In a stunning reversal Wayne County Board of Canvassers Chairwoman Monica Palmer [affidavit here] and fellow GOP member William C. Hartmann [affidavit here] have filed affidavits rescinding their prior vote to certify the election in Wayne County, Michigan.
The two board members cite threats against their family as the pressure put upon them to certify the Detroit area vote against their original decision not to certify.
John Solomon – […] In an extraordinary turnabout that foreshadows possible legal action, the two GOP members of Wayne County’s election board signed affidavits Wednesday night alleging they were bullied and misled into approving election results in Michigan’s largest metropolis and do not believe the votes should be certified until serious irregularities in Detroit votes are resolved.

Yes! God bless them! I think all the prayers being offered up are having this effect. We are starting to see little victories here and there against the monolith. These two people taking a stand against the mob after first being maligned and threatened is, I believe, a strength they received through the prayers being prayed for God’s help. I was born and raised in Detroit. My mother worked for the city planning commission in the Detroit/Wayne county building in downtown. It was a great place to live until the late 60’s and…the racist Coleman Young became mayor. He was very hostile to whites.

This is the proper venue for these election disputes: The political process set up around certifying the vote and appointing electors, with the canvassing boards and state legislatures. The court cases are a last resort, if these problems can be dealt with properly by the state election officials then that would be best.
We need the canvassing board and state legislatures to refuse to certify the very obvious ballot box stuffing that occurred in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia.

There’s a guy in Michigan, Patrick Colbeck, who is working this pretty hard, was at the downtown Detroit counting room when the pollwatcher lockout occurred and the cardboard went up on the windows to hide the counting from observers, and he’s now commenting and I saw him on Lou’s program yesterday. . I met Colbeck in my driveway in the Tea Party days 10 years ago, he was doing the footwork for his campaign and rounding up votes. He got mine as soon as I met him. He’s an aerospace engineer and was running for the Michigan State House, and this was just before the R primary which he won, and then he won the general. Good guy, and I could tell then he was exactly what we needed. Lansing spurned him of course, and fought his every word. When term limits made him run for the MI Senate, he won that too, against the Uniparty machine who hated his common sense ideas. After the Senate, he ran for governor, but the Uniparty froze him out completely, no coverage whatsoever, and the Uniparty stooge Schuette won the R nomination, and proceeded to get whacked by Whitler, and here we are… in a totalitarian state issuing unConstitutional edicts, with the Soros-purchased SoS trying to steal an election.

This is a very brave move…but the RIGHT one! I can’t imagine how it feels having themselves and families threatened but these Thugs must be stopped! When your life is threatened for exposing fraud at work doing a financial audit, you never forget the experience. I certainly haven’t. I didn’t sleep for many nights, but at the end of the audit those who perpetrated the fraud were arrested and convicted because I hung in there instead of thinking I would be hung, or shot, or beaten to death.
The pressure was enormous, but I eventually I was able to sleep at night.
This is but a drop in the ocean compared to Palmer and Hartmann, and I have great admiration for what they did knowing the physical and mental anguish personally.

We really need to figure out a legal way to provide armed security for our representatives, especially in these urban areas where we are so heavily outnumbered. Easy enough to legally guard homes in most states, it just takes the troops. Meetings like this are another matter as state laws tend to be restrictive.

Noticed from the comments all the rationale behind the affidavit rescinding their votes, plus a few comments about an agreement based on an audit. Besides those comments, is still also a fact that they refused to add their signatures to the final certifying documents?? If so, then can it be said that the count was never officially certified, without those signatures?

Racist is a human ability that allows us to differentiate individuals based on immutable characteristics found in a group of people – not necessarily color of skin. The ability is closely related to our survival instinct – the ability to recognize foe from friend.
Racism, on the other hand, uses those immutable characteristics to discriminate.
My point, we all have the ability to discern color, accents, mannerisms, dress, etc. and that ability does not make us bad. It is a human condition to see, hear, and process information about others. We are attracted to others that we discern are like us because our senses tell us they belong to our “birth tribe” and are, most likely a friend.
The use of that information to discriminate or to hurt others connotes racism. The left wants everyone to be maleable and homogeneous. Tito tried that in Yugoslavia and it did not work. We are different and we like different things and we are attracted to different people and we have different beliefs. But different- is difficult to control!
We should embrace our innate human ability to differentiate between races and characteristics and, most importantly, distinguish that ability from our ability to CHOOSE to not harm others based on those differences. That decision empowers us and negates the communists’ falsehood that an innate human condition is shameful.
