When I saw this earlier this morning, I did some searching and it is not like the President would gain 9,000 votes in the recount. Biden would have gained 9,000 votes if this was not caught. At least according to those replying to the original tweet reporting this.
Yep, though it definitely goes in the category of “if mistakes are that easy to make on a re-count, then technically neither candidate won GA, and it should go to the Legislature to decide the electors.”
These states that trigger recounts at 0.5%, really the only recount they should be doing is a full manual recount with full ballot verification. There’s just way too much human error here and we’re finding that the people doing the counting cannot enter the computer data right, cannot keep track of thumb drives, lose chain-of-custody on votes, and generally screw up everything they touch.
At the end of the day, GA is a tie. It should go to the Legislature to decide. In fact, if we ever get out of this mess, that might make a nice reform – anything less than 0.5% is basically a tie if the total votes cast exceeds 100,000 – and the election goes to the State Legislature to decide.
Who created this notion of recounts only at .5%?

I think that varies State to State. The cutoff may be to get a Free recount. I heard on Bannon that President Trump is sending $8 million to WI for the recount there. Hopoe ists an Maudit like he wanted.
Believe it or not, it varies by state. Some set the threshold at 1%. I think the idea is that random human error could account for a difference of about 0.5%. I suspect the recount rules are written with that in mind, not outright fraud. I mean, who would seriously commit fraud in an election? AmIright?! Lol

this is an example and not actual figures –
Biden – Statewide, leading by 8999 – total votes for him – 18,999.
President Trump – Statewide, trailing by 8999 – total votes for him – 10,000.
After this result where 9000 “mistaken votes are removed for Biden, the numbers will look like this –
Biden – Statewide, TRAILING by 1 – total votes for him – 9,999.
President Trump – Statewide, LEADING by 1 – total votes for him – 10,000.
I hope this helps in understanding the significance of this “adjustment”.

Retired Magistrate here: Two thoughts. A poster mentioned something about China using an EMP on the United States if President Trump wins this election. If I remember correctly in several of President Trump’s speeches he mentioned that we have very powerful new weapons now that he could not talk about. I am sure President Trump knows about the threat to this country by China or anyone else using an EMP against our electrical grid. In my opinion, we already have something in place.
Also, I think that Democrat plan is to replace Biden with Harris as soon as possible. However, now that Biden is this close to being President there is no way that he is just going to take a back seat and let Harris take his place. He is too arrogant for that so the Democrats will have to take Biden out one way or another.
Finally, as I said before I think that President Trump’s Executive Order 13848 regarding foreign interference with elections is his most formidable weapon but he will only use it as a last resort. He will exhaust all his other remedies before he uses that because President Trump knows that all hell will break loose in this country. That is why he replaced Esper so if he has to implement Executive Order 13484 he has someone in place who will carry out his orders with regard to the Insurrection Act of 1807, as modified.
The Biden issue is the same as Cruz in 2016. Remember his breakdown at the Republican Convention?

I remember PTrump was not so happy with Romney picking Paul Ryan for running mate and he was very vocal about it, and I believe he thought he had been duped. Not so sure that Romney was innocent in his loss in 2012. If PTrump thought Romney was a victim he wouldnot be an enemy to Romney. Romney was nowhere to be found 1 month before the election. I believe he and Paul Ryan were complicit in throwing the election to Obama and were rewarded BIGLY FOR IT. I believe PTrump started really digging after that. Just my opinion.
