One of our monitors discovered a 9,626 vote error in the DeKalb County hand count. One batch was labeled 10,707 for Biden and 13 for Trump – an improbable margin even by DeKalb standards. The actual count for the batch was 1,081 for Biden and 13 for Trump.
Had this counting error not been discovered, Biden would have gained enough votes from this one batch alone to cancel out Trump’s gains from Fayette, Floyd and Walton.

I’m looking at the Hampton inn and suites off 28 near Dulles, does that sound like something close to what you guys are doing?
We’re flying in to Reagan National (DCA) and staying at the Crystal Marriot right near this airport.
If I can go, I would stay at the Hampton Inn Old Town, Alexandria..have stayed there before..it is only 10 minute walk to Metro…then take that anywhere in DC or area; you can walk to multiple restaurants near hotel..but I don’t know what COVID rules are in place. That is very close to Reagan National, either first or second stop off Metro..could also take a cab….cab was only about $17 from airport to hotel…really not bad….don’t know about cab into DC…but I agree I would not stay in downtown DC…
I would hate to stay just for two nights….maybe get there a day earlier to relax ..it’s a 7 -8 hour drive from here but I have an older car…so I don’t know..but the hotel room is about half of what it is during prime season….just checked.

aisheschayal and I are staying at the Crystal Marriott near Reagan National Airport and will meet each other Sat, Dec 12 at 9:30 a.m. We’ll then go to the Trump Hotel (outside) and will meet other Treepers there if they are also attending before heading to the rally. This time we made our hotel reservation near the airport (DCA) instead of in the downtown area. A few hours after the event on Saturday, we were not able to get back to our hotel because of protests (BLM/Antifa in the area). We were 2 blocks from our hotel and the police wouldn’t let us through (even though there were no protests right by our hotel). They wouldn’t walk us back to our hotel …. even though many of them were just standing around. The D.C. police – three times – directed us to different places but each were blocked off! Finally, I said to the police, “The police can’t help law-abiding citizens” and then ended the conversation with “The police WON’T help law-abiding citizens.”. In the end we walked about an hour extra until we could get back to our hotel (which had 6 police cars in front of it but no rioters)! We had tagged on with three young men from Chicago and Ohio for protection – luckily the worst that happened was that thugs drove by in their expensive SUV with “F…. Trump” blasting out. I yelled back, “God bless you” … then they yelled again … I yelled, “God bless you” again and they tore off.
I support the police, but many don’t like Trump and his supporters. Here in Las Vegas on two separate occasions at Trump events, young police officers “nicely harassed us”. It’s too long too describe what happened, but we “nicely stood our ground” and didn’t leave the event although that’s clearly what the police officers wanted us to do.
People need to factor this account as well as others that have surfaced into the travel, especially if youths are going to be involved.

Quick share re: China and Thanksgiving. Saw Williams & Sonoma was having a sale, so I decided to go online shopping for Thanksgiving-themed items, and a a few other things like a roaster. That’s right, I’m having one of those forbidden dinner parties, and I want it to look like Thanksgiving! Before I confirmed my order, I decided to check “info & dimensions” on one of the items, a turkey platter, MADE IN CHINA. So then I checked everything else, MADE IN CHINA. Plates, bowls, potato ricer and even the roaster , CHINA CHINA CHINA! I checked more roasters…All but one (much more expensive) All-Clad made in China. Needless to say, I did not place my order. I know it goes without saying Treepers, but do try to check and not purchase items made in China. Going to look for an old-fashioned roaster made in the USA at a thrift store or something, but worst case, I guess I’ll pay a premium for a non-Chinese roaster ?

I work diligently to buy non-China produced goods. It’s not easy and usually more expensive. We did some extensive remodeling a few years ago, and I searched out U.S.A. made kitchen cabinets, flooring, kitchen table and chairs, living room furniture, etc. It can be done, so thanks for the reminder. And, the thrift store idea is actually great!!! Piece by piece and brick by brick we have to untangle the grip China has. I tried years ago to do this, back when Walmart used to advertise “Made in the USA” (remember those signs?)— long gone.It’s actually a little easier now to find things using the internet. But, back in the day, most people didn’t seem to care about Chinese production of our goods. It was a losing battle. 🙁
