via a link on another site. The msm coverage was not logical. They were covering up something and it seemed they were using it to tear the fabric of the country apart. Our president at the time was piling on in typical community organizer fashion. Sundance’s research was spot on and I was hooked.
I am a lurker here. Maybe 1 or 2 posts. However I learn so much and connect with so many of the comments. This is the first site I read each day. I feel like I’m in comfortable surroundings here and the faith element is a critical part of it. I can tell how much Sundance cares for others with hue hurricane recovery work and advice. I am concerned about the state of our country and I blame our education system for it. I get the type of education I need here.
I am thankful for the people and information available on this site. I appreciate the consistency of the analysis and I’m hoping something changes but I’m not sure “we the people” have the intestinal fortitude for what will be required to return us to the founding fathers vision. I pray I’m wrong but I live in the assurance of my Saviors love for me and His control of what happens.
