Minneapolis City Council narrowly approves plan to bring in outside police officers to help
Sheriff’s Office, Metro Transit eager to assist, but officers in short supply.
“A divided City Council on Friday approved nearly $500,000 to contract with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Metro Transit police for extra officers.”
But Metro Transit police “do not have capacity to provide additional resources to the Minneapolis Police Department,” according to a statement from Terri Dresen, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Council. Dresen said Metro Transit police will continue to work with Minneapolis in other ways.
Hennepin County Sheriff David Hutchinson said he is open to providing help for Minneapolis, but he said logistics need to be sorted out first, such as the hours the officers would work and the reimbursement rates.

If evidence turns up of systemic vote manipulation favoring the Democrats via Dominion Voting, with Pelosi’s former Chief of Staff playing a key role in getting Dominion purchased by state and county election boards, and political operatives shown to decide upon vote switches, and/or vote harvests in numbers needed to “win” the races they care about, perhaps the whole election can be invalidated, and an honest election ordered in its place, under federal court supervision.

I plan to wait for the JNJ vaccine. I take some vaccines, but not for flu. I study the safety profile of each one, versus the efficacy against the disease target, and the seriousness of that disease. I think shingles was the last one I opted for, but they may have hit me with a pneumonia vaccine at the same time..
JNJ’s vaccine is based on an adenovirus, not the riskier and newer retroviruses, like Pfizer’s and Moderna’s. In initial trials JNJ’s is 98% effective is creating antibodies to Covid with one shot. Side effects – half of people report either soreness at the spot or mild cold symptoms, resolved within 48 hours.
I need to travel internationally, and don’t want to be quarantined, nor accused of being a super spreader, look forward to being able to live a more normal life. I’m hoping it will be approved before February.

The nurse at my dr.’s office told me she would take it for at least 3 years to be certain there are no long term side effects from this new RNA vaccine which has never been used before. I won’t have my 11 yo get it and my hubby is not getting it. I have co-morbidities that put me at higher risk of complications and I’m taking personal responsibility to protect myself but do not expect the whole damn state (PA) to be locked down because of me nor would I demand mandated vaccines for others. I fully support everyone’s freedom to assess their own personal risk and to take their own precautions for themselves and their loved ones.

I pretty much don’t donate to “charities” with heartstring pulling names or the big huge specific medical issue charities; they’re all pretty big scams. St. Jude’s is a marked exception. If you want to donate that’s always a relatively safe one.
I have a chronic major organ medical condition and the main charity for it does help a few people but the millions upon millions mostly goes to admin and “research” salaries. My general read on that org. Is they are a anti -Trump outfit. People don’t have to agree but it is my first impression. I only barely started paying any attention to them post election.
Not impressed or pleased with what I’ve heard on the radio they run or links people have posted. In other words, not surprised.
Definitely anti-Trump, in my opinion, and have been this whole time. I quit reading and following them. Too much wasted anger on their BS reporting. (also quit FOX during the 2016 election after the debate with Me-again.)

IMO he has no real control over them right now, can’t replace them because it would take a Senate confirmation, and there is no trusted underling in their departments to trust to replace them. Also, Nasty Nancy is still in control of our Congress, and she is probably salivating at the thought of the President firing them so she can start impeachment proceedings again. He would probably rather retain his current power than risk it on that.
